Thinking Out Loud About A Million Dreams
Bella:
While the guests enjoyed drinks and appetizers we went to get some more pictures done. The garden was being prepared for the reception while we were doing this too. We didn't have many tables, so there was going to be a lot of space for mingling and dancing. The gazebo used for the ceremony will be prepared with a table for the four of us. The band was located under the trellis.
We entered the reception to the same upbeat song played after the ceremony, everyone doing a silly dance move. It was our day, a day woven together with the joyous celebration of Edward and I as well as Alice and Jasper's union, a testament to the intertwined destinies of our families.
Edward leaned in, his cool lips brushing against my ear. "I love you so much Mrs. Masen," he murmured, his voice a low rumble against my skin.
"I love you too," I whispered back, my eyes tracing the outline of the garden lit by twinkling fairy lights. It was like a dream, a happily-ever-after that felt surreal in its perfection. As the music shifted to a slower tempo, the familiar melody of Butterfly Fly Away filled the air. My father, Charlie, stood across from me, his eyes filled with a mixture of pride and wistfulness. He walked towards me, his hand outstretched. I took it, feeling the warmth of his calloused palm against mine. We stepped onto the dance floor, the familiar scent of woodsmoke and leather enveloping me. The music carried us back to countless memories, of childhood laughter, of late-night talks, of shared family moments.
He held me close, his gaze lingering on my face. I could see the years etched into his eyes, the years of worry and love he'd dedicated to raising me while I lived with him in Forks. He wasn't a man of many words, so I squeezed his hand, a gesture of gratitude for his unwavering support, for being my rock through storms and sunshine.
"I'm so proud of you, Bella. You've grown into an amazing young woman. I can't wait to see what the future has for you in this new chapter of life. I know I live far, but you can always count on me," he whispered. As the song faded, I felt a tear tracing a path down my cheek. I leaned in, whispering a "thank you, dad, for everything. I love you," into my father's ear. He squeezed my hand one last time before stepping back, a gentle smile dancing on his lips.
The next dance was Alice's tribute to her father. The guests fell silent as she took to the floor, a single photo of her dad held in her hands. It was a large picture, one that captured the essence of her father's kindness and warmth. I couldn't help but notice the similarities between Edward and his father, they had the same hair and eyes, although Edward's eyes were milky white because of his blindness, I knew they were once green.
As the familiar strains of Cinderella filled the air, Alice swayed gently, her eyes fixed on the photo. She was lost in her memory, dancing with the photo of her father, her face a canvas of bittersweet emotions. Halfway through the song Carlisle stepped onto the dance floor, his hand reaching out towards Alice. She looked surprised for a moment, then a warm smile broke across her face. She gave the photo to Jasper and took Carlisle's hand, gracefully allowing him to lead her into the dance. Alice leaned against Carlisle, her head resting on his shoulder, her sorrow melting away in the warmth of his embrace. I looked at Esme, she was crying but smiling. It was a beautiful moment.
The evening continued with a toast from Rosalie and Emmett, our chosen godparents for the wedding. They stood hand in hand, Rosalie raised her glass.
"To Edward, Bella, Alice, and Jasper," she said, her voice resonating with warmth. "May your love be as enduring as the stars, may your laughter fill your days, and may your lives be blessed with joy, peace, and an abundance of love."
Emmett, his voice booming with genuine affection, added, "May your love grow stronger with each passing day, and may your adventures together be filled with lots of fun, magic, and wonder."
The room erupted in cheers, the glasses clinking in unison. We stood there as we drank from our flutes, surrounded by family and friends, the warmth of their love enveloping us. After the toast a grand, mahogany piano was brought in. Its polished surface gleaming under the soft lights. Alice whispered something to Edward and he smiled beaming.
"Come my love," he said, offering me his hand. As we approached the piano, the music stopped. The buzz of conversation died down, replaced by a hushed anticipation. Edward, sat poised before the piano, his fingers hovering over the ivory keys.
The first notes echoed through the hall, a soft melody that seeped into my soul, a melody I knew only from the depths of my heart. A Million Dreams, a song he'd associated with falling in love with me. A million dreams, he'd promised me, and in that moment, I knew he meant every single one.
As the music swelled, my gaze locked with the way his fingers moved over the keys. I saw the same intensity that had captivated me from the moment we first met, the same love that had carried us through all of these years, the same promise of forever that now whispered from every chord he played.
I leaned against the mahogany, the music, filled with a raw vulnerability and an unbridled passion, transported me back to our first meeting, to our first date, the soft murmur of our voices as we discussed our feelings. His vulnerability when he confessed he was blind, and the sweetness of our first kiss. The notes filled me with the intoxicating thrill of falling in love. Even though he couldn't see me his face was directed to mine. We were locked in the moment. The melody flowed from the piano, a river of emotions that coursed through my being, its rhythm mirroring the beat of my heart. As I looked at him I saw a reflection of my own soul, a reflection of the love we shared, a love that had transformed us, a love that had blossomed into a million dreams.
The last note faded, leaving a silence that hung in the air, a silence that held more meaning than any words could ever express. He stood up, reaching out to me, his touch sending a surge of electricity through my being.
"Did you like it, Bella?" he whispered, his voice husky with emotion. "I loved it," I answered, tears welling up in my eyes, unable to speak, overcome by the sheer beauty of his serenade, by the overwhelming love that poured out of him in every note he played.
"You played that at our graduation, but it means so much more now," I cried.
"You were one of those dreams, the one I thought would never come true. You're everything to me Bella, and I can't wait to write more dreams with you." He whispered as he leaned in and kissed me. I felt a warmth radiate from my heart, a warmth that spread through my entire being, a warmth that promised me a lifetime of love, a lifetime of a million dreams.
As we made our way back to our table Edward and I floated through the crowd, shaking hands and receiving congratulations, our faces aching from smiling.
The party that followed was a blur of laughter, music, and dancing. I held Bella close, feeling the rhythm of her body against mine, the warmth of her presence and constant comfort. I could hear the happy chatter, the clinking of glasses, the sound of laughter.
Dinner was served buffet style, we had a few choices to choose from. For proteins there was a steak or salmon with sautéed vegetables, potatoes, and wild rice. We also had spinach and mushroom raviolis with chicken (chicken was optional) and there was also salad on which you could add any of the proteins. Everyone was served what they wanted. We also had two options of dessert even though we had cake. Dessert was going to be served later.
The band started playing while we ate creating a nice ambiance. The food was as good as it was on the day we did the testing, I enjoyed every bite and even went back for seconds, I was famished. I was too nervous to eat my lunch earlier. After eating the four of us went to take pictures with the cake although it was going to be cut later. Alice and I were changing our dresses though, so the photographer wanted the cake picture before that.
Alice and I went to change, when we got to the room Alice took off her wig and started putting it away. Her hair had grown back some, but it wasn't long enough yet. She made her reception dress while I chose to buy my reception dress. The dress was similar to the ceremony dress, just shorter. I removed my veil while Angela helped me take off the dress, Bree was helping Alice. I changed my shoes for a pair of slippers because it was better for my dance.
We made our way back to the reception; the photographer took some photos of us with our reception dresses. I could see Jasper was getting ready for their dance. They had been practicing in secret, so we didn't have any idea of what they were doing.
I went to Edward's side just as their music started and laughed, I should've known they were going to do She Will Be Loved. Their dance was fun and intricate. I didn't know Jasper could dance like this, I guess anything can be done with a bit of practice. Our guests clapped and cheered for Jasper and Alice, we didn't give them time to stop their ovation. It was our turn to dance. Edward and I had practiced with a dance teacher who specialized in people with disabilities. I loved the way she worked with us. She made Edward feel very comfortable and gave him cues on how to mark the steps. The teacher even helped us to pick the perfect song, she gave us a list and we listened to them. Our eyes teared up with most of them, but the one that we felt connected to was Thinking Out Loud. Edward confessed that many of the things stated in the song were things he thought about our relationship and our love.
We got into our starting pose and a few seconds later the music started, the lyrics spun a tale of love and devotion, of promises whispered and dreams shared. As Edward held me close and smiled, I knew this was just the beginning, the first page of our infinite story. I was beaming as we finished the dance, we managed to do it just like we practiced. We bowed to the guests who cheered and clapped for us.
"Now the band will play some more songs for us, enjoy the dance floor and mingle. Dessert will be served shortly," Alice said through the microphone.
The sun was setting, painting the sky with fiery hues of orange and crimson as we stood on the balcony, hand in hand, watching the guests mingle.
"You think they are enjoying the party?" Edward asked.
"Yes, they are," Edward smiled and wrapped his arms around me.
"All of the songs the band is playing and singing I dedicate to you Mrs. Masen," he whispered into my ear.
"Care for a dance Mr. Masen?" I asked him, "Always," he said, extending his hand for me to take. We danced a couple of songs, Edward wrapped his arms around me and held me close to his body as we swayed to the music. I smiled as I saw the rest of our family enjoying the music too. I giggled when I saw dad dancing with Sue, that was a cute surprise.
Desserts started going around the tables, we chose a fruit tart and lemon cheesecake mousse cups. They were accompanied with a cup of coffee or tea. I noticed they were putting the desserts on our table, "do you want something sweet?" I asked Edward.
"I have something sweet right here," he joked, kissing my cheek.
"Edward!"
"Fine, let's get some dessert,"
.
"Let's play a game, shall we?" Rosalie said.
"Newlyweds please come down here," Bree called.
Carlisle and Emmett placed four chairs back to back. From here I could see four pairs of shoes, I recognized our Converse.
"Game? What game?" Edward asked.
"I have no idea, but let's go," I encouraged him.
The four of us sat, the instructions were simple, they were going to ask a question and we had to raise the shoe to answer. Since there were four of us, we were allowed to say the name of the other couple.
"Ready?" Bree asked. "Yes!" We exclaimed.
"This is going to be so embarrassing," Jasper laughed.
"Who made the first move?" Both Alice and I raised the hand with our husband's shoe. They did the same thing.
"Who is the better cook?" Edward and I raised my Converse. Jasper and Alice raised his doc marten. Alice burns water, she's been taking cooking classes.
"Who's more likely to burn the house down when they're cooking dinner?" "ALICE!" We yelled.
"Who has a better fashion sense?"
"ALICE!" We yelled and laughed. "Who is the bigger shopaholic?" We gave the same answer as before.
"Hey, stop picking on me!" Alice said.
"Who plans the best date nights?" I raised Edward's converse, his dates were the best.
My ribs hurt from all the laughing, I don't know for how long the game went, but I couldn't laugh anymore.
"Okay, that's it!" Rosalie finally said.
"Give it up for the Masen's and the Whitlock's," she said as she clapped.
"Okay, now all the single ladies please gather around for the bouquet toss," She added. Mom brought our bouquets, Alice and I took them and prepared to throw them. We started laughing as the song single ladies started playing.
"Ready?" I asked looking back at the women that had gathered.
"Set…" Alice said loudly
"You're next!" We exclaimed as we tossed our bouquets and turned around. We watched in amazement as Sue and Vanessa caught them. I made my way to them and hugged them.
"I can't believe it!"
"Okay now the single men make your way for the garter toss,"
"Oh goodness," I mumbled to Alice. "Don't worry Bella we got this,"
"My father is here Alice, this is embarrassing!" I protested as I sat on the chair.
The removal of the garter from my thigh was pretty quick. He played with it with his fingers before he and Jasper got ready to throw it.
"One, two, three…you're getting hitched!" They said as the garters flew in the air. Mine literally fell on top of my father's head, so he grabbed it. Alice's was taken by Jacob.
"I am mortified!" I said aloud which made everyone laugh. "Who wants cake?" Jasper intervened.
We made our way to the cake table again and after a couple of pictures we cut the cake again through the same line we did before. This time we took the piece and fed it to each other. After that the servers took the cake to cut it. Angela and Bree reminded Alice and I of the souvenirs, so we went to get them and started handing them out and thanking everybody for coming. The party isn't over yet, but if anyone wanted to leave now was the time.
The souvenirs were handcrafted candles, the jar had our last names on them and today's date. The other thing we gave was a bag of Hershey's kisses and hugs with a tag that read Hugs and Kisses from the new Mr. and Mrs.
We ate our cake and danced some more. Edward and I were so engrossed in the moment that we didn't notice. Many of the guests had gone, the remaining guests were mostly family. I didn't see the kids anywhere, so I assumed they were taken to Bed. Edward's older cousins were going to babysit them until their parents got back to the room.
The last song finished and the band started to pick up and pack up everything.
"Why don't you guys go up to your rooms? It's getting late and you have a flight to catch tomorrow." Esme reminded us.
"Okay," Edward and I agreed.
We went to the lobby and got our new room key. Alice and I packed everything left in the room we got ready in and it was taken along with the rest of our luggage to our honeymoon suites.
BSOL
"I can't believe we're finally here," Edward murmured, his breath a warm caress against my neck as I unlocked the door to our honeymoon suite. The excitement was palpable in the air, a heady mix of nerves and anticipation that made my heart flutter.
As we stepped inside, the scent of fresh flowers wafted through the room, a delicate bouquet that seemed to whisper sweet nothings of love and promise. The soft glow of candles bathed the space in a warm, inviting light that danced shadows across the plush, cream-colored bed. I felt Edward's hand slip into mine, his thumb tracing gentle circles down my spine.
He turned to me and removed his glasses, I cupped his face and traced my thumb under his barely there scars. Carlisle had given him a cream that removed them almost completely. His caress washed over me like a gentle wave, leaving me feeling both exposed and cherished. "Bella," he said, his voice a low rumble that sent tremors through my core. "Are you ready?"
"Yes," I whispered. He leaned in and kissed me, a soft, tender brush of his lips that grew into something more insistent, more demanding.
He began to unzip my dress, the fabric fell away from my body like petals from a rose, revealing the simple white lingerie I had chosen for this moment. His hands slid down my body, his touch light as a feather, yet it set every nerve ending alight. My own hands roamed over his chest, as I removed his shirt feeling his skin and the steady beat of his heart beneath. Edward's breath hitched as he felt the lace on my body, his eyes, though blind, seemed to see me, to drink in the sight of me. He traced the lines of my collarbone, his fingertips feather-light, leaving a trail of heat in their wake.
"You're so beautiful, Bella," he murmured, his voice thick with emotion. I felt a blush spread across my cheeks, not from embarrassment but from the sheer intensity of his words. The room was filled with the sound of our breathing, the soft rustle of fabric, and the occasional clink of something metallic, likely the buckle of his belt. We were both nervous, fumbling a bit in our haste to feel each other's skin, to finally erase the lines that had separated us for so long. Edward and I have spent the last few weeks of our engagement in our home, but we haven't tried anything physical in a while.
His hands moved to the clasp of my bra, and with a gentle tug, it fell away. He inhaled sharply, his cool breath on my bare skin making me shiver. "I never knew," he said, his fingertips tracing the curves of my breasts. "I never knew how soft you would be." I reached up and unbuttoned his pants, his erection straining against the fabric. He stepped out of them, and I could feel his desire for me, a silent testament to the bond we shared.
I guided us to the bed, his hands never leaving my body. The softness of the bedspread was a stark contrast to the tension coiled in my stomach. We laid down and Edward kissed me again, deeply, passionately, as if he could see me through the taste of my lips, the smell of my hair. "We can take this slow," he said, his voice low and soothing. "But I can't wait to feel all of you."
I nodded, too overwhelmed by the sensations to form coherent words. His hand slid down my stomach and found my hip, then slid down my thigh, his fingertips tracing the edge of my panties. "May I?" he asked, his voice a gentle rumble that seemed to vibrate through me. His fingers hooked into the waistband of my panties, I helped him ease them down my legs. I felt the coolness of the air kiss my skin before Edward's hand replaced it, his touch feather-light as he explored me. "I can feel how much you want this," he murmured, a hint of surprise in his voice.
"I want you," I breathed, the words slipping out before I could stop them. He chuckled, the sound rich and low, sending a delicious shiver down my spine. His fingers danced over my most sensitive areas, learning the map of my body as if he could see it. I gasped, arching into his touch, my body responding to his caress.
"You're so warm," he murmured, his voice filled with wonder as he trailed kisses down my neck. "So alive."
His hand continued to explore, his fingertips grazing the sensitive skin of my inner thigh, sending shockwaves of pleasure through me. I felt his thumb brush against my clit, and a soft moan escaped my lips. He stilled for a moment, listening, before continuing his exploration. "You like that?" he asked, his voice a gentle caress in the darkness.
"Yes," I whispered, my voice barely audible. His hand grew bolder, his touch becoming more insistent as he found a rhythm that made my body come alive. He leaned down and kissed me again, his tongue dancing with mine as his hand worked its magic. I could feel the tension coiling tighter and tighter within me, a delicious ache that grew with each passing second.
"Tell me if it's too much," he said, his voice tight with restraint. "Or if you want more." His thumb circled my clit, and I gasped, my hips bucking involuntarily. "More," I managed to murmur against his lips.
He complied, his touch growing more deliberate, more skilled. Each stroke brought me closer to the precipice, and I clung to him, as I fought to keep from falling over the edge too soon. His mouth moved to my neck, kissing and nipping at my skin in a way that sent bolts of pleasure straight to my core.
"Edward," I moaned, my eyes fluttering shut as his hand continued to work its magic.
"I think I'm going to..."I was lost in a sea of pleasure, my body arching off the bed as waves of ecstasy crashed over me. Edward's hand didn't stop, instead, he kept the rhythm, riding out the storm with me until my breathing evened out, and my body went slack.
When I finally opened my eyes, Edward was breathing hard, but with a small smile playing on his lips. "Your first time should be special," he said, his voice filled with tenderness. "I want to make sure it's everything you dreamed of."
"It's your first time too," I reminded him cupping his face. "Yes," he said, his smile widening. "But I've dreamed of this moment for so long, I've imagined every detail. I want it to be perfect for you."
With trembling hands, I reached for his boxers, sliding them down his legs. His erection sprang free, and I felt a thrill of excitement mingled with a touch of fear. This was it, the moment we would truly become one.
"I want to touch you," I said, my voice shaking with emotion. "Every part of you."
Edward's smile grew, his eyes, though sightless, gleaming with love and desire. "Then touch me, Bella," he urged, his voice a low purr that sent shivers down my spine. I slid my hand down his chest, feeling the muscles ripple beneath my fingertips, the heat of his skin branding me. I wrapped my hand around his length, marveling at the velvety softness and the hardness beneath. His breath hissed in surprise, and his hips jerked upwards, a silent plea for more.
"Does it feel good?" I asked, my voice tentative as I explored him. "Yes," he gasped, his body shuddering at my touch. "More than good, Bella."
Encouraged, I stroked him gently, feeling him grow harder in my hand. His skin was hot to the touch, and I could feel the pulse of his blood beneath my fingertips. "Bella," he groaned, his head falling back into the pillows. "You have no idea how much I've wanted this," He kissed me.
The taste of his lips was intoxicating, and I couldn't get enough. His hands found my breasts again, his thumbs circling my nipples until they tightened into hard peaks. "You're so responsive," he murmured, his voice filled with awe. "It's like your body is speaking a language only I can understand."
I felt his hand guide my leg over his, "Edward," I whispered, my voice trembling with desire. "I'm ready."
He nodded, his expression one of absolute adoration. His hand trailed down my body, his touch as gentle. I felt the warmth of his skin against mine as he positioned himself, the head of his erection nudging at my entrance.
"Tell me if it hurts," he said, his voice a tender whisper. "We can stop at any time."
"I trust you," I replied, my voice shaking with a mix of anticipation and love.
Edward took a deep breath, his chest rising and falling beneath my hand. "Remember, Bella, we're in this together" he whispered, his voice a gentle reminder of his love and care. "Forever", my heart raced in time with the drumming of my pulse.
He leaned in, his mouth capturing mine in a deep, passionate kiss as he slowly pushed into me. The initial pain was sharp, a sudden intrusion in the sanctity of my body, but it was quickly overwhelmed by the sensation of him filling me, of us becoming one.
"Are you okay?" he murmured against my lips, his body stilling for a moment. "I am," I assured him, the slight discomfort already giving way to a deeper, more profound feeling.
"Keep going, Edward." He did, carefully pushing further, his entire body taut with restraint. I could feel every inch of him, and it was both overwhelming and beautiful. Our kiss grew more urgent, our tongues dancing together as our bodies found their rhythm. His hands held me close, his fingertips digging into my hips as if to anchor us together.
"You're so perfect," he murmured against my neck, his voice strained. His words were like a balm to my soul, soothing any remaining nerves. I arched into him, wanting to feel all of him, to be filled completely.
Our movements grew more urgent, our breathing mingling in the quiet of the room. The candlelight danced across Edward's sculpted features, casting them in a soft, amber glow.
"You feel so good," I whispered, my voice a hoarse whisper. His mouth traveled down my neck, leaving a trail of kisses that made me shiver. "Everything about you feels so right."
"Edward!" The pleasure built, my voice breaking as his movements grew more insistent. He whispered sweet nothings into my ear, his breath hot and fast.
"I love you, Bella," he said, his voice a rasp that sent shivers down my spine. "I love you too," I replied, my voice barely a murmur. His hand slid up my body, his thumb finding my nipples again, sending jolts of pleasure through me with each stroke. The tension grew, coiling tighter and tighter as our bodies moved in unison.
"Tell me if it's too much," he said, his voice strained with his own need. "No, Edward," I breathed, my voice a soft caress in the quiet of the room. "It's perfect." He kissed me again. Each stroke sent a new wave of pleasure crashing over me, the ache within me growing more intense with every second.
"Edward," I gasped, my voice trembling with need. His name was a prayer on my lips as he moved within me, our bodies fitting together like two pieces of a puzzle that had been separated for far too long.
The sensation was overwhelming, the feeling of him filling me, moving inside me, was more than I had ever imagined. The ache grew, turning into something sweet and consuming. Each thrust brought me closer to the edge, my muscles tightening around him as I clung to the precipice.
"Edward I'm..." I whispered, my nails digging into his back. Edward's movements grew more urgent, his breathing ragged. "Me too," he murmured, his voice tight with restraint. The tension grew, each stroke bringing me closer to the edge. I felt the coil inside me tighten, my orgasm building like a crescendo of pleasure that threatened to shatter me.
"Bella," Edward whispered, his voice a hoarse groan. "I'm going to..."
The words were barely out of his mouth when my body convulsed around him, the waves of pleasure so intense they stole my breath. Edward's grip tightened, his hips pumping into me faster, his own release imminent. His lips grazed my shoulder, his body taut. With a final, deep thrust, Edward reached his peak, his body trembling as he filled me with his warmth. The sensation sent me spiraling, my body clenching around him as he whispered my name over and over again. The world around us faded away, leaving only the two of us lost in the symphony of our love.
As the intensity of our shared climax subsided, we remained joined, our breaths mingling in the quiet of the room. Edward's forehead was pressed against mine, his heart hammering against my chest. "Bella," he whispered, his voice filled with awe. "That was..."
Words failed him, and they failed me too. There were no words to describe the beauty of what we had just shared.
Our hearts slowed to a steady rhythm, matching each other's beat as if we were one. Edward's breath washed over my skin, his warmth seeping into me, leaving me feeling cherished and complete. It was a night we'd remember forever, a night woven with love, laughter, and the promise of a lifetime spent together.
Thoughts? Where do you think they are going on their honeymoon? I was going to mark it complete, but I will not do that yet. We have about three more chapters to go. Will Edward find a donor and get his sight back or will he remain on The Blind Side of Love? Thank you for the support.
