Like father, like son
...
a man named Shirou was doing his usual counter guardian job, but then, one day, he was given a mission by alaya, to go to another world, and there was reward for him, if he be able to accomplish it, he will be granted a one wish.
He was then transported to another world, and started to travel in search for shelter. Along the way, he came across a village that was burning, with the bodies of the village's residents on fire.
Despite the horrific sight before him, Shirou rushed to the burning village and began to search for survivors.
As he did so, he was approached by a crying infant, who had been left in the middle of the village. She was still too young to understand what was happening, and Shirou decided to take her and protect her.
However, the infant began to cry, and Shirou looked at her with a mixture of sadness and determination. With the help of his determination and courage, Shirou calmed the infant and soothed her fears.
The infant began to open her eyes and finally stop crying, she look at him with her big round adorable silver eyes, and soon enough, the infant began to coo and laugh, enjoying Shirou's sweet voice and comforting presence.
As the time past by, he smelled an unnatural stink, thinking that its not human, he decide to run to the forest, running through the trees, in inhuman speed, as he looking around, he found a cave.
He decide to go inside, and use his smell of sense if there's something living in it but smell none, decide to hide, and waiting for few a minutes, he decide to look at the child, to his surprise, the child was sleeping comfortably in his arms,
After some time, Shirou decided that it was safe to leave, as he do so, he was thinking of a name for the child, and remember a rose beside her before taking her.
Shirou look at her with his kind steel gray eyes, suddenly an emotion rushing through him, and in the first time of life since working as a counter guardian, he finally let a tears and a genuine smile.
"so this is what you feel for saving me, father, i finally understand now, and i hope you're proud of me"
Shirou look at her with an emotion in his eyes, and and decide to name her.
"from now on, your name shall be, summer rose, and my name shall also be crimson rose, for the proof of a new beginning"
