Grief. The absolute loneliness behind that word never crossed her mind before. When you grew up in a post-apocalyptic world, things like death and struggle came with the territory. Just about her entire family met an early grave, so she was no stranger to burying those that she loved.
The sickness that could never be cured of this world was something that even her science expertise couldn't fathom. Drought, famine and starvation plagued the Earth like a sickly cancer. It formed in the hottest parts of the continent and quickly began to spread across the planet. Water did not last long on Earth, for it began to evaporate into nonexistence against the blistering, unstoppable heat. No crops could grow, no animals could thrive. Every inch of natural life was rapidly being destroyed by the very Earth that birthed it.
In her time, only about 15% of the world's population were able to survive the apocalypse; a number that was dropping at a rapid rate. Lucy was among a small group of researchers and doctors coming together to find solutions to their depopulation. Civilization as they knew it started to work on life underground where the harsh effects of the sun would not affect them.
At night, a group of people would scavenge for any materials that could be of use. Among these scavengers was Lucy's husband, Natsu. A magnificent man, he was. Brave, bold and kind at heart. He was what could be described as the perfect, refreshing oasis in the middle of her dry, unforgiving desert; exactly what she needed and wanted. Many of her family members were consumed by the famine early on when the drought first began to hit. Natsu was beside her to pray over every gravestone. He was the one that took her hand in his, gave it a kiss and held it up to his heart saying that he'd always be by her side.
One day, on an expedition, every man and woman came back from their scavenging. One after another, they all returned to their wives and children. All except Natsu. Worried for her husband's safety, she waited until the sun had set to take it upon herself to look for him. Being that Lucy was 25 weeks into her pregnancy, many of the doctors had advised against her exposure to the outside world. Despite their reservations, she made the conscientious decision to carefully traverse the area when she deemed it was safe to do so.
Alone, she searched the desecrated world above. Nothing could possibly survive that drought. The ground beneath her feet cracked and caved in from the lack of moisture anywhere to be found in the air. For hours upon hours, she searched high and low for her love. The sun was soon scheduled to rise and time was running out. Determination brought her to her family's old estate. There was no particular reason other than she had a feeling. Sure enough, in her old abandoned bedroom, she found her husband… but relief was not the feeling she would use to describe the sight she had seen that day.
Natsu Dragneel; the love of her life, the father of their unborn child, had perished. A blood curdling scream escaped her mouth as her eyes fell to his decimated form. His legs were crushed under what looked like debris from the roof that had been caving in from lack of structure. His skin was pale, cracked and ice cold as if turned to stone. In Natsu's hand, he held a blonde haired, blue-eyed doll to his chest with a smile on his face. Lucy's hands shook as he retrieved the doll from his lifeless hands. As she took a good look at it, she recognized it as her favorite doll she had named 'Michelle' growing up. Her little sister… Natsu had gone to the estate to retrieve what was one of her most treasured possessions.
She thought about what he may have thought of before the sun started to rise. Did he think about passing this doll down to their child when she was born? Did he whisper his goodbyes to his family before the heat of the sun consumed him? How much pain did he experience before his untimely death?
Lucy rubbed her large belly and sobbed silently, sinking to her knees beside her deceased lover. The air around her was heavy and thick as she suffocated between her sorrowful cries. True, her kin was buried by her own hands, but the thought of burying him? There was not a single drop of strength she could muster to even think of holding the shovel over his grave. The Earth showed no signs of living, but in Natsu, there was the purest form of life. Now that he's gone, how could she raise their baby girl into a world where no life existed? What hope could she pass to her child if there was none to be given?
No, she thought; she wouldn't do it. She can't do it. The only way to bring life back to this world was to create it. This would not be the end of Natsu Dragneel. The day that he lied hopelessly under a pile of rubble was not going to be his last. It couldn't be.
No matter what the cost, she was going to make sure of it.
Without a second thought, her hands began to move quickly, prying the rubble off of Natsu. She scraped desperately as the sun began to peak over the horizon. Her hands bloodied with every piece of rock and glass, but none of it mattered. The only thing she needed to worry about was getting her family back home in one piece. Tears spilled down her cheeks as she finally freed his contorted legs. Frantically, she hoisted him up onto her back. The weight of his body crushed down on her legs and ankles, but that wasn't going to stop her.
She adjusted her grip on his arm and leg and began to hobble her way to the bunker miles away. To whatever God would listen, she prayed in between her heaving breaths that she could bring her family back in one piece. The sun threatened the back of her legs and back as it rose higher into the sky. Blisters began to form on her exposed arms almost immediately, burning her with a searing pain. Screams of pain began to pierce the air as she felt the panic rise within her. Adrenaline rushed within her, giving her a corner of strength to push herself forward.
His eyes watched her carefully with every step she took. Piece by piece, his body came together with every sheet of metal. The seriousness in her eyes was intense; he couldn't remember a time where she didn't look like that. Then again, he didn't have that much memory to go off of. He had only been alive for 11 days so far.
The first day was when he woke up. His software booted up for the first successful time after multiple attempts. His eyes had opened for the first time by command of his master. The rejoice within his blonde, brown eyed master brought tears to her eyes, clutching her very large, swollen stomach. His design did not yet implement any knowledge outside of his robotic mechanics, as he was only capable of registering sound and sight. Nonetheless, his master sobbed on the cold metallic floor before him. The robotic being did not know why. This was behavior he was not familiar with.
On the second day, his master introduced herself as 'Lucy Heartfilia'. She had registered his name within his software to be recognized as 'Natsu Dragneel'. Most of his incomplete mechanics did not allow him to perform any of his functions. At most, he could only move what he recognized as his head, face and upper body. 'Natsu Dragneel' was perplexed by his construction. It seemed that half his body was mechanically engineered, while other parts were that of biological material. His software questioned the makeup of his body, but had no way to reject or investigate it. 'Lucy Heartfilia' offered little explanation, as she said that all would be explained in due time.
On the third and fourth day, his master had fallen ill. 'Lucy Heartfilia' had suffered from what was identified as a common cold due to a probable case of stress and lack of sleep. Since 'Natsu Dragneel' had awoken, he had not witnessed his master take a single break. Endlessly, she prodded at his biomechanical brain, perfecting its recognizability and memory storage. Even as she was stricken with this cold, 'Lucy Heartfilia' continued to tinker with the software. 'Natsu Dragneel' had detected her exhaustion and had attempted to alert her to dismiss immediately, but communication was beyond his capability. So through her illness, she persevered and successfully was able to upload his software to gain knowledge.
Over the course of the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth day, she taught him about the history of the land she came from. The land known as 'Earth' was almost completely inhabitable. Below the Earth's hardened crust, a small society survived this calamity by harvesting the last remaining sources of water that could be found. 'Lucy Heartfilia' was among a group of renowned scientists and researchers who discovered a way to efficiently grow a steady amount of crops underground without the need for any sunlight. The human population has begun to show signs of growth in recent months.
Mortality rates are also rapidly decreasing with the influence of medicinal remedies. However, the water supply within the Earth's crust is decreasing at an accelerated rate. As humans need water to survive, extinction within the next century is increasingly probable. The demise of the human population was unavoidable; a truth that 'Lucy Heartfilia' was frighteningly aware of. After devoting months of research to their cause, 'Lucy Heartfilia' prematurely left the development team and began working independently.
The ninth day was Lucy's last day developing Natsu's brain functionalities. On this day he was able to walk and move his body freely upon his will. Of course, Lucy could always give him a command and his software would obey its master's instructions, but she made it clear she never wanted to utilize that ability.
Upon approaching her for the first time, Natsu had greeted himself to his master using the voice box that he now had control over. The sound of his voice filled Lucy's eyes with tears as she rubbed her belly; a habit of hers, Natsu noted. Upon her cluttered desk in the cold, metallic experiment room, there was a box of tissues that had almost run empty. Natsu used his biomechanical engineering to walk over to the desk and retrieve a tissue for Lucy to wipe her wet eyes. His humanoid hand held the tissue out for her to grab and her warm hand fell into his in a moment of silence. Her deep brown eyes stared into his artificial ones for a long moment before she took the tissue and continued on with her work.
On the tenth day, Lucy decided to finish the construction of his biorobotic heart. Up until now, the heart was only capable of the necessity to pump blood to his otherwise human-like organs. The discussion of his body was brought up in conversation after Natsu had questioned why he recognized certain body parts of his were not by his master's design. The query surprised her, but she answered any question he had nonetheless. It was on this day that he learned that he is a component made up of a human who had since passed. She talked about how this human's body had perished in an accident that injured parts of his body and later succumbed to the effects of the intense sunlight. He then asked her if he was a product of her research to revitalize humanity by reviving the dead. To this question, she stayed silent.
Lucy explained that when she inserted his heart once more, he would most likely begin to feel an intense pain. She warned him not to panic; that if it became too much, to hold her hand and wait for it to pass. Nastu recognized that he was in no position to think she would willingly cause him harm, so he accepted his newly formed heart. When she inserted it into his chest cavity, he instantly felt the weight of it among all other things. Lucy had described that he would feel pain, but this was a pain that he did not understand. The pain was not physical, for he did not feel the pain of her hands caressing his organ, fixing it into a secure place. This pain was something different. What he felt was… anguish.
He gasped as the suffocating feeling consumed him all together. Lucy closed his cavity and he immediately gripped her hand. When Natsu saw her eyes wince in pain, he felt the guilt of causing her pain and apologetically released her. He hyperventilated as he let his brain consume his heart with the confusion he didn't know was within him all this time. There were so many questions and not enough answers. Why was he here? Why did Lucy bring him to life after he perished? All the haunting questions he had came to the surface and threatened to cause him to self-destruct.
His mind's racing thoughts came to a sudden halt when Lucy's hands reached the sides of his face, meeting his eyes with hers. She shushed him and confirmed that he was going to be okay. For the first time, a tear began to form in his one human eye. Lucy's eyes grew wide at the discovery and she quickly wiped it away. He admitted to his master that he was frightened, and all she could do in response was wrap her arms around him. A wave of calm washed over him in her arms. The pain didn't disappear, but it lessened. The anguish was replaced with what he recognized as a human emotion called consolation.
His master continued to hold him while she whispered reassuring words to him about how he was doing amazing and she couldn't be more proud. To thank her, Natsu thought it would be a good idea, not to wrap his arms around her, but to rub her belly just as she does to console herself. With his hand on her stomach, she released him and looked down at the hand with confusion. Just then, beneath his hand, he felt a thump under the skin of her stomach. Natsu lifted his hand with a cocked brow and stared at his palm for a minute. Nothing out of the ordinary, he thought. Lucy watched him closely as he watched her stomach. Her skin stretched out to one side for a brief moment and she watched his eyes widen.
Lucy rubbed the spot on her belly and smiled at him with a tear threatening to spill over the edge of her eye. He asked his master a flurry of questions. Things like, did her stomach bite his hand, or do all humans have creatures growing underneath their skin? Lucy only snorted out a boisterous laugh and rubbed her stomach again. She told him that she was pregnant with a baby girl. Natsu was familiar with a human's reproductive system and functionality, but truthfully, Lucy was the only human woman he had ever seen or remembered. Another overwhelming feeling consumed him; anxiety.
Today was the eleventh day of Natsu's consciousness. His completion was just about around the corner. After tirelessly working day in and day out, Lucy was anxious to finally fit in the last piece of Natsu's complex puzzle. Today was a very important day. Today, he would regain the lost memories of his human self.
"Will it hurt?" Natsu asked. Lucy, with that serious look on her face, shook her head in response.
"It shouldn't, but I can't promise anything. You're the first cyborg I ever built."
The words didn't comfort him, but her presence was enough. Above all else, Natsu worried about regaining his memories of the person he once was. Was he a good person? One could only hope so if Lucy was putting herself through all the trouble to revive him. Did it hurt when he died? It was a question he thought of often, but no response seemed to answer it directly. Lucy refused to tell him anything about his past life before this point. He wondered if he would like the person he used to be and if he did, would he miss him? Well, there was only one way to find out.
Lucy tinkered with a microchip at her cluttered desk. Beside her was a blonde doll with blue eyes, sitting atop a pile of scrap metal. She's always had that doll close to her, never too far out of her reach. He found it interesting that such an intensely serious woman would carry around such an adorable toy. A smirk reached his lips and Lucy had noticed it when she glanced up at him.
"Are you excited?" she asked, smiling back as she brought her finished product up to him. He compelled his software to allow his chest cavity to open for his master and shrugged.
"I don't know yet. What if I don't like the person I've turned into? What if I'm not a good person after all? Will you deactivate me?" He asked. Lucy's smile dropped as she stared at the microchip. The silence grew heavy between them as he awaited her answer. She eventually met his gaze and sighed.
"I have known you almost as long as I've known myself, Natsu and I would never force you to do anything. That's especially true, even now," she started. She placed a soft hand on the sad of his face and he leaned into it.
"If it is what you desire, then I will deactivate you when you tell me to."
Natsu nodded and placed his hand over hers. Lucy proceeded to hold him as she inserted the chip into his memory compartment. Natsu jolted as his memories flew over his eyes like a video recording. His master sadly watched as he pieced together every bit of knowledge that his former self came to know. Her hand placed over her pregnant belly and she whispered a prayer to her calm baby.
The first visions he had were that of his childhood. Natsu Dragneel grew up with a brother and two parents. At a young age, his family perished in a horrible fire and he came out as the only survivor. During the majority of his life, he grew up in a very small orphanage. He remembered the aching pains of hunger in his belly and the brisk, cold air venting through the holes in his sweaters. Struggle was no stranger to Natsu Dragneel, but he never faultered. There was a glimmer of hope somewhere deep inside of him that just knew that things were going to get better someday.
As time passed, he entered highschool. That was when he met the blonde girl that would change his life for the better.
Lucy Heartfilia was just a girl. She grew up with both parents as an only child and she, for the most part, was very well off. Natsu didn't care for any of that, however. The fact that she was a smart, rich girl didn't grab his attention. He never figured he'd ever even get a chance to talk to her, let alone become her friend. On one fateful day, that all changed.
Lucy used to carry around this beautiful blonde-haired, blue eyed doll with a blue dress. Oftentimes, Natsu would see her fiddling with it in class, but he never gave it much thought. One day, while walking home from school, he spotted a bully running away with her doll in hand as she chased after him desperately. Tears streamed down Lucy's face as she sluggishly ran after the agile boy. He could've walked away and minded his own business… but how could he?
Without thinking, he dashed past Lucy and zipped up to the boy, tackling him to the ground before he knew it. The doll fell from the bully's hand onto the concrete. When Natsu reached for the doll, the boy had already ran away in fear as Lucy approached in labored breaths. She stopped in front of him and panted, clutching her chest in pain. A vision flashes of Natsu holding out the doll, giving it back to Lucy. From that day forward, they were inseparable.
They started as friends, but friendship quickly grew to become a love cherished more than anything else in this godforsaken world. In a world where nothing but unfortunate events seemed to follow them, their love stayed constant and strong. Many of their classmates would ask what it is that Lucy saw in him; and sometimes, he wondered the same thing. But Lucy's answer was always the same.
It's just something about him that makes me feel like he was made for me.
After highschool came college for Lucy. Natsu, however, had other plans. While Lucy attended college to become a biomedical engineer, Natsu utilized his small list of talents to pick up work as a mechanic at a local car repair shop. Together, they moved into their first apartment with his support. That time in his life was the first time he could remember he felt like he had a true home after the loss of his family. His thoughts wandered to what it'd be like to have kids with Lucy. Would they be smart like her? Who would they look like? Would they have a boy or a girl? He entertained the idea several times before he decided that it was time to start saving up for that important piece of jewelry.
Years later after Lucy graduated with her master's degree, Natsu finally got the chance to marry the absolute love of his life. Tears began to brim his good eye as the vision of her in a white ball gown and veil flashed before him. She was his gorgeous bride. She was no longer Lucy Heartfilia. That day, she became Mrs. Lucy Dragneel; wife to Natsu Dragneel.
When they made love for the first time, it was like a fire lit in their hearts, forever intertwining them. Her kisses felt divine, as if he received the favor of a goddess. Her skin was sweet like a forbidden fruit; dangerously addictive. Countless times, she opened her body to him, accepting his overflowing love as many times as he was willing to give it.
The day he found out he was going to be a father clenched his heart in a lightweight feeling of joy. Lucy had gone to her doctors and returned home with the results in her hands. The visions came to him, showing pictures of him lifting her into the air, spinning her around and giggling with excitement. His joy turned into tears as he sunk down to the ground, hugging her legs and kissing her stomach. Lucy cried with him, sinking down and hugging him. She kissed his face over and over again, chasing away the happy tears and placing her forehead to his. This was their family, this was their life.
The peace that blessed their lives was disrupted abruptly when the government issued a rapid evacuation due to the increasing risks of the drought that plagued their civilization. People left and right were suffering severe starvation and dehydration, and in the worst cases, third degree burns as they were unprepared for the calamity that would devastate the planet. For years, people raved about the effects of global warming, yet the situation quickly escalated before there was anything anyone could do. There were millions of casualties in just under a week. Among them were Lucy's own mother and father. Natsu could still hear the screams of anguish from his wife when she discovered their untimely demise. All he could do was hold and rock her and his unborn child to sleep in their cot. If he could at least keep them safe and alive, that's all he could ever ask for in these trying times.
Lucy's skills were put to good use in the underground bunker as a researcher. The development team was slowly but surely coming up with ways to progress this underground lifestyle. Resources were slim and mortality rates were rising, so the clock was ticking. Natsu urged Lucy to take her time and think about the wellbeing of the baby, but he knew full well she wouldn't listen. How could she when other children are dying of starvation? She was doing her job to make this world a better place and he was damn proud of her for it. All he needed to do was to make her job easier in any way he could. So, he signed up and took the job of a scavenger. Lucy never argued about it; she knew he was more than capable to perform the job and do it safely. That was a decision she would soon come to regret not fighting against.
It was nighttime. Natsu kissed his wife and her aching belly goodnight before his expedition. Before he left, Lucy made him promise that he'd come back well before sunrise. He promised and left after a clear 'I love you'. He would've said more, had he known that would be his last night. He would've held her longer or he would've sung his unborn daughter, Nashi, a lullaby for her to remember. There were so many things he could've done differently… and that was his last thought before the roof caved in on top of him.
Lucy's cheeks were wet with her trailing tears as she clutched her stomach in front of him. Natsu's eyes rolled back, snapping back into consciousness. His breath was labored as he looked around and recognized the augmentations made to his body. It wasn't him. He was supposed to be dead… how was it even possible for him to be here?
Natsu locked eyes with what appeared to be his wife. Her hair was much longer and less lustrous. Her hands placed over her protruding belly were scarred and bloody. Her bare belly and arms had burns all over them that seemed to have never healed. His eyes scanned her all over in disbelief. Her long skirt and scarf over her chest were tattered and dirty with oil and metal shavings. Was this really his wife? Did… did she make him?
"Lucy…" he whispered with a shaky voice. Lucy nodded, wiping her wet cheeks and hobbling a step closer to him.
"It's me, Natsu. I came back for you, my love."
She sniffled as more tears fell from her eyes. Natsu's brow furrowed as his tears began to pour out. He clutched his cold, aching chest and attempted to take a step closer to her. His brain struggled to command his mechanical legs to move. Each step was shaky and unsupportive. Lucy shook her head and moved within arms reach of him, gripping his shoulders.
"My love, please don't try to move too much. You're not used to controlling this brain, it may take a while to-"
Natsu grabbed his wife by the shoulders and held her close in his arms, planting a lovely kiss on her voluptuous lips. Tears streamed down his face in the size of golf balls as his heart felt fiery hot with passion. Lucy hugged her husband closer, feeling her hands up his bare back. His skin was much colder than it was before, but he was here. He was alive. The relief of it all brought her close to collapsing against his soft lips. When he released her lips, he held her face in his hands and peppered kisses all over her cheeks, chin and forehead.
"My star… my love… I'm alive," he spoke in complete awe.
His heart pumped loud against the metal plate in his chest. Lucy chuckled, rubbing her stomach as she planted a quick kiss on his lips once more. He pressed his forehead to hers and brought his attention down to her enlarged belly. His hand covered hers over the protected child.
"Nashi's been getting pretty big, huh? My little baby girl…" he whispered. Lucy nodded.
"We needed you, Natsu. When you didn't come back, I feared the worst. So we went out to look for you. When I found you… oh my God, my love… what were you thinking?" she whispered through the pain in her chest. Natsu gasped and pulled back from Lucy before looking around the room.
"Michelle, my star. Did you-"
Lucy hobbled back over to her desk and picked up the blonde doll with a saddened smile on her face. She passed it to Natsu who clutched the doll close to his heart. He petted the doll's hair, cuddling it like a child.
He attempted again to take control over the biomechanical brain inside his skull. He compelled the software to allow him access to his legs and after a few tries, he successfully began to walk.
Lucy didn't realize how much this doll meant to him. Not only was it a doll that she loved and cared about, but it was also a token of the beginning of their amazing years together. When he came across the estate, there was just no possible way he could turn around and leave Michelle behind. He wanted nothing more than to pass this important memento down to his beloved daughter. During his visions, Natsu recalled the last things he thought of before he passed. The last thing to cross his mind was that his sacrifice would be in vain. That Nashi would now grow up without learning the memento and without her father to tell the story behind it. His daughter was going to grow up and he wouldn't get to see it.
Now, Lucy gave him a second chance. She gave him life…
"Lucy… how- how did you do this?" he asked.
Lucy caressed his face and kissed him tenderly on the lips again. Both their hearts fluttered like butterflies dancing harmoniously in the air.
"I made you come back to me, my love."
Natsu wrapped an arm around the small of her back and pressed her close to him, folding his other hand into hers. The kiss was warm and wet as he slipped his tongue into her mouth, deepening the kiss. Lucy ran her fingers up his toned arms, gently caressing the side of his neck and she moaned into his mouth. Oh, the feeling of him embracing her… it sent her mind almost into a madness. She had only ever dreamed of kissing the man that changed her life again. Now, she never wanted to let him go.
"My star… my treasure… my goddess," he whispered as he trailed his hand down to her thigh, lifting her up into a straddling position. He carried her to her cot and laid her down gently, peppering kisses all over.
For months, she had not left his side. For what felt like decades, she fought for his second chance at life. She was the creator of life itself. She was his master, his lover, his most beautiful rose. His body took some getting used to, but his body remembered its creator. His mechanical eye fixated on her form underneath him. The sight before him was almost ethereal; her golden locks sprawled out around her like a crown, her eyes were half lidded in admiration, her precious lips were parted, singing the most beautifully enticing sounds. Her body harbored life; his beautiful daughter, Nashi. She carried his daughter in her belly, nurturing her young and protecting her within her own body. Lucy truly was divine, Natsu decided. His one human eye grew misty with tears as he planted kisses all over her body.
"My dearest, my most precious gem…"
Lucy basked in his shower of kisses, listening to his words of worship and praise. Pleasure built up within her as he moved southward down her body. His hands gripped her thighs, pulling them apart and he continued to work down her legs, kissing every inch of her.
Upon lifting her legs, he noticed tightly bound bandages on both of her calves. His kisses halted as he scanned over the bandages. He assessed his previous memory to see if he could recall her injuries throughout his assembly. It then began to dawn on him that her injuries were from when she reached the surface to retrieve his lifeless body. Burn marks, red and irritated scarred her body.
Reading his expression, Lucy sat up in her cot and offered a hand over his cold, mechanical heart. Natsu gripped her hand over his chest, keeping it steady. Though mechanical, his heart still thumped with purpose. His heart was beating due to her sacrifices. His heart beat because she willed it. Though mechanical, his heart was still very much full of her. It yearned for his master's satisfaction above all else. Somewhere in his robotic heart, he questioned if his unwavering devotion to her pleasure was an effect of his software, but he dismissed it either way. Whether it was part of her design was irrelevant; Natsu knew that he loved her all the same as he did in his life as a human. No biomechanical heart could change the way his skin flowed with electricity as she gracefully traced her delicate fingers over his skin.
"I know everything seems strange, my love. Your brain and heart are made up of my own personal design. You may be wondering if your feelings are that of your software or of your own volition."
Natsu's grip clenched down firmly on Lucy's hand, shaking his head. There was a glance of understanding in his good eye while his robotic eye focused on her. Lucy's eyes had a look of expectation within them. His hand ran through her blonde locks, holding her stare.
"It is just as you always said, my star. I was made to love you."
Their bodies crashed together, reattaching their lips upon the other's. He laid his beloved wife down in her bed, moving back down between her legs. A pot of honey began to pool between her sweet legs. He willed himself to taste her, pulling down her skirt and dipping his fleshy tongue into her folds. She sang his praise as her husband carefully ran his flat tongue over her forbidden fruit. The echoes of her cries bounced off the cold metallic walls of her sanctuary.
Her body held a warmth within her that was missing from his computerized body. Natsu yearned to feel her warmth, sticking his tongue into her womanhood. Lucy's screams of pleasure urged his software to continue satisfying its creator. Blood rushed to his humanoid appendage below as he relished in his woman's delicious cries. His fingers slowly inserted into her tight core as his tongue worked to stimulate her bud of nerves. Her fingers twirled around his pink locks, encouraging him to continue. From her mouth, spilled endless words of approbation as her body approached its glorious crescendo.
"My heart, I-I love you," she breathed in labored breaths. Natsu groaned, speeding up his deliberate pumps. Pressure began to rise inside her full belly.
"And I love you, my radiant starlight," Natsu responded as he pumped his fingers into her and watched adoringly as she climaxed into his hand. Her eyes winced shut as the waves of pleasure rocked her into a calm satisfaction.
"The rarest rose wilts in comparison to the beauty of my most precious treasure," he poetically whispered as he removed his fingers and licked them clean of her deliciously succulent honey.
Lucy quickly got up from her spot on the bed and urged her husband to trade spots. Unapologetically, she freed his taunt member from its restrictive trousers. His robotic eye focused on the lust building behind hers. She admired her handiwork as she scanned over his body. His skin was healthy and plentiful with nutrients, his motors and receptors were functioning quite splendidly even under the overstimulation. His heart beat, pumping the blood effectively to all areas that needed it. The relief of the completion of her work was overwhelming.
She positioned her legs on either side of his metallic hips and sheathed his hot member inside herself as she held his gaze. His human eye rolled back as she slowly moved her hips in time with his. The warmth… the heat. He craved to bathe in her warm body as she continued at a very slow pace. His groans and her moans bounced off the wall and back at them. Making love to him like this was something she long craved for.
"It's been 173 days, my desire. 173 days, I worked endlessly to breathe life back into you," she informed as she continued to grind her hips down on his thick shaft.
Natsu held the side of her hips as she steadied herself, holding a hand to his heart.
"You are my creator; m-my most beloved goddess."
Lucy sped up her movements, keeping a steady pace as she stroked his cock inside of her dripping oasis. She bit back her cries of pleasure as she tried to maintain her composure. After all this time separated, she wanted to remind her husband of how much she missed him. How much her body craved him into the night… how much he completes her.
"173 days, I spent telling Nashi stories of her father as she grew bigger every day. 173 nights, I spent tirelessly piecing your body together like a puzzle. My soulmate, my other half… you have no idea what hell this world has been without you by my side."
His grip on her hips tightened as he bucked against her. Her sweet substance poured onto him with every stroke. He watched her whip her head back in ecstacy. Sweat glowed in the firelight of the torches illuminating the room as her body became slick to the touch. With every thrust, he grew closer and closer to his orgasmic end. She felt his member begin to twitch expectantly inside her core. Her muscles began to tighten around him in response.
"My heart, I am forever yours until time as we know it ceases to exist. When the last light fades to dark, my hand will be intertwined with yours. When our last breath leaves our bodies, together we will step into the afterlife beyond. I swear to you that our souls shall never part again. My gem, the mother of my child…"
Natsu trailed off as the two of them climaxed in magnificent harmony. Lucy's body quivered over him as she gasped for air through the thickness of their pleasure. Natsu removed himself from his beloved wife's pot of honey and laid her beside him in their shared bed. Their moans and groans mixed together as they struggled to regain their composure. Lucy's hand found Natsu's and she squeezed it, staring tiredly into his gorgeous eyes. A chaste kiss was placed upon her swollen lips as he analyzed every inch of her face.
Between them lay Lucy's unborn child in her stomach. Natsu reached down to comfort the child within her womb. The child kicked in response to her father's touch, earning a tearful grin.
"What a strong, healthy girl. Nashi, my sweetest gift. Your daddy loves you more than life itself."
Lucy's heart fluttered. The couple exchanged hopeful kisses and 'I love you's as they fawned over their beloved child. Nashi was a product of the love they harnessed over their amazing years together. Natsu kissed his wife's forehead and cried alongside her at the feat they had overcome to be in each other's arms at this moment.
The world as they knew it was gone. Never would her daughter experience the sunlight kissing her face. Never would she know what it was like to breathe in the cold brisk air of the winter. She tirelessly worked to provide a bountiful world in which her daughter could thrive. That dream had been long lost. With the Earth's water having no way of replenishing itself, Lucy knew she was only prolonging the inevitable demise of her people. In the next 100 years or so, the world would be completely void of all natural lifeforms.
If she could not give her daughter a bountiful Earth, she could at least birth her into a life where her father existed.
(A/N: This story was a little bit different from what I'm used to creating. Thought it'd be nice to challenge myself a bit! I hope you enjoyed this one. Thanks for reading!)
