Chapter 10

BPOV

Once we got to Brown Mountian Rolling Hills Asylum, we checked out the area and Zak started to talk to the people who worked there. I didn't like the vibes coming from the place at all and knew we had to be careful when we did the lockdown. I decided to look around the place and see the layout of the building. Since interviews are done before the lockdown, I wanted to at least be somewhere that I can still hear the team. While walking through the building my feelings got worst and knew this wasn't going to end well. I pulled out my phone and messaged Zak,

Zak, I've been all over this place and we will need to come up with a safety plan before we do the lockdown. I don't like the vibes and I do believe there's an evil spirit here.

Okay, we will talk about it once I'm done talking to one of the employees, I'll meet you near the car and we can discuss what will happen.

Once that was settled I started to make my way to the car but what I didn't bargain for was Victoria finding me. Why couldn't I have a good day with my friends and Mate?

"What do you want Victoria?" I asked her, she growled at me and crouched in a defensive pose. I stood my ground and didn't let that bother me,

"I want you dead, you are the reason my James is dead!" I sighed and rolled my eyes,

"Vic, I couldn't help my scent at the time, I'm truly sorry your Mate is no longer with us but can you honestly believe I could've killed him? I was a human 17-year-old girl at the time." I told her she still growled at me and then lunged, I stood my ground and waited till she got closer to me and then I attacked. We were still fighting when Zak and the others found us, by this point I just wanted her dead so I grabbed ahold of her head and ripped it off.

I turned to Zak and saw his shock and I noticed Jasper was going to throw me something so I turned to him and grabbed the lighter from the air. I finished burning Victoria's body and turned to them, the one I was mostly concerned about was Zak. I took a step towards him and he shook his head and left, I saw the other guys looking at him in shock and I just turned towards the woods and left them there. I wasn't sure what would happen at this point in time but I knew for sure that Zak probably doesn't want me anymore. I made it to a clearing in the woods so, I just sat down on the ground with my knees against my chest and started dry sobbing. I felt so alone at that moment because no one followed me and I also knew that Zak needed time away, he's never seen a vampire fight but that had to scare him because I ripped someone's head off.

ZPOV

Once I saw Bella rip someone's head off I couldn't believe it and knew she probably had her reasons but I just couldn't handle it. Once she was done burning the body and tried taking a step towards me I just shook my head and left. I needed time and come to terms that she just killed another vampire. I knew the guys were gonna be pissed but right now, I just didn't care. Soon enough I heard them coming back and I thought Bella would be with them but she wasn't.

"Dude, what was that all about?" Aaron asked me, I looked at him and said,

"I just witnessed my girlfriend ripping someone's head off there body and she didn't seem to regret it. How do you think I currently feel?" I asked him and a bit too harshly.

"Dude, she probably did it out of protection, she's a vampire these things happen I'm sure," Aaron said and then Jasper stepped in the conversation.

"Aaron is right, I had to kill many vampires since my turning, that vampire that Bella killed was Victoria. Victoria has been after Bella for years now and it doesn't surprise me that she tried to kill Bella before any of us could stop her. Bella protected herself and us in the process if Bella didn't fight her we all probably would be dead. I suggest you message her before she decides to reject your mating bond and believe me that would kill both of you." Jasper said and I nodded to what he said then they went back to the car and decided to look into a hotel to stay at tonight before the lockdown in a couple of days. I pulled out my phone and decided to message Bella and see if she will be able to meet me in our hotel room once that was sorted out.

Sorry for a short chapter but I will continue this and maybe finish it very soon. I hope to hear all the good things and maybe how I could've done this better but until next time!
