Yo!
So, I know that it's been a while since I've updated this, but here we are! I'm iffy about this chapter and to be honest, I haven't decided who she was going to end up with. I thought this was going to be 12-15 chapters, but I guess I'll go farther. I think I've failed to set up any type of relationship. If you guys have any idea, then let me know! I will take the suggestion seriously.
It took a week until Sakura felt comfortable around some of the other humans in Hell. After being shown her funeral and how people in her life were doing, she didn't want to be around anyone. Luckily enough, the brothers had been okay with that. When something needed to be done, they asked for the other people. But there was something Sakura had noticed.
Kakashi still wasn't there.
Sakura was okay with that. She didn't want to see him either, but the more she didn't see him, the more she felt bad. He was hiding because of her. She wanted to sit and talk with him, but Kakashi had hid, rightfully so. It was to the point where Obito would ask for Sakura instead of him.
Her and Obito were on speaking terms, so she didn't mind when he did. He didn't make her do much, just sit and talk about how things were when she was living, about the people she saw after he let her see everything. Obito believed in keeping the memory alive, but it was obvious he was sad.
Sakura had sat herself down one day while Obito was looking through the scrolls.
"You know, you keep asking about me but you never talk about yourself."
If Obito could blush he would.
"There's not much you need to know about me."
Sakura hummed, tapping her fingers on the desk in front of her.
"Yes, you don't have to tell me your life story, but you've seemed depressed lately. Is there anything I can help with?"
Obito smiled the best he could but didn't say anything for a few minutes. He began to frown and Sakura noticed that something really was bugging was in her nature to help out.
"Talk to me," She said surely.
Apparently that's all that Obito needed.
"Well… Have you ever met someone that grounded you?"
Sakura shook her head no.
"Unfortunately, I never met anyone like that." Obito nodded before continuing,
"Well, if you were still alive, I would hope you would have found someone like that. But that is what Kakashi is to me. He grounds me. That's why I was so upset to hear what happened. When he hurts, I hurt kind of deal. And he's hurting right now and I haven't been able to help him."
Sakura sighed. She knew Kakashi was hurting because of her. As much as she was mad at the whole situation, she felt she shouldn't be too mad at him…
"He could have said no." Sakura stated, looking down at her fingers.
"He could have said no and refused to kill me."
"No he couldn't and I think you know that." Obito sighed.
"Look, I'm not saying what Kakashi did wasn't horrible– He took your life and it's deplorable. But he didn't have a choice. He had to listen to us. You should be mad at Sasuke and Shisui. They're the ones who came up with the idea. Not Kakashi, who didn't have a say in the matter.
The pinkette thought to herself for a few moments, making the Uchiha worried. After what she's been through, Obito didn't want to make her feel bad or anything of the sort. He just wanted her to see reason.
"I would never ask you to forgive Kakashi. He was involved in your death, I get it. I would be angry too, but talk to him at least." Obito finished. As soon as he was done talking, the door opened and Itachi came in. He saw Sakura with Obito and blinked.
"So this is where you've been hiding," Itachi said lowly with a scroll in his hand. Sakura nodded her head, but couldn't muster the courage to look up at Itachi. He would never have admitted it, but he didn't like it.
"Would you like to… talk about it?" The younger Uchiha asked, making Obito hide a laugh. Sakura was surprised that Itachi wanted to talk about it. She looked at Obito and he knew that she wanted to be alone with his younger cousin. Once Obito left, Itachi and Sakura stared each other down.
"I'm… sorry for what my brothers and cousin did. I had no idea they would have taken it that far."
Sakura was taken aback by the apology. She finally had the guts to look up at Itachi.
"So… it was planned then?" Sakura asked, wondering what Itachi was thinking. Itachi nodded his head.
"Sort of. You see, I found you when I was looking into the portal. I thought your life was interesting enough to show Sasuke and Shisui. It was Shisui's Idea because they had a bet of sorts to see who you would fall for… romantically."
Somehow, hearing this didn't make Sakura feel any better. With anger in her eyes, she started Itachi down as if he was the bane of her existence right now.
"So… it's your fault, then?"
Itachi shrugged.
"It was my fault they knew you existed. The rest is on Sasuke and Shisui. They were the ones who came up with the stupid idea to kill you and bring you to us. I scolded them for it."
Sakura's fist bunched up. All she wanted to do was run towards Itachi and punch him in his smug face.
"Scold them? For killing me?! That's all you did?" She went on, walking angrily towards the demon.
"There should be consequences for this sort of thing! How many people are here because of a whim? Because one of you guys decided to see which one of you I would date? What if I wouldn't have picked either of you? Then I would be down here for no reason besides the fact that one of you guys wanted to literally kill me– Literally!" She was finally standing in front of Itachi, her eyes into his. She knew it was a bad idea but it was a way to say she wasn't afraid of him. Itachi kept his face blank, not wanting to let Sakura know that he really did feel guilty.
"Well… I talked Obito into taking you on for the past few days. We would like you back but we understand if you'd like to stay away from either of us." Itachi went on, his face softening a little.
Sakura sighed heavily, making sure to finally break eye contact.
"I don't know. I don't think I can see either of them right now. At least Obito was much more relaxed and thoughtful than you three, but I'll think about it." Sakura finished, leaving the room to go to her bed.
Itachi shrugged. He knows if he wanted to make it up to Sakura, he would have to be nicer.
Even though she was quiet, before she knew of what his brother's had done, she really was someone to have a great conversation with. He felt guilty about all of this and wanted to make it up to her. Itachi placed the scroll he had in his hand on Obito's desk. He then left the room, deep in thought.
Thanks for reading!
I know this chapter was sh*t, but a kudos would be great!
