The Sorcerer Hero: Deku

Chapter forty-one: The hunt for friends, part four

The fourth New World was the easiest world yet for the forces of Nazarick to take over.

It was basically like Izuku's world, but none of the humans there had superpowers and the level of technology was less advanced. Really, the best native forces in the Nonsensical Ninja World were the ninjas at the Ninja Manor, and that was because Nishikienrai and Kurama, who had both been transported to that world when they logged out of YGGDRASIL for the last time, had trained those ninjas, refining their skills and prowess.

...And as a result, secure the loyalty of the forces of the Ninja Manor for the Great Tomb of Nazarick.

Similarly with Izuku's world, Ainz did not want this world, especially its Japan, to become like the world he and his guild mates used to live in before they were transported to other worlds. He did not want this world's Japan to become like the hellish Japan he had come from originally. To the delight of the Sorcerer King, Nishikienrai and Kurama had similar feelings and had worked on gaining a big enough foothold to prevent that.

Right now, Ainz and all of the gathered members of the members of his guild were using a private meeting room in an old HPSC building in Izuku's world that has been going unused ever since Ainz had taken over Izuku's world and installed Dabi as a public face for the world ruler position. "Dabi needed to come back and settle issues here anyway," Ainz said, "So it's best to let him take care of all of that business."

"So this is the second world you've added to the list of what our guild owns," Nishikienrai remarked, "And what's more it's where you found our fellow guild mate Peroronchino."

"The powers of this world that the humans living here all clamor around..." Ulbert said, "...these 'quirks'... they apparently can only be born naturally by humans, but scientific research into quirks led to the creation of monsters called 'Nomu' that can use quirks." Gesturing to Ainz, Ulbert went on, "And you gained spells that work in conjunction with the powers of this world."

Nodding once, Ainz said, "It led to the cultivation of resources here that helped paved my way to taking over this world."

"And we got four worlds under our belts now," Peroronchino pointed out, "And five of us here. Who's to say how many of our old friends we'll find as we go after the worlds following the fourth one?"

Kurama held a Quirk Jewel that Ainz took out and passed around so that the other Supreme Beings can see it. "...You even found a way to use quirks to generate ingredients and materials that were back in YGGDRASIL, allowing us to craft the finest of items once more." Kurama handed the Quirk Jewel back to Ainz. "These quirks... they're simply amazing. A shame only humans can gain them under normal circumstances."

"Indeed, Kurama," Ainz said, "In fact, my subordinate Dabi and his followers all have quirks."

"And people in this world with quirks can become something called a pro hero," Ulbert remarked, "Huh, being a hero. I bet that Touch Me would be first in line to become a pro hero if he could."

"Are only humans of this world capable of having quirks," Nishikienrai began, "Or can your new quirk related spells grant quirks to humans from the other worlds our guild now owns?"

"I have been meaning to test that theory with the humans in the world that the Great Tomb of Nazarick had been sent to," Ainz began, "But I haven't had the time. We must also test that on some humans from the world that you and Kurama were sent to, as well as humans from the world that Ulbert was sent to." A few more points were covered, but within short order, the meeting ended and the Supreme Beings left the meeting room, although Ainz put on his disguise for Izuku's world on first so no-one he doesn't trust sees his true self.

...

Ainz and his guild mates returned to Nazarick, where they were warmly received by the denizens who they and their other guild mates had created. The other combat maids (both kinds) were very jealous of how Narberal and Kinoko were the first among their number to see their creators once more. But then again, how could they help it? This is the Supreme Beings that they were talking about here, after all.

The denizens would love nothing more than to have all of their lords back.

The denizens of Nazarick were quite busy now that more of their lords had returned to the Great Tomb. One such example saw Yuri and Solution to go see how Demiurge was working with Demon Aura, a pink haired demon girl who Lord Ulbert had gained as a subordinate in the world that he had been sent to. When they got to a torture room where Demon Aura was learning torture techniques as per Demiurge's order, they saw Demon Aura standing outside of the room talking to Elven Aura, who had brought Mare along.

"I was informed by Sir Demiurge who got it from Lord Ulbert that I'm to ignore whatever instruction on torture you have to offer, elf with the same name as me," Demon Aura said to Elven Aura.

"But my ultimate torture technique is the pinnacle of torture techniques!" Elven Aura declared, "As per the word of Lady Bukubukuchagama! How can you not be interested in learning it?"

"It's not a matter of me being interested," Demon Aura replied, "It's a matter of Sir Demiurge and Lord Ulbert forbidding it."

Elven Aura was about to speak up, but Yuri called out, "Are we interrupting anything?"

The two Aura and one Mare turned to see Yuri and Solution. "Oh, girls," Elven Aura began, "I was just trying to convince the demon girl here who has the same name as me to-"

"-Leave her alone, Elven Aura," a male voice called out, making everyone turn to see Ulbert come walking up, Demiurge following along behind him. The servants of the Supreme Beings all bowed their heads to the goat man demon, Demon Aura especially as he was why she's alive again. "I got it from my fellows what all you have done to torture humans," Ulbert said, "I don't need Demon Aura to gain a mind like yours."

"How have you been, Lord Ulbert?" Yuri asked.

Shrugging, Ulbert said, "It would appear that humans from the worlds that my peers and I have taken over can all receive quirks. We've gotten confirmation that Momonga's quirk related spells all work on humans from the world that Nazarick appeared in, the humans in the world I was sent to, and the humans in the world that Nishikienrai and Kurama were sent to. This discovery will go a long way to raising Nazarick's power."

"Is there any other news?" Solution asked.

"From the Quirk World, yes," Ulbert replied, "It would appear that my hunch about the humanoid lizard person Spinner turned out to be true. Also, this one pro hero in the world Peroronchino was sent to, this Ryukyu lady, has proven invaluable to Nazarick efforts in generating more dragon hide to use as crafting material, although others with copies of Ryukyu's power are being used to farm the dragon hide. Kurama also likes Ryukyu as a person."

"Lord Kurama likes a human?" Mare asked.

"As a person like I said," Ulbert said, "She does work in her world that's similar to work that Kurama has done. In that sense, Kurama and Ryukyu have the same goal, and he respects her for it. There's no romantic interest there, I assure you. Now dark elf twins, run along. Demiurge tells me he has a new lesson in store for Demon Aura, and I'm eager to hear what the results will be."

"It would never do if we disappoint you, Lord Ulbert," Demiurge remarked, gesturing for Demon Aura to follow him into the 'classroom'. Ulbert turned around and left, letting out a chuckle as he heard the scream of a human prisoner from within the room Demiurge and Demon Aura were both in.

After the Supreme Beings had time to rest after taking over the Nonsensical Ninja World, Ainz called the others to a meeting to discuss the fifth New World that had made itself available via his Portal to Nazarick spell. "Feudal World, huh?" Peroronchino asked.

Ainz nodded in the affirmative. "I have no idea what to expect, aside from how the world ought to have a low level of technology given that Feudal is in the world's name," Ainz said, "It might be rather interesting for us to add to our list of conquests a world with a tech level comparable to the world that Nazarick was sent to."

"Chances are it'll be even easier to take over than the world Kurama and I had been sent to," said Nishikienrai.

"Oh, that reminds me," Ulbert began, "How are experiments going to raise the tech level of the Nonsensical Ninja World by importing tech from the Quirk World?"

"They are moving along surprisingly well," Ainz replied. Among the four worlds that the Great Tomb of Nazarick has taken over, Quirk World had the highest level of technology. Ainz wanted to see if the tech levels of the other worlds can be raised by importing tech to them from Quirk World. The Nonsensical Ninja World has seen the most success thus far, but the first New World as well as the Central Lands World are moving along there slowly but surely.

Ainz was wanting to improve the worlds he and his friends own in any way, and if that means having the most technologically advanced one share its tech with the less technologically advanced ones, then so be it. But Ainz had a feeling that Feudal World was going to have one of the lowest levels of tech among the worlds Ainz and his friends owned to date. He also couldn't help but feel that things were going to be... interesting... when he and his friends work to take over Feudal World.

Clapping his hands together, Kurama said, "Well now, I'm ready when everyone else is."

"Mmm," Ainz began, "We'll run recon first, figure out exactly what all we're going to be dealing with here. After that, we return here to plan accordingly. Once that's taken care of, we move on in for the kill." The other Supreme Beings all let out cheers as they all anticipated the taking of another world to add to their growing collection.

...

(Feudal era Japan)

Kagome was not able to believe it.

Naraku and all of his fellows were defeated, vanquished to the last. What's more is that they were all slain by the same warrior, a thrill seeking man of some unknown species who settled down after all of the evil forces in Feudal Japan had been vanquished. That man, the very epitome of 'samurai warrior', then installed himself as ruler of Japan, but Kagome had to admit that he was an infinitely better deal than Naraku.

Kagome also got it that all of the shards of the Shikon Jewel had been found, the remaining ones, still unpurified, under the ownership of the new ruler of Feudal Japan. This is where Kagome, with Inuyasha, Miroku, Sango, Kirara, and Shippo, finds herself as she and her friends were now in a large capital city in Feudal Japan, where the thrill seeking samurai warrior had settled down and was now trying to lead as a good and understanding man.

"Will he even let us see the Shikon Jewel shards he got from Naraku?" Sango asked as she and the others walked the streets of the capital city.

"Will we even be allowed in to see the man?" Inuyasha asked.

Kagome let out a troubled sigh. "We have to hope that we can convince his people that we can help with the reforging of the Shikon Jewel."

"And if and when the Shikon Jewel is wholly back together," Miroku began, "What will be done with it? I can't imagine that the new lord will be willing to part with such a treasure."

"Maybe we can try stealing it from him when no-one is looking?" Sango suggested.

"Okay, even I wouldn't suggest trying to slight that guy in any way," Inuyasha said, "And I'm pretty sure that stealing from him, even if it's the Shikon Jewel, would be slighting him."

Sighing, Kagome said, "We ought to just try reasoning with him. Maybe me showing him I can purify corrupted shards of the Shikon Jewel can be used to convince him to let us have at least some use of the Shikon Jewel when it's restored." The others in Kagome's group all agreed with her, the lot of them all hoping they can reason with the man who did away with Naraku for good.

Given that it was Naraku who had been done away with for good by the man, he's bound to be by far a vastly greater threat that Kagome and her friends do NOT want to deal with.

In the palace in the capital city, Warrior Takemikazuchi was seated before Kagome's group as they all bowed respectfully to him. They had praised him first for how he had done away with Naraku for good, although it was a bit tricky even for Warrior Takemikazuchi. Sure, by no means could Naraku have done anything period to the tall and strong samurai, but at the same time Naraku's various ways of being kept from being killed saved him from a permanent end by Warrior Takemikazuchi.

After a seventh 'killing' of Naraku, Warrior Takemikazuchi got so fed up with trying to put Naraku down for good that he decided to use a magic ring he still had on hand when he logged out of YGGDRASIL for the last time and then found himself transported to this world. It was a magic ring that let him use the Wish spell a few times without any cost to him. He hoped like hell his wish to wipe Naraku from existence entirely would be enough to FINALLY put him down for good.

Luckily for Warrior Takemikazuchi, it worked. Naraku was now wholly wiped out to the point he can never return again. He was no threat, at least to Warrior Takemikazuchi, but hot damn was dealing with Naraku annoying. With Naraku now gone, Warrior Takemikazuchi was able go get to enjoying the feudal era Japan he had been transported to when he logged out of YGGDRASIL for the last time. A period of Japan's history that spoke well to his samurai heart, he planned to live it up here.

He had even been able to take over the country and install himself as shogun. His honest, efficient ideals had helped to endear him to the people of Feudal Japan, and the warrior caste benefited from a leader who was basically one of them. It was in this state for Feudal Japan in which Kagome and her friends found themselves bowing respectfully to Warrior Takemikazuchi. After they had raised their heads, they saw Warrior Takemikazuchi was holding a hand to his chin as he regarded them.

"You, girl," Warrior Takemikazuchi began as he gestured to Kagome, "Your manner of outfit is very interesting. I've not seen such garb worn by anyone else in this land." Out of everyone in Kagome's group, it was Kagome herself who first got Warrior Takemikazuchi's attention. They were all in Feudal Japan, and Kagome was wearing a school girl uniform from the very late twentieth century to very early twenty-first century. Kagome was instantly worried that this may lead to some trouble.

Warrior Takemikazuchi may be a bit easy to fool, at least compared to some of his old guild mates back in the heyday of YGGDRASIL, but this matter of Kagome wearing a more modern school girl uniform in feudal era Japan was NOT going to be something that Kagome and her friends would be able to bluff on. Warrior Takemikazuchi, given the world that he had originally came from, would be able to recognize modern stuff from Japan when he saw it. He was going to be wanting answers.

As Sango was preparing to come up with a story to try to distract Warrior Takemikazuchi, Shippo spoke up and said, "I got it that it's special garb worn only by priestesses capable of purifying corrupted Shikon Jewel shards. I'm not sure how it's made, though. Must be a priestess secret."

Warrior Takemikazuchi was still suspicious, but Shippo mentioning 'purifying corrupted Shikon Jewel shards' caught his attention. So he decided to humor the group for now. "...I will respect the need for the priestesses to keep their secrets," Warrior Takemikazuchi began, "But I will still be wanting an explanation later, in a private setting to help preserve secrets. But we can discuss that stuff later. Now, what's this about purifying corrupted Shikon Jewel shards?"

Kagome and her friends all relaxed, glad that Shippo's quick thinking had at least bought them some time. Miroku was about to speak up, but a manor staff member came running in, clearly in a panic. "Lord Warrior Takemikazuchi!" the servant exclaimed, "A large skeleton wearing black armor and carrying a large shield and wavy bladed sword is at the outer edge of the city! Everyone is fleeing from it, but some guards have already been slain!"

Immediately, Warrior Takemikazuchi stood up from his seat. "...Bring warriors to deal with the slain guards, they may try getting up again," Warrior Takemikazuchi said, "The monster who killed them reminds me of others I've seen before, who can reanimate those it kills as undead helpers."

"It can raise from the dead those it kills?!" Sango exclaimed, "What sort of demon is it?!"

"It is by no means any sort of demon or devil or what have you," Warrior Takemikazuchi explained, "It is pure undead." Readying the sword he had, Warrior Takemikazuchi said, "And it shall be mine to put back into the grave."

...

Near the edge of the capital city, a Death Knight was on a rampage as people fled from its area. Only guards and other fighters tried to deal with it, but they've not been able to see any success. In fact, several slain guards rose as zombies and tried attacking their former, still living allies. Putting those raised guards back to rest were the only kills scored by the living.

A zombie guard tried attacking a living guard, but a Wind Scar from Inuyasha slew the undead as Warrior Takemikazuchi rushed in to fight the Death Knight head on. The rest of Kagome's group helped to deal with the raised guards, putting them back to rest as Warrior Takemikazuchi killed the Death Knight in two hits. Would have been one, but the Death Knight has an ability that makes it so it requires two hits minimum to be killed normally.

"Identify those who have died," Warrior Takemikazuchi called out, "Write up a list of their names."

"The... the guards who were raised from the dead..." Kagome said, "Will... will those they attacked be turned as well?"

"They shouldn't be, the undead guards were far too weak to turn the living," Warrior Takemikazuchi replied, "Even if they weren't, only living beings killed by undead can in turn become undead. Merely being attacked by an undead isn't enough to turn the living, those who survive being attacked ought to be fine. But if you have means of purifying others, feel free to use said means on those who had survived attacks from the undead."

As Kagome went about checking everyone who survived and was attacked by undead, Inuyasha looked to Warrior Takemikazuchi. "...You looked like you were familiar with the undead warrior in the black armor."

"I've encountered that specific type of undead before," Warrior Takemikazuchi said, "I get the feeling that either some past enemies of mine had shown up, or some old friends of mine who aren't aware that I'm here had shown up."

"I can understand enemies of yours," Inuyasha said, "But old friends of yours?"

"If it's old friends of mine," Warrior Takemikazuchi said, "Then like I said they aren't aware that I am here. Hopefully it is just old friends of mine and we can sort things out." Warrior Takemikazuchi was really hoping that it could be some old guild mates of his from YGGDRASIL who had brought the Death Knight to the capital city; he wouldn't mind getting to party it up with them again, even with the fact that their Death Knight (if it really IS their Death Knight) had caused some damage.

Ainz and his fellow Supreme Beings that were with him were now aware that this world is the one that Warrior Takemikazuchi had been sent to.

After hearing rumors of the large warrior man who took over Japan, Ainz and his friends, making use of magic to cover themselves, snooped about and got evidence that Warrior Takemikazuchi was in this world. "Ah, it doesn't surprise me in the least that he had been sent to this world," said Nishikienrai, a hint of amused fondness in his tone, "This feudal Japanese setting ought make him feel right at home."

"Hopefully he won't be too mad that we technically killed some of his citizens," Peroronchino said.

Folding his arms over his chest, Kurama remarked, "Maybe if we explain ourselves, he won't be too upset with what the Death Knight did."

Turning to look at Ainz, Ulbert said, "Well, Momonga? What do you think?"

The Sorcerer King gave a single nod and a hum. "We first send a peaceful envoy to explain that we seek a peaceful discussion."

...

The citizenry of the capital city insisted on burning the remains of those killed by the undead, even though Warrior Takemikazuchi had the means to bring them all back to life as his wishing ring still had a few charges left. It had to be a wish used to return those killed back to life as living beings; Warrior Takemikazuchi saw that he had a few Wands of Resurrection in his inventory for some odd reason, but the dead who were turned can't be returned to true life, and all those who died had been turned before being killed again.

Warrior Takemikazuchi had some scouts go out to search for where the Death Knight could have come from. "Although battle is indeed glorious," Warrior Takemikazuchi said to the scouts before he sent them out, "By no means are you to engage them in combat. If you find any, turn around and come right back here, we'll drum up a force and go march out to exterminate the undead."

The scouts were sent out scarcely an hour ago, so for now all that Kagome and her group could do was stick around and try to convince Warrior Takemikazuchi to let them work with his Shikon Jewel shards. In the time Warrior Takemikazuchi was working with the scouts, Sango gave to Kagome a spare copy of her non-battle outfit. "I think we can trick Lord Warrior Takemikazuchi into thinking that he was simply seeing things when he questioned your weird outfit," Sango said as Kagome did a slow turn in the copy of Sango's non-battle outfit.

"Are you sure that trying to pull the wool over Lord Warrior Takemikazuchi's eyes is a good idea?" asked Inuyasha as he arched a wry eyebrow at Sango's plan.

Sango would have gone on, but she was cut off when a servant girl at the capital manor came in. "Lord Warrior Takemikazuchi is ready to see your group," said the servant.

Kagome and her group all nodded before they followed the servant to the audience room where they all knelt before Warrior Takemikazuchi. He was about to say something, but stopped short as he pointed at Kagome. "Did she change her outfit?" Warrior Takemikazuchi asked Kagome's group as a whole.

"No, Lord Warrior Takemikazuchi," Sango said, "She and I have been wearing identical outfits this entire time. It must have been a trick of the light that had made you think that Kagome was wearing a different outfit than me."

"One of the cooks in the kitchens say that Lord Warrior Takemikazuchi is rather fond of sake," the servant girl said, "Maybe he saw things differently due to drinking too much?"

Sighing, Warrior Takemikazuchi said, "Yeah, yeah that does make sense. I guess that I really was just seeing things."

"It worked?!" Inuyasha thought, exclaiming the words in his mind.

Gesturing to Kagome's group, Warrior Takemikazuchi said, "Now then, what is it that your party wishes to discuss with me?"

Kagome was about to speak up, but was cut off when one of the scouts from earlier came running back into the audience room. "Lord Warrior Takemikazuchi!" the scout exclaimed, "Big trouble!"

Warrior Takemikazuchi instantly got up to his feet, as did Kagome's group. "What's the situation?" Warrior Takemikazuchi asked.

"An army that's a mix of undead and demons are right outside the city!" the scout said, alarming everyone in Kagome's group, "Their leaders are demanding an audience, claiming that they want to engage in peace talks!"

"The leaders of the army claim they want peace talks," Miroku said, his tone and expression conveying suspicion, "And yet the army is composed of undead and demons."

"And undead demons," Sango said.

"...Undeamons," Shippo remarked, clearly worried.

Turning to look at the others, Inuyasha said, "No-one said anything about there being any undead demons. There's undead and there's demons, but no undead demons."

Sighing, Warrior Takemikazuchi said, "Hope like hell that I'm sober enough to deal with this." Warrior Takemikazuchi then called for all non-combat persons in the city to retreat to the opposite end of the city from the army, then all combatants to come with him. He'll see if the proposed peace talks have some degree of merit to them, but if not then he wants to be the first one to score a kill on the enemy forces.

Warrior Takemikazuchi has made himself to be as much of the epitome of being a samurai warrior as he could manage.

Outside of the capital city, Dabi, Spinner, and Toga all waited behind Demiurge who was leading the army that the Supreme Beings had assembled should peace talks fail. Demon Aura was standing next to Demiurge on his left. "Aww, I wish that we could have brought those Kaede and Shinobu girls," said Toga, "They were really sweet."

"I think they would have freaked had they been here to see the army behind us," Spinner remarked dryly, "Although maybe we can bring them here for visits after our bosses take over this world."

Demon Aura looked ahead and saw the gates leading into the capital city open up. "It seems that the humans got the idea, Sir Demiurge," remarked the Guillotine.

"After we accept their surrender," Demiurge began, "We ought to begin laying down the law as far as Nazarick is con- No way! It cannot be!"

Demon Aura, as well as Dabi, Spinner, and Toga, all looked ahead and saw a single giant of a samurai come marching out, with a group of adventurers behind him. "Wow, that man is big," Toga remarked, "I guess he's the leader of the others?"

"That's Lord Warrior Takemikazuchi!" Demiurge exclaimed.

Dabi perked up at that. "Another one of Lord Ainz's fellows?"

"Indeed," Demiurge said as Warrior Takemikazuchi picked up the pace upon seeing and recognizing Demiurge, "Lord Warrior Takemikazuchi is the Supreme Being who had created Cocytus."

"He's the one who created that big ol' icy bug dude?" Spinner said.

Before Demiurge could explain, Warrior Takemikazuchi reached him and the others. "No way, man," Warrior Takemikazuchi said as he looked at Demiurge, "You look a LOT like the Archdevil that my good friend Ulbert Alain Odle made."

"That's because I actually am Demiurge, Lord Warrior Takemikazuchi," Demiurge replied as he knelt down before Warrior Takemikazuchi. Getting the idea, Demon Aura, Dabi, Spinner, and Toga all did the same as Demiurge.

"What are you doing here?" Warrior Takemikazuchi asked.

"The other Supreme Beings, your old guild mates and friends, are searching the various worlds that are made available to them to find all forty-one of your exalted number," Demiurge said, "Five have banded together so far, and you will make six."

"There's forty-one of them?" Toga muttered under her breath, looking a bit surprised.

Warrior Takemikazuchi hummed as he pondered a bit. "Alright, let my old friends know that I will be ready to receive them once a banquet is ready! I'd be a sorry host if I didn't have a meal ready and waiting for old friends coming to see me! I bet they're hungry too!"

"You are most kind, Lord Warrior Takemikazuchi," Demiurge replied before sorting out a few details with Warrior Takemikazuchi to make sure everything was straightened out. Demiurge then went on ahead and used the Message spell to inform Ainz that Warrior Takemikazuchi was found and that he's getting a banquet meal ready for him and the other gathered Supreme Beings first.

Ainz could tell that it was just like Warrior Takemikazuchi to do that. He was glad to have found another of his old friends.

END, CHAPTER FORTY-ONE

Author's notes;

This chapter sees the Nonsensical Ninja World taken over in next to flat, but then again Shinobu and her friends live in a world that, outside of Shinobu's home turf, is modern day slice of life comedy, so what chance did they really have in the first place?

The next New World to make itself available to Ainz and his friends is the feudal Japanese setting of Inuyasha, where they find Nazarick's resident samurai, Warrior Takemikazuchi. After making Naraku look like an utter joke because Supreme Being, Warrior Takemikazuchi soon speaks with Kagome's group who want the Shikon Jewel shards he got after basically saving everyone.

But then a Death Knight shows up, and after that's dealt with a new problem emerges, but it turns out to be no problem at all for Warrior Takemikazuchi. The next chapter will see another one of the Supreme Beings return to the denizens of Nazarick.
