I made a mistake. So for those who are coming back it has been brought to my attention that there was a problem with the flashback/ dream sequences. You see I wrote everyone's names in wingdings. This was to try to show "Wraith's" memory lost. Unfortunately this font is not supported on , so everything was translated ruining the effect. I went back and edited the names so they're scrambled now. And to answer the question when does this takes place, it's set after destabilized. Everything is mostly canon.
Thank you Mysdibule for pointing this out to me.
I don't own Danny Phantom, if I did Tucker and Sam would at least had something like Valerie's suit to help.
Ghouly General, the best hospital of the Ghost Zone. Where many ghost go after a bad fight (A lot of them being involved with Phantom). It also held itself to a higher standard than other lairs like it, due to treating their patients with actual care instead of mad science experiments. Right now, Ember, Johnny, and Kitty were speaking with the Doctor that was taking care of Wraith.
"So doc, what's wrong with newbie?" Johnny asked. He never seen a ghost just start cracking open like that. Yes, some ghosts can do something similar but never in such pain Wraith was in.
"That's the question isn't it. By all accounts Wraith here seems to be your typical ghost except for one thing." The doctor replied as he looked over the notes.
"Well spit it out. What's wrong with Wraith?" Ember grumbled.
"Well it's just, when taking a sample of ectoplasm for testing we…we found six different ENA strands." He explained shocking the three.
"What? How?" Kitty asked. Back when she was…well before she studied biology and even now she brushes up on a few things here and there, but to hear someone has the equivalent of six separate pieces of DNA was baffling.
"We have no idea. To be honest, I'm as shocked as you are. Unfortunately we don't have the equipment needed to truly uncover what's going on."
"Any idea who would?" Ember asked.
"The ghosts of the Far Frozen. Unfortunately, I doubt they would be welcoming to you three." The doctor answered not unkindly. The three winced at that. While Ghouly General was firmly a neutral place where any problems between ghosts stayed outside of the place, the Far Frozen's inhabitants were known allies with Phantom and were highly unlikely to help them if they come knocking.
"The good news is your friend is back on his feet with minor aches. I will tell you what I told him. To take it easy and not to exert himself. If this happens again bring him here, while he's gone, we'll be going over the ectoplasm samples to find the problem." The Doctor told them.
The three thanked the doctor before entering Wraith's room. Seeing them enter Wraith bit back a wince as he smiled. "Hey guys, I guess the doctor talked to you."
"Yeah, how are you feeling?" Kitty asked.
"Like I got trampled on by a two-ton puppy." Wraith said before pausing. "Why would I know how that feels like."
"Who knows, let's get out of here." Ember said as they left.
"So six ENA, any idea how that happened?" Johnny asked. He didn't know much about the body and stuff, but he had been around Kitty long enough to pick up the basics.
"No clue, how can someone have ENA of five others?"
"You could be a fusion of six ghost." Ember theorized.
"That's a thing?" Wraith asks unsteadily, for some reason, the thought of him being fused with someone else filled him with dread.
Ember made a so-so gesture with her hand. "It's rare but it happens. When a couple of ghosts are facing a challenge, they can't face alone they have to focus their cores together and fuse. Not a lot of ghosts do that since it's a permanent change and they lose their individuality. Although I never heard of six ghosts doing that."
"Is there any other crazy thing I should know about?"
"Well, here's the most insane thing. There's this ghost named Phan-." Johnny began only to be cut off by someone shouting Ember's name. Turning to the source, they saw a young-looking ghost dressed in a pirate costume and a skeleton parrot on his shoulder.
"Youngblood? Been a while. How have you been pipsqueak?" Ember said as she ruffled the younger ghost's hair.
"Pulling pranks and causing trouble." Came his immediate reply. "Would you like to play pirates with me?" Ember paused at that. Ever since they teamed up the young ghost would occasionally come around and ask her to play with him. At first, she only agreed because she felt bad for ditching him when things went south with Phantom, but eventually she looked forward to their little get-togethers. It often helped to lift her spirits whenever Skulker decided to ditch her for a hunt.
"I loved to Youngblood, but my friend here is new to the zone." Ember began to explain.
"They can join too!" Youngblood said in a hopeful tone making Ember winced. She knew Youngblood was a lonely kid, part of the reason she suspects how he became a ghost.
"I'm in." Wraith said.
"What?" Ember turned to the newcomer. She really didn't expect Wraith to be so willing to play pretend.
"Sure, I mean what else were we going to do today?" Wraith offered with a cheesy smile.
"Kitty, Johnny? How about you?"
"Sure!" Kitty said.
"Really Kitten, I don't know if." Johnny stops as Kitty whispers something in his ear. "Alright where do we set course Captain?" Johnny said excitedly.
"Follow us!" Youngblood said as they fly off. As they went, Ember slowed down a bit to fly next to Kitty.
"So, what did you say to Johnny to get him to agreed?" The rocker whispered.
"I told him if he agrees he gets to see me in a sultry pirate costume." The two giggled as they flew off.
Vlad's mansion
Vlad sat in his office chair as he was looking at a tv screen waiting for it to patch through. Soon enough the image of Skulker appeared.
"Plasmius. What do you want this time? Another ENA sample?" The ghost hunter questioned.
"No something a bit more par for the course. Danial is in the Ghost Zone and has been there since yesterday. I need you to find him and keep him occupied." Vlad ordered.
"Hmm the welp is here." Skulker chuckled. "No worries Plasmius, I will keep him here. As a pelt on my wall!" The ghostly hunter said as he hung up. Vlad merely rolled his eyes.
"The day that oaf kills Danial is the day Jack is a wiseman. No matter, soon things will be as they should be." Vlad thought sinisterly. Hearing a knock, he smiled as that would be his next appointment.
"Come in." He called. Three teenagers walked in the room. The smallest was a fifteen-year-old boy with black hair and green eyes, the tallest was a seventeen-year-old boy with blond hair and blue eyes and finally the sixteen year old girl had orange hair and purple eyes.
"Aw Mr. Axel, Mr. Steele, and Ms. Belle. Thank you for coming." Vlad greeted the three.
"Hello Mayor Masters. We're honored to be here to speak to you but if I may, why did you call us here?" Belle politely asked.
"Yes, you see it occurs to me that there is a major problem in our town. Amity Park's teenagers are idolizing that menace Phantom and trying to get people to see him as some kind of hero." Vlad began.
"But Mr. Masters, Phantom has saved us from a lot of ghosts. More than the GIW or the Fentons ever had." Steele pointed out.
"I'm afraid he's playing the long game Mr. Steele. We have seen his true colors before when he attacked my predecessor, and I won't let that fiend trick so many children."
"Alright I get that, but why call us. We're not ghost hunters." Axel pointed out.
"That's what I'm hoping to change." Vlad said, shocking the three. "The teenagers of Amity need heroes they can relate too, to be inspired by. I have looked into many potential applicants, and I find that you three are the best choice."
"R-really" Belle asked, not knowing what to say.
"Of course. Donald Axel, top of his class and a master of programming and technology. Timothy Steele, expert driver and star athlete, and Victoria Belle, marshal artist and extreme sports star. With you three working together, you'll inspire hope for generations to come. What do you say. Will you become the Master Blasters?"
The three looked at each other before nodding.
"You can count on us Mr. Masters." Victoria said.
"Yeah, those ghosts won't know what will hit them!" Timothy cheered.
"Maybe we should give ourselves some hero names. That will help with marketing." Donold thought out loud.
"Excellent. Trust me when I say that your efforts will help change the world." Vlad said holding back a vile chuckle.
Ghost Zone-Youngblood's ship
Ember was standing on the quarter deck with Youngblood as they waited for the others to get changed. She was already in her pirate garb, as Youngblood was asking her questions.
"So whose the guy with wings?" Or more specifically questions about Wraith.
"He's a new ghost, he doesn't have his memories back yet but he's pretty strong." Ember answered.
"Really? How strong?" Youngblood asked excitedly.
"He has electrokinesis and cryokinesis, both of which he used on Walker and his thugs." Ember explained making the ghost child laugh. He didn't like Walker, the warden always kept trying to end his fun. Hearing footsteps the two saw the others were done. Johnny was wearing a pair of brown pants tucked into a pair of boots and a cream color shirt. Kitty much to Johnny's delight was wearing a form fitting purple corset with matching skirt, black form fitting black leggings that flowed into a pair of purple boots with a purple bandana wrapped around her head. Looking at Wraith, Ember blushed a bit. Wraith was only wearing a black pair of pants with a green sash belt, a pair of black boots and bracers and an eye patch.
"Why aren't you wearing a shirt?"
"I couldn't find a shirt in me size lass." Wraith said in a pirate accent. "Wha"s the plan cap'n?"
"There's a rival ship nearby we're going to be raiding!" Youngblood announced!
"A real ship or pretend? Johnny asked.
"The ship is real but there's nothing on it. Youngblood will just have it attack us." The skeleton parrot spoke up.
"The parrot can natter?" Wraith asked, surprised.
"Yes, I forgot you're new. Trust me you'll find more unbelievable things in the Ghost Zone. My name's Polly for the record." Polly explained.
"The Ghost Zone be goin' t' drive me mad." Wraith said as he rubbed his head. The others laughed as Youngblood jumped up and pointed.
"Enemies on the port side! Get to your stations!" He yelled. Everyone scrambled to get where they were supposed to be as Ember sat back began to play guitar.
(Alestorm-P.A.R.T.Y.)
"Man the cannons!" Youngblood called out. Johnny and Wraith started loading the cannons as quickly as they could.
"Hold! Hold! Fire!" The sounds of cannon fire echoed out as the shells pelted the enemy ship. starboard panels moved revealing several of their own cannons.
"They're opening fire! Brace for impact!" Everyone grabbed onto a part of the ship as it shook from the blast. "Don't just stand there men! Reload!"
Cannonballs pass hands as each of the cannons were readied. Waiting for a clear shot they opened fire striking the enemy ship's mast.
"Good work men we have them now!" Youngblood cheered.
"Captain!" Looking up to Kitty in the crow's nest she began to point ahead. "Incoming rocks!" Sure enough in front of the two ships was a field of massive asteriods.
"Evasive maneuvers! Everyone hang on!" Youngblood called out. The two ships swerved and turned to avoid massive rocks in ways that were only possible because of their ghostly nature. Everyone braced themselves as a massive rock scrape against the haul of the ship. After several core pounding minutes they were finally out of the field.
"Alright everyone get ready! We're ramming them!" The captain announced as they began to pick up speed. The other ship tried to open fire, but it was too late, Youngblood's ship went through it like a brick through butter sending wooded debris everywhere.
"We did it! We won!" Youngblood cheered. Wraith smiled as he watched the debris float to the ship fusing with it.
"Yeah, the other ship was just one of Youngblood's toys. He does this now and again. Only thing that was real were the rocks." Ember explained as she walked down to join them.
"I was wondering about that. Great song by the way, did you write it yourself?"
"Yeah, came to me when I was hanging out with the kid. One day were simply playing around and the lyrics just hit me."
"Well, it's definitely fun to listen to. It helps that you have a great voice." Wraith honestly said, Ember felt a small blush as she turned away. Rarely did anyone ever complimented her songs or her voice and even fewer meant it. Most of the time it was brainwashed fans, regular fans or just sleazes trying to score. Hearing Wraith genuinely like her song made her core flutter a bit. Before they could continue a sound of something rolling got their attention. Turning to the noise they see Youngblood on top a barrel and rolling it over to them.
"A pirate victory isn't complete without rum!"
"Don't worry Ember. It's not actually rum, it's root beer." Polly eased the concerned Ember. She let out a sigh of relief. Yes, she may be the spirit of teenage rebellion but even she had her own rules. Soon everyone was having a mug, joking around, and having a good time. Their concerns from earlier were out of their minds as they enjoyed a night of fun.
Well that's chapter three finished. Thank you for reading and please review. If there's any questions I'll answer the best I can without giving spoilers.
