A/N: Yet another story for "Overdue". I was very excited about this episode at the time. Although Deeks isn't at FLETC in this story, it's a part of the process so I'm including it in this collection.

"So, I ran in to Agent Martinez today after you finished your interview," Kensi said, leaning against his shoulder as he washed the dishes.

"Oh, yeah," he said with a grimace. "What'd she say about it?" Kensi pressed a kiss to his shoulder, enjoying the warmth of his skin through his shirt. He'd switched his suit out for jeans and a t-shirt which she'd been a little sad to see. It was a rare treat to see him dressed up these days.

She slipped around to his side, letting her hands slide over his back and waist. Now leaning against the sink, she rested her chin on her fist, looking up at him with a fond expression. He was still certain he'd screwed his interview up in some way which completely baffled her.

"Actually, she said that I was right, you are very funny." Deeks frowned at that, swiping at his forehead and spreading a bit of suds across his bangs. Though she'd never admit it, she was going to miss his curls when he cut his hair for FLETC. Hell, she was going to miss all of him every day he was gone.

"Really? I kind of thought she found it annoying." He cleaned another plate and then added, "Which I realize now sounds kind of negative. She was actually really…nice." He pulled in a breath between his teeth. "And she actually listened to what I said unlike most of the people who have interviewed me in the past. It was a nice change."

Kensi smiled, rubbing her hand down his back; she'd thought, despite her initial reservations, that Agent Martinez was fair and likeable. She was also glad that for once someone was able to see past Deeks' idiosyncrasies.

"She also said she was impressed by your ethical standards and desire to make the world a better place," Kensi continued. He suddenly looked sheepish.

"Yeah, I might have gotten a little passionate and just a tiny bit soap-boxish."

"Well obviously it worked." She hesitated and then added. "In fact, I think Martinez was kind of charmed by you."

"You're joking," Deeks said, chuckling then raising an eyebrow when she didn't join in.

"I mean, as much as a DSCA is ever charmed by anyone," she said with a shrug. "Apparently you were very persuasive. I honestly think she really likes you, you big flirt." He instantly shook his head, looking worried.

"Kens, I swear I was not flirting with her at all." She patted his back reassuringly.

"I was joking, babe. You don't realize it, but when you're genuine and vulnerable, women generally find you attractive." She raised a finger. "Don't let it go to your head." Deeks laughed at that, nodding.

"I'll try," he agreed, leaning down to kiss her. "Thanks for being so supportive through all this. I know it wasn't easy with all drama."

"Always," she said, meaning it. "I will be there for every moment of doubt, every hard day, and all the ones in between. Just like you're there for me."
