When Alec first entered the main living area of the apartment he just realized just how dirty it was. Books, ingredients, glass, and blood was everywhere, including Magnus' expensive looking couch. Secondly, he noticed that everyone was missing. Voices coming from a room on the other side of the apartment, he followed them. In the room Clary and Jace were making Luke comfortable in one of the beds in the spare rooms. Of course Luke would need rest too. He just went through the exact same thing Magnus did, just from the other side. Entering the room the attention turns to him.
"How's Magnus?" Clary asked..
"Still unconscious. I assume that he will stay that way for a while. He used a lot of magic and he has a fever."
"He'll be okay Alec just give him time".
Alec just nods his head, not voicing his concern for the warlock currently oblivious to the world a few rooms over.
"How are you feeling Luke?" Alec asks.
"Better. Thanks to you and Magnus. I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for him." Luke said sadly.
Alec can feel the tension in the air between Clary and Luke. He doesn't know the story and he honestly don't want to get involved so he goes to take his leave.
"Well obviously you guys have something to talk out so I am going to go and check on Magnus. I'm glad you are feeling better Luke. Let me know if you need anything."
At that Alec takes his leave.
Jace follows Alec out of the room. Alec goes for a handshake but Jace pulls him into a hug.
"Thank you." Jace said smiling. Alec smiles back as a silent sign of you're welcome as Jace goes back into the spare bedroom.
Alec gets to work on cleaning up the mess that is Magnus' loft. How much stuff can one person have? Well Magnus is a centuries old warlock and the High Warlock of Brooklyn. It does make sense that he would have a lot of belongings around. Books were put back on the shelfs and glass was swept up into the trash can. The last thing was the blood covered couch. Taking a bucket of soap and water and a cloth Alec gets to work trying to clean the blood off as best as possible.
A little while later, Alec heard Jace and Clary leave the room Luke is in and say that they are going to head back to the institute for the night.
"I'm going to stay here tonight and watch over Magnus and Luke. Neither one are in the shape to take care of themselves much less each other." Alec says.
"Alright" Jace says giving him a knowing look, "but if you need anything just call me".
Alec gives his thanks and bids them a farewell before turning back to the task at hand.
He worked tirelessly for a little longer before Alec gave up on trying to get the blood out of the couch. The couch was either simply past the point of saving or it would take magic to get rid of the stain. That would require Magnus. Something Alec was not too keen on at the moment. Alec decided that since he had done all the cleaning he was able to do he decided to check on the two charged under his care. He peaked into Lukes room to see that the werewolf had finally fallen into a restful sleep. Alec decided it was best to leave him be. He was more worried about the man that was still yet to wake up.
