The world itself has much darker side to it which effects the lives our positivity and drowns it under a ocean of negativity, happiness was never as easy to get as it is said by many people.

The was true many years ago for a person named Jake Decresso who was a 6 year old boy living in an orphanage where it was cold, the food was icky, the beds were as hard as stone and the kids there were so mean to him, they bullied him for his green hair and brown ahoge that looked like an apple, which is where they go off calling him apple head.

Jake: Ow! Hey stop it!

*Jake gets shoved to the floor*

boy 1: shut up apple head!

boy 2: yeah! What he said, ha!

Poor young Jake was pushed around and builled by many of the boys there. But there's a another who is called Diane Selisica a 5 year girl who was no different from Jake. she gets bullied by other girls who call her Clumsy, Ugly or useless, she would have to deal with boys who not only bully Jake but try to get her into liking them more, even the girls would try to get Jake into liking them more but no. Jake and Diane only like each other and each other only which gave motivation to the other kids who try to seperate them.

Jake and Diane were much different from all the other kids, they were special. Jake was learning to play the guitar and Trumpet and so far he's doing very good at his favourite songs. Diane learns the Violin and Piano and has played a few popular songs on them, but overall what they enjoy most when it comes to music and melodies is sining and Dancing.

That's right! They always love to speak out their voices and get their toes moving on the floor, they were really good though the kids at the orphanage just saw them as weirdos who move like monkeys and speak like broken speakers, this hurts them very badly leaving them in a world of heart breaking pain.

There would even be times where they would try to get adopted by the same family, every couple that has ever came never really saw the special talents within them and even if the two friends showed their dancing moves and musical skills there just wasn't a family out there who wanted to take them, there were those who did but Jake and Diane can tell a family who never really cares about children when they see them. With no hope of finding the right family for them, they had no choice but to give up.

years have passed since their last attempt to get adopted, Jake was now 11 and Diane was 10, they both were a year ahead and behind each other, Jake went back to the bedrooms and sat down on his bed stressed out about what was happening recently.

Jake: Why? Why? Why!? Is there no one in this world who accepts us?!

The green haired boy stomps his food as Diane placed her hand on his shoulder to calm him down

Diane: Jake, i know you're upset that it's been years since someone wanted to adopt us but...i know there will be someone!

The girl's words were spoken with a smile to help put a smile on Jake's face.

Jake: you're right Diane, there's gotta be someone out there who would want us!

Then loud banging from under the floor was heard as the two knew it was caused by the knocking of the cruel, strict, rude, child threating owner of the orphanage, Miss Ambers, a crooked lady in a black dress with a walking cane who was the most scariest person alive, everyone including the orphanage staff was afraid her when she approaches near. They saw if you get her really mad, she'll tie you up with sharp wires, bring you down to the basement and toss you into the furnace to burn you to death. No one would even dare to show the slightest act of stupidity in front of her, especially not Jake and Diane.

Miss Ambers: JAKE! DIANE! GET DOWN HERE YOU FILTHY RATS IT'S TIME FOR DINNER!

The cruel lady kept banging up on the floor below the two kids as they hurried down stairs to the dinning room with the other kids, even Miss Ambers was waiting for them there, they arrived in a flash.

Miss Ambers: You know when i say come down for dinner, I MEAN COME DOWN FOR DINNER!

Miss Ambers lifted her cane and wacked Diane on the head with a hard swing as Diane was knocked down, Pain escalated through her head as she cried in pain, her eyes flooded with saddness and fear, Jake looked at the crooked lady terrified by the way she hit his friend

Miss Ambers: Now get your friend up and sit at the table!

Doing as she ordered Jake went to her Diane as he helped dry her tears they both sat the table with the others, the chef came in and served them their food, it was raw potatos and mushrooms full of Fungi with disgusting fried cockroaches, the others got to eating this so called food while Diane just looked down on her plate as tears dropped to her lap, Jake placed his hand on her shoulder to help make her feel better

Jake: Don't cry Diane, i promise after dinner i'll heal that bruise ok?

Diane gave a little smile to the best of her ability

Diane: o-ok, Jake...

They both looked back to their food and started eating, hours later during nighttime Diane's bruise had been fully healed thanks to the ice pack made by Jack as they both prepared to go to sleep when Jake was looking out the window into the moon

Diane: Jake are you ok?

Jake: Y-yeah Diane, it's just that out there, i wish we didn't just get any family.

Diane: any Family?

Jake: well...i'm not sure how i should describe this but, i'm thinking of family that is a group of friends who share the same interests we have, for all i know i think that would be the kind of Family we need. Wouldn't you agree?

Jake turned to Diane for her answer

Diane: yeah, now that you mention it, that would be the best family we could ever dream of...good night Jake, see ya in the morning *yawns*

As the sweet girl fell to sleep, Jake walked up to her and gave her a gentle head rub. The firm softness of her hair gave comfort to his hand like a pillow

Jake: Good night Diane, hope to see a better tomorrow...

Jake then went over to his bed and went to sleep as the lights went out, he closed his eyes slowly in hopes of a better tomorrow.
