Chapter 3
Just as the group was about to continue, they heard someone coming downstairs. It was the oldest loud child, Lori, "Hey guys, what are you doing," she said curiously. "We're watching Lincoln play his game," said Luna, "so it's some stupid boy thing," mocked Lori. "No, it's a superhero game. Do you want to join us," said Lincoln. "Sure I got literally nothing better to do," said Lori. As she sat next to Luan on the couch, Lincoln then resumed the game.
"Batman, you picking this up," said Oracle as batman responded "Oracle I'm here," "Arkham Asylum just vanished off the network," said Oracle. "He's in control of the security system, he's probably isolated it from the grid," said batman. "That's not all he's done police feeds report he's placed bombs all over Gotham says hell detonate them if anyone sets foot on arkham island, it's being suppressed at the moment but the story will break anytime now," explained Oracle.
"B-bombs," said Lori.
"Trust us Lori, you haven't seen anything," said Lucy.
"He's lying. It's just a diversion to keep people away," said batman, "How do you know," asked Oracle. "I know him," said batman. The guards in the room were wondering how they were going to get out. 'Harley thinks she has me trapped in here. She never was very bright,' thought batman, suddenly batman had pryed, a cover off an air duct. "Batman, I'm patching you into the guard radio feed," said Oracle, "Steve, more Blackgate prisoners by the boiler. Who's that behind them? oh God, it's Joker he's free. How'd he break out," said a voice on the feed. "Sorry, feeds d, comms are up and down like crazy, not good I'll keep trying," said Oracle.
"They're killing the guards," said Lori.
"Yep, Joker is pretty psychotic," said Lincoln.
Batman then kicked opened the vent cover out in the hallway just as a guard opened the door, just as batman ran down the corner the guard stopped at a window and started to panic as the guard on the other end were laughing. "What is that stuff," said the guard, "Joker toxin, listen to me the room is filled with poison gas. Anyone caught in their is dead," said batman. "Are you gonna get in there and help them batman," asked the guard.
"Gas that makes you laugh till you die. That's scary," said Lori.
Then batman grappled to a ledge above the hallway were he saw a vent as he ripped the cover off he thought 'This isn't a simple escape attempt Joker's been planning this,' then as batman entered the room scaffolding he noticed a guard hanging from a ledge. "You're going to be fine stay here," said batman as he pulled the guard up. He then saw another guard hanging on another ledge, he grappled to the ledge and pulled the guard up, " I'm going after the animal who did this," he said. Batman then glided to another platform where he noticed a inmate hanging on a ledge, batman pulled him up and immediately knocked him out.
"Wow, batman is literally a hero," said Lori.
"You said it Lori," said Lincoln.
'Hmmm, there's the extraction system a well-aimed Batarang should do the trick,' thought batman. Then when batman threw a Batarang at the extraction point the air purification system kicked on and the Joker toxin dissipated.
"That took care of the gas," said Luan.
When batman dropped down from the ledge he continued on his search for Joker.
