SOD: I'm just saying now, I am not making Relon OP this early in the story. If it seems like that, don't worry. He won't be some character that can fight all of class VII on his own when we get to the main story. Just want to put that out there. Although the idea is tempting...

Andrew: SOOOOOOD, where arrrrrreeeee yooooouuu?

*Bark Bark Bark*

*Bang Bang*

Andrew: Lead the way Fidoooooo!

SOD: And back to hiding I go. Those birds need to flap their damn wings faster and get here already! Enjoy the story and comment your thoughts!

P.S. Isn't there some saying along the lines of a review a chapter keeps the author up past hours or something? I legit don't know lol.

P.S.S. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR 10 FAVS AND 13 FOLLOWERS! THIS STORY HAS BEEN OUT FOR EXACTLY A WEEK SO TREMENDOUSLY THANK EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!

I wonder what the sheathe will look like? Maybe a simple black color. I doubt I'll get to have a design of my own right from the start. Mister never bothered to get one since I never fought. Whatever I get, I'll be grateful since Lord Arseid is helping me out.

Feeling the faintest of movement at his hip, he looks down at his sword to spot the tinniest of a flicker point to his right. Glancing up, he notices Laura eyeing him.

What's with her?

"Is something wrong?" His words seeming to snap the girl from whatever thoughts.

"Oh, forgive me. I was determining your build."

"My... build?"

"Indeed. Every person has a type of build. It's what makes them distinct from one another. Like someone wielding a sledgehammer, they tend to have more of an upper body build. Things like that."

"Oh. I guess I'm on the slim side..." Relon mutters eyeing his physique.

"You would think so but the way you clashed with father made it seem like you have more physical strength than it appears."

"Maybe it was because of my partner. I feel strong when using it..." A slight rattle of appreciation is the weapon's response.

"As any warrior would wielding their weapon." Victor intervenes.

"A weapon is but an extension of one's self. Never forget that for it is a crucial basic when learning the ways of not just the sword but any weapon."

"Yes, sir..."

An extension of one's self... The link between my partner and I... Are those similar in a sense? Thinking back to yesterday, we could read each other's actions perfectly.

"We're here."

Looking at the front of a building, it reads 'Legram's general store and weaponry.'

Heading inside, the first thing Relon notes is the building isn't large at all. Following Victor, they stop at the weapon portion. Both he and the man behind the counter exchange a brief talk before Victor motions for Relon.

Stepping forward, he hands the man his sword as they watch the worker briefly inspect it before going into the back. Coming out, he hold the sword in a completely black sheathe.

I guess wishes do come true.

"Here you go, boss." Taking the sword and sheathe, Relon places it back in its normal spot.

"Thank you, sir."

It's heavier than I expected...

"I noticed at the end of the handle that there is what seems like a small insert for maybe another sword or something. Do you have the other on you?"

"Another... sword?" Inspecting the location, he sees the merchant's words hold true.

How have I never noticed that before? Looks like I'd just have to insert and spin to lock whatever in place. Wait, does that mean there's a pair to my partner? Is it meant to be like a double sabre?

Noticing Relon in deep thought, Victor takes over. After paying, which Victor insisted on doing, they head outside.

"It seems the more time we spend on that sword of yours, the more questions we get."

You don't know the half of it. I still haven't told them of what happened in my subconscious. I still find it bizarre though I am happy to feel warm again. Nameless mentioned it being warm most of the time. Hmm. I guess Nameless is what I can refer to him. I looked like a guy at least. Next time, I'll be sure to ask him or it.

"Relon?" Victor calls snapping the boy from his thoughts.

"Oh, I'm sorry for causing so much trouble. And thank you again." He bows.

"Think nothing if it. This is in a way fun. There's so many things we can learn, I haven't a clue as for where to start." Victor brushes it off. "But now you look more like a swordsman. What do you think, Laura?"

"It definitely holds a better image compared to having a cloth so I have to agree, father."

Now outside, the sword carefully rises.

"I'm right here..." Relon assists steadying it earning odd looks from the two. "It's never favored being hidden as it can't see. That's why when it had a cloth, it could somewhat sense me and see where it was going. With the sheathe, it's technically blind until I remove it." Relon explains placing the sword back on his hip.

"Interesting. The more you describe the aspects of you and your sword, the more work we have ahead of us." Victor mutters.

"So what is our plan of action now?" Laura asks.

"Hm? Let's see... It's still early before noon arrives. What say you two enjoy yourselves for a while. I have some business to attend to back at the manor."

"You just forgot again, didn't you father?"

"I don't know what you're referring to. Anyway, have fun you two and don't forget what I said Relon." His parting words earning a slight blush from Laura and a sigh from Relon.

"F-Father!" She sighs glancing to Relon who straightens himself. "Come, I'll give you a tour of Legram." She begins walking.

"I'm sure he just means well."

She stops to look behind at Relon who walks past her.

"From what I can tell, fathers only tease their children because they care."

"From what you can tell? But isn't..." She pauses catching herself. That man is your father, no?" She catches back up.

"No. He just took me in when I was an infant."

"So you don't see him as such?"

"How can I if I can never understand the meaning of fatherhood?"

"So you really know nothing about your family? Nothing at all?" Her tone becoming saddened.

"No. I never knew them. The closest thing I can describe as family is my partner. It's one of the reasons I want to grow strong. So that someday I'll find them. I know they're out there... somewhere."

"How can you tell?"

"They left a note telling of who I was and my partner. The note is in my belongings back at the manor if you want to see."

"Later. Let's just get you acquainted with the townsfolk." With a nod, they set out. Laura taking Relon around the Lakeside town introducing him to dozens of people.

By noon, they are walking back to the manor.

"That was fun. It was nice of the bakery to give us a fresh batch of banana bread in celebration of your stay." He nods in agreement chomping on the last portion of bread only to stop glancing to his left.

Feeling her companion no longer at her side, Laura pauses to see what the issue is.

"Laura, what's this place?" He questions barely audible.

"That's the bracer guild. Father describes them as a non-governmental organization acting to keep the peace and protect civilians wherever its numerous and continent-spanning branches reach."

"Hm..."

"Is something wrong?" She asks walking up next to him.

Looking back at her, it finally hits.

"We never properly introduced ourselves. The adults kinda off-handedly did it for us."

"You're right. Ahem. My name is Laura S. Arseid. Daughter of Viscount Arseid. A pleasure to be training with you." She gives a small bow.

"My name is Relon Lucinance. And this is my partner." It floats next to him. "I'm in your care." Both boy back, the two looking to each other before bursting into laughter.

"So that's the real you." She smiles, her words ceasing the boy's laughter. "The reserved and timid side is just an act, isn't it?" Her words surprising him. "You started out that way earlier but as the day went on, you started opening up." A smile forms on Relon.

"I guess I did. Sorry if I was a nuisance before."

"You weren't. The way you're speaking now reminds me of when you were fighting yesterday; relaxed yet confident."

"... You think so." He hesitates, heat rising to his cheeks.

"I do. Now that that is taken care of, shall we head back?"

"Yeah."

With that, they head off soon beginning the ascension up the staircase for Relon to glance to his left. His attention drawn to what lies beyond the Lake.

The castle... I wouldn't mind going there some time.

"It's Klaus." Looking back, Relon indeed spots Klaus in front of the manor.

"Welcome back, Milady. Master Relon. Lord Arseid awaits at the school."

"Thank you. I shall change and make my way over." Laura says excusing herself.

"I have laid out your uniform, Master Relon."

"Thanks, Klaus." Relon begins to leave.

"It is also good to see you relaxed, young master."

He pauses giving a nervous laugh.

Was it that obvious?

"Weight clothing . And I thought the sheathe was heavy. I can barely move." He mutters walking out towards Victor, Laura, and Klaus.

He's wearing a tan short sleeve shirt with a blue line tracing around the collar and a belt keeping it tucked with blue jeans. Though thin, the fabric makes up for the weight

"Don't let looks fool you, Relon. The Arseid school is renowned throughout Erebonia for a reason." Victor calls.

"So father, shall you and Klaus be sparring against us as per usual?"

"No, Laura. Neither of us will be involved this time."

"What do you... Oh, don't tell me." Relon sighs to himself.

"I shall tell you indeed. Your opponent is each other."

Great.

"Interesting." Laura comments to herself.

"Although you can at the very least take care of your self, your skills at handling a sword are mediocre at best." Victor explains.

"Every swordsman has a style that suits them. And you and your partner are no different. Unique, yes. But still you lack the means to properly wield it. Yesterday during our match, you spent more time alone than you did actually wielding it."

"Here I thought I was finally moving forward..."

"You are, young master. Just not at the pace you were expecting. What my Lord is saying is although your particular style of fighting is unique, should a situation come where you are forced to physically wield your blade, then the result could be lethal. We are simply here to refine your skills." Relon gulps.

"So then, why am I fighting Laura? Not that I have a problem with it? Shouldn't I be practicing swings or having one of you help me in my form?"

"Before we do that, we need to understand what fits for you." Victor answers.

"What fits?"

"What father means by that is what feels the most natural to you. From there, they can help you improve."

"Oh, I get it. Alright, let's give it a go."

A minute later and they're facing off against one another.

"Ah yes, two more things, Relon." Victor calls from the sidelines. "No using of that other style of fighting. If we want to learn what fits for you, then there's no use in conducting this spar if you aren't handling your weapon properly."

"Right..." He unsheathes his blade. "And the other?"

"No fire."

Of course. He mentally sighs. He wants me to be as normal of a swordsman as possible. But wouldn't holding so much back be bad for me considering I'm up against Laura? Looking at her now, she looks so calm yet I can sense something... Is this her aura? It's not like her dad's or Mister's but it's still fierce. To think we're only 10. I'm glad I started my training early. Otherwise I may have never had such an opportunity. If I don't want to rely on my power, then I need to get stronger.

"Fine by me! Ready, partner?" It flickers a tiny flame affirmation.

"Don't hold anything back, Relon." Laura calls.

Easier said than done.

"Same to you."

We're doing this to figure out what feels natural. Everything should feel natural...

Loosening his stance, he faces her head on. One hand up defensively and the sword at his side.

"That is quite am interesting stance, sir."

"Yes."

It's as though he's trying to mix his knowledge of hand-to-hand combat with what little he has on swordsmanship together.

"That is quite the stance." Laura comments.

"Well, at the very least it's natural."

"Relon." Victor calls.

"Yes, sir?"

"Right now, how are you feeling?"

"How am I feeling?" Dismissing his stance, he looks at himself, more so his twitching hands. "I feel... excited?" His answer causing a smirk to form on the man's face.

"Good. That's what I was hoping to hear. Are both combatants ready?" Relon readies himself as does Laura, both gaining a fierce expression.

"Yes!/Yeah!"

"Then... begin!"

Laura dashes forward.

She's fast!

Closing the distance in seconds, she delivers a horizontal strike which Relon blocks. The force sending him off his feet to the edge.

And strong!

Shaking the dizziness, he looks to find Laura rushing once more before jumping, sword above her before crashing downwards. Quickly rolling out of the way, he sees Laura slowly stand back up pointing her sword at him.

Running away will get me nowhere. I need to act before it's too late. Readying once more, he tightens his grip on his sword.

For a moment, neither move awaiting the other's slightest movement. Spotting her heel move, he takes off followed by Laura.

Both meet in the middle clashing their swords. Laura's raw strength pushing Relon back. Seeing an opening, Relon pushes their swords to the side delivering a kick to her shoulder causing her to skid away.

"Not bad!" Laura retorts rushing back in.

Both clash, push away past each other, and head back once more. Laura jumping towards Relon for him to slide across the floor on his knees avoiding the tip of her blade.

Turning on their heel, they dash towards each other. Laura unleashing a low horizontal swing. Seeing this, Relon digs his sword into the ground firmly halting her strike.

"What?!" She attempts to back away.

"Oh." Victor mutters.

Placing a hand on the top of his handle, he rotates his body delivering a kick to her abdomen for Laura to narrowly block shooting her back towards the edge.

"Alright, that actually worked!"

"Don't get too excited yet. The same move won't work twice!" She rushes towards him again.

She's faster than before!

Barely able to block the first it, the second hit loosens his grip on his sword and by the third hit, his sword flies out of his hand behind him.

Not good!

Recovering from her assault, he lunges for his sword as Laura charges once more preparing another strike.

"Turning your back to your opponent isn't wise! Not at all!" Laura roars bringing down her sword.

Got it!

Wasting no time, he turns blocking the strike surprising everyone.

"A reverse grip? It has been ages since I have laid eyes on such a style." Klaus comments.

"But can it prove effective?"

"Alright, time for my assault!" Relon responds pushing off of one knee to Laura's further surprise.

Twirling his sword to the normal grip, he begins with a quick succession of strikes keeping Laura unbalanced before returning to his reverse grip as he dashes past her over and over before jumping and rotating towards her. The blades clashing as now Laura is the one hunkering from the pressure.

Almost there!

"Don't underestimate me!" She roars, a newfound strength blossoming as she pushes Relon off and away.

Both eye the other before rushing once again. This time Laura striking first. Attempting to dodge, Laura appears in his face, blade drawing close to his face. Leaning away, he narrowly avoids the blade's edge to follow it rising up only to feel something press into his chest as he's launched to the edge of the field once more.

"I'm not... done yet!" He shouts with vigor as he spins his blade to a reverse grip preparing to take off.

Eyeing both seeing their panting expressions, both men nod to each other.

"Alright, that's enough. We're ending this at a draw." Both kids snapping from their concentration.

"What?" They both question.

"Keep in mind this wasn't meant to be a full spar. Mostly, just to incorporate what fits best for Relon. That and considering you two are near exhaustion after fighting for not even five minutes, a small break is in order." Victor explains.

"You have a poi- Ouch." He rubs his chest. "Nice feint, Laura. Didn't know you could use kicks either. Definitely effect with those small heels."

"Thank you but if anything, I didn't know you could fight like that with your sword."

"Honestly, neither did I. I just went with what felt natural and everything just... kinda happened. The spin kick using my sword's handle, the reverse grip. Everything." He shrugs.

"Relon, how are you feeling now after your spar with Laura?"

"Definitely exhausted... and odd warmer than before?" He answers somewhat surprised.

"Considering you're not sweating compared to Laura, that may have to do with your fire element as we shall call it." Klaus mentions.

"Relon, try that cinder attack once more."

"Okay." Moving back to the center of the field, he readies himself balling his right hand. After waiting a moment, he looks to said hand.

"Is something wrong?" Laura calls.

"I don't feel anything in my right hand compared to my left." He answers dumbfoundedly.

"Could it be his flames can only be dispersed from his left?" Victor wonders. "Attempt the attack with your left."

"Yes, sir." Switching side, he feels a heat become more noticeable. "Ready!"

"Go!"

Unleashing a side throw, dozens of cinders launch forward colliding with the wall.

"I... I did it..." He mutters in disbelief looking at his hand.

"So, it's as I thought." Victor comments, the three approaching him.

"What do you mean, father?"

"Does it have to do with the fire in me?"

"Yes. I made a hypothesis based off of the comment Klaus gave this morning. Your fire element becomes more potent the warmer you are. To prove this, I had you attempt that cinder attack before your spar with Laura. Before the spar, nothing happened. This due to you having not worked up body heat. So, afterwards you mentioned you felt warm. Upon inspection, you were able to unleash your fire attack. Since you aren't sweating, I can only guess that either the sweat you would accumulate becomes extra body heat or your body simply doesn't sweat easily. In a sense, your increased body heat equals the effectiveness of your flames." Victor concludes.

"Wait then, what if I stay near a fire or in a hot room? Could my flames become more effective that way?"

"Possibly. I do not know. Though we have two years to find out. Now, moving on to the other point of this spar besides having you two come to a sense of each other's strengths. Relon, your style is a diverse one at that. What I mean is near the beginning, you seemed to incorporate both your little knowledge of both martial arts and the sword together. Though you treated this mostly as a neutral stance when neither of you were attacking. It also seemed from said stance that you were dual wielding."

"Dual wielding?"

"Dual wielding, huh? That actually sounds cool."

"Which leads me to my next point. Dual wielding is a style that relies more on speed that power as with a two-handed sword. Dual wielders also tend to use reverse grips with their swords. Both types have their pros and cons but dual wielders lean towards the speedy and evasive types. "

"Speed and evasion? That actually sounds like me. I have some physical power but I mainly rely on my reaction time and evasiveness."

"I can agree considering you were able to meet my technique yesterday. As such, it is just an idea to keep in mind. Your stance practically shouted dual wielder." He chuckles. "But for now, we shall train you in have a proper stance and wield your blade so you don't have it knocked out of your hands so easily. Starting today, you are a practitioner of the Arseid school. Ready yourself!"

"Yes, sir!"

Grueling hours later

"I can't sleep."

After his exhibition match against Laura, Victor left it to Klaus to continue training the pair. Hours later, both were spent. Relon more than Laura.

But in just a day, the three of them had helped him progress leaps and bounds in not only his training but also understanding the fire element within.

Having turned in, he attempted to rest after being so tired, but now here he was wide awake.

After everything, why is it now that I'm not sleepy? Nameless, are you there?

After a moment, nothing. Sighing to himself, he sits up.

"I have what I can only guess to be a spirit inside of me and I can't even contact it when I like yet it can contact me whenever it pleases. Then again, I guess it did help me get over issues with my partner. It mentioned speaking when the time comes. When exactly will that be?"

Getting out of bed, he gets dressed.

"Maybe a night walk will help. I'm still feeling some of my residual heat from earlier." Sensing its owner on the move, his sword lifts from its pillow. "Don't worry. I'm not leaving you behind." Placing his partner at his waist, Relon quietly exits the manor.

Stopping just outside, he takes in the night sky.

"It sure is beautiful." A rattle causes him to look down. "Oh, sorry." Unfastening his sword from its sheathe, it hovers at eye level seeming to stare at the stars. "Better?" A nod is its response.

"Tomorrow is going to be harder than today. But everyday, we'll steadily be getting stronger. I want to know about my past more than anything. Who are my parents? Why was I left in Ashland? How did you, Nameless, and I become bound together? How can I exhibit fire? I have so many questions that need answers, it's killing me." He sighs. "I wonder what Mister is doing...? I hope he's doing alright." His sword simply looking at Relon.

Glancing at his partner, his eyes go past it to what lies in the distance.

"Lohengrin Castle." It turns to look at the far off structure. "I'd love to go there." He whispers to himself.

As if answering his wish, the sword flies down. Placing its handle in his grip.

"What are you- Whoa!" Suddenly, it begins ascending taking Relon with him. "Wait wait wait!" At his command, it halts only a few feet from the ground. Letting go, he falls on his feet, the sword following back down. "Aren't I heavy to try something like that?" It shakes back and forth. "Well, there has to be a safe way of doing something like that..." As he ponders, his sight goes to the groove the blacksmith merchant mentioned earlier. "I got it! Wait here." He disappears back into the manor."

Returning mere moments later, he shows it the cloth it has used over the years.

"Hold still for a moment, okay?" It nods as he thins out the cloth and ties it around the handle's groove.

Testing the firmness, he smiles to himself.

"Alright!" He cheers stepping back to see the sword unsheathed, the long cloth flowing along the night breeze. "Step two, can you lay flat close to the ground?" It nods doing such. "Okay..." Carefully planting one foot on the flat side of the blade and the other on the handle, Relon steadies himself.

Crouching down, he wraps the cloth in a knot around his wrist.

"Okay! So far so good!" He nervously cheers, the sword swaying slightly in agreement.

"Wait, can you even see like this?" A small nod in the form of the sword lifting up and down. "Just where do you see from anyway?" The handle lifting in front of him. "The handle huh? Okay. Lets take it slow and steady."

Gripping the cloth, the sword gently flies down the staircase.

"We're doing it... Okay, time for the real test." Raising higher over the town, Relon looks around taking in the quiet atmosphere "Let's go, partner." He says, the sword taking off.

Gripping the cloth for dear life, Relon steadily opens his eyes looking to see they're flying over the lake.

"We're actually flying! Thanks to the cloth, I can hold on and not fall off! Whoohooooo!"

Feeling the wind rush against his skin, Relon smiles gleefully as they rise before dropping into a nosedive to pull up at the last second.

"Can you go faster, partner?" Answering his question, the tip of the blade comes ablaze propelling them forward at an increased rate.

Within moments, they come up on the castle.

"Let's land at the top." Obeying, the sword angles up once more into a vertical climb before easing to a halt at the top. "We actually did it... That was amazing! And look at this view... You can see all of Legram from here. It looks like a bundle off lights..."

Turning around, he sees a door.

"That must lead into the castle. Should we?" He glances to a nodding sword. "You're just as curious as I am." He unties the cloth from his wrist leaving it on the sword as both enter descending a staircase into a large room. "I read it was beautiful but I guess none of the authors ever visited at night. It looks creepy more than anything. Then again, here we are. Well, this looks pretty empty except for balconies leading back outside." He eyes a tall door. "Let's head ba-

He pauses as he senses something, his sword moving in front of him as two dark energies materialize before them. Out of it comes a body-less suit of armor and what seems like a cannon on wheels.

"Monsters? The guidebook never mentioned the castle housing monsters!" He takes hold of his sword.

Wait, I don't feel afraid. I'm about to fight monsters for the first time and my life is on the line yet... I feel excited. Just like with Laura earlier!

"Alright, partner, time to see just how much today's training helped us. You ready?" A flicker comes in response. "We're not holding anything back! Ablaze!" With a shout, the red flames comes to life on his blade. "You want me? Come get me!" He shouts charging.

Immediately, the cannon monster fires a cannon ball. "Crescent Flame!" Relon shouts unleashing his attack as it careens towards the cannonball slicing it in two causing a small explosion before soaring to the monster slicing it in half resulting in a puff of dark particles as it disappears. "Klaus and Laura were right. Shouting techniques is definitely cool." He grins looking to the lone suit of armor.

Running forward, he ducks a swipe circling to its back as he delivers two slashes to jump over an attempted back fist landing atop the armor. Jamming the blade down where its head would be, it explodes into nothingness. Breathing softly, he stands up releasing his sword, a look of disbelief on his face.

"We did it... Ha... Haha.. Hahahaha! We actually beat our first monsters!" Both twirl dancing in joy to stop on a dime, four more entities appear in front of them. "Looks like we celebrated too soon. And this time they're... floating swords?" He pauses glancing to his partner. "Let's show them who the best sword is!"

All at once, the four swords zoom at them.

Remember Laura and Klaus' teachings! Parry...

Gripping his sword, he parries each and every sword.

And strike!

Slashing the air, another crescent attack soars at the swords turning around taking out one.

"One down!"

Coming back around, the three swords disperse preparing a pincer attack.

"Partner!" Relon calls jumping on his sword which quickly elevates evading the attack. "Try this! Clustering Cinders!" Throwing the attack down, it pelts the swords burning holes through them before they explode into nothingness leaving only one left.

Relon jumps off diving down as the enemy sword shoots upwards toward him.

With my partner, I feel like I can do anything!

"Partner!" At his call, it shoots past him colliding head on with the spirit sword splitting it in two.

Stopping just off the ground, it lays flat like a board just as Relon lands on it.

"Nice job. And thanks for the landing."

Hearing an already familiar swirling sound, he turns around finding a pair of armor spirits and spirit swords.

"Is this endless?" He hops off, his sword returning to his hand. "Wait, what are they...?"

The armor monsters begin to break apart, their bodily parts swirling together forming a bigger monster of armor. The swords fusing together into a larger version of itself taken ahold of by the large armor monstrosity.

"Is that the boss...?" He readies himself, sword coming alit once again.

The spirit boss gives a mighty roar, Relon standing his ground. The creature slams its sword, Relon easily dodging to the side. Seeing an opening he jumps readying a strike but out his peripheral, he rotates his body blocking a swipe of its sword sending him crashing into the wall.

"What's with... everything sending me... into walls...?" He groans getting off the ground. "Okay.. Note to self... Don't get overconfident."

Shaking his head, he looks up to see the monster bringing its arm down like a hammer. Before Relon can get his bearings, his sword drags him out if the way.

Rolling to a stop, Relon gets to his feet.

"Thanks for that." He rushes off delivering a slash to the monster's back. The monster roaring in pain wringing Relon off. "Hey look, the slash went all the way through to the other side. Another like that may do the trick."

The armor howls punching the ground delivering a shockwave, Relon taking to the air.

"Try this!" He throws his hand for a single cinder to shoot forward dying out. "Oh great, I'm out of fuel. Fire? Questions for later. Close range it is." At his command, he jumps off, blade in hand, landing on the ground.

Rushing forward, the monster slowly charges preparing a horizontal cut. Bracing for the impact, Relon anchors himself blocking the attack. The force skidding him to a halt as both sides push for dominance.

Slowly, the armor spirit's blade inches closer to Relon.

"Partner... Ablaze!" He shouts, sword coming to life as with a mighty push, he cuts through the spirit sword.

Taking advantage of the monster's anger, he charges just as it fully turns to him delivering another slash at its hollow legs. Jumping away, he watches it fall to its missing knees releasing a low grunt. Running straight at it, he stabs the armor in the middle of its chest. Stubborn, it slowly begins moving its arms around the child.

"Burn brighter, partner!" Relon shouts, the flame bursting through the slash gaps before it howls in agony exploding in dark particles.

Panting heavily, Relon doesn't stop.

"Partner, get me out of here." Agreeing, they fly back to the top of the castle, Relon falling onto his butt. "Phew, okay... Okay... That was intense." He chuckles. "Let's maybe do again that when we're stronger... and or not alone." The sword nodding in agreement.

Hopping back on, they fly back to Legram. This time, the two flying at a slow pace. Their excitement and energy drained. Giving a glance at the castle, Relon looks back ahead.

To think just one day's worth of training helped so much. I can't wait to see what two years will have on me..

So I only plan to have maybe around 10 chapters before we dive in Cold Steel 1 and I just pre-ordered Cold Steel 4 so... THE HYYYYYYYPPPPEEEEE ISSSSSSS REEEEEEAAAALLLLL! Ahem. That is all. Again, lemme know what y'all thought. I love to know other's inputs. With that thank you and stay safe during these hectic times. #Youareloved
