Chapter 1
The game opens on a dark, stormy night where a police radio feed announces that batman is en route to arkham asylum with someone called "The Joker."
"I wonder who this Joker is," said Lincoln. " Whoever he is sounds like bad news, bro," Luna said.
A long black car is shown darting down the road at high speed, weaving between incoming emergency vehicles.
"wow that is the coolest car I've ever seen," said Luan.
The scene then shows the batmobile pass a sign for arkham saying, 'Hitchhiker's may be escaping patients,' the scene then pans to someone in the driver's seat dressed like a bat.
"I am guessing that's batman driving," said Lucy. "He looks pretty scary and cool," said Lincoln.
We then see a man with pale white skin and green hair giggling maniacally in the backseat mumbling how he has a bomb but then realized he doesn't. The batmobile then pulls up to arkham asylum as the title appears on the screen.
"Dudes I think that's the Joker," said Luna.
A door to the asylum opens and Batman is showed nudging Joker to move, "Hey Sharpie miss me," said Joker sounding mockingly. A man and some guards are shown, "That's warden Sharp to you, Boles"
said the rather rotund looking warden.
"The warden looks like a real big shot," said Lincoln
A guard approaches Joker and grabs him, "Hey Frank-Ay, how's the wife and kids? You miss me," said Joker. "Shut it. Clown, a lot of people really want to talk to you," said Boles.
"Really, I don't mind walking," said Joker. As Joker was strapped to the trolley, he laughed,"Not so tight boys, you'll crease the suit,".
"He is in a mental institute, and he's worried about his suit being creased," said Luan. "He probably doesn't realize why he's here yet," said Lincoln.
"Get that filthy degenerate out here," said Warden Sharp. "Warden somethings not right I'm going with them," said batman, the camera the pans to sign above a walkway that says 'intensive treatment facility,' batman starts walking and asks a guard, "is commissioner Gordon here yet," "yes sir, he's waiting for you in patient handover, got here just before you did," said the guard.
"What's got everyone on edge," said Lucy, "it's probably because Joker did something really bad to get thrown in with the crazies," Lincoln exclaimed.
Then suddenly, two spotlights turn on, "Sharpie loves his cameras, hey Sharpie, you getting my good side, ah but heck there all good," said Joker mockingly. As batman followed the men transporting Joker to his cell, they entered a scanner. As the scanner was going a red light shone along with a beeping sound, "Showing multiple prohibited items" said the scanner operator.
"I want Joker searched again," said Aaron Cash. "It's not the patient," said the operator. "Ooo, what'cha sneak in with you bats, come on tell me, tell me, batarangs, batclaws, bat-snacks," said Joker mockingly.
"Wow, he is kind of annoying," said Lincoln.
"Scan is Green on Joker," said the operator. "Open the gate, get him out of there," yelled Cash. The gate opens and they continue walking, "I want weapons trained on him at all times," said Cash. "There will be time enough for you later Cash, speaking of time, tick, tock, tick, tock, is that a crocodile I hear," said Joker as he laughed at Cash. As they passed the processing corridor some of Joker's men in custody, cheered and chanted his name.
"Why are they happy to see him, I expected them to be sad that their boss got captured," said Lucy.Suddenly, the guards and Batman stopped so a doctor could check out Joker, "Just got to check your prisoner officer Boles." He said, "Make it quick," said Boles anxiously. "Just following procedure, patient seems to have suffered minor lacerations, probably in the last 24 hours," then suddenly Joker leaned forward startling everyone as guards drew their weapons."Need to take my temperature I'd be happy to drop my pants," said Joker as he laughed.
When the four loud children heard that they all squirmed with disgust.
"He's all your's, get him out of here," said the doctor."It's good. Get the door open," said a guard, as the door opened, they entered a room with an elevator, and a guard announced that another inmate was coming. When the elevator reached the top out came this huge human-like creature that had scales all over his body.
"Who or what the heck is that," said Lincoln.
"He looks pretty scary and ferocious dudes," said Luna, now concerned about what this guy will do.
Soon two spotlights came on and the creature turned its attention on batman, then it spoke."I've got your scent batman, I will hunt you down," meanwhile a guard had powered up the collar Killer Croc was wearing and the electric shock subdued the monster. "A toy collar won't stop me from killing you batman, rip you apart,eat your bones," said croc as he walked away.
"That collar sure was shocking," joked Luan.
While the others groaned.
Soon, the door to the elevator opened, and Batman and the guards walked in with Joker. As the elevator went down batman, he asked him why Joker let himself get captured so easily. Suddenly, all the lights went out, and guards were scrambling, trying to get a light on Joker. When the lights came back on, batman grabbed Joker by the throat, "What don't you trust me," said the clown.
Wow, batman is pretty intimidating,"said Lincoln.
"You said it, dude," said Luna
When the elevator reached the bottom, the men and Batman exited, "Our guest has arrived," said a guard. When they entered the room, Batman greeted commissioner Gordon. "Long night, Jim," he said, as they shook hands, Gordon responded, "Joker invades city hall and holds the mayor hostage, leaving it to me to juggle SWAT teams, the media, and you, yeah it's been a hell of a night," "Hopefully the last we'll ever have with him," said Batman.
"I don't know something could go wrong," said Lucy.
Meanwhile, a woman viewing the security camera says, "Yeah right," "Hold it there, sorry batman, arkham staff only," said a guard. "I can assure you if anyone is qualified, it's him," said Gordon."I appreciate the assistance, but he'll unsettle the more violent inmates," said the guard. Joker Laughed "I think he's talking about you bats, don't be a stranger, you're always welcome here, gotta say it's good to be back,"
"Something isn't right guy's, I think Joker is planning something," said Lincoln.
As Joker is being dragged away he trips. "Get up now," said the guard, in. that moment Joker had head butted the guard and started strangling the guard with his handcuffs. "Joker's loose, alert the warden," shouted Batman
"Well, this is happening I guess," said Lincoln.
"Hurry, we're losing him doc," said Joker as batman was desperately trying to break the glass window. At that moment the doctor had undone the handcuffs that Joker was wearing and when that happened Joker let go of the guard and knocked out the doctor.
"The chokes on you," said Joker to the now knocked out guard, "Honey, I'm home," said Joker looking into the camera's then the woman viewing swiped a card to open the door, " Come on in," she said. Just then batman jumped through the window but it was too late, Joker had gotten to door just as it powered on.
"Talk about bad timing," said Lucy.
"Welcome to the madhouse, batman, I set a trap, and you sprung it gloriously," said Joker. Just then, inmates had been released and started to fight batman. When all the thugs were beaten Joker had fled deeper into the building.
The loud children were all stunned t how skilled batman was at fighting.
"The systems jammed we're stuck in here, Joker has full control of the security gates," said Gordon. " I'll find a way out Gordon try and contact the warden, let him know what's going on, I'll be back," said batman.
Then Joker chimed in on a video monitor. "Don't make promises you can't keep bats, I'm in control of the asylum, your not going anywhere I don't want you, understand," "If you think I'll let you run," said batman, then Joker interrupted "Blah, blah, blah, always with the hero speech I'm getting bored, why don't you just come find me," then the gate that Joker went through deactivated. "You know it's a trap," said Gordon, "I know," said batman.
"Wow that was awesome dudes," Said Luna.
"Let's keep going," Said Lincoln.
