Jacobs POV
My eyes well up, I have waited so long for Bella, and now she is here in front of me. I would have never forgiven myself for not trying hard enough if she chose Edward, but I also wanted her to be happy and thriving. Before I get too emotional a small smile appears on my face. I think it's from my happiness, I am finally here with my soulmate. I stand up and hesitate if I am allowed to touch her, I ask her:
"Bella, may I lift you? It will be easier for me and you"
I realize I may have smirked a little, and blush when I realize it. Bella looks up with that gorgeous smile of hers. She quickly blurted out loud with a smile:
"Of course you can. Idiot!"
A grin spread across my face, I lift her up in my arms, just like a groom does with his bride. I look deep into her eyes; she looks back at me with compassion.
"What are you waiting for?"
She grins with her voice sweeter than honey, it startles me but I begin running with her in my arms. She commandingly points her finger towards our house, and I obey as her servant. She is so adorable. I am just about to run into a tree but quickly snoop around it. When we are home, I kick the door open (it was already open, I just wanted to recreate the moment). I realize that dad is home and close the door again politely. I look down at Bella and can see, that she is holding back her laughter. I clear my throat
"Hi dad, we will be in my room. Bye!"
We left before Billy could say anything. I lock the door and look back at Bella sitting on my bed dying out of laughter. I jump on my bed aiming to fall right beside her, instead I accidentally body slam her. My cheeks blush out of embarrassment, I lift my arms so my weight doesn't bother her anymore.
"I am SO sorry! Are you okay Bells?"
She lifts her long eyelashes shyly.
"Y-yeah"
"Do you enjoy it?" I smirk
"JACOB BLACK! That is such an inappropriate question! Of course I enjoy it"
Now it's me who's blushing. I didn't expect my Bella to be this direct. I like it.
I roll to the side, and ask her
"Soooo, what's your plan for the future?"
"I wasn't prepared for that"
"Well you gotta be prepared you know, so that the wedding incident doesn't happen again"
Was I harsh? It's the truth though. She can't run away from the future, being wed isn't too important at our age. I meant all that stuff about Darthmouth.
"Bells, sorry. I didn't mean to be harsh, I was just curious about your college and if I get to see you again."
She seems to be thinking about something, I should let her think in peace. Just as I was about to strand up, a hand grabs my wrist. Or not completely, but almost. I look back at her fair hand on my tan skin.
"Jake, I want to be with you no matter what. I think I will take a break from everything for a while. And then we can maybe go to college together? As long as I have my sun with me, I can be anywhere. But without the sun everything is too gloomy. Dark. Alone."
I hug her, we both stay there for a while. Then I remember, she also has to go home, it's already dark outside.
"Bells it's getting dark, you should go home. Do you want me to drop you?"
She nods.
I drop her off, we sit there in silence. But with her, silence doesn't need to be filled. We are just there, feeling each other's presence. I stop the car when I am in front of her house, and wait until she's inside. I drive of sitting with my own thoughts. What would Charlie say about her running away from the wedding? Will he be mad? How can I help Bella? I focus on the road. I will figure everything out tomorrow.
