So here's where I use a song (Or at least part of a song) from The Emperor's New Groove, or at least what The Emperor's New Groove formerly was, originally it was going to be a movie called Kingdom of the Sun and was going to be a typical Disney epic similar to The Lion King with a Prince and Pauper-like story and the song 'Snuff Out the Light' was Yzma's who was much more explicitly a witch in the original version where in Emperor's New Groove she's more of a mad scientist, here in Bacon Bit's flashback Bacon But was only able to hear part of the song which is good because otherwise she would have been hypnotized but also she would realize that most of the lyrics about being old, wouldn't make sense for a beautiful teenager like Morgan hence this was another instance of Morgan being possessed by her Mother
"I remember one night…" Bacon Bit said "...I was in the nursery with the other Orphan Cubs…" (The Orphans were Mutant Animal Children who didn't have any parent figures with mutant or human to take care of them) "We were supposed to be asleep...But I just felt restless that night...I tossed and I turned in my bunk, and then I heard the sounds of music…"
FLASHBACK
Bacon Bit's ears flickered when she began to hear it...The Mutant Piglet lifted her head and saw out the nursery window a distinct purple glow…
"Guys…" Bacon Bit said quietly as she sat up in bed "...Do you see that? Do you hear that?"
"For the love of Pete just go to sleep Bacon Bit!" Said Chac a young Mutant Vampire Bat "Some of us have things to do tomorrow!"
Bacon Bit thought it was quite ironic that a nocturnal bat was telling her to sleep at night, so she crept out of her bunk and walked over to the window...Peering out she saw that the purple was coming from an enormous purple bonfire that was burning outside the mansion's walls! Bacon Bit thought it was the most beautiful sight she had ever seen!
On a large rock above, Morgan stood, she was singing, although what she was saying Bacon Bit couldn't quite hear, around the bonfire was nearly every adult Mutant in the mansion, although Bacon Bit couldn't see Eleanor anywhere.
The Mutants began dancing wildly around the bonfire, flying creatures flying around the fire then Bacon Bit heard clearly what they were singing
"Apparitions of eternal darkness
Spiraling in circles through the night
Creatures of beguiling blackness
No more squinting in the light
Bats and owls and coiled sea dragons
Crocodile and carrion beasts
Swirling in the growing darkness
Join us in the coming feast
Spectre wraith and apparition
Spirit demon phantom shade
Salamander serpents, dog-faced devils
Dance and watch the dying sunlight fade"
Bacon Bit wagged her curly tail to the music and thought it sounded like fun! She heard the lyrics but thought they were just like...Having a Halloween-type party or something...Nothing serious...At least that's what she thought she thought...Deep down in her heart of hearts, because she was still so angry at Humanity...She like the Mutants participating in this song and dance were basically coming to a mindset of 'If humans think I'm a monster then let me be a monster!' which had allowed Morgan to persuade them to take part in this dark magic ritual!
END FLASHBACK
As Bacon Bit was describing the lyrics of this song, certain Mutants, like Lovelace, Rover, Stripes and even Dana were having strange sensations, they could practically hear the music as it was! And what's more they felt as if they were dancing around the bonfire with those other Mutants even though they were no where near that place at the time! The feeling caused constriction in their chests feeling like they couldn't breathe...One of them a Mutant Goldfish named Shirley flopped over to a nearby bucket because she had to barf
(Shirley was amphibious, meaning she could breathe on land as long as she didn't get to dry, however she had a fish tail lower half instead of legs so she used a dolly to get around on land)
"Well…" Von Kaiser said "...That was certainly...An interesting Segway…" He looked over at Glass Joe he was rubbing Dana back as the Mutant Doberman was trying to get her hyperventilating under control "I think we should take a five minute break while I write that new information down."
So...Got a new New Mutant Student created, Shirley was named after the pet goldfish of the villain of the Bitsy Bears Special another one of those 30 minute toy commercials but more importantly this chapter reveals Morgan's secret subterfuge of Eleanor, performing a ritual that would give her control over the Mutants, or so she thought, what is mostly did was when the Mutants panicked when they saw they were no match for the EPF's weapons was all of them who participated in this ritual reverted to pure animal instincts in their terror many of them were roaming New York acting like wild animals until they were killed or the effect wore off, as the Anglerfish who attacked Little Mac was a Mutant of the Sea and thus wasn't a Mutant Eleanor had been nurturing, Eleanor would have vehemently disapproved of the Anglerfish's choice to deliberately act like a wild animal to terrorize her prey Eleanor would say doing that debases a Mutant's dignity 'Act like an animal, you're inviting the humans to treat you like an animal' which is why it is important Bacon Bit only saw part of the ritual and didn't participate in it, so she didn't become 'Beast Minded'
