Sniper bit Weed's neck and dragged him onto the snowy hole, where an intensely fast river flowed beneath them.

Luckily, Hiro bit Weed's tail to stop him from being pulled any further.

"Why?" Weed asked. "Why? Why do you hate my father so much? What's the point of this?"

"He blocked my career advancement!" Sniper raged. "Without Gin, I could've taken over this world!"

"You can't take over the world!" Weed howled. "That's not what a boss does! Who would follow you if you had no conscience? It's not my father's fault you couldn't take over this world!"

"I don't need the world anymore!" Sniper seethed. "My wish is to take you with me, and make Gin suffer emotionally!"

"What's the point in doing that?" Weed pleaded. "I really did mean to help you!"

"You idiots!" Sniper growled. "You're all just children!"

Weed struggled. "You can make your own happiness! But I just can't understand this . . !"

Why? Weed thought. Why is he like this? There's no such thing as being inherently evil. Is there? But . . . this male . . . Is there no way for this male to be rehabilitated?

Then, with an aching heart, Weed knew what he had to do. "Hiro, lower me down! Submerge me in the water until Murder lets go!"

Hiro did so, and the powerful river caused Murder to release his hold on Weed. Spiraling down into the black waters of death ahead.

Weed sighed, lowering his head in sorrow. He knew he'd saved his father, but also killed an extremely evil dog to preserve the safety of his father. A dog who'd probably never been shown an act of kindness.

"Is something wrong, my son?" a gentle and worried voice asked. Weed didn't even bother to look to see who the voice belonged to; the words "my son" were more than enough proof of Gin's voice.

"I . . ." Weed hesitated. "I'd killed Murder. I allowed him to drown after he attempted to kill me."

Gin gave Weed a gentle nuzzle of his cheek. "You did what was right, my son. You were in war. In the midst of battle – or even war, you don't have time to think about peace. At that point, you have to fight for your life – and kill, if necessary."

Weed nodded. "I know, but . . . what if we could live in a world without war? Without bloodshed? Where everybody was kind to one another?"

Gin frowned, looking up at the starry-night sky. "Sometimes, my son, war is unavoidable. And in order to have peace, you have to have war. You have to fight. And eventually . . . you have to kill." He shivered at a chill in the air. "Why don't we get some sleep, my young Leader?"

Weed found himself unable to smile at his new title. A title that had been given to him after sparing Hougen from death. "Alright, Father," he told Gin, following his dad into Gajou.

However, something caught his attention. In the sky, a shooting star blazed across the sky above him, traveled over the forest of Ohu, and landed far in the distance; roughly six miles outside of Gajou.

Weed desperately wanted to investigate, but the cold night air caused him to return into the safe warmth of Akakabuto's once stronghold.

[LINE BREAK]

Having crash-landed six miles outside of Gajou was a black diamond. The diamond gleamed with a blood-red light before having shape-shifted said light into a dog. Except it wasn't just any regular dog.

This canine reached a height of four feet at the shoulder. Six violet eyes glanced down at the gorge before him. Four powerful paws wielding five-inch-claws scraped the ground as the large dog began to make his way towards Ohu with all but a murderous intent.
