Well, you know the drill.

This is going to be played a little more straightforward than my "A Day with Sallie May" Story. This is how I think the "Mission: Antarctica" short might play out in A Loud Among Demons.

On the topic of that, I thank you all for the kind feedback on "A Day with Sallie May" and "Succubi Sleepover". I'm glad many of you found them both enjoyable, and I hope this little story will do the same.

Disclaimer: I do not own any characters in this story. Characters of Helluva Boss belong to Vivziepop, and Lincoln Loud belongs to Nickelodeon. The story A Loud Among Demons belongs to TvFan2244.

Enjoy!

Antarctica.

A desolate, frozen wasteland. Ice and snow everywhere, with a blistering frozen wind. One would think it impossible for life to exist here.

But sometimes, there were visitors.

A portal opened just above the ground. Three imps face planted into the snow, with a fourth figure landing on his feet behind them.

"W-well. That was a bi-big jump." Blitz spoke. He stood up, dusting snow off him before holding his arms while shivering.

Millie whimpered as Moxxie pulled himself out of the snow, shivering.

"Christ on a stick, I'm fucking freezing." Blitz shivered.

"I told you guys it would be cold." The fourth figure spoke. He wore a black ushanka on his head, with a gray woolly beanie poking out slightly underneath it. He wore a black tactical coat with the I.M.P logo stitched over the left side of his chest. If one looked closely, they would see another jacket underneath it. He had thick winter gloves on his hands, with a second pair of thinner gloves underneath. His legs were covered with black baggy coveralls, and he wore a pair of laced up tactical boots. A thick ski mask covered his face, with a pair of polarized goggles over his eyes.

"Sh-shut it, Linc." Blitz sputtered, "l-let's ju-just get this s-shit over with."

"Th-the client said his d-death was near the-the research station" Millie said, shivering greatly. Lincoln trudged over and hugged her, hoping his warmth would help her. Millie accepted and gently hugged him back.

"Th-that research station?" Moxxie spoke, pointing over to a nearby building, its door swinging open and closed.

The team looked at each other, before trudging off towards the station.

Lincoln covered his mouth as they entered the station. Frozen bodies were strewn about, sliced in half with their organs spilling out. Millie turned Lincoln away and comforted Lincoln with a hug, which he returned.

"What happened here?" Moxxie spoke as they entered.

"These guys were torn to shreds. I've seen Wrath b-b-b-beasts less brutal than this." Millie said, tightening her grip on Lincoln.

"What… did this?" Lincoln spoke from Millie's hold.

His question was quickly answered when they heard a roar from outside. Blitz looked out to see the silhouette of a large creature, not far away from the station.

"I think you just got your answer Linc." Blitz spoke. "Okay, Mox, you go up top. Mills, you watch the door. Linc, you're with me."

The three nodded before moving to their positions. Moxxie laid on the roof, looking down the scope of his rifle. Millie stood ready at the entrance, while Lincoln crouched next to Blitz, drawing a few tarot cards.

"Alright, let's turn this fucker into SWISS cheese!"

He noticed Lincoln looking at him, obviously unamused. "What?"

The creature roared again before it started moving towards the station. Blitz started firing with his shotgun, while Lincoln threw a few tarot cards. As it came into view, Lincoln was able to see it was a leopard seal, and it seemed hurt, more than just their attacks…

The crack of a rifle was heard, and the seal's head exploded. It slid to the base of the steps, unmistakably dead.

"Guess the fish fucker met his match." Blitz chuckled as the crew walked up to the creature "Eat shit in Hell, polar slut! Good job, Mox, now let's get out of this frozen shithole."

But Lincoln noticed something was off as he neared the creature. He knelt next to the seal's corpse, inspecting its leathery hide. The others noticed Lincoln and watched him, before the boy stood up, holding his pistol at the ready.

"This seal wasn't our target." He spoke solemnly.

Blitz raised a skeptical eyebrow. "Oh, and how would you know, Mr. 'I-Get-All-My-Damn-Magic-From-a-Book'? You suddenly a seal whisperer now, or is this just a wild guess?"

Lincoln growled a little at Blitz's response, before pointing with his gun to the seal. "Take a closer look, genius. Those scars say this is not our target."

The imps moved to inspect, and saw what Lincoln was looking at. The seal's hide was covered in claw marks and scratches.

Ones that weren't made by bullets.

"Sh-sh-sh-shit! This slut wasn't running toward us!" Blitz realized.

"It was running away... from something else…" Millie finished his thought.

The four huddle together, rotating as if their target would jump out at any moment.

"We got a bogey, ten-o-clock high." Lincoln said. The others looked at him in confusion as he rolled his eyes. "There's something on the ridge up there." He sighed, pointing up at the glacier above. At the top of the ridge stood a penguin, its beak covered in blood.

"DROP HIM!" Blitz screeched as Moxxie readied his rifle.

"Wait!-" Lincoln started. But Moxxie already took the shot. The penguin fell dead where it stood.

"Problem solved." Blitz said, before they felt the ice start to rumble beneath their feet. Behind the penguin corpse came a giant group of penguins.

"Fuck, that's like ten of them." Blitz said.

Lincoln face-palmed. "Blitz, just shut up." The boss imp shot the intern a small glare.

"Maybe those ones are nice…" Millie said, a fearful smile on her face.

They saw the penguins muttering to one another, before one looked down at them with a glare.

"I don't think they're happy we killed their friend." Lincoln spoke, feeling fear rising in him as he readied his pistol.

Suddenly, the entire group of penguins started sliding down the ice sheet towards them, baring razor sharp teeth.

"go! Go! GO!" Lincoln screamed as the group ran towards the building. As they neared the entrance, Lincoln stopped and turned around, his co-workers stopping to look at them.

"Blitz, get a portal open back to pride!" The boy shouted, drawing half a dozen tarot cards. "I'll hold them off!"

His eyes glowed red as he threw the tarot cards across the ice. The ground shook before a giant wall of ice grew from the ground, forming a barrier.

The penguins hit the ice hard, stunning them. The imps smiled at this, before the penguins got back up and started attacking the wall, attempting to push it over. Lincoln threw his hands up as they glowed red, holding the wall in place against the assault.

"Anytime now, Blitz!" Lincoln mentally screamed, starting to feel fatigued.

-Linebreak-

Blitz was struggling to open the portal back to their headquarters. The ice shield wouldn't hold forever, but he didn't know how to use the crystal.

"What's the hold up Blitz?" Millie said, watching her son starting to strain his magic to hold the ice shield from the army of killer penguins. The ice was starting to crack from their assault.

"I can't just make it go, okay?" Blitz said, tapping his Asmodean Crystal. "I'm still getting used to the fucking thing!"

Lincoln groaned as the shield started to break more. The penguins could now stick their heads and arms through. Moxxie took the opportunity to assist his son, shooting the penguins that had started to squeeze through.

"It's from lust!" Millie said, as Moxxie began to panic a bit beside her. "You got to treat it right. Caress it, use your tongue!"

Blitz started licking the crystal to no avail. Lincoln rolled his eyes, realizing that Blitz couldn't open a portal back to pride. Then, he came up with a plan in his head.

A dangerous plan.

A demonic one.

His inner demon was raring for a fight, but he knew he had to get the others to safety first.

"Guys!" Lincoln shouted. "I have a portal card! We can escape through it!"

The three imps widened their eyes as they ran over to the boy. He quickly pulled it out and threw it. A blue portal appeared, showing the I.M.P workplace.

"Let's go!" Blitz shouted. The three imps jumped through, celebrating their escape. Millie quickly looked back, seeing Lincoln still on the other side.

"Lincoln!" Millie shouted. "Come on!"

Lincoln looked at Millie. Even though his face was covered, she saw the glow of his eyes through his goggles.

"Sorry, guys." The boy spoke in a deep and hollow tone. He waved his hand, and the portal started to quickly dissipate.

"Wait, WAIT!" Millie screeched, running back towards it. "LINCOLN! NO-!" The portal closed before she could jump through.

Lincoln hated to do what he did. But, he had to make sure they were safe.

These penguins had killed so many people. He would not allow them to kill his family.

Or him.

He ripped off his hats, face mask and goggles, his sclera black and his irises glowing red, his teeth were as sharp as a shark's. His nails sharpened into claws as antler-like horns grew from his head, his shadow quickly started to change, forming a demonic jackalope.

After taking a few deep breaths, the boy let out an ear shattering roar, destroying the ice shield. He then lunged at the horde of penguins, which looked at him in fear.

"No! No, No, No!" Millie shouted, banging the floor while crying hysterically.

Lincoln had stayed behind.

Her precious son stayed behind to deal with the murderous penguins.

For all she knew, he was…

She felt someone put a hand on her shoulder. She looked up to see her precious hubby, tears flowing freely from his eyes. She quickly pulled him into a hug as the two surrogate parents cried while holding each other.

Blitz stood awkwardly off to the side, watching the two. He looked down at the crystal on his arm.

If he had just been able to use it…

He suddenly felt himself pushed to the wall with great force. He looked down to see an absolutely pissed off Millie holding him, with a slightly scared Moxxie standing behind her.

"OPEN THE PORTAL!" Millie screamed angrily

"M-Mills, I can't just-" Blitz started, slightly scared by Millie's change in demeanor.

"OPEN THE FUCKING PORTAL BLITZ!" Millie shrieked "MY BABY BOY IS STILL UP THERE! HE NEEDS HELP! WE NEED TO GO FUCKING SAVE HIM!"

"Okay, Okay, Fine!" Blitz said, getting Millie to back off. He took a deep breath, and gently started stroking the crystal. He closed his eyes as he started stroking it a little faster, being careful as he did.

There was no time to waste. Lincoln needed them.

To their surprise, a portal opened, showing the frozen tundra they were just on.

"Wait right here, and be ready to open the fucking thing." Millie spoke sternly to Blitz as she grabbed Moxxie. "We'll be right back."

She jumped through holding Moxxie's hand as the portal closed behind them, both wearing looks of determination. Looking around, the two noticed they were on the ledge the penguins were on not too long ago, and looking down at the station, their expressions changed to horror.

The station was in ruins. The roof had collapsed, the door was ripped off, and the walls had large holes in it.

Almost like something ripped through them.

Blood was strewn all around the station, covering most of the ice below. Penguins were all around, severely beaten and bruised.

The two looked at each other before quickly sliding down the icy hill. They quickly ran over to the ruined station, and began searching for their son.

"Lincoln!" Moxxie shouted, stepping on and over the penguins as he looked. "Lincoln!"

"Lincoln! Where are you, honey?!" Millie shouted, jumping on a pile of penguins to get a higher view.

They both met up at the doorway to the ruined station, glancing at each other before they walked up to it. When they walked through it, however, they both gasped in absolute horror.

Lincoln was lying on the floor, eyes shut and shivering profusely. His outer jacket was ripped, with his inner one destroyed completely. His coveralls were ripped from the knee down, and his boots and gloves gone. His skin was pale blue, with many bleeding cuts and bruises.

Moxxie pulled out his phone to call Blitz as Millie dashed over to Lincoln, picking him up in her arms. She was even more horrified when she felt how cold he was. "Lincoln!" She shouted. "Lincoln, wake up!" Lincoln stayed silent in her hold. Millie started tearing up as she held him closer. "Lincoln, come on honey, wake up! It's me! It's your mama!" She was met with only more silence.

A portal was opened behind her. She turned to it and saw Blitz had again opened the portal. She quickly ran through, with Moxxie following behind her. Blitz looked in shock at the blue skinned Lincoln in Millie's arms. "What ha-"

"No fucking time for questions!" Millie spoke. "He needs help, NOW!"

-Linebreak-

Lincoln groaned a little as he felt himself wake up. He paused for a second as he felt his surroundings.

He was warm. He was actually warm.

But that was impossible. He thought that he was…

He paused for a second as he felt his surroundings, the warmth seeping into him from nearby heaters and the soft bed beneath him. His eyes fluttered open, the blurry surroundings gradually became clear. He saw he was in some kind of hospital room, the sterile smell and quiet beeping of monitors confirming it. Taking a look out a nearby window, he could make out some familiar parts of the sloth ring.

He felt the comfort of several layers of blankets wrapped around him, and as he turned his head slightly, he saw Millie sitting beside him, her eyes red and puffy from crying. Moxxie was there too, holding Millie's hand, his face a mix of relief and concern.

"Millie… Moxxie?" Lincoln's voice was hoarse, barely more than a whisper.

Millie's head snapped up, and her expression shifted from worry to overwhelming relief. "Lincoln! Oh, thank fucking Lucifer, you're awake!" She threw her arms around him, careful not to squeeze too tightly. "Oh, don't ever scare us like that again, mister!" She said as she kissed his cheek multiple times.

Lincoln weakly returned the hug, his body still aching from the ordeal. "I'm… I'm sorry. I just… I couldn't let them get you."

Moxxie joined in, the two of them holding Lincoln as if they never wanted to let go. "You don't have to apologize, Lincoln. You did what you thought was right, and you were incredibly brave. But please, don't scare us like that again."

Lincoln managed a small smile, though it was clear he was still in pain. "I'll try not to." Another question came to mind. "How long… was I out?"

"Three days," Moxxie answered gently, his voice tight with emotion.

"We were scared you wouldn't pull through," Millie added, tightening the hug. She then pulled back a little, wiping a tear out of her eye. "But, you're here with us now. And that matters more than anything."

Before Lincoln could respond, the door creaked open, and Blitzø stepped in, followed by Loona, who lingered near the doorway. Blitzø's usual bravado was tempered with a rare look of concern as he approached the bed. "You really scared the shit out of us, kid," Blitzø said, his voice gruff but with an edge of genuine relief. "But you're a tough one, I'll give you that."

Loona nodded in agreement. "Yeah, don't do that again Linc," she said softly, her gaze softening as she looked at him. "We were all worried."

Moxxie cleared his throat, drawing Lincoln's attention back to him. "By the way, we went back to Antarctica," he said, his tone darkening slightly. "Those penguins won't be hurting anyone else. We made sure of it." Millie chuckled sadistically, remembering the screeches of the penguins.

Lincoln smiled slightly, leaning back on the bed as his eyes began to close again, he felt a deep sense of comfort and safety. The warmth of the blankets and the presence of his co-workers—his family—filled him with a rare moment of peace, easing the lingering fear and exhaustion from his ordeal.

The mission was complete. They were all safe.

And to Lincoln, that was all that mattered.

[Author's notes]: Whoo! That was FUCKING exhilarating.

This story is shorter than my other stories. Problem is, there wasn't much else in the short beside the mission, and I couldn't really see any way to stretch it farther than that.

Also, some of you may have noticed I cut out the part with Moxxie and the crystal. I know some people found it funny, I just cringed at it.

But anyway, I hope you enjoyed this ALAD adaptation of Mission: Antarctica. I hope to eventually see something like this in the story, and I can't wait to see what the next shorts holds.

Thanks for reading!
