Okay, quick note. This is a villain centric story and yes, bad things happen to good people. I wanted to try writing something with a villain lead after my last one shot and this idea came to me. I admit, I had some trouble writing it. I don't think I have the right mindset to really do a villainous character properly. But tell me what you think after you read it.
Also, 19k words. Enjoy.
"Leech!"
Leech, a young man no older than seventeen, turned his head to look at the man practically shouting his name inside of the dive bar. The man yelling was Giran, a small time villain who made his mark as a broker. What kind of broker? Yes. As in he'd buy and sell anything of any value whether stolen goods from a robbery or information.
He was also the best guy to talk to for getting a costume as a villain. A service that Leech had taken up once upon a time when Leech thought he'd be the 'next big thing' in villainy. Not the bottom dweller he currently was.
Leech's unique eyes, solid purple with black pupils and three surrounding black rings, focused on the broker. After taking a sip of his beer, it was a villain bar and they didn't card, "Sup?"
Giran, was middle aged with gray hair, a missing front tooth, and had the filthy habit of almost always smoking, gestured to the guy sitting in the booth across from himself, "Got a guy who might have a job for you."
Leech's eyes moved from Giran to the stranger. If his face hadn't already been flat with apathy, it would have dropped in disinterest as soon as he spotted the guy Giran was gesturing to. The man, somewhere in his twenties probably, looked sick. And not in the 'oh that's sick dude!' way, but as in he should be in the hospital. The guy had hair that looked like blue tinted white, red eyes, an emaciated looking frame, oh, and a severed hand on his face acting like a mask.
That was all Leech needed to see before saying, "Not interested."
Leech didn't consider himself a good person, or a bad person. Not really. Sure he did bad things like assault, battery, robbery, and the occasional murder. Though, in his defense, having an 'evil' Quirk had driven him out of society at a young age and most of his crimes came about from trying to survive. Society would call what he did to the three hundred pound fat guy trying to rape him in an alley murder, he called it justice. Anyway, the point was, some psycho walking around using a severed hand as a mask was not the kind of shit he wanted to deal with.
Apparently said psycho didn't care for Leech's opinion. At least that was what Leech assumed as the guy got to his feet and literally stalked over toward him. As he got closer and Leech saw more details, he realized the guy didn't just look emaciated, he also looked dried out. It was pretty creepy to be honest.
As the guy drew up next to Leech, he tilted his head and narrowed his red eyes so that he was literally looking down on Leech, "What gives an NPC like you the right to refuse?"
Leech sighed and added delusional to the list of issues the guy seemed to have. Calling him an NPC? Really? It kind of reminded him of that one blonde punk he'd robbed a while back. The little idiot kept shouting about how Leech was just a pebble and should leave him, the future number one hero, alone. It gave Leech a certain bit of schadenfreude when he'd punched the idiots lights out and stolen his wallet. It had been very worth it, even if he'd only gotten a few hundred yen out of the whole affair.
He focused back on the conversation and locked eyes with the man-child attempting to loom over him and appear intimidating. Which he was failing at spectacularly, "Fuck. Off."
Clearly the guy had zero chill because those two simple words had him screaming like some kid throwing a tantrum. The next moment he was thrusting his hand right at Leech's face, clearly trying to grab it. He was impressively fast at it too. Unfortunately for him, he chose to attack Leech.
You see, Leech had earned him name as a child when his Quirk manifested. It was a simple Quirk and his name said most of what it could do. That is, if he touched someone he could Leech power off of them. What he leeched was his choice but it could be physical strength, stamina, life force, and even Quirk factors. Whatever he took he only got limited use of. Generally for ever one second he Leeched power from someone, he would get two seconds of that power to use.
However, the huge advantage of it was the timer only counted down when Leech actively used the power. So, if he leeched Endevour's flame powers for thirty seconds, he would be able to use that power, at a time of his choosing, for a minute. The minute could be broken down into multiple uses as well, so three seconds here, fifteen there, and he'd still have forty-two seconds left on the clock to use whenever.
Not that he'd ever been stupid enough to go after someone as strong as Endevour. However, he had scuffled with many, many sidekicks. Most of them had shit Quirks that he only took a bit of to play with. Some had decent Quirks that made them somewhat competent but would never be enough to get a real rank. It was one of these slightly competent Quirks that he tapped into when the psycho chose to attack him.
With sharply increased reflexes, Leech used his left hand to sweet the guys wrist and knock his hand off course so it wouldn't touch him. At the same time Leech's right hand slipped into his jacket and came flying out with a six inch knife sharpened to a razors edge, a gift from his psychopathic girlfriend. Hell, she even taught him how to use it better. The blade's edge flashed twice as Leech used the last of his stolen enhanced reflexes to slash the tendons in both of the mans wrists taking away his ability to use his hands properly.
While the man reeled from having his hands disabled, Leech lunged up and wrapped his left hand around the mans throat and squeezed tightly completely cutting off airflow and blood flow to the brain. At the same time he activated his Quirk. A deep purple glow began to emanate from his palm and flow down his arm as he rapidly drained the man of his Quirk factor.
Doing so gave Leech an insight into what a Quirk could do so he could use it instantly if he wanted. Man did the guy have a nasty Quirk as his disposal. If he'd gotten his hand on Leech's face it would have been disintegrated into a bloody pile of mush. Such things are why Leech had zero issues attacking with deadly force when someone came at him first.
Ten seconds, that's all the time it took for the scuffle. It was only a few seconds later that Giran seemed to come to his senses. Kind of slow for the veteran but he hadn't been expecting the sudden violence, "Leech! Let him go! He's got a strong backer!"
Leech didn't let go of the mans neck and continued to drain him as much as he could while the guy uselessly struggled. Leech had slit his wrists horizontally so while the guy was bleeding fairly badly, it would take a fair bit of time to become deadly blood loss. Leech slowly turned to look at Giran, his gaze still as apathetic as it had been during the entire encounter, "So?"
"So?! So they'll kill you!"
Leech shrugged uncaring and squeezed harder on the mans throat, "Then that just means I didn't have the power necessary to protect myself, like this idiot."
As Leech spoke, a black cloud began to form around him and the man. He didn't know what it was and decided not to take any chances. He'd only managed to leech of off the guy for less than a minute, but that was alright. He activated the mans own Quirk and watched dispassionately as it immediately ate through the mans neck and decapitated him. Man, that rot, or disintegration, or whatever it was really worked fast!
The next moment Leech was completely surrounded by darkness and immediately after that he found himself inside of a jail cell. A quick look was enough to tell it wasn't one the police would have, too dark for one thing. The other thing was the shouting, screaming, and painful roaring coming from the other cells.
"Huh."
Leech looked around curiously. He'd never been teleported anywhere before so it was a unique experience. Though if the teleporting cloud thought he would just sit in the cell, it was sorely mistaken. A quick tap of his finger on the steel lock for the cell door had it turning into rust in seconds. A gentle shove had the disintegrated lock easily giving way and letting Leech walk out of the cell.
He looked around the hallway he found himself in and only saw a door at one end. With a helpless shrug, he started walking toward it. He glanced into the cells he passed and decided whoever ran this place was one twisted fuck. He'd dropped out of school at an early age so he didn't know all the proper scientific terms for what he was seeing. What he did know is it was clearly experiments of some kind that was very clearly fucking people up. Hell, a couple of them had unnaturally black skin with the top halves of their heads missing and showing their brains.
Creepily enough, the only one not making a sound of complaint were the braincases.
The door to leave the area was locked, naturally, but psycho man's Quirk made quick work of the reinforced steel lock and let Leech leave without obstruction. He did spot security cameras in the halls but if an alarm was being raised, it was a silent one.
Leech walked through what he was beginning to realize was a rather large base unlocking doors by rotting the locks away as he went. He had no idea where he was going and hadn't run into anyone thus far, so he just kept exploring. Either he would randomly find his way out, or he would find someone to show him the way out. Probably against there will and with some bloodshed, but needs must and all that.
Eventually, he opened up a door that led into a large dark room. At the opposite end of the room was a huge bank of monitors and in front of those monitors was a large chair. A chair that Leech expected was currently occupied by someone. Possibly the someone who owned this place.
Fearlessly, he walked into the room and looked at the monitors with a bit of curiosity. Several of them showed different scenes of a city, probably Musutafu since that's where he'd been and some buildings looked familiar. You know, like the screen showing Yuuei's main gate, which looked damaged. On another monitor he saw the decapitated body of the guy he'd just killed laid out on a morgue slab. Dude looked even more disturbing under bright lights.
"Do you know what you've done?"
The voice, strong, masculine, deep, charismatic, came from the chair in front of the monitors. Leech thought it was a very impressive voice so he answered, "Aside from killing the guy trying to kill me? Not really."
"You have disrupted plans. Plans years in the making."
Leech tilted his head to the side and focused on the monitor showing the corpse, "Plans involving the guy I killed?"
"Yes. Plans he was uniquely suited to."
A careless shrug of his shoulders preceded Leech's reply, "He fucked around and found out. He picked a fight over something stupid. He didn't have the power to back up his arrogance and it cost him his life. Power that can't be used in the necessary moment isn't power at all."
"Hoh? What if I decide to kill you for what you've done?"
Leech sighed, "You're welcome to try. If you succeed, good on ya. It means you were stronger and I can respect that. If you fail, it just means I was stronger and get to live another day."
There was silence for a moment before the man in the chair asked, "What if I was to use one of my many minions to kill you?"
"That's power as well. Just hope their power is greater than mine or they too will die at my hands."
"What of political power then?"
Leech scoffed derisively, "The 'power' of cowards. Politician's are weaklings hiding behind the trappings of their station pretending that they have power. The falsehood of their power can be seen when they are alone. Cowards, the lot of them."
"I see. Still, it is power."
Leech sighed, "It is."
"But you prefer the power of the individual."
"Exactly! A politician's power is ephemeral and based on the whims of the people. Personal power is based solely on what an individual can accomplish."
"Interesting. What if I choose to simply let you go?"
"I would go. I have no quarrel with you if you have none with me."
The chair slowly turned around allowing Leech to get his first look at the man sitting in it. The man was clearly imposing and radiated a sheer aura of confidence and strength. He wore an immaculate black suit with some kind of strange mask covered in pipes that completely hid his head from view. The tubes leading from the chair into the mans body gave a rather large hint that something serious had happened to the man.
"What if I were to offer you power?"
Leech's eyes narrowed, "I'd look for the dagger hidden in the darkness. Nothing is ever free."
The man in the chair clapped his hands in approval, "Well said."
Leech didn't know how the man could see through the mask but he cold tell the man was studying him intently. The man finished clapping and spoke, "At first, I fully intended to kill you after ripping your Quirk from your body. But, that seems, perhaps, a bit hasty. Instead, I will make you an offer."
Leech studied the man and weighed his odds. He didn't like the implications the man hinted at about removing his Quirk. He also didn't wish to get into a fight, even if he felt that he could probably take the seemingly crippled man. It could be a ruse after all. For what purpose Leech didn't know, but unlike certain dead people, he didn't always assume he was the most powerful in the room.
"What's your proposal."
The man gestured to the monitor showing the corpse, "Tomura was putting together a plan of his own design. While I wasn't particularly impressed with the idea, I also saw no reason to put a stop to it. Children need to make mistakes in order to grow."
Leech held back a scoff at referring to the twenty-something he'd killed as a growing child. Obviously the man in the chair held as much respect for corpsies intelligence as Leech himself did. The man continued, "I want you to take over and execute his operation. Perform well and there will be no qualms between us. You may either go your own way after it's over, or you may return and tell me what you have learned. Perform well enough and I will offer you a reward of peerless quality."
Leech considered the offer for a few moments, the nodded, "I accept. What do I have to do?"

Leech sat at another bar, this one significantly nicer than the dive he'd been in previously. Behind the counter was a man whose features were hidden in black clouds. All he could make out were sulfurous yellow eyes. He wore a nice outfit and a thick metal collar around his neck, but had no visible features. He was Kurogiri, the guy that had teleported him into the prison cell after he'd killed Tomura. Kurogiri didn't seem to upset at the loss so Leech didn't mention it.
No, Leech was much more interested in studying his hand. He could still feel it, the power of that mans Quirk. As an incentive the put on a good show the man had allowed Leech to drain him for thirty seconds, giving him a single minute of use. According to the man, All For One, that would be enough time for him to permanently steal, and keep, a single Quirk.
Fucking All For One! Leech had heard the rumors. The all powerful ancient boss in the dark that peeked out from time to time to cause massive changes in society. He was the original villain, the one and only capable to ripping Quirks out of people and using them himself. A true blue monster. Leech was in awe.
But, it got better. One For All had promised him a copy of the Quirk All For One for himself if he proved he deserved it during his mission in a couple of days. The one Tomura tried to recruit him for. It was now his job to complete it and fulfill Tomura's vision...
He had to kill All Might.
Normally, he would have told All For One to go fuck himself, until he'd been told the truth. All Might was weakened. The fight that crippled AFO had also crippled All Might. The proof was all there, in the data he'd been provided. For the last near six years All Might had been seen in public less and less. Now he was rarely seen in public for more than a couple of hours, if that.
AFO believed, and Leech agreed, that this meant All Might was running out of time and slowly dying from his injuries. He was still strong, still a threat, but nowhere near as big a threat as All Might's reputation would have people believe. Not anymore.
Leech's mission was to invade Yuuei's Unforeseen Simulation Joint, or USJ, with a bunch of villains to take out All Might once and for all. AFO had believed Tomura would fail and was willing to allow that failure. Leech was not allowed to fail. Either All Might would die, or Leech would have to do everything in his power to flee from the reach of AFO. AFO had been clear that failure would mean Leech was unworthy and would be consigned to death.
Leech could respect that. At least he was being given a chance to survive. He intended to grab it with both hands and slaughter All Might.
The only absolute rule AFO had given him was that he had to attack during the USJ training event as Tomura had intended. How he succeeded in his goal was up to him. He had three days to plan and had to attack on the fourth day. Right, Leech knew he could pull it off.
After looking over the information he was presented with, Leech turned to Kurogiri, "Sensei said you would be available to me."
Kurogiri nodded, "I am to support you until you either succeed or fail."
Leech smirked. Oh yeah, he could work with this. He still hadn't decided exactly which Quirk he wanted to steal. Maybe he'd figure it out when he got a nice look at the students. Well, whatever, "Alright Kurogiri, here's what we're going to do..."

Leech stood on a platform looking out over a huge crowd of villains. Instead of milling around he had them separated into specific groups based on their Quirks and skills. In front of each group were several crates with small stacks of paper on top of them. Leech was grinning from ear to ear as his strange purple eyes looked over the crowd. He ran a hand through his black hair as he asked the two people next to him, "How's it looking?"
"It looks like it's going to be so much fun! I can't wait!"
Leech looked to his right at his girlfriend, a short blond with her hair in buns, golden cat-like eyes, a light blush on her face as she breathed a little heavily in excitement, and a somewhat wide mouth with vampiric canine teeth. She wore a school girl uniform with a baggy tan sweater, short pleated skirt, stockings, and flat shoes. You wouldn't be able to tell just from looking at her, but she was also carrying an obscene number of knives.
They'd met when she'd tried to slip one of those knives between his ribs. According to her she was just trying to say hello and see how pretty his blood was. She'd become more interested in him when he'd used his Quirk on her and copied her Quirk. When both of them ended up with knife wounds and drank each others blood... well it was interesting when they wore each others faces.
She practically bounced in place while pumping her fists up and down, "I'm so excited!"
Kurogiri observed silently before commenting, "It seems... adequate."
Leech smirked and stepped up to the microphone he'd had setup for this. He tapped it a few times to make sure it was on and began speaking, "Good morning everyone. I know it's early, or perhaps late for some of you." That got a few laughs, "But today is an important day. Today we villains will show the world why they shouldn't discount us. The plan is simple. We're going to Yuuei, specifically their USJ facility. It's broken up into several different environments and you've been split into groups that will work best in those zones."
He could see he had their rapt attention. He'd planned meticulously for this and wanted to make sure nothing went wrong, "In front of each of your groups is a crate with instructions on top. Follow the instructions with care. Do NOT go off script! If you do, I will find out and I will END you. Painfully. If you do follow the instructions and we pull this off properly, we will become the greatest group of villains in the world."
The excitement in the air was palpable, "We, the League of Villains, shall strike the greatest blow against this corrupt heroic society since the days before the rise of All Might! Pay attention to your instructions and this will be the greatest villain victory in decades!"
There was a deafening cheer from the over two hundred villains gathered in the warehouse. Once the cheering died down, Kurogiri started using his portals to deposit the various groups in their designated areas. It was only four in the morning and the students weren't expected until the early afternoon. That was perfect for Leech's plan, his minions would need all that time to set up.
He smiled as his girlfriend practically vibrated in place next to him. He could almost literally feel the waves of excitement coming off of her, "Just remember Himi-hime, you can cut them all you like, even maim and disfigure them, but no killing the students. We don't want them using the death of a student to try and downplay All Might's death. We don't want any sob stories taking the light off of his death, otherwise the country might not be as emotionally devastated as we want it to be."
Toga Himiko pouted a little at having to hold back, but was quickly excited again, her cheeks flushing as she imagined the blood she would make flow, "I know Leechy. I just hope there's some real cuties I can make friends with!"
Leech laughed lightly, "I'm sure there will be Himi-hime." He turned to look at Kurogiri as the last group vanishes into a portal, "The Nomu is ready for us to retrieve at the appropriate time?"
Kurogiri bowed his head slightly, "All is as you requested."
"Excellent. Let the show begin!"
-Line Break-
Leech never realised how boring being dramatic could be. Everything he'd planned for their attack on USJ was in place. The villains, his surprises, and the Nomu were all ready and in place. He was just waiting for the students and teachers to arrive. Thankfully he had hundreds of people on sight so using one or two to observe the entrance was easy enough.
Their security expert, Blackout, was on site using his Quirk to prevent any signals from leaving the USJ building. Though he admitted to being disappointed with the low level of the security on the building, just a few dozen wireless transmitters for their alarms. Once he used his Quirk, Jamming, to prevent their signals from leaving they were less than useless.
Finally, things were getting started when the hero Thirteen entered the building in her spacesuit themed costume that hid all of her features. Not that Leech cared much. As interesting and powerful as her Quirk was, it also seemed like it would be a complete pain in the ass to attempt to control. No, he had some thoughts on what he wanted to do with his one shot of All For One. Something to torment All Might before he died.
A little while after Thirteen arrived, students began to file into the building. He counted the expected twenty, and then a single teacher. He frowned a bit at that. All For One's information claimed that All Might was supposed to be one of the teachers for this class. If he wasn't here... should he abort? Wait, first things first.
While the teachers were explaining the class to the students, Leech pulled out his phone and quickly browsed the local news. Sure enough there were several articles describing All Might solving situations earlier that morning. Putting it all together, he figured All Might had spent at least two and a half to three hours doing heroic work. The limit Leech currently expected he had.
How had Leech come to that conclusion? It was pretty easy once you spent a couple of days compiling the data. All Might was a hugely popular and influential figure. His presence anywhere was always well noted by members of the public. There were even several websites dedicated to just tracking where he was, when, and why. Once coming through the data it was easy to see that All Might's time as a hero had been decreasing over time.
It was even easier when AFO provided the date of their last clash. All Might had vanished from the public for months to recover from the wound AFO dealt him. After that he'd never been quite the same. Tracking his slowly decreasing ability from there was easy enough. From his research, Leech had concluded that All Might's strength had plateaued at three hours of operating time. There had been a single instance about a year ago where All Might had gone past that limit, but he'd seen a couple of pictures of All Might wiping blood from his lips. Clearly going over his limit had consequences.
Suffice to say that is All Might was near, or at, his limit, he would be resting somewhere to recover. So, this was no longer the ambush he'd been planning. That was alright, he was flexible and his plan would still work. It'd just take a bit longer is all. With a confident smirk he spoke, "Kurogiri, introduce us."
Kurogiri's black clouds swirled around to open up a large portal. The last group of villains waiting with Leech started to march through it. He could hear exclamations of shock coming from the other side but they were greatly muffled. Once the grunts were through, Leech and Himiko walked through the portal hand in hand with the Nomu following behind them. Kurogiri was the last to arrive, closing the portal behind them.
Leech had to admit, Kurogiri was supremely useful. He wouldn't mind working with the man on any kind of job. Portals were just too damned convenient.
Stepping through he got his first in person look at the USJ facility, teachers, and students. It was all very impressive, but he couldn't let it distract him from what needed to be done. He tilted his head toward Kurogiri, "Scatter the students as planned. Use plan D."
This was the only part he couldn't really plan meticulously. While the getting a list of students was pretty easy, it was a public school so the information was public. Getting the exact class registry was much harder and something that AFO's spy hadn't managed to do. Still. He'd memorized the names, faces, and Quirks of all forty first year students. It was one hell of a shopping list and he would be hard pressed to pick which one he wanted to steal for himself. Well, provided he chose to do that today.
Kurogiri silently created a portal and moved himself between the students and the exit to block them in. Leech smirked at that and focused on the second teacher that had started beating the crap out of the mutant types he'd assigned to the plaza to deal with Eraserhead's Erasure Quirk. The guy was a normal, if fit, dude with some clear combat skill. Problem was...
"Nomu, kill Eraserhead."
The massive monster was honestly impressive as hell in Leech's opinion. It was a tower of rippling muscles with a healing factor out of this world and some serious strength. Too bad it was so freaky looking with its beak-like mouth and half of its brain exposed. Still, if the screams of the students and the fact that Eraserhead had just been literally torn in half showed anything, it was that AFO could make some true monsters.
Leech glanced around the USJ building hearing the sounds of combat starting to come from some of the places that Kurogiri had distributed the students. He focused on the students still up by the stairs, left there deliberately to enact plan D. Since All Might wasn't present, a student would need to 'escape' to get some help. He spotted said student within the remaining ones. Ida Tenya, younger brother of Ingenium and a speedster. If the students left had any kind of brainpower they'd send him off to get help first chance they got.
Kurogiri performed his task well. Thirteen's attempt to use her Blackhole Quirk on him led to her defeat. The students, enraged, attacked Kurogiri and 'disabled' him allowing Ida to 'escape'. Once Ida was out, Kurogiri returned to Leech's side. Leech glanced at the cloud man and smiled, "Well done."
He turned to talk to Himiko and found her gone from his side. He sighed and shook his head, she was such a sneaky little thing. He hoped she was having some fun. He was briefly distracted by an explosion coming from the artificial lake and frowned. Well, it didn't matter if a couple of student groups escaped the traps he'd set. Just as long as there were a few still in place when...
The doors shattered off of their hinges, blasted to pieces by the dynamic entry of the man of the hour. Leech's lips curled into a cruel smile, "All Might."
All Might was one impressive, and intimidating, man up close like this. He was as strong looking as ever as he stared defiantly at the villains in the plaza. Leech couldn't help noticing that All Might was wearing dress slacks and a button up shirt with a tie, which he proceeded to rip off while saying, "It's alright now. Why? Because I am here!"
Leech couldn't help it, he laughed. His whole body curled as he laughed like a hyena. He'd never heard something so corny in person in his life. He didn't often show much emotion these days, but he had to admit it to AFO, this was the best!
Unsurprising, Leech found himself to be the sole recipient of All Might's glower, "You find this funny, villain?"
Leech caught his breath and nodded, "I do." As he straightened he pulled a small cylinder with a red button on top of it out of his pocket. As he did, so did every villain standing in the plaza that Eraserhead hadn't defeated before he'd been brutally murdered, "You see, it's time to play a game."
All Might was a towering inferno of rage that only grew more potent when he saw the brutalized corpse of Eraserhead near the plaza stairs. His voice was practically pure venom as he hissed, "You think this is some kind of game?!"
Leech let out a sigh as his normal apathy settled back in. He nodded at All Might's question, "I do." He lifted the cylinder in his left hand up and pressed the red button down with his thumb. The villains around them did the same, "These are ALL deadman switches. Every. Single. One. If even one of us lets off their button, the improvised claymore's surrounding your students will detonate. I don't believe I need to explain what the results of such a detonation would be. Do I?"
Judging by how tightly All Might was gritting his teeth, he didn't believe he did, "So, here are the rules of the game. You, All Might, are going to fight Nomu here", He gestured to the bird beaked creature, "To the death. Either you kill Nomu or Nomu kills you. There are no other conditions for victory or defeat. If you just blast Nomu out of the building, you lose. If you just knock him unconscious and do not kill him, you lose. One of you MUST die or the students will do the dying."
If All Might was furious before, he was incandescent now. Leech didn't care and continued, "If anyone of a heroic persuasion interferes in any way or by any means, such as attempting to attack us, just remember that all that has to happen is ONE of us letting go of our switch and BOOM! I suggest you take a moment to warn your students and allies of these rules. I would honestly hate for our game to end because of one dumbass hothead thinking the rules don't apply to them."
Leech felt a thrill down his spine as he could literally hear All Might grinding his teeth. This whole scenario was designed just for the man. All Might was super strong, fast, durable, and all kinds of things. What he wasn't, was capable of stopping every single one of the thirty plus people holding deadman switches all at once. Of course, Leech didn't mention that not only did his super sneaky transforming girlfriend have one, but so did someone watching things off sight. So, even if, by some miracle, they managed to stop him and his nearby allies, it would mean nothing.
There were only three possible outcomes at this point. Nomu dies. Students die. Or All Might dies. Leech had no idea what the outcome would be and he was excited to see what would happen. He bore with All Might's blue eyes shining threateningly at him as the man joined the students by a defeated Thirteen. He couldn't hear whatever instructions All Might whispered, but the students carefully gathered up Thirteen and made their way out of the building.
Once they, at least, were safe, All Might walked down the steps, his every foot fall like thunder in Leech's ears. Part of him was definitely terrified. He'd never even heard of All Might ever being really angry, so seeing the absolute seething rage on his face at the moment was terrifying. It was also the greatest thrill he'd ever experienced in his entire life. His heart was hammering so hard he though it would explode from his chest while so much adrenaline flooded his system that he was vibrating in place.
"I have you word that when this is done you will release the students and turn yourselves in?"
Leech scoffed, "I'll give you my word on the safety of the children, but if you want us captured you'll have to kill Nomu and arrest us yourself."
He didn't think it was possible, but All Might's glare actually intensified, "Despicable."
Leech just shrugged his shoulders and, as casually as he could, called out, "Nomu, kill All Might."
The Nomu let out a loud screech as it blitzed over to throw a punch at All Might. While Leech could only see a vague blur as the Nomu moved, All Might could clearly see it as he blocked the punch by throwing one of his own. The two fists clashed letting off a blast of pressurized wind that swept over the area.
"Holy shit."
Leech's shocked exclamation was echoed by several of the other nearby villains. Leech was not used to seeing the level of power that was being displayed by the constant heavy clashes of All Might and the Nomu. The pair of them were so far out of his league that either of them could probably kill him on accident with a sneeze!
Okay, it wasn't that likely, but seeing the two behemoths clashing repeatedly as fist met fist was shocking in its power. The battle started with just the pair exchanging blow for blow. At first glance it might appear that they were evenly matched, but as the battle grew in intensity it became clear that All Might had an edge over the Nomu.
It wasn't really unexpected, to be honest. The Nomu was super powered for sure, but it was also pretty mindless and just fought like a basic brute. Throwing punches with the expectation that if it threw enough it would win. It didn't hurt that the Nomu was technically correct. While Leech had no intention of explaining the Quirks AFO had installed in the creature, they really were going to screw All Might over in the end.
The pair of giants clashed once again though this time they generated enough force to shove each other back. All Might looked concerned and he flexed his hands into fists and looked at his knuckles. Leech had a suspicion that All Might was noticing the difference between them. However, he wasn't stupid enough to explain the situation to the hero. Not until the situation was such that All Might was one hundred percent guaranteed to die. Otherwise, he might give All Might the information he needed to win, and wouldn't that just be a complete travesty?
With the pause in the action, he spotted a trio of students not too far away. They were in the water of the water hazard and watching the battle. It only took a glance for Leech to realize that they were working themselves up to do something stupid. Or at least, the ones with green hair were. The boy with purple balls for hair looked terrified. At least he seemed to be wearing a diaper so he could wet himself without anyone noticing.
Leech whispered, "Kurogiri, grab those three kids and bring them here."
It didn't escape his notice that he was calling people only two years younger than him 'kids' but as far as he was concerned, that's all they were. They didn't know anything about the real world, but today would definitely open their eyes to reality. He wouldn't be surprised if several students dropped out after seeing the brutalized body of Eraserhead.
The black portal opened dumping the three teens in front of Leech, though with enough distance that Leech could respond if they got violent. All three let out exclamations of surprise, but the midget with the purple balls and diaper let out a squeak and actually passed out.
All Might's shout of "No!" was the last thing he got to say before he was defending himself from Nomu once again. Leech noticed that All Might's attention wasn't nearly as focused on the Nomu as it had been before. Was he scared Leech would do something? Leech wasn't sure, but he was a man of his word. If All Might did win, he'd just leave with his people.
Still, he was curious about the kids and examined them. First however, "Kurogiri, dump the fainted loser outside. Honestly, if he's that pathetic he has no hope of ever amounting to anything."
A portal opened and the midget vanished. Leech assumed he was deposited outside but didn't care nearly enough to even try to make sure. He studied the remaining two students who were on their feet in combat stances while looking at him defiantly.
He took a moment to examine the pair. The girl had frog-like features which one might assume made her hideous to look at. One would be wrong. She was actually kind of cute. Long seaweed green hair, wide expressive eyes, an overly wide mouth, and a definitely feminine body with thick legs. He was willing to bet she had some dynamite thighs hidden underneath that scuba-like costume of hers.
The boy, on the other hand, would have his picture next to the definition for 'plain'. He wasn't ugly by any means and he could probably be considered cute with the sprinkling of freckles across his nose and cheeks. Combined with his green hair and eyes, Leech could see what a girl might like about him. The plain green outfit didn't really sell him as anything though.
It only took Leech a bit of thinking to recognize them. Asui Tsuyu, Quirk Frog and Midoriya Izuku, Quirk Unnamed Strength Enhancement. What really drew his attention was that, according to the files AFO had given him, Midoriya was believed Quirkless until just before he registered for Yuuei. The supplied theory was that his body had to grow up and get stronger before he could use his Quirk. Recent visits to Recovery Girl for broken bones would suggest this to be the truth.
Except, Leech could see it in Midoriya's eyes. He'd seen the same look in many people on the street. The look of someone who'd been beaten down by the world. The look of someone who knew the truth about the world. It was interesting to see in someone trying to be a hero as he'd only ever seen eyes like that on villains, and in the mirror.
Leech waited until he caught All Might looking in his direction to take a step toward Asui. All Might grit his teeth and looked murderous but focused back on the fight. Leech backed off, for the moment. He only waited until he caught All Might looking once more and stepped toward Midoriya. All Might's voice boomed over the area, "Leave them alone!"
Oh-ho! Now that was a bigger reaction. He studied the two kids. They'd not said a word since they'd been brought over. They'd kept their focus on him, and him alone, waiting to fight if he did something to them. Leech didn't want to disappoint them, "Kurogiri, send the girl outside."
The next moment Asui was consumed by a portal and removed from the area. Leech's full focus fell on Midoriya. He had a sneaking suspicion about the kid. All Might seemed more focused on the boy. There was also the similarity in their Quirks, both massive boosts to physical strength. Was Midoriya All Might's bastard son? Ohhhhh how delicious would that be?
Leech considered his options. Midoriya's Quirk seemed like it would be a pain in the ass to own if it just kept breaking bones every time it was used. On the other hand, ripping it out of him would likely distract All Might like nothing else could. He checked the fight between the titans again. All Might definitely appeared to be winning. For every two blows Nomu threw, All Might threw three with the third always nailing the Nomu's body somewhere. If the Nomu weren't designed the way it was, it would have lost by now.
Still, the battle had only been going for a couple of minutes and Leech was getting bored. Time to spice things up! If he didn't like Midoriya's Quirk he could have have AFO take it from him. Maybe trade it for something better? Now that was an idea! He could probably trade for something pretty awesome if he gave AFO the Quirk from All Might's illegitimate son.
Leech studies the clearly nervous looking kid and decides how he wants to take him down. He waits for his moment to strike and it comes pretty quickly. All Might has clearly grown tired of fighting the implacable Nomu and moved to attempt to end the fight. All Might uppercuts the Nomu with an unimaginable amount of force snapping the Nomu's head up until it can only stare at the ceiling. With the Nomu distracted, All Might slips around behind it and wraps his arms around its waist, locking them in place by grabbing his own wrist tightly. With a mighty roar, that causes Midoriya to glance in his direction, he lifts the Nomu off of it's feet and suplexes it into the ground head first.
The might crash of the Nomu slamming into the concrete draws Midoriya's full attention for just a moment, but it's just the moment Leech had been waiting for. While both All Might and Midoriya are distracted by the, admittedly, awesome suplex, Leech dashes forward and covers the short three meter distance between himself and Midoriya.
As he closed in and Midoriya's head snapped back to look at Leech, Leech was already in the process of throwing a Quirk enhanced punch to Midoriya's solar plexus. The Quirk Leech chose to tap into was a weak, seriously weak, strength enhancing Quirk that couldn't even make the sidekick who had it super-humanly strong. For Leech though? It added a fair bit of power to his punch as it slammed into Midoriya's torso above his navel.
Midoriya's eyes widened as the blow drove the air from his lungs and temporarily paralyzed them, preventing him from inhaling for a few brief moments. While Midoriya failed to breath and clearly began to panic, Leech slapped his right hand onto Midoriya's forehead while sweeping Midoriya's legs to throw him to the ground. Leech quickly mounted Midoriya using his legs to pin the boys arms to the ground.
With his right hand still on Midoriya's forehead, his left fist, still holding the deaman's switch, presses hard against Midoriya's throat. He simultaneously activates his own Quirk as well as his limited use of All For One. From his left hand purple energy flows from his palm to his elbow as he forces it to go full strength to drain as much of Midoriya's willpower as possible, reinforcing his own with the stolen power simultaneously. At the same time his right hand begins to emit blood red bolts of lightning as All For One attempts to rip Midoriya's Quirk from his body.
All For One had warned Leech that someone with a strong enough willpower could make it harder, even impossible, for their Quirk to be stolen. Leech didn't have much of the power so he couldn't mess around. His own Quirk was perfect for weakening someone's mind, their willpower, while simultaneously trying to steal their Quirk.
Midoriya's who body seized up, his spine arching, and his fists clenching as he let out a horrific scream of pure agony.
"STOP WHAT YOU'RE...!"
All Might's demand was cut off as Nomu, previously buried head first in the ground, flipped to its feet and sucker punched him in the jaw. Even with his strength, All Might wasn't completely immune to physics. The blow sent him flying to slam into the steps not too far from where Eraserhead's corpse was still cooling.
Leech paid no attention the All Might, the Nomu would distract the giant man long enough. Though Leech was very annoyed to find that trying to rip Midoriya's Quirk out was far more difficult than he expected. It had already been thirty seconds, half of his time, and he'd barely felt it budge. It was honestly a weird feeling trying to rob Midorya of his quirk. It was like... Like trying to pull a tree stump out of the ground, roots and all. He had the proper tools to do the job, it's just that the root was being particularly stubborn about coming out.
"LEAVE HIM THE FUCK ALONE!"
The new voice shouting was accompanied by the sound of explosions coming from behind Leech. He turned his head a bit and spotted an enraged looking blonde flying through the air toward him. The blonde had his hands pointed behind himself and was using explosions to propel himself towards Leech.
Leech glanced at the flying idiot and promptly ignored him. If he was in any real danger, Kurogiri and Nomu both had orders to keep him alive. AFO made it clear that Leech was only allowed to die by his own hands. Not something Leech would look forward to.
"DON'T YOU FUCKING...GAH!"
Curious about the painful sounding shout, Leech turned his head again to see the boy that had been charging him falling to the ground with a throwing knife sticking out of his stomach. He turned to where he could hear some pleasant giggles and spotted his girlfriend coming out from behind the fountain. He had no idea how long she'd been there but, judging by the blood on her sweater, she'd had a lot of fun so far.
Leech couldn't help remembering the argument they'd had about her using throwing knives. She loved knives, but she much preferred using them up close and personal like. She wanted to see her victims skin part and their blood begin to flow. She couldn't do that with throwing knives. It was only when it made it clear it was more to help against opponents she couldn't get close to for her own protection. He just really didn't want to see her getting hurt.
He would never, ever, tell her about his heart skipping a beat knowing that she'd used a knife she didn't like to protect him. She must never know!
Even with the distractions, he kept his focus on trying to remove Midoriya's Quirk, he was running out of time. Midoriya's screams were quieting down as he was drained of any and all Willpower. His struggles slowed and Leech could feel the Quirk becoming a bit more 'loose' allowing him to start 'wiggling' it like a child's loose tooth.
He was so completely focused on his task of trying to rip the Quirk from Midoriya that he completely missed the massive escalation in the fight between All Might and the Nomu. They were both going all out, throwing a dozen punches every second as All Might did his best to overwhelm the Nomu. He didn't witness All Might overwhelming the Nomu's Shock Absorbtion through sheer determination.
At the exact same moment that there was a final shout of effort from All Might as he blasted the Nomu to the other side of USJ, it happened. The blast of wind from All Might nailing the Nomu coincided with Midoriya's scream of agony changing into silence. Just seconds before Leech ran out of energy for All For One, Midoriya's Quirk snapped loose and was extracted. Leech felt it settle into himself, with just a handful of seconds left on All For One.
Leech turned to look at All Might and felt a surge of fear at the sight of the man. Blood was practically gushing from between the hero's lips while he glared at Leech with righteous fury. Leech had no time to act, or even comprehend, how All Might went from standing across the plaza to directly in front of him.
The only thing that saved Leech from getting an absolute pounding from All Might was Kurogiri's fast reaction. A small portal had opened up and swallowed All Might's entire arm and redirected it to smash into All Might's own face. Leech, wisely, didn't just sit there gaping but jumped back and stood near Kurogiri. All Might didn't retreat, instead he ignored how he'd broken his own nose and knelt next to the silent, but still breathing, Midoriya.
Midoriya wasn't in great condition, but he was in no danger of dying. At least, he shouldn't be. All For One had said his Quirk just put people into coma's temporarily after taking their Quirks. Leech knew he was a piece of shit, but he wasn't a child killer. All Might finished observing the comatose Midoriya and turned his glare back to Leech, "What had you done?"
Leech, hear still hammering, adrenaline still pumping, and not a little terrified of the hero, still managed to answer in a falsely chipper tone of voice, almost managing to pull off flippant, "Oh, you know, stole your son's Quirk is all."
There was an awkward silence until one of the, mostly forgotten, normal villains holding a deadman switched quietly asked the villain next to him, "All Might has a kid?"
If Leech wasn't seeing things, it looked like All Might was paling a little, "Impossible. His Quirk can't be stolen! Or copied! It's... it's impossible!"
Leech's response was a massive cocky grin that hid his pants wetting terror at the death glare he was now getting from All Might. It took all of his focus to not try and order Kurogiri to get him out of there. He was in so far over his head that he had no idea what to do but keep running his mouth until the Nomu came back. Right, that was a plan he could use yeah? Baffle All Might with bullshit until backup arrived?
"Oh, but I did. It wasn't as easy as I was led to believe taking a Quirk was, and if not for my own original Quirk I think I would have failed. But, here we are. I now have his Quirk!"
All Might climbed to his feet, seething rage rolling off of him in near palpable waves, "That Quirk, has been protected for generations. I WILL NOT LET A VILLAIN HAVE IT!"
Wait, what? Leech had no idea what All Might was talking about. Between his words, tone, and anger so intense it was causing steam to come off of the number one hero, it did lead Leech to believe he may have made a horrible mistake. He didn't have much time to think of it before a black portal opened and Nomu's fist proceeded to slam into All Might's jaw with world shaking force.
If Leech thought All Might was mad before, he looked like he was about to begin frothing at the mouth as he climbed to his feet. He was panting heavily, his huge chest expanding and contracting visibly as he gulped in huge mouthfuls of air. Steam seemed to be pouring off of him at this point making Leech wonder if the guy was about to die of heatstroke or something.
Leech was pulled away from spectating the match between All Might and the Nomu by the shouts of surprise coming from the villains nearby. His head snapped to the side and he actually gaped in shock at the sight of all of the villains being encased in ice from the neck down. How the hell? … Oh. His eyes stared at the impassive face of Endevour's spawn. The headcase that had control over two powerful elements but only used one because... reasons?
Leech sighed at the sight. He should have known an idiot like Endevour would have idiot children. The bombs he'd placed around the landing sights for the students had not been fake. Endevour's son was proof enough considering how badly he was bleeding from multiple puncture wounds. He'd clearly been able to mitigate the majority of the explosives, but not all of them. The kid looked like he was barely staying conscious as he stood there covered in frost and panting heavily.
Leech sighed and ran his hands down his clothing to 'straighten' them out, "Right. Time to end the game." He reached into an inner jacket pocket as he continued, "Kurogiri, plan Z."
While he swiftly removed his hand from inside of his jacket, he called out, "Nomu, return."
The bird-beaked monster let out a screech directed toward All Might before obeying. One instant it was across the plaza, the next it was next to Leech. At that same instant, Leech's hand whipped out of his jacket and pointed the large caliber revolver directly at the son of Endevour. He could see that the boy recognized the threat and danger he was in and was reacting. He was clearly well trained but it wouldn't be enough. No matter how fast his reaction time, no matter how quick his reflexes, it would still take precious seconds to react and even more precious seconds for his ice to build up a wall strong enough to stop the fifty caliber round.
He did not have the time.
The deafening retort of the massive gun going off echoed through the entire building. The massive bullet passed through the air near instantly to slam into Todoroki. It was only by the conscious choice of Leech to not kill him that the bullet slammed into the boy's left shoulder. The massive slug, moving at nearly double the speed of sound, imparted enough kinetic energy that it sent Todoroki spinning out of control while his left arm flew through the air the land several feet away.
Leech looked from the boy curled up on the ground trying to stem the flow of blood from the gaping wound at his shoulder to All Might. The Number One Hero hadn't moved an inch to try and save Todoroki from the crippling injury. Even as the boy screamed in agony with his flame Quirk partially going out of control as he lost all focus, the hero still didn't move.
All Might stood where he was gasping for air as steam swirled around him and blood flowed from the sides of his mouth. Leech could see it. All his research, everything AFO had told him, and now All Might doing nothing as his precious student was nearly murdered.
HE WAS WEAK!
Leech, for a brief moment, considered having Kurogiri open a portal between himself and the hero so he could use the Disintigration Quirk of the guy he'd killed. AFO had sent him here to kill All Might, after all. But, looking at the hero, he couldn't.
Oh, don't be mistaken. He was physically capable of killing All Might and had no moral hangups about it. No, it wasn't something like mercy, nostalgia, or a hidden desire to be a hero that stayed his hands.
No, letting All Might live with his failure would be far more torturous.
Leech's musing was interrupted as the doors to USJ slammed open, the rest of the heroic staff arriving, in style even.
They were too late. Kurogiri opened up a massive portal encompassing the last remaining villains within the plaza as well as himself, Himi-hime next to him, the Nomu, and of course Kurogiri himself. Leech considered leaving some parting words, but chose not too and maintained his silence as they left.
Plan Z was pretty simple, full scale evacuation. Kurogiri had cleared the people from every section, even if they were unconscious, and transported them back to the staging area. As they were the center of attention, Kurogiri had been left to work in peace.
When the darkness of Kurogiri's clouds faded, Leech found himself back inside of the nice bar that no one ever seemed to come to. Sitting on one end of the counter was a television showing static. Within moments of their arrival the powerful voice of All For One came from the speakers, "Did you succeed?"
Leech felt nervous. His mission was to kill All Might, his own life was on the line. If All For One didn't approve of how he handled the situation, his life was forfeit. Yet, he knew, deep down, that he'd done the right thing. Death was an ending, it was peace and being free from responsibility. It was too good for All Might.
So, Leech faithfully described what had happened from his point of view from the beginning. He hid nothing, not even his thoughts. He did his best not to let himself get distracted by the heavy panting he could hear coming from Himiko next to him. He could just imagine her blushing and rubbing her thighs together. He'd be getting very lucky tonight... Provided he lived that long.
When he finished, there was a considerable silence until it was broken by a contemplative sounding AFO asking Kurogiri, "Do you corroborate everything Leech has said, Kurogiri?"
"Yes, his recounting of events is accurate."
"Send him to me."
Black clouds enveloped Leech's vision as he was instantly transported from the bar to standing in front of the fully masked for of All For One. The man that put the super in Supervillain. Leech stood proud before the man despite the terror he felt. He had no illusions about the gun pack in his jacket pocket being of any use, let alone anything else he could possibly do. Hell, he still didn't know what the Quirk he stole from Midoriya did.
Leech could feel AFO studying him through the blank black mask covering his whole head, "You failed to kill All Might, even going so far as to leave him alive when he was at your mercy. I told you that if he lived you would die. I am a man of my word."
Leech's heart rate skyrocketed at those words. He knew he'd gambled and lost. He felt the fear everyone who understands death feels when it is so close. Strangely though, he still felt like he'd done the right thing and still did not regret it, even as it was about to cost him his life. Rather, he regretted that he wouldn't be spending the night exploring within Himiko's tight, silky, wet folds as they fucked. Himiko did not do 'making love' and he always came out of their debauched sessions with a few new scars.
He wouldn't have it any other way.
His eyes focused on where he expected All For One's to be and didn't waver. AFO seemed to being weighing him, or perhaps deciding which of his myriad Quirks would result in the most painful death for Leech, when the man spoke again, "I am, however, willing to give you an extension. The boy you stole the Quirk of, he is not All Might's child. All Might has no children. Rather, I think he is All Might's heir, the one he passed One For All to."
Leech let out a massive sigh of relief, even as he felt joy and relief at his stay of execution, he didn't let his mind wander and focused closely on what AFO was saying, "The Quirk you stole is known as One For All, a playful counter to my own All For One. It has been a thorn in my side passed down through the generations to heroes arraigned against me. It has grown stronger with every generation until it was passed to All Might. By then it gained enough power to contend with me and led to mutually destructive blows landing on our bodies."
AFO proceeded to explain how One For All came into being and how he'd killed almost every user to have it since its inception. He also explained how he'd always failed to steal it himself either because it had already been passed on or because of other interference. He seemed... proud that Leech had finally managed to steal it and turn it to the proper side where it belonged. AFO also explained what he expected would happen once it was fully integrated within Leech. He was not looking forward to it.
"So, if I'm not careful, the power of One For All will shatter my body every time I attempt to use it?"
"Yes. It is exceptionally powerful and though you are in decent shape, your base physique has nothing on All Might's, even before he obtained One For All."
Leech thought for a bit. He was just reaping the consequences of his actions, but he still couldn't bring himself to regret them. Rather, he thought of an idea, "Sensei, I realize I failed to kill All Might as you requested, this time, however I feel I need to ask for something from you to simply survive until I can meet him once more."
"You may ask, but I promise nothing."
That wasn't entirely unexpected, but Leech didn't see an alternative that would allow him to make use of his new, permanent, Quirk without it breaking him into chunky salsa, "I'd like to request transferring the Nomu's regenerative Quirk to myself. I'd normally just try to use my own to gain a charge of it to help, but I fear that wont be enough for my survival."
He stood still as All For One continued to examine him through the opaque mask he wore. Leech didn't know if AFO could actually see him or not, he assumed so given the way AFO could track his movements and always seemed to know where he was. Finally, the silence is broken by AFO's deep voice, "It will be done. However! This is the final boon I will give you. Kurogiri will remain by your side to support your transportation needs. It will be up to you to recruit any additional members to the League of Villains. I will provide only the bar as a safe house and access to Kurogiri. It will be up to you to procure funding, supplies, and man power. Understood?"
Leech, not one to be overly prideful especially in front of someone who could kill him with a snap of their fingers, gives a perfect ninety degree bow, "I understand, Sensei. I will not let you down again."
-Line Break-
Leech sat at the bar while Kurogiri shone a glass with a pristine cloth. The bar was nice and high class on the interior all warm woods, soft lights, and high quality alcohol. He'd gathered some funding in the near month it had been since the attack on USJ and spent a small amount on a new outfit for himself. Before he'd worn normal clothing while doing his thing.
Now?
Now he was technically the leader of a villainous organization and he needed to look the part. He'd through about going all out and getting something made that screamed 'villain' to the public. Given that he was wearing a nice suit, he'd clearly changed his mind. In every meeting he'd had with AFO the man had been wearing a bespoke suit. It looked classy and didn't detract from the menace and fear that AFO could instill.
Naturally, Leech chose to emulate the man. His own suit wasn't bespoke, sadly, but it did fit well and given his new physique, it looked rather dashing on him. Leech suspected that AFO actually agreed with his decision at USJ, or was just extremely happy to have One For All in possession of a villain under his control. Either way, the man had not only granted him the regeneration of the Nomu used to attack USJ, but every other Quirk the beast had.
This led to a rather dramatic change in Leech's phyqisue making him taller, broader, and significantly stronger. Thankfully it hadn't blackened his skin, given him a bird beak, or exposed his brain to the world. It had, however, given him a much darker skin tone, like the tan on someone who spent a significant amount of time out in the sun.
He also felt... full, for lack of a better term. According to AFO, he was a little over the limit for how many Quirks his body could handle, thus the skin pigmentation change, but that OFA was mitigating the chances of rejection or mutation and was, in fact, incorporating the Quirks within itself and taking their power as it's own.
One of the unsaid conditions for his continued living had been allowing AFO to observe OFA as Leech incorporated it into himself. It seemed Leech was wiser than he knew to ask for the regeneration Quirk. Without it his life would be drastically shortened by OFA as it slowly killed him with its power. The regeneration would repair the damage constantly and keep him alive. A clearly good call on Leech's part.
Aside from that, he was now unbelievably strong, could regenerate from almost anything, had shock absorbing skin negating a ton of possible damage, a nearly infinite supply of stamina, and more. It was crazy. Add in his original Quirk, the Quirk energy that he'd stolen from low tier heroes, add the energy he would steal in the future, and he was suddenly a massive threat.
He loved it. So did Himi-hime. What else could be expected from a girl who got off on slicing people and watching them bleed? Now she could slice him all day long and it had little to no effect on him. Oh, it hurt, for the few seconds it took for his regeneration to heal him. She didn't like that, but she accepted it since it just meant she got to cut him again! It did mean he had to go around topless when she was around though, or she'd just cut his clothing to ribbons. Slightly inconvenient, but it put her in the mood like nothing else so he had no complaints.
His attention was drawn to a second TV that had been set up within the bar, the original one only showing static but with a direct connection to Sensei. Leech still didn't know why the man insisted he call him that, but he wasn't about to argue with the super powered god-like villain about what he wanted to be called. The second TV was setup so they could watch the Yuuei Sports Festival, specifically the first year events.
Why?
Leech had no idea. The kids weren't a threat to him, at all, anymore. It seemed to be a whole 'know thy enemy' thing for Sensei, but they had public and private files on every student in the school. He knew all of their Quirks. Maybe Sensei thought it would be different seeing them in person? Meh, Leech didn't care, but he would watch because it was expected of him.
Given everything that Sensei had done for him over the near month since their attack on USJ, he would never verbalize a complaint against the man. Thanks to advice from Sensei and using Kurogiri to go to private areas outside of Japan, Leech had been able to practice with his new Quirks. Needless to say, he was a physical monster. Once he figured out how to tap into the power of One For All his strength had become ungodly. The Nomu strength was already impressive and the power from OFA just amplified it to a really stupid degree. Sensei was one hundred percent certain that he was stronger that All Might had been in his prime when he used OFA to its maximum.
The Quirk was so powerful that using it at maximum strength turned his bones into powder when he punched things. Granted his punches turned whatever he hit into powder as well, but it was still a painful experience. Thank god for his regeneration. With it he could abuse his body to his hearts content, constantly breaking his bones and tearing his muscles, only to come back even stronger than before. Regeneration didn't just rewind his injuries, it healed them in seconds and gave any natural benefits that healing would entail. Things like tears in his muscles being repaired to make them stronger or his bones becoming a bit stronger with each break.
After weeks of shattering himself to pieces, he could now handle he full power of OFA at maximum with only small fractures. It was a huge improvement.
The tournament is boring. The first two events give a clear and distinct advantage to any Quirks that improve combat efficiency and mobility. Their use of those giant ass robots after the tunnel knocked out a huge portion of the crowd. It was almost embarrassing how long it took for them to even get enough people across the finish line to move onto the second event. It literally took over an hour. Those giant robots did not fuck around and eliminated at least ninety percent of the students.
The last two obstacles were just time consuming. Anyone could get across the ropes between stone pillars given time. As for the minefield? The mines were non-lethal and getting blown up just meant having to get back up and continue.
The only interesting thing was seeing that the one to come in first place was the blondie that Himi-hime had taken her knife to. Gotta admit, he was rocking the new visible scars on his arms and face. The sneer he showed everyone as he took first place in the race had detracted from his cool points though.
Endevour's kid had quietly been withdrawn from the school, though Endevour himself was still making a ton of noise about Leech disarming his kid and ruining his heroic career. Endevour really seemed to be taking what had happened personally. Sure, Leech had blown his kids arm off with a high caliber bullet, but it seemed like Endevour was taking it even harder than the kid himself.
As for the teacher that Nomu killed... One article in one newspaper on page fifteen. No one gave a crap about him, apparently. Even that one article only mentioned that he died protecting the kids. No, Endevour's kid losing his arm and Midoriya losing his quirk dominated the news for a bit but that was it.
Speaking of news, about half way through the boring tournament, Leech's phone beeped alerting him to a news update. Pulling his phone out to check it, he hummed, "Interesting. Sensei, what's your opinion of the serial killer Stain?"
"Stain hmmm? I understand but do not agree with his philosophy. He believe's only truly selfless people should be given the title of 'Hero' and that only one man in the world currently meets the standard he has set."
"All Might?"
"All Might. Still, while he has never attacked a higher ranking hero, he has killed quite a few lesser known ones. Why do you ask?"
"He just attacked and crippled, not killed, Ingenium." He tapped his chin, "I've been thinking about recruiting a more specialized team or strike force rather than recruiting a bunch of mediocre villains. Perhaps I should start with Stain?"
"So as you wish. Just do not forget that your goal is to kill All Might."
Leech didn't need the reminder. He could see how Stain might not approve of him wanting to kill the only person considered a hero by him. He did wonder though, would Stain still feel the same about All Might knowing the truth about him?
There was only one way to find out.
-Line Break-
Leech smiled as one of Kurogiri's portals opened and a unique looking man stepped out of it, Stain. It hadn't been hard for the portal user to track the man down and invite him to the bar for a quick discussion. Leech had studied up on the man in depth since the Sports Festival the other day and had loved what he'd read.
Stain was a man of principals, something Leech didn't necessarily have but could appreciate. Leech was fully aware that he'd been changing lately. His best guess? All For One had done something to him. What the older man could have done, he had no idea. Or, it could just be that power really did corrupt. While his original Quirk was great, and he still loved using it, it did not compare to the sheer power the multiple Quirks he'd gotten from AFO and Midoriya granted him.
He looked Stain over and had to admit the man's outfit was impressive. He was certain Himi-hime would love the sheer number of blades the man was visibly carrying. It was clear Stain dressed for utility and that his gear was very clearly well used and cared for. He even gave off an air of danger that would have kept Leech from approaching him in the past.
Leech gave Stain a small, polite, bow in greeting after the man finished checking the place out, clearly marking exits in case things went south, "It's an honor to meet you in person, Stain."
Stain's harsh eyes focused on Leech, looking him over and clearly showing a bit of disdain for the way Leech was dressed. Leech was still taking his clothing queues from All For One, even with his much larger and stronger frame he tried to appear professional.
Stain's voice was as harsh as his judgmental eyes when he spoke, "I don't appreciate my hunt being interrupted, what do you want?"
Leech didn't let Stain's attitude get to him. Stain was an older and much more experienced villain than himself and he felt Stain deserved respect for the work he'd done, "I apologize for that. I was hoping to discuss you potentially joining my group, The League of Villains."
To be fair, Leech didn't like the name of their group. He felt it was childish. However, it was what All For One said it had been named by his predecessor so he was stuck with it. Stain continued to study him. It didn't seem like he was interested but no true hunter wouldn't try to get more information, "Why?"
"Because I feel that we have similar goals. From what I understand you wish to purge the world of false heroes. We do as well."
Stain growled, "There is only one true hero, all the others are false!"
Leech nodded in acceptance. He honestly agreed with Stain, with one small exception. Stain believed All Might to be a true hero, Leech did not, "Your work to purge the false heroes is admirable, but limited." He continued even as Stain narrowed his eyes, "It's understandable as you are but one man against an army of pretenders. It's also a sad truth that we are not all created equal and there are just some pretenders you would be unable to handle alone. But together? Join me as my second, help me build an elite team of like minded individuals and as a group we can purge this world of the false heroes!"
Leech hadn't realized his voice had been rising until he stopped speaking and could hear a faint echo bouncing off of the walls. Stain's eyes were wide in surprise, though they narrowed quickly as a sick grin formed on his face, "You believe. You understand."
Stain's tone was almost reverent as he continued, "I tried, for years, to get others to listen to me, to listen to my message about the false heroes." His smile was distinctly disturbed as he continued, "To finally find someone who shares my belief..."
He quickly shook his reverential mood off and narrowed his eyes at Leech. While having a fellow believer was a dream come true, he wasn't going to let it blind him. He needed proof, not just feeble worthless words. He stared hard at the boy before himself and came to a decision, a chance for the boy to prove himself, "You will help me hunt down and kill the false hero Native."
Leech closed his eyes for a moment as he thought hard trying to figure out who the hell Native was. After a moment he opened his eyes, "I honestly have no idea who Native is, but if you believe he deserves to die, then he will die."
Stain turned to Kurogiri, "Take us back to Hosu!" He looked at Leech with a smirk, "We have a false hero to punish."
-Line Break-
Leech and Stain stood in the shadows of an alley at night, they were nearly invisible in their dark clothing. Stain had chosen the spot. It was along Native's normal patrol route, out of the way of most foot traffic, and went between two rather large buildings giving them plenty of space to work in. Leech had to admit, Stain had this hunting heroes thing down.
Stains rules were simple. Grab and kill Native.
The wait wasn't long and the moment Leech saw Native walking past the entrance to the alley, he moved. The 'hero' hadn't even bothered looking into the alley to see if anything was happening. The man clearly thought more of himself than he should. His calm immediately broke as Leech's hand shot out of the dark and wrapped around his neck choking him just enough to prevent him from being able to call out or make any noise.
In moments he was dragged into the dark of the alley where no one would see him. Leech immediately activated his Quirk and started draining the life out of Native. Honestly, he was doing the guy a favor. While Native kind of had the swarthy skin tone of an Amerind, nothing else about him looked even remotely right. His whole Amerind look was a walking case of cultural appropriation. He was doing the guy a favor by killing him before someone over in America took offense at his outfit.
Leech rarely drained the life force out of people. Mostly because, before now, leaving a trail of bodies in his wake would have been an excellent way to end up in Tartarus with all the other Supervillains locked up there. Now he had the power to protect himself!
Native's desperate struggles against Leech's grasp as the very life was drained from him didn't bother the powerful teen. Rather, Leech was enjoying the feeling of draining the life from the hero. Draining life was a unique feeling of pleasure and contentment, like something deep within him was being fed a warm meal prepared by the greatest chef in the world. Unlike draining Quirks or Stamina, he wasn't sure what draining the life out of someone did. He only knew that he always felt... better, after he did.
As he continued to drain Native, Leech turned to look at Stain while holding out his free hand, "May I borrow one of your knives?"
Stain remained silent, just observing as the light slowly faded from Native's eyes. He honestly hadn't expected Leech to so readily kill the hero. He'd heard of the League of Villains and their attack on the USJ facility. There had only been a single casualty, a nameless nobody teacher that had been killed by someone else. He could now see that Leech was willing to get his hands dirty to further the cause. It was... acceptable.
-Line Break-
Leech stood in front of his team. Rather than the masses of weaklings he'd been saddled with for the assault on USJ, he now had a small squad of individuals with excellent skills and Quirks to work with.
Stain, his second in command and primary recruiting point. Almost everyone else had joined once they knew he was a member of the group. Quirk, Bloodcurdle. Tasting his enemies blood allows him to paralyze them. A powerful tool in the groups arsenal.
Himiko, his girlfriend and a big fan of Stain. The reward he'd gotten from her after introducing her to the hero killer had been... life changing. He'd had no idea his Himi-hime could be so kinky. Still, aside from that she was actually a member for her skills. She was athletic, good with knives, and excellent infiltrator and several other things. Quirk, Transform. By injesting the blood of someone she can transform into a doppelganger of that person, even copying their voice and clothing. Though, the latter requires her to be naked before the change or her clothing will be the outermost layer.
Dabi, a badass with burns over large portions of his body and a killer Quirk. He joined because of Stain and stuck around because of their goals. Quirk, Blueflame. Name pretty much says it all, he can generate blue colored flames and project them for blasts and stuff.
Twice, a somewhat weird guy with a pretty cool Quirk. Quirk, Double. It allows him to make an exact duplicate of anything, living or not. While he needs precise details of what he plans to copy, it's not much of a disadvantage. More importantly, if he copies a person, the clone has that persons personality, and more importantly, their Quirk. The only downside was that he was limited to two duplication's at a time. Still awesome though!
Mr. Compress, a flamboyant man with a style that Leech could respect. Quirk, Compress. Anything Mr. Compress touched could be compressed into something resembling a marble. Importantly, he could compress people without it having a negative effect on them reducing their weight and putting them in a sort of stasis until they were released. Excellent for kidnapping. Alternatively, he could compress just a portion of a persons body and instantly maim them, though he insisted that the process of maiming was painless.
Muscular, the last one really worth a good introduction, was a damn near brainless brute, in Leech's opinion. His Quirk, however, made him worth using. Quirk, Muscle Augmentation. His Quirk allows him to significantly enhance and control his muscle fibers to grant himself immense levels of strength, speed, and durability. Though seeing muscle fibers coming out of his skin and wiggling around like tentacles as he enhanced himself was a bit creepy.
The last members, Spinner, Magne, Mustard, and Moonfish weren't really worth mentioning for one reason or another. Moonfish, for example, was bat shit insane with a taste for human flesh and a penchant for talking to himself. His 'costume' was literally a straight jacket, 'nuff said. Spinner... was a Gecko. That's it. But, he had other skills and was a complete Stain fanboy. If nothing else he'd make good cannon fodder.
With the group working together they'd been targeting heroes while waiting for an opening to either draw All Might out on their terms or to hunt him down. He'd been hiding behind the walls of Yuuei almost non-stop since the USJ incident, only going out on rare occasions making it impossible to predict when they might find him.
Stain hadn't been thrilled when he heard that Leech was planning to kill the only 'true hero', until Leech had shown him the truth. Despite everything he'd done, All Might was just another liar and false hero. Rather than be devestated, or worse broken, by the news, Stain had become even more determined to slaughter ALL pretenders, including the King Pretender, All Might.
"Alright everyone, it's almost time. Thanks to the spy Sensei has within the school we know the details of their plans for the first years summer camp activities. The only people on site should be the Wild Wild Pussycat's Hero Group, Vlad King, and Bubble Girl. Vlad King is the most combat capable of the group, so keep an eye out for him. I would suggest not underestimating Bubble Girl either. While her combat skills aren't anything special, she was a side kick of Sir Nighteye and, from what I've been told, she has some truly terrifying scents she can release with her Quirk."
Leech got some muttering and snickers. Everyone was clearly expecting a bigger hero presence to protect the kids. Leech agreed with them, but he wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth, "The Wild Wild Pussycat's are known for their rescue work, but they're still a well oiled and seasoned group. Underestimate them at your own risk. Also remember to be as swift as possible, while the heroes on site aren't much, we should expect reinforcements to be a short moment away. Does everyone remember their parts in the operation?"
After getting a round of affirmative answers, Leech smirked, "Then I with you all the best of luck tonight."
-Line Break-
Leech sat at the counter of the bar, Muscular standing off to the side looking bored. The squad had left a while ago to attack the summer camp. They had a few goals to accomplish, though they were mostly secondary to what Leech really wanted to happen. Their primary goals were a couple of kidnappings, specifically Yaoyorozu Momo, only daughter of the Yaoyorozu Conglomerate's President and Ragdoll, because All For One desired her Quirk.
Leech could see the appeal after he'd been informed of it's utility. Being able to observe and monitor up to a hundred people at once while knowing information like their location and weak points? If it wouldn't kill him to have it, Leech would have been interested in it as well!
Aside from grocery shopping for All For One, the point of this entire deal was simply to poke All Might right in the ego. At the same time, AFO had some plans for the girl. All Leech knew for sure is it was a business thing that had nothing to do with him. Though he would be responsible for guarding her until All Might and the other heroes came knocking. He couldn't wait!
Speaking of not waiting, Kurogiri's iconic black portal opened up within the bar. The entire squad walked out of the portal before it swirled closed and became Kurogiri. Mr. Compress set two blue marbles on the counter with a flourish, "Targets acquired."
Leech smirked as he picked up the two objects, "Excellent."
His gaze moved over to a no longer board looking Muscular. Leech hadn't allowed Muscular on the mission due to the fact the man was bat shit insane. His mental instability would have likely led to problems with the mission. Instead, there was a different mission for him to partake in, one specifically designed for him, "Kurogiri, begin phase two."
A new portal swirled into existence behind Muscular. The large man, already bulking open, laughed gleefully as he stepped through it right onto the grounds of Yuuei. Sure, there was hardly anyone there, especially no students, but that wasn't the point. Muscular had the go-ahead to attack and kill anyone there and cause as much destruction as possible.
Why?
Because it should be the safest place in Japan with All Might teaching there. Mass destruction and the deaths of a few teachers, maybe even some students, after the well publicized attack on the USJ facility? It would deal a crippling blow to All Might reputation and legacy.
People loved a hero. They loved watching a hero fall even more.
-Line Break-
Leech sat all alone at the bar, a glass of scotch in his hand. He sipped on it while watching the monitor showing various feeds from different security cameras. He quietly watched as heroes surrounded the building as surreptitiously as possible. Honestly, if he hadn't been expecting them, he never would hve spotted them. Muscular had done his job perfectly, as proved by their very presence. The villain had, naturally, been captured by the heroes where he sung like a canary telling them all about our base. Once that was done, Muscular was... released from their custody thanks to a goop-based teleporter that All For One hadn't introduced Leech to.
Now it was Leech's turn to work. The heroes would attack at any moment, and once he crushed them there would be no choice but for All Might himself to step up and fight. And when he did... Leech lifted his hand and tapped into One For All a little causing red lightning bolts to wrap around his fist as he empowered it. A wicked grin curled his lips as he imagined the chaos today would unleash on the world.
Leech was pulled out of his thoughts by the door to the bar exploding into splinters. Moments later a dark skinned woman with white hair and wearing a tight white leotard flipped through the door. Her red eyes locked onto him for a moment before he was moving again. Her powerful legs kicked off of the ground launching her into the air where she spun to build momentum, "LUNA FALL!"
The kick, powerful enough to shatter concrete with ease, slammed into Leech's right shoulder with a crash like thunder. Gusts of wind erupted from the impact throwing loose objects all over the place. Yet, for all the power behind the blow, Leech hardly moved. Though the stool he was sitting on shattered beneath him. Luckily he was mostly standing and just using the seat to lean a bit or he'd be on his ass.
Mirko, completely unperturbed by the failure of her attack to accomplish anything, pushed herself off of his shoulder into a back flip and landed on the ground. She gave Leech a bloodthirsty look as she vibrated in excitement, "Tough guy eh?"
Not giving him time to answer she burst toward him her whole body spinning in the air with her leg lashing out at his head, "LUNA RUSH!"
Mirko's legs became a blur of motion as she launched kick after kick at Leech. Each blow aimed at a different spot that should have been a debilitating blow. Leech calmly accepted each blow without comment. Why would he be bother? Shock Absorption made her blows feel like gentle pats. When the Nomu had the Quirk even All Might hadn't been able to deal a dangerous blow. What chance did a physically weaker Mirko have?
After finishing her attack and leaping back once again, Mirko looked at the still calmly standing Leech with irritation, "Are you even going to do anything or just stand there?!"
"Oh, sorry, you looked like you were enjoying yourself so I felt like I'd let you. But sure. I can fight back."
Before Mirko could even get a proper excited grin going, Leech was already in front of her with his fist blasting through the air to slam into her face with bone crunching force. Mirko's body was launched through the air like a missile with blood trailing from her completely crushed nose. She slammed into and through the building next door and disappeared from sight.
Leech calmly dusted his blazer off and walked out of the ruined front door to view a collection of heroes. He recognized some of them, though none of them were anywhere near as highly ranked as Mirko had been. Needless to say, they put up even less of a fight than Mirko had. It was practically a slaughter as Leech blitzed through them his fists slamming into each individual hero and sending them flying. He wasn't certain, but he felt like he might have killed a few of them. It wasn't his intention to do so, but he also didn't care.
With the battle begun, Leech stepped out of the bar and made his way into the empty parking lot. He was once again surrounded by heroes, though this time he recognized three of them. Firstly, Mirko was back. Her lower face was covered in blood from her ruined nose, but she still looked ready to go a few more rounds. Next was the impossible to miss stories tall Mount Lady. Leech only recognized her from two things, her size and her sexual puns about her giant ass from her debut. Lastly was Kamui Woods, a guy who could produce and shape wood from his body.
Leech gazed over the gathered heroes and scoffed, "Right then, lets get this over with."
Mount Ladies foot cam crashing down in an attempt to stomp on him but Leech was already gone. He appeared in front of a hero he couldn't recognize naming him Mook Hero #1 in his mind. His fist smashed, rather lightly all things considered, into the male heroes face and sent his body rag-dolling through the air. He was moving before anyone but Mirko had even begun to react. He deftly didged a kick from the bunny hero to plant his fist into a female heroes stomach. Mook Heroine #1 was blasted away while vomiting out everything she'd eaten that day and then some.
Leech dodged the attacks coming from Mirko, not because they could hurt him, but because it was annoying the hell out of her, of the profanities she was screaming was any indication. Instead of bothering with her, he focused on delivering punishing blows to all the mook hoeroes to knock them out of the fight. They did try to fight back, sending some regular elemental attacks and the occasional esoteric one at him, they were just ineffective.
Some of the mooks did manage to hurt him, while he was kind of durable he was only near invincible against blunt forces. Anything else would actually have an effect. The issue the heroes were running into was his regeneration. With it, any damage they managed to deal was near instantly healed. With that being the case, it was only a matter of a minute or so for him to render the majority of the heroes defeated leaving only the three he recognized. He saved them for last, mostly because he recognized them.
Also, messing with the battle junky bunny was fun.
Leech decided to take out the obvious target first. As Mirko lashed out with a kick aimed at his head, Leech crouched down to dodge it and simultaneously prepare his next assault. As the, rather nice looking, leg passed over his head, Leech unleashed the power of his legs. His feet shattered the pavement of the parking lot as he launched himself directly at Mount Lady's face like a ballistic missile.
The gigantic hero only had enough time for her eyes to widen in recognition of the threat before he was on her. During his flight, Leech rotated his body so he was flying at the heroine feet first. He pulled his legs up to his chest, coiling his powerful muscles in preparation. Once he was within range, he unleashed a mule kick that slammed into the giantess's chest with he force of a wrecking ball. The strength of the blow was enough to actually knock her off of her feet and send her through the air for a short distance. When they both landed, Mount Lady began to shrink, clearly knocked unconscious.
As Leech stood on her chest while she slowly shrunk, wooden branches quickly surrounded him and wrapped him up tightly. Leech was honestly surprised at the strength of the wood binding him and could understand how regular villains might be easily restrained by it. However, before he could simply flex and shatter the wood, a familiar foot appeared in his vision. Mirko's foot to be exact. She'd wasted no time and took advantage of Leech being 'restrained' to land a vicious kick on his face hard enough to actually damage his nose and cause it to bleed.
After pulling her foot back, Mirko smirked at the sight of his bleeding nose and taunted him, "Ha! Now we're even!"
Leech gave her a bland look as he slowly began to flex causing the wood wrapped around him to creak ominously, "Oh Bun-bun, we were never even remotely close to even." Red sparks of bioelectricity erupted around his body as he tapped into One For All, his skyrocketing strength instantly shattering the wooden prison, "I've barely even been trying."
Rather than be perturbed, Mirko only grew more excited. Her feral smile merely grew wider as she crouched slightly to build power in her impressive thighs. Her answer to Leech's taunt was to double down by launching herself off the pavement and aiming a powerful kick at him. Leech's response was to wait, at least from his perspective. Tapped into the power of OFA enhanced his body to a massive degree and to him, Mirko was moving in near slow motion. He had all the time in the world to slip under her kick, sidestep her flying body, and reach out to grab her throat in his right hand.
As time resumed its normal speed to Leech's senses, he heard the undignified 'GURK!' come from Mirko as his hand instantly tightened down like a vice. He focused on her while completely negated the wood once more wrapping around him, attempting to restrain him, by... walking. The strong wood shattering and breaking apart as if it were made of tissue paper while Leech calmly walks back toward the center of the parking lot with Mirko in his grasp.
Once he arrives where he intends to, he looks up at the circling news helicopters, their spotlights shining down on him as Mirko struggles in his grasp. Of course grabbing her in such a precarious hold wouldn't stop the battle bunny from trying to kick the shit out of him, he was just ignoring every last blow as the mosquito bites they were. Even the kicks aimed to break his arm by targeting his elbow were ignored with ease.
Leech's grip on her neck wasn't trying to choke her or cut off blood flow to her brain, yet, but it was a grip of steel that Mirko had no hope of escaping. Kamui Woods, having apparently gotten the message finally, had stopped trying to trap Leech within his wooden grip, finally. It was probably more of a blow to the hero to be so completely ignored than it would be to actually punch the guy. Poor Kamui Woods.
After taking a deep breath, Leech shouted in a booming voice, "ALL MIGHT! YOU'VE GOT SIXTY SECONDS TO SHOW YOUR FACE BEFORE I CRUSH THIS LITTLE BUNNIES NECK!"
To prove his claim he tightened his fist enough to actually make Mirko panic slightly and scramble to try to break his grip so she could breath again. He did loosen his grip slightly after a few seconds. After half the time had elapsed with no sign of All Might, Leech's voice boomed out once more, "IF YOU'RE COWERING AWAY TO PRESERVE WHAT LITTLE STRENGTH YOU HAVE FOR HIM YOU'RE WASTING MIRKO'S LIFE! HE WONT APPEAR UNLESS YOU DEFEAT ME!"
Apparently that was the right thing to say. Less than thirty seconds later, All Might came crashing down in a hard landing a short distance from Leech. All Might was still significantly larger than Leech was, but Leech didn't let that intimidate him. Though the grim look and hard glare were slightly more intimidating. All Might's teeth were clenched in a grimace of anger that barely looked like he was trying to smile, "Everything will be all right. Because, I. Am. HERE!"
All Might dramatically posed and pointed a finger at Leech, "Let her go villain!"
Leech shrugged without a care and cocked his arm back then casually tossed Mirko away. Of course, his 'casual' toss was enhanced by his own naturally given (by All For One) strength on top of the enhanced strength of One For All being used at one hundred percent. Needless to say, the casual toss sent Mirko rocketing off like a bullet. One which was easily caught by All Might in a remarkably gentle embrace.
Once he set her down, All Might gave her a serious look, "This is my battle now."
Mirko looked like she wanted to argue, but held back as even she didn't want to get between a pissed looking All Might and the target of his anger. With a grimace of distaste at having to leave the fight, Mirko made her way out of the area. Kamui Woods followed behind her looking like a kicked puppy in his depression at being useless and ignored.
All Might glared at Leech until the area was clear. Once no one was close enough to interfere he spoke, "I don't know how you did it villain, but you are going to pay for what you've done. For what you've done to Midoriya-shounen."
Leech smirked knowingly, "Yeah, he said you would be upset about that. You know, I actually got praised for doing something he'd never succeeded at before? He's been trying for decades to get his hands on that particular Quirk and I just stumble across it randomly and steal it using his borrowed Quirk? I'm pretty sure he got a few laughs out of that."
The smirk never left his face as he needled All Might and confirmed some of the heroes fears, namely the fear of failure for not truly defeating All For One as he'd believed he had. It was clear to All Might that the situation was bad. He did not expect to walk away from this battle. He might ham it up for the public, but he knew he was drastically weakened and facing the Quirk he'd had for decades at its full power. Even if he defeated the villain in front of himself, an even more powerful one was waiting in the wings to step up and battle him.
Regardless, he was All Might, the Symbol of Peace and he would not fail to do what a hero should do!
The standoff between the pair was broken by All Might. Unlike his opponent, All Might couldn't stand around waiting. He was on a time limit and the sooner he took down Leech, the sooner he could take down All For One and put an end to this entire saga!
When All Might launched himself with as much speed as possible, Leech responded in kind. When All Might drew his arm back, Leech mimicked him. Every move All Might made, Leech mirrored. Their fists slammed together in an earth shaking blow that shattered the ground beneath their feet and sent out a pressure wave strong enough to cause the hovering helicopters to wobble in the air.
There were no words exchanged, just fists of fury as All Might went all out from the beginning. He wasn't messing around, he didn't have the time to waste. Leech, rather expectantly had some trouble dealing with it. While he was most definitely stronger and faster than All Might, he was also significantly less experienced. All Might had been a hero for decades, a professional of the highest caliber with all the appropriate training.
Leech was a street punk who specialized in grappling to make the best use of his Quirk.
In a fist fight it was patently obvious who would be the more dangerous opponent. All Might had no issues capitalizing on his skills to dish out as much damage to Leech as he could. As much as Leech tried to mirror the older Hero, he couldn't manage to tell the difference between a feint and a real blow leading to All Might hammering him at unexpected moments.
Despite All Might landing blows that should have dealt devastating damage, Leech powered on ignoring the hits and continued to try and land his own in retaliation. All Might's concerns grew blow by blow as every hit he managed to land appeared to do nothing. It was like fighting that black beast from USJ all over again. It was like he was hitting rubber. All Might's eyes widened as he realized the problem. He used their next exchange of blows to make some distance between them.
His glare intensified, his eyes glowing blue coals glaring at Leech, "You're immune to punches."
Leech just smirked and didn't answer, why would he give the hero information he could possibly use? No, it was best to leave All Might with the misconception. Instead of monologue and explain all his strength, and maybe give away weaknesses, Leech charged All Might and reengaged in their battle. All Might was forced to grit his teeth and dig deep as his strength waned while Leech's seemed to be unending.
The pair clashed once more, both taking the brutality of their blows to another level. Each clash of their fists sent out powerful shock waves. By this point even the most ardent of reporters had to fall back a bit more and rely on zooming in to record the epic showdown. Even to the high quality cameras, the pairs arms were just blurs of motion.
All Might grit his teeth as he was forced to admit, to himself, that he couldn't hold anything back against the villain challenging him. He acknowledged that Leech was likely just as strong, if not a little stronger, than he had been in his prime. Still, Leech lacked a very important tool, experience. All Might grit his teeth and could taste the blood in his mouth even as it leaked from his lips to stain his costume. He was really running out of time.
A massive clash of fists blasted the two men apart. All Might stood tall but was breathing heavily with blood leaking from his lips, something the reporters didn't miss. On the opposite side, Leech stood taller, though shorter than All Might, and didn't really seem to be out of breath at all. Leech studied the heavily breathing All Might and smirked wickedly.
"Looks like I was right. You've got even less time than you had before USJ. You're down to what... two hours? Two and a half hours at most? And you're burning through your energy even faster clashing with me. How long do you have until you show the world your true face? Five minutes? Less?"
All Might grit his teeth but didn't answer. How much Leech seemed to know disturbed him greatly. No one else seemed to have figured out his fading strength, despite him going out in public less and less in his hero form. It was a show of just how popular he was and the power of his legacy that let him remain the number one hero for so long despite his slowly decreasing performance time.
Leech scoffed and dusted off his rather ruined suit top, "I thought as much. Tell you what, old man." He spread his arms out to the side completely opening himself up to an attack, "One free shot. Give it your all and nail me as hard as you possibly can!" His smirk turned into a cruel and vicious grin, "It might be the last chance you have of ever defeating me."
All Might would never admit it aloud, but Leech was right. His strength was flagging heavily. He had a few more minutes at most and the weird way Leech seemed to just absorb his blows meant he would have to gamble on an all or nothing attack to try and end the fight anyway. There was a problem though. When he defeated Leech, he knew he would be out of energy, weak, and that would still leave All For One out in the wild to plan his next attack.
"If you defeat me, I'll give it to your next chosen successor."
All Might's gaze became laser focused on Leech. He knew the villain was baiting him, and it was still working. Midoriya was still in a coma and his body was heavily damaged from what Leech had done to him. The doctors didn't know if he would ever wake up, and even if he did, Midoriya would have neurological damage and possibly brain damage. He'd never be the same and couldn't take the burden of One For All again. All Might would need a new successor, maybe that boy Sir Nighteye insisted on him meeting.
Regardless, he had to know for sure, "How do I know you will keep your word?"
Leech nodded, "Good point."
He'd prepared for this as well. Reaching into his jacket pocket he pulled out a small ziplock baggie. Reaching up he plucked a couple of hairs from his head while saying, "Whoever ingests these... well, you know." He placed them into the baggie, zipped it closed, and stuck it back in the inner pocket, "Now all you have to do is beat me and take them."
Determination lit within All Might. He had to get those hairs from Leech. Even if he used every last spec of power from the embers of One For All within himself to do it. With those hairs he could get his successor. All For One might remain free and plotting, dark times would definitely be ahead, but those few little hairs represented a bright beacon of hope for the future!
All Might's hands curled into fists as he dug deep for every last spec of power and firmed it up with sheer determination. He spared one last glare for Leech before he moved. All Might vanished from his starting position, the ground he'd been standing on shattered into pieces and blasted away by the force of his launch. The next instant he was in front of Leech with his arm cocked back.
"UNITED!"
The muscles of his arm bulged even as the rest of his body shrank, all of his power being funneled into this one singular blow.
"STATES!"
The power of All Might's blow was so great that the very air around his fist seemed to spark and ignite from the force being applied to it.
"OF SMASH!"
The massively powerful blow slammed directly into Leech's cheek with bone powdering force. A regular person hit with such a blow would be reduced to a fine red mist. The impact of All Might's fist hitting Leech's face released a shock wave dozens of times more powerful than any of their previous blows. All Might knew that this blow was the single most powerful one he'd ever thrown in his life. Even more powerful than the one he'd thought had finished of All For One years ago.
The greatest blow of his career, fitting for the end of it.
The blow impacted Leech's face with more force than the young man could have ever predicted. All Might's knuckles unyielding as his cheek bone shattered into splinters. The sheer unstoppable force of the blow whipped his head to the side, breaking several vertebrae, lifted him off of his feet, and sent him cartwheeling through the air. He flew for over a hundred feet before his body met the ground once more. His body slammed hard into the ground and dug into it instead of bouncing.
He ended up in a pile of rubble almost like a crater as his eyes rolled in his head and he tried to regain his composure. He definitely had a concussion, a couple of broken bones, and likely some internal bleeding. Even in his concussed state, Leech could admit that it was one hell of a punch!
But.
It meant nothing as seconds later Leech's regeneration kicked in and healed all of the damage in moments. The fog in his mind cleared, his bones reset and healed, and the internal damage vanished as if it had never been. Not even internal scars remained from the damage that All Might's all out attack had dealt.
Leech climbed to his feet and pushed his way out of the debris surrounding him. Standing nearby, his body still posed from the final blow, was the true form of All Might. A skinny blonde skeleton of a man with All Might's costume hanging off of him like a tent. Leech slowly approached, studying All Might and knowing he had won.
All Might was completely out of strength, it was taking every last ounce of his will to continue standing. He knew that if he moved so much as a muscle, he would collapse and be unable to get up again. That could never happen. The Symbol of Peace could never be seen to bow before evil. If he was to die, as he suspected was about to happen, then he would die on his feet with a smile on his face and a corny one liner on his lips.
Leech stepped up to All Might, now towering over the much shorter emaciated man. They stared into each other's eyes for a moment. In that single moment, Leech almost wanted to let All Might go. Like most children, he'd grown up wanting to be a hero like the man before him. At least until reality killed his dream and showed him the truth of life.
Life wasn't fair.
Now, it was his life or All Might's life. He didn't doubt for a moment that All For One wouldn't kill him if he failed to kill All Might at that moment. The truth of the world as lived by Leech. He curled his hand into a fist and slowly drew it back. The whole world seemed to be holding its breath. Silence filled that moment as he stared into the still determined eyes of All Might.
His fist flew and the world changed.
-Line Break-
Okay, hear me out before you complain about Leech stealing One For All successfully. I do have some reasons that I think make it possible, just not under normal circumstances. From what I've seen in the Manga and the Anime, One For All's defense about being stolen is about Willpower. Hear me out! AFO always fails to steal OFA because OFA is reinforced not just with the Willpower of the current holder, but also the Willpower of the vestiges. So it's always 1 vs Many (or 2 in the case of Tomura/AFO trying together). Leech is unique in that his Quirk can 'leech' anything from people, including said Willpower. I'd also like to point out that Midoriya has only had OFA for a few months during USJ and the first time the vestiges stirred, canonically, was during the Sports Festival when they saved Midoriya's ass from walking out of the ring. So, my interpretation, is that the vestiges are sleeping at the moment.
It even fits when OFA is passed on because the giver isn't fighting to keep the Quirk, they are willingly letting it pass on. It's why people like Stain and Toga, who had both drank Midoriya's blood, don't get his Quirk, he's subconsciously fighting to keep it from them.
So, all these factors combined and BOOM! Stealable AFO. At least in my opinion with the unique abilities of Leech's Quirk in this instance. Give it a couple more months for the vestiges to awaken and even Leech would fail.
Also, I have nothing against Kamui Woods, it just kind of happened naturally that he was ignored and treated like a joke.
