AUTHOR'S NOTE: Like with the previous death the original show did not state where this death took place. I went with San Francisco because it is one of the centres of the gay rights movement. Also, since this fic is a Loud House crossover the name of the victim has been changed from the original to avoid confusion with one of the Louds.

The file that reads "INCIDENT 0114092004" has a lesbian pride flag and a sparking wire on its cover.

Ruby: "Oooh! 0114092004! I always enjoy like, seeing LGBT+ representation in the wild, even if it involves meeting the Reaper."

Shannon: "Me too."

As Shannon gets the video up the picture on the file shows a shot facing the ground, with a traffic pole jutting out of said ground, someone in a red dress lying down and an electrical wire nearby sparking.

Soon enough Shannon's laptop is facing the screen.

Ruby: "Like, LGBT+ people may use pride to fight back against queerphobia, but there are still plenty of ways to die that can get us, as we will see."

Zoom in.

The video begins on what appears to be a woman exiting a lingerie store. It's nighttime, and the light of neon signs is lighting the city up.

Date of Incident: 14 September, 2004

Location of Incident: San Francisco, California

The woman steps out into the empty street, wearing a red shirt, a black shirt and gold stiletto shoes. Holding her hand is another woman with the same shoes and a gold dress. They chat to each other as they walk past various shops.

Ruby: (Narrating) "The woman in like, red is Laura Pathouson. After a string of bad relationships, she's ready to square off men altogether."

Laura: "Oh my god, I'm better than him, I'm telling you."

Laura walks over the wall of a shop, leans against it and lifts her leg.

Ruby: (Narrating) "She's decided to satisfy, like, a bisexual curiosity that has consumed her since junior high."

Laura slips off her shoe.

Laura: "Oh my god, my feet are killing me."

After taking the shoe off she lifts her other leg and takes her other shoe off.

Ruby: (Narrating) "Now if it wasn't for the four-inch stilettos that had been pinching her feet since this evening began…"

Laura stands back up.

Laura: "Oh, that is so much better."

She begins the walk home alongside her partner.

Ruby: (Narrating) "...tonight could have been the beginning of a beautiful queer story for Laura. But alas, that queer story ended before it began."

A new camera angle shows the bottom of a traffic pole that Laura and her partner are walking towards. There is a small puddle at the base of the pole, and jutting into it is a more serious hazard…

Ruby: (Narrating) "Before she could cross the street, Laura stepped into a puddle next to a traffic pole. She did not see the exposed wires at the bottom of the pole. The exposed wires that were discharging, like, thousands of volts of electricity into the water. Shannon, analysis."

Cut to Shannon in the office.

Shannon: "The fact that Laura was standing in a puddle of water majorly increased the odds of an electrical shock, and not helping is the fact she was barefoot at the time, which would have increased the severity of the shock."

Back in San Francisco, Laura and her partner are laughing and giggling.

Ruby: (Narrating) "Laura is going to learn a scientific fact the hard way. Wet skin has, like, ten times the conductivity of dry skin."

Laura reaches towards the metal traffic pole.

Ruby: (Narrating) "And by placing her hand on the pole, she completed a circuit."

As soon as Laura's hand contacts the pole, ZAP! A white flash engulfs her hand and Laura spasms from the electricity coursing through her muscles before she collapses.

Cut back to Shannon in the office. Her tablet has a drawing of the human body, with an arrow passing through both legs, up the spine and out one arm.

Shannon: "When Laura's hand contacted the pole, she completed a circuit for the electricity to flow along. It raced from the puddle, through her legs, up her spinal cord and out her arm into the pole. As the current passed through her heart it caused something known as ventricular fibrillation. That means that thrown off by the electric shock the ventricles of her heart quiver instead of pumping strongly, which basically causes cardiac arrest. So if the electricity didn't kill her instantly, the cardiac arrest would in a matter of minutes."

A shot of Laura's corpse from the top of the traffic pole, the wires still sparking, is shown as the image turns grayscale.

WAY TO DIE #892

LESBOCUTION

Return to the Sharuby couple in the office.

Ruby: "This is why, like, all major buildings should have defibrillators on hand."

Shannon: "Indeed. If Laura had received CPR and swift treatment there is a small chance she could have survived. A shame. She was just in the wrong place at the wrong time."

Ruby: "Yeah."

Shannon: "Next file, please. My turn to narrate."

After marking this file Ruby wheels over to grab the next one.
