. . . the Director yells "Cut!" & it's a wrap on the season 2 finale of the CW's Supergirl. Katie (McGrath) says goodbye to Melissa (Benoist) then Melissa heads to her trailer where Tyler (Hoechlin) asks her how she's holding up. Still, she says since they're alone they can be Kara & Clark & not the people they're pretending to be then he asks the question that's been on her mind: where are the real Melissa & Tyler then? Ultimately, they decide to be these people so as not to arouse suspicion & then they go their separate ways. During the next few intervening years she's still doing her show but she & Chris (Wood) break up, Tyler does the Teen Wolf movie & later she gets closer to Katie so much so that one day 'Melissa' tells her the truth which Katie doesn't believe so the blonde never brings it up again. Meanwhile, the real Melissa & Tyler's bodies get reanimated as Cybersupers & they get found by the DEO who puts them in stasis until they get better. A little while later they go to a party hosted by Lena whereupon Ruby, when she sees 'Kara', rushes towards the other for a SuperHug & after that, the party resumes. Later on, once said party ended, Kara saw Lena with her head in her hands sobbing so Kara went to give her a hug whereupon the other put her head in Kara's neck & sobs even more uncontrollably then the other lifted Lena's head to state that it wasn't Lena's fault about the kidnapping. After that Lena asks if she can do anything for the other which Kara replies that all she wants is Lena.
In the middle of the night Lena wakes up to see Kara's nowhere to be found so she goes searching for her & finds her in the bathroom but what she sees stops her in her tracks; Kara's covered all over with cuts/bruises. It all becomes too much for her to deny her feelings for the other so she doesn't & soon both women're in the shower together during which they've sex. Sometime after that the DEO finally takes down CADMUS & in doing so Lillian's 'Cyber Attack' gets reversed but in doing so the Supers become fully human because Lillian's failsafe turns out to be Blue K poisoning. Two days later they succumb to their injuries then pass into Rao's Light & everyone else's forced to move on with their lives. Meanwhile, on another Earth, Alexandra Danvers loses her parents & gets fostered by that Earth's Luthors then falls for next-door neighbor Lena Walsh but when Lillian gets wind of it she uses her Leviathan connections to've Alex disappears who later on, reappears as Kara 'SuperSoldier' Karesh. In the end, Lillian's none the wiser because Alex isn't recognizable. Later on, Alex becomes her prized agent to the newly formed government-sanctioned joint DEO-CADMUS Force. It's Alex's job to spy on Lillian's husband's newly discovered bastard. So, Alex becomes the new Jessica Hahn. Now, dear reader, we'll get back to fake Melissa & Katie McGrath.
