More years have passed and no one still has come to adopt them both, Jake was now 19 years old and Diane was now 18, the two remained living in the orphange even though they became grown adults, over their years of still being in the orphange new kids came in, some got kicked out, old ones were returned after being given up by their adopting parents.

They both knew there's no way they're never gonna get adopted now that they're both grown ups, nowadays they spend their time helping out the staff with various things to do in the orphanage, mostly cooking and cleaning. Though they has something to do to keep themselves from being bored and stuff, but there was something they were missing that made them feel empty.

At the bedrooms where the two were just having a chat when Jake felt a little different from himself today.

Jake: *sighs*...what is it that we're missing?

Though they had already given up on wanting to get adopted, they still wanted to have a family and they don't mean one's who would come to adopt you, they want the kind only they could find out there in the big world, a group of people who admire and share their special talents with them who treat each other more like a family than friends.

Diane: Jake, Sweetie i know what you're concerned about, it's finding our kind of family right? Like you said all those years ago.

Jake: yeah...that's right, i've been wondering for so long, that i wonder...is there a family out their who truely accepts someone like me and you? Or not...

Diane: don't get your hopes down Jake, i know we'll find the perfect loving family for us.

Jake: Y-yeah, we will.

While that conversation helped but smiles on their faces they soon faded away when they overheard a conversation from downstairs as they made their way down to see the horrid Miss Ambers talking to a man in a black suit wearing a top hat.

Man: ma'm i'm here to inform you that due to the amount of orphans you're keeping here i'm afraid by under the law of the government i afraid you'll have to kick out two of them to make room for more, got any in mind?

Miss Ambers: Hmmmm...i do have the two In mind. Jake! Diane!

Hearing the woman call them, they both went to down to her and the man she was talking to

Miss Ambers: you can take these two, they've been here for a while but we still consider them orphans

Man: very well then ma'm, thank you for you time, come with me you two

The gripped their arms and dragged them with him out of the orphanage in the early evening, the lady grinned with pride finally having those two kicked out of the orphanage after a long time, many minutes later the man brought them over to an alleyway near where his car was parked. The two didn't like where this was going.

Diane: H-hey! Where are you taking us?

The man let off a evil grin as he held their arms tighter and then tossed them down the alley as they landed on the solid ground both injuring themselves after landing

Jake: ow! Hey! What was that for?!

The man spoke no words as he went up to his car and drove off leaving them both stranded in an alleyway in a town they don't know.

Jake: HEY! GET BACK HERE YOU!

Diane: Jake no!

As Jake was about to chase the man, Diane grabbed his hand and stopped him before he even started running.

Jake: but Diane I-!...

Knowing why Diane stopped him he calmed down and sat down on the ground looking miserable and depressed, Knowing that if he tried to chase the man he wouldn't be able to catch him in his car and he would have already lost him at any point.

Jake: *sigh* You're right, there's no point anyway...

Diane: Jake, what should we do now?

They both looked around the alleyway and it's damp, Freezing, Bland atmosphere surrounded the area with ick and filth.

Jake: i guese we'll...just have to make ourselves at home here till we figure something out

With that said they spent hours trying to make a living in the alleyway and it wasn't easy, knowing they can't go back to the orphanage nor did they have any money to spend on food, when it was night Diane had found a blanket big enough for four people to share, it was more than enough for the two of them To share, Jake grabbed a plastic bag and was about to head out to the big city.

Jake: i'm just gonna head out to...find any food dear, i'll be back

Diane: ok, stay safe.

Jake then walked out of the alleyway into the big city at the dark of night which caused tension and worries to press down on his chest as his heart beats grew louder and louder, he and Diane had never been anywhere outside the orphange in their lives, Jake was worried where he might end up lost but he knew Diane was counting on him so he had to be brave and ventured into the city in hopes of finding food but after half on hour of searching he hadn't found anything to eat.

Jake: *groans* this is hopeless! Maybe i should go back and tell her the bad news...

But before he could walk away he saw something that caught his attention. Down at the park he saw a group of teens and two kids, the first one was a boy with curved spikey blond hair, a blue bandana and blue sneakers, the other was a girl with platinum blonde pigtails, diamond ear rings and red sneakers with yellow laces, as for the teens they were black hooded meanies who were pushing and shoving the boy while the girl was hiding behind a bench.

seeing this reminded him of how he and Diane used to be bullied back at a young age, he clenched his fists with strength and marched on forward to them, he approached the little girl who got scared and thought he was going to hurt her but Jake convinced her that he wasn't.

Jake: it's ok, i'm not here to hurt you, i'm here to save your friend.

the little girl looked at him and then looked at the teens who were teasing her friends.

little girl: O-ok, p-please be careful sir...

Jake: i will

He gave her a gentle pat on the head then walked up to teens who were holding the boy up high, Jake had enough of bullies and thier mean behavior, so it was time he stood up for those in need including his friend Diane.

The Boy: Put me down! Put me down now!

Teen 1: ha! Or what? You're gonna cry for your mommy?

the other teens laughed as the little boy struggle to losen the hand that was gripping the colar of his shirt when, Jake launched his fist towards the teen and punched him right at his face knocking him down as he catched the boy who was up in the air in his arms, he then let the boy down and told him to his behind that bench where his friend was, and the boy did just that as the teen woke up looking at the man who punched him.

Teen 1: what gives bruh?

Teen 2: yeah why you messin our fun?

Jake: your fun? Do you even know for a second what you were doing!?

Teen 3: hey man chill-

Jake grabs the teen by his colar as he glares at him with angry face as the other teens trembled in fear

Jake: listen here you! For your information if i ever i see you lay any harm on that boy or any innocent children, i'll find and beat you up like never before! Do i make myself clear?

The teen nodded yes as he and the rest of his group ran away into the night where he would never see them again, he then turned to see the two kids hugging him

The boy: t-thank you sir, for saving me there

Little girl: that was so scary, who knew what would have happened next

Jake hugged them back as a warm feeling coursed through his heart, he had never felt this happy before.

Jake: it was my pleasure you two, now what brings you kids out here late at night?

The boy: well, we went out here looking for place to sleep since our old one was taken by those teens you fought back there because my friend here Emma is an orphan and i'm just a boy with parents who never really treat me like a son, oh and i'm Leo by the way.

Emma: nice to meet you sir

They all shook hands greeting each other with friendly smiles

Jake: nice to meet you both, now i may not look like it but, i'm an orphan too

Leo: you sure? i mean you're an adult right?

Jake: yeah, though i lived in an orphanage for a while with friend of mine and now we've both been kicked out and we're living in an alleyway not far from here, wanna come with me?

the two kids looked at each other then came to an agreement

Emma: ok, we'll come with you

Leo: Yeah

Jake: good, follow me

Jake led them both to the Alleyway where Diane was, when they arrived Jake introduced the two kids to his friend and Diane welcomed them as she allowed them to sleep with her in the blanket she had found.

Diane: *Yawns* sweet dreams you two, and you as well jake

Jake: same to you's as well

Leo and Emma then slept peacefully as Diane held them safetly in her arms like a mother with her loving children.

Jake enjoyed watching Diane and his new friends sleep peacefully as he climbed up to the top of the building at the right in the alleyway staring into the moonlight.

Jake: one day...one day i will find family for me, Leo, Emma and Diane, that is a promise i vow to keep.

Jake was about to head down when he then saw a strange tall figure in front of him dressed in a red, white, purple and gold magician look

?: Looking for a Family for you and your friends you say?

Jake got a little surprised when the tall man in the white spoke with such a charming voice.
