The pain was slowly fading. I can't say how much time passed but while I felt weakened, I was still getting better. My nerves were no longer on fire and the elephant stopped trying to see how long he could sit on my chest before it would give out.
This whole experience felt tripy, like, I am floating in a vast dark expense with so many small and not so small flame around me. It honestly looks like what those hippy called trance. In a deus ex machine move, I managed to change my surrounding in a pleasant garden and had the flames assembled on a display globe. I honestly had no idea on how I managed that. I wanted it and poof, done. I call bullshit but no one would hear me so I just accepted it.
Trying my luck a second time I wished for a computer with access to my server, if I had to stay here forever I wanted at least to be able to work on my game. I mean, boreout is a thing you know.
Surprise surprise, it worked. I tried to wish for a beer, because things looked to go my way for once, but it did not work. Tried again with something more simple like a chair, nothing again. Look like the genie only answering three wish was real… A garden, a big ass globe made of flame and a computer connected to my server, not bad, better than the darkness and floating around.
Sitting down? I began to work on an update that I wished I had the time to add before being stuck here: Héphaistos. I really wanted to add a crafting god to my game but did not know who was better. This guy had shitty luck so I felt like he deserved the recognition. He would only give one power: Blessing of the forge. It would give player a good immunity to fire and give them a buff in strength while crafting something using fire.
I also wanted a secret quest to gain Loptr attention. A small prelude to something I would add later. If I did not die before that anyway.
Now, I had to work!
XoX ??? XoX
Long has it been since mortals stopped venerating them. Time passed and so did their believers for their father domain left none untouched. If death is the end of all journey than time is the constant companion.
As his domain still kept a few adepts, for none forgot about their ultimate fate, he observed. His sight was limited and for all the power he once possessed, he could not bring himself to care as his family remained dormant.
Still, his monotony was broken for the first in century as the old ones turned their attention to earth. Would they try to add this planet to their dominion? Would they erase humanity? He could not begin to try and understand those beings that existed outside of reasons. They were merely staring, observing humanity.
For once, he extended his sight and what he found pleased him. Men were back to venerating deities, praying for help. While not praying for the good one in his mind, it was still a step in the good direction.
He saw how a human, one of the gifted as they called themselves, had created a 'game' that allowed divine being to grant boon and test their follower. The idea, while simple, was working greatly and he was sure his niece would find it impressive if only he had done it with the result in mind.
Now, he only need to influence the human and make him add his pantheon in the game. Sleeping for eternity was not as good as it sound when you end up missing interesting things. Plan began to form in his mind and a smile crawled to his face.
Soon, Soon, they would walk the world again, their champions defying fates and stories wrote depicting their might.
