Chapter 1
Karol was looking over some jobs to undertake as the leader of brave Vesperia . He sunk into the chair he was siting . He scratched his face since Yuri was supposed to be helping chose thier next job . He noticed a person from another region entered thier guild hall . He noticed he was wearing a crown . He sat up in his comfortable chair . " Welcome to brave Vesperia what do you need help with " he asked . He noticed the person was silent as thier guards entered the office . He felt his face being slammed into the table . " What do you want " he said .
Count waltz laughed " it's simple your guild helped a girl with magic named polka and stopped me from marrying her tell me where she is and you won't be killed " he said as Karol set back in the chair . He nodded to a guard " have some mineral beer and make your choice guild leader of brave Vesperia " he said . He was shocked as Karol tossed the beer in his face . he went near his face as the guard slammed him into the table again . " tell me where she is " he said as blood dripped down Karol face . He gave a sign for the guards to let Karol up as he sat back in the chair and tossed some gold on the desk . " tell me where she is " he demanded slamming his hands on Karol's desk . He nodded as the guard forced Karol to drink the mineral beer . " tell me where she is or I will make sure you get corrupted with magic " he said as Karol was forced to swallow the beer .
Karol glared at count waltz and sighed " magic illness you mean " he said standing up . He slapped count waltz and noticed Yuri returned and had estelle returned . He crossed his arms " I will not tell you were polka is because a friend is trying to cure her using blastia becaue sometimes people have magic and it's not fatal " he said taking a sip of the beer . " now get the hell out " he said as count waltz left with his guards before a fight broke out . He fell to his knees and nodded thanks as Estelle healed him . He got up and took a seat back at his desk .
Yuri crossed his arms " let's go and check on polka and Rita " he said . He noticed a guard of count waltz listening . He rolled his eyes . " Wow guild leader you slapped a count that's going to come back to bite us " he said . He noticed Karol nodded as Beat and retto entered . " just visited polka right how is she " he asked as both looked to Karol who still had a few scratches after being healed . " don't worry about Karol , Beat and Retto let's head to the inn that will visit her in the morning " he said as they left the gulid leaving Karol and Estelle alone .
Karol sighed " Count Waltz it's been a year since the two of us met polka and her friends when me and you were kidnapped Estelle " he said . He kissed her cheek and took a breath . " your magic saved our butt till we made it back home and I am glad polka and her friends came with us after we stopped her wedding to count waltz " he said taking a sip of the beer . " anyway get some rest Estelle I have some paper work to go over and report to fortune market since we have a few joint ventures " he said as she kissed his cheek before leaving .
