FieLover: Oh man, I can feel the tension already... Great chapter as always!
Thanks as always! And the tension is only gonna rise tonight!
Dramaticmusic23: You bastard... that's a good as cliffhanger. Ohhh wonder how they gonna get out of trouble. Mean I fell sorry for Laura but not as much Alisa is my favorite old class seven and musse my new class seven character. Well good luck relon you are going to need it.
Forgive me, I don't do cliffhangers often but I felt like being a tease XD. Time to find out too. I've always loved Fie and Musse btw :). Musse fans rise up haha!
Speedkarate: Good chapter keep up good work.
Oh boy Laura just ask good question and looking forward to Claire response.
I've been getting that a lot. Welp, hopefully this won't disappoint!
Dramaticmusic23: Man can't wait for the next chapter. I'm rereading the last chapter again because it was good and I can't wait for the answer.
Laura: what's your relationship?
Claire: thinks to herself (I love him ) why do you ask?
Relon: Awee shit here we go again
Yoooooooo, that hit me right in the feels! And FAX lmao!
...
So, that break was very much needed. Just doing nothing along with chilling on DBFZ and Smite has been super relaxing. I got the next chapter done and I've had this one done but I wanted to add a little Rean x Fie moment so hope you guys and gals are okay with that. I couldn't help myself lol. And if you all haven't noticed, I'm kinda doing a pattern here. Rean and Claire's romantic moment(s) followed by Rean and Fie's. So like at Thors will be the two Class VII students and on the Field Studies where we encounter Claire will be her and Relon's main moments. Of course, the fields studies with Rean and Fie will also be including bonding moments. Just FYI. Enjoy the 6k chapter!
"SHUT UP, NAMELSS, YOU SELFISH JERK!" Relon cries for all to clasp their ears watching the boy as he stomps off.
"Is that normal?"
"Believe it or not, yes." Rean chuckles, all watching as Laura hastens her pace catching up with the embarrassed male.
"Well then, I best catch up. Have a pleasant night, you all." Claire bids walking after the duo.
"Well, we should get going too." Elliot mentions for a ringing noise to sound out.
All eyes go to Rean as he pulls out his ARCUS unit.
"A message?" Alisa wonders for Rean to nod.
"It's from Fie." He says with an eyebrow raised. "I wonder what she could want?" He mutters, oblivious to the look his three companions are exchanging.
"Well, you may as well see what she wants." Elliot pats his shoulder.
"Yes, it could be related to her sleep." Aurelia note.
"Take your time~." Alisa smiles, all three walking into the inn.
"Hey, guys! Wait... a sec..." He lowers his outstretched arm no longer seeing them. "What was that about?"
Shrugging away the effortless thought, he walks over to the free bench next to Null. The cat not bothered by his presence. Clicking a few button, his ARCUS unit sounds out.
"Yo." The female voice of the youngest member of Class VII greets.
"Hey, what's up?"
"Nothing much. We finished up our tasks thanks to Sara so we all hit the hay. Woke up, couldn't sleep, went for a walk hoping to get tired, couldn't. Here I am sitting on a bench." She shrugs.
Hearing her bland explanation, Rean can't help but chuckle.
"What's so funny?"
"Nothing really. Just how you explained it all. It's very you."
"... Ah."
"Wait."
"Hm?"
"You said Instructor Sara helped you out?!"
"Yup."
"But she literally just left!"
"She took control of the train she was on."
"... you're joking."
"Nope. What would normally take hours turned into minutes with Sara behind the wheel." Fie says nonchalantly.
"... Fie."
"Yeah?"
"This isn't the first time Instructor Sara has commandeered a literal train... is it?"
"Nope."
Not an ounce of care. Rean sweatdrops. Major Claire really did call it too.
"So what'd you guys do?" Fie interrupts his thoughts.
"Oh, a lot actually." His answer piquing the young girl's interest.
Retelling their busy day, Fie remains quiet until he's done.
"Sounds like you've been busy compared to us." She quips.
"Yeah." He gives a short chuckle. "What did you guys do?"
"Got to Parm, dealt with the idiots arguing, searched for a lost boy, dealt with the idiots arguing, found said lost boy, dealt with the idiots arguing, ran some errands for a shop finding ingredients..."
"And let me guess, you happen to deal with two idiots arguing?"
"Yeah. How did you know?"
"Just a hunch." He laughs, Fie giving a soft smiling of her own before it falters.
"Rean?"
Hearing the sudden shift in tone, he quickly ceases any sort of positivity he just had.
"Yeah?"
"Be careful tomorrow. I'll try to get Sara to hurry back."
"Thanks." He eases himself. "And please do. It doesn't take an expert to see how worried Relon is about this whole and with the possibility of what can happen. The sooner Instructor Sara comes back, the better our chances are if Senate does show up."
"Senate is a group not to be underestimated." She mutters for his eyes to widen.
"You've heard of them before?"
"Just rumors. But if those rumors were true, then..." At her pause, Rean looks up to the night sky.
"Yeah... I get it. This just means we have to cover each other. Me, Alisa, Elliot, Aurelia, Laura, Relon, and we can't forget about Pippin. Tomorrow, we'll succeed no matter what comes our way."
"Good. That's what I wanted to hear." She smiles for a yawn to come.
"Seems like that second wind finally passed."
"Yeah... Thanks, Rean."
"Hey, I told you didn't I? I'll help you however I can. Get some sleep and we'll see each other again on Monday."
"Right. Kick some butt."
"Roger that!"
With a single click, both hang up, Rean getting to his feet before departing with a look of confidence. Standing to her feet, Fie grips her ARCUS unit close to her chest as she gazes at the moon.
I just wish that was all I could tell you...
"Alright..." Rean stretches entering the inn. "I wonder how Relon and the others are? Hopefully nothing has come up. Yeah, I doubt it." He shrugs, his destination; the bath.
Relon
"What is your relationship with Relon?"
Hearing those words, his heart sinks.
Oh... Shit...!
Is it too late to refer to my earlier statement about your increased profanity?
Shut up! This is bad! This is bad! This is bad! This is bad! This is bad! Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit!
I would just like to mention I believe I was correct in said statement.
Scrambling to say something. Anything. Relon can only stare like a statue at the two woman looking at one another.
I wonder what shall be Claire's response.
"Relon is a friend." The Icy Maiden answers with closed eyes. "I thought ill of him when we first me but he is now one of a select few for whom I cherish. That is all." Claire finishes as she releases her hold on the swordswoman's hand.
"Is that so...?"
"Yes. It is. But now I am curious..." Claire notes opening her hot pink eyes. "What is your relationship towards him?"
"Mine?" Laura repeats, somewhat surprised by the question and the fact that she didn't stutter.
I believe Claire has 'hit Laura with the reverse card.'
Oh my gosh...
"Yes, ever since I arrived, I've noticed you been quite reserved keeping an eye on me."
Has she?
Indeed she has.
You knew and didn't say anything why? And don't say it was because you felt like I knew.
...
Nameless...!
"If I didn't know any better, I would guess you were jealous."
Feeling her body tense and her face begin to fluster, Laura catches herself to refocus at Claire, both firm in their postures towards the other.
If I didn't know any better, I'd think they're about to fight...
Over you.
Shut it!
"He is my first rival. We are both students in the way of the sword. We grew up together for two years. We trained together, fought together, ate together, lived together. He is the one for whom I too cherish deeply as he was and still is my first ever friend. To me, he is someone irreplaceable. That, is our relationship.
"Laura..." Relon mutters speechless.
"I see." Claire answers, her face stoic for a small smile to form. "It's relieving knowing someone is looking out for him when I can't."
"Huh?" Both teens respond.
"He is a phenomenal fighter with and without Pippin. That goes without having to mention Nameless' power. But he tends to put himself before others and his godawful luck has a nasty habit of coming out of nowhere. Both traits I'm sure you are aware of."
"That is true..." Laura mutters, a smile slowly creeping onto her face. "It has been my intention since reuniting to look after him. Being raised by the Mr. Yujiro, he can be more than slightly reckless." Laura giggles.
"Haha, you're right about that."
What on Earth is going on.
Simple. A crisis has been momentarily avoided.
I get that, but... why are they dogging on me? I have feelings, you know.
Did you fail to recall Understanding Women 101? It was located in the section titled, A woman's 100 meanings. I believe this was number 47. Making fun of the one they care for is a sign of affection.
...
Relon...?
Not answering, Relon turns around with his head sulking. Taking note of the male leaving, both catch up apologizing in an attempt to lift his spirits the whole way. Reaching the park, they head inside. Releasing his power for a moment, he nods as the three head deeper inside. Throughout the night, the three take note of the geography the park holds. It's advantages and disadvantages. After nearly an hour, the three arrive at the clearing.
"That's everything as far as the park goes." Relon concludes.
"Hmm. It's mostly land divided by cliffs and that river once you step off the path. Though, there is only one path that leads here." Claire thinks aloud. "Neither the fake provincial army nor the park rangers mentioned their reinforcements knowing of this location yet this was their plan to regroup."
"Meaning they somehow found out about this specific area." Laura surmises.
"Right. The question becomes how?"
"What if they're like Senate?" Relon voices, both females turn to see the male looking up.
Following his glance, they stare at the opening in the canopy revealing the night sky.
"You believe they may have an aircraft?"
"That would explain how they were planning to transport all of those goods. Considering a car or truck would be too noticeable though not out of the ordinary. Until they drive for the gate that is."
"Hm... If that is the case, we could have a small group travel from the cliff alongside their reinforcements until they reach here and the those lying in wait could ambush them with the scouting team attacking from their flank." Claire suggests.
"Considering we have a better idea of what to expect now, that sounds like a better plan than before."
"I agree."
"Though, it is quite beautiful tonight." Claire smiles.
"Yes, it truly is."
Glancing at the girls, Relon lowers his eyes to the path ahead.
The chance of Senate becoming involved may be slim but it is still a possibility. And with Senate comes those machines. So far they've been small ones but with how little we know of Senate, there could be even more dangerous mechs out there.
Glancing around the forest, he notices the few animals spying on the trio.
If those mechs come here, both mine and their home will turn into a battlefield. I have to make sure I do everything I can to stop that from happening! Unconsciously, he grips a hand.
"He's deep in thought once again." Laura mutters.
"Yes, it is only natural considering what tomorrow may bring. We simply have to do what we can to minimize the damage. Hm?" Claire tilts her head watching Relon walk off.
"I'll meet you girls at the entrance. I'm going to let the beasts know of tomorrow." He says disappearing past the corner.
Both give a worrisome glance before they nod, the two turning around a heading for their appointed destination.
Coming to a smaller clearing with a grave at its center, Relon stops before it. Taking a seat cross-legged, Relon simply stares at it.
"Sorry, Grandpa." He begins in a mutter. "It looks like trouble will be coming back. I know I'm being presumptuous, but with how famous my bad luck is, the chances of tomorrow escalating to dangerous levels is almost certain. I'll try to end it all as soon as I can so you can return to resting peacefully. I'm sure that's what dad would do anyway..."
After a few moments of prayer, he stands bidding farewell before turning around and heading back to the clearing. Reaching it, he sees both Grunoja and the Elder Beast.
"They'll be here some time in the afternoon. There's also a chance Senate may come."
-Knowing your luck, they most shall appear- Grunoja grunts.
"Tell me something I don't know." Relon mutters crossing his arms.
-Ease yourself, Relon. We know of the dangers Senate present. You needn't worry about us. Focus solely on takin down your enemies before you.- The Great Elder grunts.
"I can't just leave you guys! I have to protect the lives of the beasts and monsters presiding in the park!"
-Do you honestly believe we're so weak?!- Grunoja pounds the ground grunting in anger.
"No and you know it!"
-Then stop worrying and defeat those that wish us harm! We'll deal with whoever else comes at us.-
"But what if..."
-Relon.- The Great Elder calls gaining the boy's attention. -You have a kind heart. You wish to protect all. That is a noble cause but often an impossible feat for one of your caliber.-
"How so..."
-Do you truly believe you are capable of not allowing a single one of our kind be slain should the worst become a reality?-
About to respond, Relon falters lowering his head to grip his hands.
-Your heart is in the right place but you can only do so much.- Grunoja begins. -You have only had to protect one individual object. The princess being one and a train of people being another. Both in a single spot. Unlike those, we have hundreds of our kindred scattered throughout our home. Do you believe you can protect each and every one of them even if we're in one location?-
"No..."
-Then focus on what Relon Tarbin Namikaze-Lucinance can do.- The Elder grunts low. -We shall do what we must to defend our home as shall you. Focus on on the enemy before you. That is what you can do.-
"...Yes, sir..."
-Yujiro is absent so we must be careful with how we act. Grunoja, you and the others shall be the main force should the enemy get too close. I shall appear should you find yourselves having difficulty or the situation becomes dire.-
-Understood.- It nods to look to Relon. -Don't you get killed out there. I still want that rematch.- It grunts for a small smile to grace Relon, his spirit slowly.
"Don't worry. I won't. I can't die yet. Not until I'm reunited with my family."
-Hmpf. They better be every bit as challenging as you are.-
"Grunoja, you have a odd way of stating that you care, you know that?"
-Get going. Leaving your mate alone with another female will lead to disaster eventually.-
"How would you know? You don't even have a mate." Relon deadpans.
-It doesn't take a genius to know the obvious! Now get!- Grunoja roars.
"Alright! Fine, fine, I'm going." Rean sighs walking past the two.
-And Relon.- The Great Elder calls.
"Yeah?"
-Steel your mind for it can easily break in an instant.-
"... What do you mean by that?"
-You will come to understand these words once the time is right. Now go. Your companions await.-
"Understood..." Hopping on Pippin, he takes off.
Steel my mind... Did the Great Elder mean to focus or something along those lines.
Flying through the night forest, Relon takes in the glowing mushrooms all around.
At night, the nocturnal monsters become active. All we know is that the enemy reinforcements are coming sometime in the afternoon or evening.
At that thought, he and Pippin halt.
What if they don't take the gate entrance? What if they arrive via another entrance like the river or the air? We'd be caught off guard if that were to happen.
Taking off again, he returns to his thoughts.
If we had orbal surveillance cameras, that would help. But Celdic doesn't sell that kind of stuff.
But Heimdallr does.
Nodding, they near the entrance landing outside before the girls.
"I had an idea."
What is it?" Laura asks.
"These reinforcements. What if they don't come through the main entrance?"
"That would pose a problem." Claire says going into thought.
"I was thinking we use orbal surveillance cameras.
"Does Celdic have those?"
"No, but Heimdallr does. If I go there full speed, I can make it back in no time."
"I see. Based on the geography of the area, I would recommend around 10."
"Alright, we're heading out." He turns Pippin around.
"Relon, wait!" Claire calls.
"What is it?"
"Allow me to drive you there. Pippin will need its rest for tomorrow so carrying all of that luggage will do it no good. You don't even know if the first shop you go to will have any. So who knows how long it'll take."
"Well, you have a point. Pippin does perform better after an extended rest... Fine." He hops off Pippin to pull out his ARCUS. "It's around 10 p.m. now so let's hurry."
"Let us go then." Laura notes for both to look.
"You're coming too, Laura?"
"Yes, is that a problem?"
"No. I figured you'd want some rest since it's so late. Don't need all of us to be ill-prepared for whatever tomorrow will bring."
"You needn't worry. I shall be fine. Besides, I've followed you two this far. I may as well see it through until the end. If that is alright with you, Major."
"I see no problem." She smiles.
There goes my alone time with Relon. She's certainly persistent.
"Excellent." Laura smiles.
Leaving Relon alone with her, who knows what her intentions may be. I'm not easy to be rid of, Major.
Looking between the two girls smiling sweetly at one another, Relon can only shake his head.
These two I swear.
At this point, they're not bothering to hide it.
My childhood friend and the woman I'm in a relationship with. Both super protective and super scary. Greaaaaaaat...
Before long, the trio arrive in town approaching Claire's car.
"Pippin and I are resting in the back seat again." He notes.
"Here." Claire calls opening her trunk and tossing the teen a blanket.
"Much appreciated." He thanks going into the back seat.
"Mhmm." She nods getting in the front seat with Laura riding shotgun.
"You two seem familiar with how this goes." Laura notes.
"Claire was the one who gave me a ride to Thors the day of orientation. You know, since I used all my fire." Relon answers, Pippin laying on the floor with the boy laying sideways looking to the two.
"You don't say."
"Yes, we make quite the team. Right, Relon?" Claire smiles confidently as they drive off.
"Yeah..." Relon covers a yawn.
"That may be so, but Relon and I too perform quite well together. None have been able to overcome our destructive force. Wouldn't you agree, Relon?"
"You have a point..." He stifles another yawn rolling onto his back.
Man, vehicles and me really don't mix.
Shouldn't you be focusing on stopping the two?
At this point, they're both just tryin to one up the other. If things start getting heated, I'll intervene. But until then... I'm going taking a quick nap.
Before long, Relon is out cold leaving the girls to sigh glancing at him.
"Vehicles and him really don't mix."
"Indeed. He's always slept rather quickly whenever we traveled."
"Is that so? That explains why he prefers walking."
Even though we've been together for roughly three weeks, there's still so much about Relon I don't know. Whenever we talk, he doesn't hesitate to answer anything I ask. Yet Laura is his childhood friend so she must know everything there is.
"Major Claire, is something wrong?"
"I envy you, Laura." She smiles for her fellow woman to raise an eyebrow.
"What for?"
"Your relationship with Relon."
"What do you mean?"
"Nothing in particular. More so just your friendship as a whole."
"As a whole?" A nod comes in response.
"As you know, I'm a member of the RMP. When I mentioned caring for Relon from a select few, I was truly referring to only having a few for whom I can confidently call my friends. Sadly, I we are all much to busy with our lives to simply be together."
Her words cause Laura's to widen everso slightly.
"Relon is the only friend I have who isn't like the others. I often see the others due to our work intertwining here and there. But that isn't the case with Relon. He's no longer staying in Heimdallr."
"With his duty as Princess' bodyguard over..." Laura mutters to gain a nod from Claire.
"That's right. You really do know everything." She gives a small chuckle. "That whole time Relon was in Heimdallr, I kept encountering him yet I wanted nothing to do with him solely out of disdain for taking what was to be my position. Thinking back on it, had I not been so judgmental, things could have been different."
"But you are glad things have turned out the way they did, no?"
"I am and I wouldn't change it for anything. It's selfish of me to say but I only wish I wasn't as busy so I could spend more time with my friends and Relon. Enjoy a more relaxing life than what I have now. In a way, it's thanks to him that my eyes were opened to such a possibility."
"Hehe. Knowing how Relon is, he tends to have that effect on people. Helping them see a bigger picture."
"I can confidently state that is 100% factual." Claire says for both to laugh. "But now that Relon is at Thors, the only chance to see one another would either be on his off days which will most likely be covered with student council work or by some miraculous chance of luck, we stumble upon each other on your field studies."
"You have a point..."
"For now, I'm just happy that I get to work alongside him once again. I feels nostalgic even if it was only three years ago." Claire chuckles.
"Even so, the memory of one is what we tend to cherish the most."
"So true, Laura. So true..."
...
Thoughts?
... None.
With that, the rest of the ride was filled with light chatter and before long, they had reach the city.
Stretching, Relon looks around at the bustling night city.
"If we weren't under such constricted time, I'd actually like to see Alfin and introduce you to her, Laura."
"Surely you jest, Relon! Someone of my status doesn't even come close tohaving such an honor of meeting the princess of Erebonia!" Laura waves dismissively.
"Laura, from all the letters I sent you, you should know Alfin doesn't act like a princess unless she has to. He deadpans.
"But still, her status..."
"And should also remember that Alfin simply wants to be treated as a normal girl." He eggs on leaning towards Laura who leans away.
"I... I understand." She surrenders.
"Good."
"Vainqueur Street is a good place to start. That's where I've gone for my orbments."
"Sounds good."
Making their way over, they enter the building.
"Ah, Claire." The merchant greets to widen. "And the princess' bodyguard?! Well now, this is quite the surprise at this time of night. What can I do for you all?"
"Would you happen to have any orbal surveillance cameras?"
"As a matter of fact, I do. I got four left." He says placing them on the counter.
"I'll take 'em." Relon says handing over the correct amount of mira. "Would you happen to know any other shops that have them?"
"Hmm... A few. Here, I'll write them down for you all." The merchant mentions handing over the piece of paper.
"Thank you very much."
"Pleasure doing business as always. Come back again, ya hear?"
Dropping the purchased goods in the car, the three look at the letter.
"Garnier District, Leica District, and Sankt District. Huh, that's where St. Astraia is."
"We'll save that for last then." Claire says earning nods from the three to head out catching a trolley.
"This is my first time coming to Heimdallr at night. It is quite different compared to daytime."
"A lot bustling cities tend to give off that night vibe. It's one of the reasons I stay up late. Night time just hits different compared to daytime."
"That doesn't excuse the fact that you stay up late." Laura eyes the boy who averts his gaze from the girl sweating nervously.
"Relon, I know you haven't been troubling Laura with having to wake you now." Claire voices sweetly.
"Er... Look, I haven't done it in a while okay!" He cries out, both exchanging a glance to giggle.
I swear these two are dangerous together.
If only Musse were here. They could be the Deadly Trinity.
Please don't jinx it. I have a nervous feelign that we may run into her once we get to the Sankt District.
Minutes pass of taking in the dimly lit city before they arrive.
Heading inside, they briefly talk to the merchant obtaining two more cameras.
"That's six." Laura notes, the three returning to the car before heading to their next destination.
"It's still surprising for so many shops to be open past midnight."
"About 40% of Heimdallr's population have work-related business that takes place at night such as deliveries, large banquets, etc." Relon informs.
"With how long you were the princess' bodyguard, I can only imagine how many parties you must have been to considering you're not a party person." Laura giggles.
"You're not?" Claire asks with a tilt of her head.
"Nope." He shakes his head. "Big parties just aren't my thing. Every time I went to one, I just found a quiet spot and watched Alfin from afar. I'm more of a small get together kind of guy."
"Hmm. Interesting..." Claire hums.
"Why do I feel you're going to start planning my birthday this early?"
"I have no idea what you're referring to. Though for future reference, when is your birthday?"
"Not for some time." Relon says with a shrug for Claire to shake her head.
"Laura?"
"November 17th."
"Laura!"
"Relon, you should know how we women operate. You learned that from your aunt, did you not?" She smiles.
"November... Hehe, I got some planning to do."
"Ugh, I knew it!"
"You'll thank me for it." She states confidently.
"I question that." He mutters.
Reaching the Leica District, the three head inside retrieving one more surveillance camera.
"Seven now." Relon notes, the three putting it in the trunk before heading to their last destination. "Here's to hoping the orbal shop has three."
"If not, we'll have to look somewhere else." Claire adds.
"It's alright going in one in the morning." Laura notes looking at her ARCUS unit.
"We're supposed to wake up at eight in the morning. And it took roughly 30 minutes with Claire's fast driving."
"Which just means we need to hurry."
Doing so, they head catch the next trolley quickly reaching the Sankt District.
"There's Saint Astraia." Relon mention gaining the girls' attention.
"So that is the school you've told me about."
"Yeah, thinking back to my first day, it feels so long ago now." He smiles. "But now isn't the time for nostalgia. Let's go."
Hurrying over, they enter the shop.
"Hm? Well now, if it isn't Major Claire. What can I do for ya?"
"My friends and I are looking for orbal surveillance cameras. Would you happen to have any?"
"Yes I do. Two left." He smiles.
"Would you happen to know where any others are?"
"I'm afraid not aside from the three other orbal shops here in Heimdallr."
Paying for the objects of interest, the three leave the shop.
"I'll go ahead and take this back." Relon announces hopping on Pippin and flying off after getting the keys from Claire.
"Nine out of ten." Claire states. "Going with nine will make placing these differently than what I had in mind."
"And we've been to all of the orbal shops in Heimdallr. Not to mention it's a little past one."
"Coming back in the morning will just be a waste of time too." Claire adds.
"So we must somehow find one more quickly..."
"My, what a coincidence."
All eyes turn in the direction of the school to see a familiar greenette come their way.
"Who is that?"
"A walking headache." Clair groans.
"If it isn't the wonderful Major Claire. And it seems you have company."
"Musse, what are you doing out at this time of night?" Claire asks with a sigh.
"Wait, you're Musse?!" Laura gasps.
"My, it seems I've become quite popular. To answer your question, I simply couldn't sleep and decided to go for a night stroll. But tell me Major Claire, have you been telling others about me by chance~?"
"Actually, I haven't and she isn't with me exactly."
"Hm? Then-"
"I'm back!" Relon calls landing a distance away from the girls walking their way. "Huh, who's-"
"Instructor!" Musse gushes running past the two and leaping towards Relon.
"Whoa!"
Landing on the ground, he winces opening his eyes to be meet with a batch of green.
"My, Instructor, how charming of you to pay me a nightly visit~." Musse purrs laying atop the boy giving a seductive smile.
"M-Musse?! What are you doing here?" Relon stutters, a blush quickly forming.
You may want to deescalate the situation. Claire and Laura seem quite bothered.
Looking past the girl with her body pressed against him, he takes note of both women giving a look of both surprise and what one could only say a yandere would give. Where had that come from? Questions for later.
"Okay, Musse, time to get off!" He says, the two slowly approaching, their eyes locked onto the greenette.
"Oh? Who cares what other people think? After what you told me last time, I've been praying to Aidios for another chance at meeting and what better than a romantic night under the stars in front of the very place we met~?"
A tick mark forming on both woman for Relon to feel his normally hot blood runs a chilly cold. Deciding to take action, he grabs the girl's arms rolling her over and getting both to their feet.
"Easy, you two!" He waves his hands defensively halting both.
Finally catching his breath, he looks between the glaring women and smiling student.
Crisis averted?
I believe so.
"I now understand what you meant by her 'jokes.'" Laura mutters crossing her arms as Claire rests her hands at her hip. "They lack much of the appeal."
"Hehe, well it seems I've met yet another rival on the path to conquering Instructor Relon's love."
"Alright Musse, enough." Relon sighs placing a hand on her head gaining the girl's attention.
"Very well. Anything for you, Instructor~." Musse smiles.
"So, Relon." Laura mentions, her tone making a shiver run down his back. "What is this about what you said last time?" She smiles.
"Believe it or not, it has nothing to do with any of her 'jokes.'" Claire answers. "What was said last time is a personal matter between them."
"You don't say. Then why is she clinging to Relon's arm?"
"Huh?" Relon tilts his head to see Musse.
Gently pushing her off, he takes a wide step away, the four now in a square.
"Musse is just being Musse. Alfin does the same thing. I've tried prying them off dozens of times but they never listen." He sighs.
"It's irritating because he's telling the truth." Claire seethes through her teeth twitching irritably at the sight.
"Hehe, my name is Musse Egret. I am Relon's present and future lover. Lovely to make your acquaintance." Musse gives a momentarily release from Relon to curtsy before grabbing ahold to his chagrin.
"Laura S. Arseid. I would say a pleasure but frankly, seeing you all on Relon doesn't give me much pleasure let alone the fact if you giving out false information." She copies Claire.
"My, whatever could I have done to have you harbor such hostility?" She gasps smiling.
"Musse." Relon calls knowingly.
"Fine, my apologies." She bows. "So what brings you to Heimdallr at this time of night?"
"Laura and I are on a field study with our classmates back in Celdic an some stuff came up so we're here getting orbal surveillance cameras. Though we're one short."
"Really? If that's all, you can have one of mine. I have plenty." Her words causing all to shift to mild surprise.
"You have an orbal camera?"
"Yes. Is that odd?"
"Musse, what's odd is I have an inkling suspicion you've been watching us knowing full well what we've been up to just waiting for the right time 'coincidentally' show up."
Not responding, a small smile graces Musse's lips as the girl walks towards Relon leaning forward.
"You're the only person who knows me well enough so whatever you think of me may as well be the truth." She mutters, Relon softly chuckling to himself.
"I don't know about that. Alfin and Elise may have me beat when it comes to you. Especially Alfin. You two are basically twins."
"Mm mm." Shakes her head. "You've outsmarted me more times than I can count. That alone says enough. Although, I have no problems revealing my love in full."
"Uh, maybe another time." He chuckles.
"What is happening?" Laura questions.
"I don't know, but I don't like it."
"Alright, right this way." Musse announces walking off in the direction of St. Astraia.
"Huh?"
"What's wrong, Instructor?"
"Why are we going to St. Astraia?"
"Why, that is where my dorm is as well as my spare orbal surveillance cameras."
"Oh, that makes sense."
He takes a single step to pause going wide-eyed, Musse smirking at the late reaction.
"Wait, can't we just wait here while you get them?!"
"Oh, come now Instructor, what kind of gentleman has a lady do such pointless work?" She winks.
I swear, Musse.
It would be best to just get it over with.
Yeah, you're right about that.
"Fine, lead the way."
"Teehee, right this way. Oh, you two are welcome to stay here if you'd like."
"Sorry to disappoint, but I'll be attending as well." Laura denounces standing closes to Relon's side.
"L-Laura, you don't"
"As will I. If I don't I wouldn't put it past you to take advantage of Relon." Claire says copying her companion's gesture.
"C-Claire?! You too?!"
"I figured as much. It's always nice to see the Instructor's cute reactions." Musse teases walking off.
"Tch, this girl is going to be the end of me." Relon groans, the three walking off close behind but closer to Relon.
Should I even bother asking for space?
Why do that when you're enjoying such an occurrence?
Because it isn't technically right... I think.
Even if you wanted to voice your discomfort, you know the two will deny any such action. The best is to just bear with it until you reach your destination.
Ugh, this hectic night just got worse!
