It is a nice cool summer day. Kids are out playing, the sun is shining, birds chirping. It is an overall peaceful afternoon.
Well, it was.
"Stop! W-why are you guys being so mean?"
A small young boy with green bushy hair is seen defending another child from bullies.
"We're only teaching him a lesson!" yelled one of the bullies.
"Yeah this kid thinks he can be a hero with a weak quirk like his! So he can harden his elbows! That won't be worth anything as a hero!" Yelled the other.
"Yeah well I-I think i-it's c-coo!. You all should b-be nicer!" Yelled the boy
"Yeah and what? you gonna make us?!"
"We've heard about you! You're quirkless aren't you? That makes you even more pathetic and worthless than he is!" The first bully yelled out charging up his quirk.
He felt fear grip his heart, but he won't leave this other kid alone. He has to help him.
"M-maybe s-so, but I won't just standby and watch you guys hurt him!" He declared getting into a weak fighting stance.
Watching all this was the young boy. He was completely taken off guard that a random stranger would come to his defense without any regard for himself. He both felt grateful and inspired by his bravery. This spurred him to stand and speak to the boy.
"Thank you for stepping in, and trying to help me. I may be weak but I'll help you take these guys on!" He declared.
The boy looked at him and, his fear subsiding ever so slightly, smiled nodding his head.
Just as they were about to take them on they heard faint explosions in the distance getting closer. That's when the green haired boy had a look of recognition. He looked at the boy and yelled.
"Get Down!"
Just then a blonde haired kid with the angriest look you could imagine jumped over them both.
"DIE!" He screamed, launching his mini explosions on the group of bullies.
"Dammit Izuku! How many times are you gonna go try and be all heroic?!" He yelled at the green haired boy now known as Izuku. "I'm not gonna always be around to save you!"
"Heh, sorry Kaachan, but this kid needed help." Izuku admitted somewhat sheepishly.
"Whatever, you two sit tight while I take out this trash." Bakugo told them, while proceeding to send each and every bully packing.
"Yeah that's right! You better run! The future number 1 hero ain't some pushover!"
After everything calmed down Bakugo made his way over to the other two boys.
"Y'all alright?" he asked.
"Yeah we're fine. Thanks again Kaachan!" Izuku told him grateful for his friend's help.
"Tch, whatever."
Looking to the other kid he asked. "Hey, what's your man?"
"I'm Eijiro Kirishima. Thank you both again for your help. Those jerks have had it out for me since I got my quirk." Kirishima told them.
"Katsuki Bakugo." he said, pointing to himself. "That nerd over there is Izuku."
"Izuku Midoriya, pleasure to meet you Kirishima!" Izuku told him excitedly. "Though you mentioned your quirk, why would they target you over that?"
"My quirk is called hardening. I can harden parts of my body in a rocky-like state, but it's limited to just my elbows and isn't very durable." He admitted to them.
Waiting for the mockery he looked away, but he didn't receive any.
"Tch, idiots. They should know quirks don't start out strong. We're only 10 years old. How can our quirks be that strong right now? We aren't even able to train them yet." Said Bakugo, quite annoyed by the bullies' logic.
"Yeah I'm sure given enough time and practice you'll be able to harden your whole body! Remember quirks are like any other muscle, you have to train it for it to become stronger!" Said Izuku excitedly by the prospect of Kirishima quirk's potential.
"You both mean that?" He asked them, touched and grateful that they didn't mock him.
"Yeah, I mean I would be lucky to have any quirk, let alone one like yours!" Izuku said.
"It may not be as cool as my explosion quirk, but it has potential." Bakugo said with a smirk.
Izuku then got excited and asked Kirishima if they wanted to be friends with them.
"You wanna be my friends?" He asked somewhat surprised.
"Yeah you seem pretty cool and you don't have a problem with Izuku being quirkless." Said Bakugo.
Kirishima looked at both of them and smiled. He agreed and then a trio was formed. After some more talking they found out that Kirishima was new to the area, and that he was going to be going to their school. As the day rolled by the three boys said by and they each went their own way.
The rest of their summer was rather uneventful, but the three of them grew closer over that time and became a very close trio of friends. Eventually the summer ended and school was starting back up. The three of them being relative social outcasts. Though their group dynamic had a change a few weeks into school starting.
"Good morning class!" Greeted their teacher. "I'm happy to say we have a new student joining us today. Come on in, and introduce yourself."
Upon the door sliding open in walked a —- floating uniform?
'Huh, not what I was expecting.' 'Thought the 3 friends.
The girl stood in front of the class and introduced herself.
"Hey, I'm Toru Hagakure! I'm excited to be here, and in case you all couldn't already tell my quirk is invisibility!" The girl greeted with a very excitable and bubbly nature.
"Wonderful Hagakure. Now please take your seat."
With a nod she moved to an empty seat. Said seat was right by our trio of friends. She waved at them when she sat down, or at least they assumed she waved, and then class resumed.
The lunch bell rang and our trio are seen eating at one of the far off tables, when suddenly they get an unexpected visitor.
"Hi! We sit together in class so I figured I should come over and introduce myself properly!" Said the invisible girl.
The first one to speak up was Izuku who admittedly was nervous by the girl's presence.
"W-well hello Hagakure. I'm Izuku Midoriya" Izuku said, introducing himself, and then pointing to Kirishima. "That's Eijiro Kirishima (He waved at her), and he's Ka-"
"I can introduce myself Izuku! The names Katsuki Bakugo, future number 1 hero and don't you forget it!" He declared confidently.
She giggled slightly (Izuku thought it was cute), "Well with an introduction like that I don't think I could even if I wanted to."
He smirked a little, feeling glad he left an impression.
"As you all know I'm kinda new here, and I was hoping we could be friends. You all seem nice and fun, besides if we're sitting next to each other for the foreseeable future I would like to get to know y'all better."
"Well I certainly don't speak for everyone here, but I think it would be great if we can be friends!" said Kirishima enthusiastically.
"I second that!" Izuku said just as excited at the notion of having another friend.
"Sure you seem alright." said Bakugo, much more relaxed than the other two.
Though you couldn't tell her face lit up with excitement, and her joy could be felt.
"Yay! We're gonna have some fun together!"
Just like that the group of three became a group of four.
They continued talking throughout lunch and then headed back to class. The four of them continued to talk and learn about each other more. Apparently Hakagure's quirk allows her to bend the light around her which is the reason for her invisibility. Hagakure in turn learnt about the three of them like how Izuku is quirkless, but a total genius when it comes to science. Kirishima has a hardening quirk that he's a bit insecure about, but she'll help him with that. Then Bakugo she learned had an explosion quirk which admittedly was pretty impressive, and quite ironic considering his personality is a firecracker. All in all though the 4 of them found that they really did like each other's company even if they bicker from time to time.
*cough* Bakugo *cough*
8 Years Later-
Time would pass on as the days became weeks, and the weeks months, then the months years. Eventually after 8 years had since passed and the group was soon graduating highschool. Over the years each and everyone of them has grown in some way.
Izuku has become very intelligent, scarily so. So smart in fact that every university in the country has offered him a full ride scientific scholarship. He has an in-depth knowledge of really anything ranging from physics, chemistry, aerospace/chemical engineering, there really isn't much he isn't well-versed in. Sure he wanted to be a hero like every other kid growing up, but when he was diagnosed quirkless he decided that if he couldn't be a traditional hero he would help people with his keen mind.
Katsuki Is still the same hot head like he was as a kid. Though he's not nearly aggressive, what he lacks in that he makes up for in cockyness. He will become the number one hero and nobody can tell him otherwise, unless you have a death wish. His explosions over the years have become increasingly more destructive, as well as his increased control. He now is able to fly short distances by using the explosive force from his hands.
Eijiro had grown the power and his control over his quirk. Now he was able to harden his entire body at will and was strong enough to take any of bakugo's explosions. He also became a lot more confident in himself. He dyed his hair red and spikes it up now, he also became very chivalrous over the years. He aims to become a hero just like Katsuki, and the two have become intense rivals with one another.
Toru has since developed a keen interest in science just like Izuku. Sure she's not as smart as he is, but she finds it fascinating his wanting to be a hero through his scientific research rather than the use of a quirk. She's always been so inspired by his ability to overcome any trial life has thrown his way, and life has thrown many. She also may or may not have developed a small crush on him, not that she'd ever admit it. She aims to become a great scientist just like him for the betterment of humanity.
Yes, all of them have grown immensely over the years. Now it's nearing graduation, and they are excited to start their lives. Though they are a bit saddened that some of them will be splitting up when they graduate. Katsuki and Ejiro are shooting for UA university, which Izuku has full confidence that they will get in. Izuku was looking at a few universities in Tokyo. Toru was still undecided, but she's secretly hoping she can follow Izuku to where he goes to school.
That brings us to today. Our four are currently hanging out at Izuku's place, studying for their finals, and discussing their futures.
"Wow, I can't believe we're about to graduate," said Toru. She thought back to the past 8 years since she's met Izuku, Katsuki, and Eijiro. They have been the greatest thing to ever happen to her. Before she met them she always felt, due to the nature of her quirk, invisible to people. She felt that she needed to make up for that by being loud and excitable, but when she met them they didn't treat her differently. The three of them always included her and they, Izuku especially, always made her feel seen.
"Yeah I know what you mean Toru." Izuku said. "Time has flown by these past 8 years. It's almost scary how quick it goes by."
"Well it may be scary for you, but it just means I'm all the more closer to becoming the number 1 hero!" Katsuki said with his usual confidence.
"In your dreams Katsubro. We both know I'm gonna be number 1!" Eijiro said, provoking his and Katsuki's rivalry.
"What'd you say, rock head!" Katsuki yelled, smirking at him.
"You heard me!" Eijiro said, smirking right back.
"Okay, okay. Kaachan, Eijiro, let's settle down before you both destroy my room." Izuku said, trying to defuse the situation before they decided to start sparring.
As Eijiro's quirk and confidence grew, so did his and Katsuki's rivalry. It doesn't take much for them to start going at each other. Though it is all good fun between them. They use this rivalry to further themselves and grow to eventually become top pro heroes.
"Fine, whatever. Where we're we?" Asked Katsuki.
"Page 203, applications of gravity." Toru told him.
"Ugh, Physics is lame!" Katsuki said clearly not enjoying the study session.
"Come on Kaachan. Physics is awesome, you just go to open yourself up to it." izuku told him.
"Fine, let's just get this over with."
They continued to study throughout the week, eventually reaching the day of their finals. Izuku and Toru both passed with ease. Toru being in the top 5 scorers, and Izuku being the highest scorer on each final. Katsuki and Eijiro weren't as high, but still did well in their own right being placed 15 and 26 respectively.
After their finals the 4 of them went to celebrate their completion of highschool. After they finished they said goodbye and went to prepare for the next phases of their lives. College. Katsuki and Eijiro got into UA without much issue and are quickly beginning to make a name for themselves. They aced the entrance exams, scoring 1st and 2nd place respectively. Izuku and Toru couldn't have been more proud. It was clear the beginnings of great heroes were being seen.
Izuku and Toru made the decision to go to the university of Tokyo. They were saddened to move away from Katsuki and Eijiro, but they made a promise to keep in touch and to meet again once they graduate. Tokyo was a lot different from Musutafu. It was busier, more crowded, and a bit intimidating for the two.
Currently Izuku is in his dorm unpacking. He eventually decides to take a break and go get some food. When he leaves he ends up bumping into someone and they both fall onto the floor.
"Oh, I'm sorry!" Izuku apologized.
"Please watch where you are going." Said the man in a somewhat condescending tone.
"Yes, of course. Again I'm sorry. I'm Izuku Midoriya." Izuku said, extending his hand in greetings. "What's yours?"
The man looked at his hand for a moment before taking it.
"Victor. Victor Von Doom."
And there you have it. I'm really excited about this story. I've recently gotten really into the fantastic 4 and I'm so excited to further this story. I've done a ton of research into the lore of the team and their history and I've got to say they have some of the most fascinating stories in comics.
