Al Kharid

Two warriors were fighting the guards in the courtyard of the Al Kharid palace. Two or three guards at a time would charge at them, but their heavy armor was effective against the steel scimitars. One of the warriors was wearing an adamant h2 helmet, and the other an adamant full helmet. Jerry, the one in the full helmet said, "Ron, are you having a good time?" The warrior in the h2 helmet yelled back from behind the guards, "umm, kind of." They kept fighting and blocked most of the hits." "I still don't really enjoy it." The warrior in the full helmet turned towards Ron, and just stood there as the guards kept attacking him. "Oh well." Then Ron stopped and they both walked out of the entrance to the courtyard, guards still attacking them from all sides. "When did you first realize you didn't like fighting?" "I can't remember exactly. It feels like I never liked it." They walked onto the desert sands out of the range of the guards. They could see heat waves in the distance and the sun was hot overhead. A camel walked around nearby. Across the desert were cacti, and some light colored buildings spaced out far apart from each other.

"What it is you don't like about fighting?" "It's just the combat itself that I just… "Ron stopped walking. Paused in thought, and then made a bit of a frown and his eyes looked down. "Ron, you look sad." Ron said "What? Oh, yeah." "What were you think about?" "Huh?" Said Ron. "What were you thinking about, right before you felt sad?" "Oh, umm, I don't know." "You were saying you didn't like combat itself, and then you looked down… what did you think of?" "I'm not sure." "Take your time." Ron paused and stood there for moment thinking. "I don't know. I didn't realize I was thinking about anything." "Was it from a long time ago?" Ron lit up for a second, "Yeah!" Take a guess, what was it?" "I think it had to do with combat. And there was something about that I..." Ron stopped in thought, and then started to move his hands around as if trying to demonstrate something, but then let them down and said "I don't know." "Something about the way you were moving?" "Yeah! Something about the way I was moving!" "What was it?" Ron said "umm, it felt strange." "What about it was strange?" "I don't know..." "Were you on a different attack style?" Ron laughed, "no! It wasn't that." They both chuckled. Ron said "it was like, umm… " He stared at the ground for a moment. "It's not coming to me anymore." "That's alright," said Jerry. "Just keep inviting it to come up and it will."

They felt a breeze of hot wind against them, and started walking north. A few high levels were passing to the left talking about a kalphite task. On their right they past a small square building with red drapes around the door openings. They peeked in. The air felt still in the shop and a bunch of scimitars were hanging on the walls. "I got my first scimitar here" said Jerry. "So did I!" "So did I!" said Ron. They kept walking past a gem stall, and stopped in front of a camel that was wandering around neatby. They stood silently and watched the camel for a few moments. "Did I ever tell you that I spent a whole day looking for a camel?" said Ron. "What? No!" "Someone told me that there was a camel where if you talked to it, it would give you 100k. And I went around the desert for a whole day looking for camels" Jerry burst out laughing. "Are you serious?" "Yeah!"

They both kept walking cheerfully and Jerry said "the stuff we used to fall for." Ron said "we were just so new back then. It took me a whole day just to finish Cooks Assistant." "Really?" "Yeah, I looked all around for the flour before someone told me you had to pick wheat and bring it over to the mill." Jerry laughed, "yeah." "How did you find the ingredients?" said Ron. "Umm…" he stood and thought for a bit and said "I can't remember." Jerry had a perplexed look on his face and then pulled out his quest journal. Suddenly his eyes went wide. "Oh shoot!" "What?" "I never finished it! The cook is still waiting on me for the ingredients!" "What! You never completed Cook's Assistant?" "No!" Ron started laughing "Jerry, you're level 45!" Jerry put his hands on his face. "Oh my god I thought I did all this time." "Well let's do it!" said Ron enthusiastically. "Ok!" You know where to get the stuff?" "Yeah, you can find it all around here... you know, it's not meant to be difficult..." Jerry chuckled and they both continued towards the gate leading out of the desert.
