Dante was resting in the Trailer when a Young Woman named Kat tells him that he is in danger,just as a Hunter demon drags him into Limbo and smashes his trailer parked at the end of Bellevue Pier. Dante grabs his weapons and slays the Hunter. After Dante returns to the human world,Kat takes him to meet Kyle Ryder,who tells him that a Masked Man was hunting down Dante because he was born a Nephilim,Child of an Angel,Eva and a Demon,Sparda. Ryder tells Dante that the Masked Man kills his Parents for the murder of his Demon Kind,Mundus. Dante agrees to find the Masked Man.
Dante finds the Masked Man and battles with him. As he holds him at Sword Point,The Succubus appeared and attacks Dante. She was about to kill him,but stopped by the Masked Man. Dante manage to kill her,but not before the Masked Man got his mask fall off,exposing himself as the same face as Dante's. The Man reveals himself as Vergil,twin brother of Dante.
Vergil states that Mundus was the one who killed Sparda for his betrayal when he fell in love with Eva. Realized the truth,Dante confronts Kyle,who sheds into his Demon Form revealing that he is Mundus and uses him to try to kill his brother. Vergil appears to help Dante face off with him. With Kat's help,The Brothers kills Mundus.
With the Demon King dead and the Hell Gate closed,Limbo has now merged with the real world and the humans now see that demons are real. As Dante & Kat looked over the horizon,Vergil assures him that the Demons who are loyal to Mundus will be coming for them. Dante will be able to keep protecting humans and hunt down demons.
