Part 4: Chaos starts with a 'K'?
It was now Whirlwind and Grim Creeper's time to shine as the two were going to there direction they were assigned to take, but in the shadows to avoid being seen by the humans, luckily since Whirlwind is very fast for anyone to spot her and Grim is a ghost, it was easy for them. Sooner than later they managed to regroup with each other or a little rest. "So, any idea where we are?" Whirlwind asked. "Beats me. This place is already weird looking." Grim Creeper suggested. "Well maybe if we could find some kind of clue here maybe we could…" Whirlwind was interrupted when Grim said, "Wait a minute? A clue?" "Yeah, if we could find something important here, a clue, you know like a rag, broom, t-shirt, cupcake, or heck even a puppy, anything that could be important where we are." Whirlwind suggested. "You have been watching too many mystery shows Whirlwind." Grim said. "But if you say so, let's go find us that clue." he swung his scythe which created a wave of the same energy Ignitor and Spyro had, Whirlwind looked a little confused at the motion but didn't think much of it.
Sooner than later, after hours of finding a clue, they have found nothing yet. "Well so much for that clue idea." Grim said. "Ever heard of a little optimism?" Whirlwind asked. "There's still a chance we could find something." she said. Suddenly, Grim noticed something. "Keep your voice down." He commanded. "What for?" Whirlwind asked, as they soon hid behind a garbage bin, they popped their heads up and Grim pointed to the incoming robots coming near the alley. These robots looked more egged shaped with weird looking eyes and mouths, and pointy noses. "What are they?" Whirlwind asked. "Don't know, it doesn't look anything like those robots we fought back at Arkeus once." Grim Said. "although, the semblance is somewhat similar…" he kept on talking until Whirlwind spotted something in one of the robots hands. "Forget the robots, look at one of their hands." Whirlwind pointed out. Grim then takes a look and sees that one of the robots is holding a clear and red looking gem. "What do you think it is?" Grim asked. "Don't know, but I bet that could be important." Whirlwind said. "You mean like a clue?" Grim asked. "Yes." Whirlwind said. Grim rolled his eyes of annoyance and said, "alright, if that's important then let's go get it." Soon Grim jumped and attacked the robots one by one, and he was winning. After defeating the robot creatures popped out for every one of the robots he defeated, he was a bit confused at first, but his attention turned to the jewel they had as he then picked it up. "I don't know why this is so important to them." Grim said. "But I do sense some kind of…" he was soon interrupted as he heard a growl and out of nowhere, something punched him right in the back! Grim felt a little pain even though he's a ghost, but did a roll and recovered quickly. He then sees the creature that punched him as this angry looking red creature with long dreadlocks. He is wearing these yellow and green shoes with silver shoe pieces, and white gloves much like a boxing glove with 2 spikes on each of his knuckles of his hands, and he looks pretty angry. "Alright now, hand over that chaos emerald now, freak!" the red creature demanded. The word 'chaos' reminded him of the skylander's mortal enemy Kaos, but a little confused about the word emerald since its red and he thought emeralds were supposed to be green.
"One, I don't mind if you're color blind, but this is more likely a ruby than an emerald. Two, what does this have to do with Kaos? And three I already called dibs in this and you punched me right in the back, so if you want this, come and get it porcupine!" Grim Creeper said as he spun his scythe ready for battle. "I am an Echidna! And you're going to pay for this!" the red echidna shouted with anger and soon the two went into battle, its scythe vs. spiked knuckles, despite this it was a pretty even match. "Had enough?" Grim Creeper taunted. "Not yet!" the echidna said. "Alright than Knuckles, im not finished either!" Grim said as he spun his scythe. The red echidna was shocked by what he called him. "How'd you know my name already?" Knuckles asked. 'Wait his actual name is Knuckles?' Whirlwind thought as she was hiding. "You have spikes in your knuckles, and you are very punch happy." Grim explained. Knuckles growled in anger as he then jumped up and began to blow a punch right in Grim Creeper's stomach, but to his surprise, his fist punched through his body this time. "How?" Knuckles asked. "I'm a ghost." Grim said as soon, his limbs started to vanish and his ghost-like body came out of his suit, the suit grabbed Knuckles' wrists and gripped them to prevent him from moving. "Seems that your alliance with Eggman is more clever than I thought!" Knuckles growled. "Eggman?" Grim asked. Soon the ghost body returned his suit as he then dropped him. "What are you talking about? We don't know, and in fact, we don't know where the hell are we." Grim explained. "We?" Knuckles asked. That's when Whirlwind dashed in, right next to Grim Creeper. "He means me and him. Hi, I'm Whirlwind." She introduced. Grim took a sigh and said, "and I'm Grim Creeper."
"So you two don't work for Dr. Eggman?" Knuckled asked. "No. what kind of name is that?" Grim asked. "More importantly, what kind of alliance does this Eggman guy have?" Whirlwind asked. "A few days ago, eggman teamed up with this person from another world we don't know he is from, but over a few days, he has been finding more of the chaos emeralds." Knuckles explained. Grim took the emerald and held it in his hand and asked, "So there's more than this one?" "Yes, seven to be prosite, my allies already have one, and Eggman and his ally already have 5, so the one you have is the very last one." Knuckles explained. "Why is it so important to them?" Whirlwind asked. "A chaos emerald has most of the power in the universe, but if you collect all seven, you could be granted with more power than ever." Knuckles explained more. "Looks like we found something that could involve us and why we are here." Whirlwind explained. "You mean you came from that giant explosion?" Knuckles asked. "What big explosion?" the two asked. "About last week, before Eggman teamed up with this ally, there was a big explosion, bigger than anything I ever saw." Knuckles explained. "Maybe, but we could figure that out later, right now, if these emeralds are important, then maybe we should get the rest of them back." Grim Creeper suggested. "And who do you think is the new ally that eggman guy is working with?" Whirlwind asked. Grim thought about that and got something. "Kaos maybe?" Grim thought. "Why would the god of water be involved with this?" Knuckles asked. "No, Kaos from our world, with a K." Grim Creeper said. Knuckles felt a little confused by what he explained as he thought that chaos was spelled with 'CH' and not 'K'. "We don't have time for this, could you show us where this Eggman guy is? So we can kick his ass and get those emeralds back." Grim asked. "I like your style, Ghost. I am certain I can show you the way." Knuckles said. Soon Knuckles started gliding to Eggman's base with Whirlwind and Grim Creeper and Whirlwind following him right on top of the buildings.
