Authors Note's - Hello. Welcome to the next chapter. We are back to the doom slayer and the father.

Chapter 5 - Shock Therapy

Level 3 - 'Electrical Station'

After spending a while slaughtering entities in level 2 the doom slayer happened upon an unlocked door.

Upon going through the unlocked door, the slayer found himself on a new level once more.

Like the previous hallways of Level 2, Level 3's wall was tight and narrow, which was uncomfortable and upset the slayer once more.

Unlike the other level, however, this level's walls were made up of dusty brown bricks which were occasionally adorned in copper pipes and unknown machine components. The floor was extremely dusty gray tiled, and the ceiling was some metal. The last icing on the cake was that the level was uncomfortably hot, however as someone who waded the literal lava oceans of hell, the temperature might as well have been cold to the slayer.

As mentioned, the slayer was frustrated having to navigate tight halls again. Hopefully, the next few levels proved more spacious, as the Hellwalker was tired of navigating the tight halls.

As he was strolling down the hallway, he noticed a group of new entities.

Their appearance resembled hounds except that they had way longer hind legs and evidence of no hair at all. On its back were many calluses filled with a sickly green liquid.

The Slayer noticed that none of the 5 entities had noticed him, so he took it upon himself to make the first move. In a blinding blur of speed, the slayer instantly appeared in front of one of the bursters, ripping out its spine and throwing its body so hard against the brick wall that it exploded.

The other entities took notice, and as they took notice the calluses on their back burst with acid in the direction of the slayer.

If it was any other human, the acid would have caused them severe third-degree burns and might have even been fatal. But this was the Doom Slayer. Not only was his suit forged in the fires of hell, but his skin was ironically stronger than his armor itself, so the entities were stunned when the acid had zero effect on the slayer outside mild annoyance.

Before the creatures could resort to any other attack, the slayer instantly disappeared in front of their eyes. He moved so fast it was almost as if he teleported behind the entities.

They were so shocked that they hadn't even noticed one of them being currently bisected by the Hell-walker.

They never stood a chance.

in mere seconds, the entities were all unrecognizable corpses.

After brutally pounding the entities in the ground, The Slayer continued to wander the halls once more.

Every so often he would pass rooms filled with large generators. The rooms were unbearably hot, at least to the normal human.

After a few hours of walking, he came upon a larger horde of entities.

In it were the usual skin-stealers, smilers, dullers, and hounds, with new entities such as red zombie-like organisms known as wretches, large moths known as death moths, and other unknown entities.

They all stared at the Bane of Hell, hunger danced around in their eyes. The average human would have been utterly terrified at the number of creatures in this hallway. However for the Slayer. The only thing going through his mind was 'How quickly and brutally can I kill all these things'.

The horde lurched forward with a quickening pace, however the slayer was magnitudes faster.

Before any of the entities knew where he went, the Slayer happened upon a Faceling, tearing off its head and chucking it at a nearby hound.

A Death Moth tried spitting acid at him, but he ducked out of the way, causing the acid to fall on and burn a nearby hound.

Before the giant insect could spit another glob of acid, the Hellwalker was upon it, ripping off its wings and slamming it into a nearby brick wall., causing it to explode in insect innards.

It was a minute into the battle that the Slayer went fuck it and started pulling out his weapons.

Pulling out his combat shogun, he activated the sticky bomb modification, launching it into a group of entities, causing them to explode with guts and innards.

The Doom-slayer fired with terrifying precision and accuracy. Every time the shotgun fired, something or multiple somethings died in a brutal display of blood and innards.

It was almost law that it would never miss when the slayer fired his weapon.

Not only would it always hit something, but that something would die a swift and brutal death,

After a few minutes of fighting the Slayer noticed that some of the entities seemed to be retreating.

They never expected the wanderer they came across to be so brutal and without mercy.

Unfortunately, it was all for naught as they caught the rounds of the Heavy-Assault-Rifles precision bolt mod.

After what seemed like 7 minutes of non-stop fight the Hellwalker noticed that the hallway was empty of any more entities, instead replaced by a twisted canvas of multicolored blood.

It was a scene that he found himself in time and time again but never grew tiresome of.

Before he could turn away to walk down another hallway, he heard what seemed like screams of help.

He chalked it up to being a skin stealer at first, however, the father noted that, unlike the voice of a skinwalker, this one sounded more human.

Pumping his Combat shotgun once more, he sprinted down the hallway at supernatural speeds, ready to rescue whoever was in danger and rip and tear until it was done.

...

Stephens's day wasn't going that well. He was just wandering around level 11 when he happened to walk through a building ending up on level 3. He thought he'd never have to be back here again, but unfortunately, as fate would have it, he was not only back here again, but he was also about to be devoured by a large horde of entities.

His legs were burning from the constant running, and his lungs screaming for an ounce of air. But he knew, that if he stopped, he would be as good as dead.

He couldn't stop running, he couldn't die in this god-forsaken hellhole. He wasn't sure if he would ever make it out of the backrooms alive ever. But he sure as hell was determined to not make it to his deathbed, not now.

No matter how many corners he turned, no matter how fast he ran, the entity horde still somehow managed to keep up with him.

To his dismay, he had run down a hallway with rusted iron bars blocking the way.

No matter how much he tried to move the bars, he never budged.

He turned around and saw that same large entity horde, drawing closer and closer, and it was then that his life flashed before his eyes.

The first time when he fell into the maze, to him making friends with the other wanderers, to meeting that cute girl in level 11.

He had promised her that they would go on a date in Tom's diner, however, that seemed to go out the window, for he was going to die.

With the last of his energy, he screamed, louder than he ever could. He knew no one would probably come help him in time, but it was worth a shot.

He kept on screaming and screaming until he couldn't.

The horde was almost upon him, and there was nothing he could do, or say to get out of the situation.

With a final breath, he closed his eyes and braced for the end, but to his surprise, it never came. Instead what came was a series of deafening booms.

In all his time in the backrooms, he had seldom ever seen a gun, as they were scarce and only in the hands of the most well-equipped and maintained groups.

As he slowly opened his eyes, he saw that the horde was not focused on him anymore, but rather on a large man seemingly adorned in dark green armor.

Stephens's eyes widened to the size of dinner plates, as this man single-handedly tore through the entity horde as if they were nothing more than paper.

Limbs flew everywhere and gunshots pounded the walls of the hallway. Some time into the battle the man even pulled out a fucking chainsaw and began sawing into the entities.

A normal human person would have been torn apart by the sheer amount of entities in the hallway, yet this man, whoever or 'whatever' he was. He was quite literally ripping and tearing at the monsters with ease.

Due to the noise of the slaughter, more and more entities seemed to be attracted to the battle, hoping for a quick snack.

Unfortunately what they found instead, was their deaths, at the hands of the brutal green armored man.

After a while, the entity overflow started to cease. A large mound of bodies covered the entire hallway, multicolored blood covered the hallway.

The large green armored man had spent a few minutes clearing a path and turned to Stephen causing him to uncounciously back away.

He wasn't sure whether this man or entity was hostile or not, and he certainly didn't want to be the next body that got torn apart.

The green-armored man walked toward Stephon, causing him to shrink up against those same rusty iron bars.

The man stopped a few feet away from him, seeming to study Stephen's features.

Stephen honestly was a bit disheveled, his ginger hair in a mess, and already pale skin ghostly white.

After a few minutes, of silence, a robotic voice seemed to come from the armored stranger's suit.

"Greetings fellow wanderer, we mean you no harm"

Stephen slowly relaxed a bit, though he remained on hi-alert

"The figure you are looking at is known as the Doomslayer, I speak on his behalf as he is incapable of doing so. As for me, well, my name is The Father but you can also refer to me as Vega."

Stephen relaxed more and more as the voice in the suit slowly talked, and for an hour or so the who conversed, with the Father telling him of how they weren't entities but rather wanderers like he was, the origins of the doomsayer and how he saved his entire multiverse of a demonic invasion. and how his new purpose was to free the inhabitants of the backrooms.

After a while of the Father speaking, Stephen took his turn to tell his story, from when he no-clipped into the backrooms, from his time as a wanderer, as well as profusely thanking them for saving his life.

"We heard there was a large MEG base on level 4, is this true." asked the Father

"Oh yeah, there is one. I'm pretty sure they could use your deadly hands with how crazy things have been here lately" Stephen replied.

"Crazy? Explain"

"Well researchers and authorities aren't sure what causing it, but for the past year or so entity attacks have been getting more and more frequent, previous safe levels have now grown more and more dangerous, and newer more deadly, and intelligent entities have been popping up. No one knows why.

The Father took a minute to regard Stephens's words, then spoke up.

"We will have to look into this matter. For the mean time, we need to get you safe, as well as reaching the next MEG base. Let us make haste."

Wordlessly agreeing, Stephen and the Slayer then set off down the halls of level 3 once more, eventually finding an exit into level 4.
