Chapter 12 Cilla P.O.V
I looked at the Dwarves and sighed. Damn.
"Hey guys?" Everyone looked at me. That was unnerving.
"Um, so do you guys know of Galadriel? Aside from the girls of course." I just got stares and rolled my eyes. Males.
"Well then, follow me. Apparently I'm needed in the garden." Everyone looked at me in confusion and just looked at Emily and understanding came onto her face.
As we got to the garden (Kili having grabbed hold of my hand, of which I'm trying to not let affect me. Not working out so well.), the Dwarves gave a kind of growl when they saw Galadriel, but I continued towards her while letting go of Kili's hand.
"Alright, I'm here. What do you need me to see." She gave me a look while Emily elbowed me and I grunted in pain and glared at her while she smirked. Even G lady had a smirk on her face.
"As I said, you need to see what happens if you choose the wrong path." With that, she poured the water into the basin thing and motioned me to step forward. As I did, the mirror showed me images. In one path (that consumed on half of the mirror), it showed Thorin dying because of Azog. On the other side of the mirror, it showed the girls and I with helping Galadriel. The half that showed the battle showed the fall of the Durins and Dwalin, dying by attempt to save Kili, Fili, and Nili. Damn.
Then both images changed. It showed us with them at the battle, preventing Thorin from sending the boys to the thingy ma bop. It showed us saving them (me saving Kili, Blackie Fili, and Molly Nili, but dying in the process.
The image changed again, showing the same as before, but this time we had decided to saving each other's Dwarf and living (basically, I wouldn't save Kili, it would be either Fili or Nili. Same for the other girls). Damn. Why so many paths? Urgh.
By the time the mirror stopped showing the images, I was shaking. I looked up at the G lady and she gave me a meaningful look. I hate it when she does that.
I felt the girls come up behind me, helping me to steady myself.
"Cilla?" asked Blackie and I looked at her. "What did you see?"
I hesitated, looking back at the guys. They can't know anything. "I saw many different paths. Painful paths. They all rely on us." Understanding came across their faces and they nodded.
I looked up at G lady and nodded in thanks, and she just smiled.
"Never forget Lady Cilla," I snorted at that. "You are never alone in this world, for you always have someone right there alongside you."
I nodded in acknowledgement.
We turned and left, Kili taking the girls' place by my side and helping me back to the balcony.
"So," began Thorin. "What paths did you see? Are we successful on this quest?"
I rolled my eyes at him. "I can not tell you the paths because that would be compromising the future. I can not tell you anything actually. Who knows the consequences if I told you." I winced at the mear thought and Thorin nodded. Kind of surprised me actually, I thought he would have put up a fight with me.
Kili helped me sit down, since I was still shaky, and sat down behind me, pulling me against him. Not that I'm complaining. The dwarfs a damn walking, talking space heater.
I leaned against him, my head gently resting against his heart, and looked around me. Blackie and Molly were in the same positions as me with Fili and Nili. Emily was the only one sitting alone, but she had a small smile on her face.
I frowned at her and she raised an eyebrow, I motioned for her to follow me and she nodded. I removed myself from Kili (sadly) and walked out the room.
I turned to her as she closed the door, my arms crossed.
"Ok Em, I know you're sad. What's up? Is it the fact that you're the only one without a someone?"
She sighed. "I know for a fact that there is no dwarf for me. I'm to tall. My only choices are those of the race of Men, or an Elf. We both know how Thorin would react to that." We both winced at that.
I looked at her. "You'll find someone. I think it'll be a certain someone we both know." I wiggled my brows and she laughed. "You know, a certains someone who has blonde hair, blue eyes, pale skin, real tall." She was dying by this point. Luckily for me, I had started speaking in Italian so the dwarfs wouldn't understand me.
She did the same when she caught her breath. "I don't know, I don't think so. You do remember a certain red-headed female archer, year?"
I shrugged. "Maybe, but we both know that the King won't allow that. He will at least be willing to work with you." She nodded thoughtfully.
"True. Well, let's go back before they start to question more than they already are. Damn eavesdroppers." I laughed and we walked back in.
I went and resumed my place in front of Kili, smiling back at his smile. Is his smile always that warm?
I leant against him, the feeling of safety strong, the fire going, chatter loud, and I fell asleep leaning against my dwarf. I'm so glad I gave into him.
