CAUTION: (*) SPOILERS TO ESTELLE AND THE MARK OF ARACHNID: THE TRIDENT OF POSIEDON. (Not necessary to read but I do recommend reading it, it's my best work yet.)

Summary:

After the events of The Trident of Poseidon (You can find the story in my profile), Leo and Calypso go out for a date night.

Story:

"Are you sure you're going to be okay watching over Zoe?" Leo asked Sam.

"Don't worry Leo, I did babysitting before. Zoe and I are going to be fine. You and Calypso go have fun, okay?" Sam assures Leo that Zoe, their daughter, will be well looked after. Samantha Stacy, Daughter of Athena, was brought into the family after what happened to her father and having no relatives in New York. She wanted to continue going to school with Estelle so Leo and Calypso decided to be her foster parents. Since then, Sam was learning to settle in with them.

Before Leo could say anything else, Calypso came down the stairs with her dress on. Leo was awestruck at what she was wearing. A red dress with a single strap on it; a leather belt wrapped around her waist; wearing red high heels to match her dress and let her hair down instead of her normal braided ponytail.

To Leo, she looked like a goddess. Considering that she is ACTUALLY a goddess, he wasn't wrong.

"Ready?" Calypso asked.

Leo was tongue-twisted as he stared at his wife. All he could was nod.

"Wow, Calypso, you look amazing!" Sam said.

"Thanks, Sam. You sure you'll be alright watching Zoe tonight?"

"Yes, Calypso!" Sam said, "Ugh, don't worry you guys, Zoe and I will be okay. You guys have fun on date night, okay?"

Leo and Calypso haven't had a date night since before Zoe was born. When she came to their world, the main focus was for Zoe's health and happiness. And now that Sam is a part of this family and their business is stable, they felt it was time to have some time alone with each other.

"Alright, just call us if you need anything, okay?" Calypso replied as she pushed her husband out the door, who's still awestruck at her appearance. She even used a bit of makeup, despite looking gorgeous without it.

And so, Leo and Calypso went out for date night. Leo managed to make a reservation for a fancy dinner place down in Manhattan. As they arrived and took their seats, Calypso spoke.
"I must say, I'm impressed you managed to make a reservation here. I heard it's nearly impossible."

Leo smirked, "Only the best for my beautiful wife."

"Flattery won't save you tonight, Leo Valdez," Calypso said, clearly amused by Leo's attempted charms.

The two chuckles as the waiter arrived to ask for their orders.

Afterwards, they talked about events that occurred recently.

"It's crazy how much has changed last week," Calypso said.

"Tell me about it. I don't think any of us ever thought that Estelle would have spider powers*."

"And now she has a part-time job protecting New York and Olympus; Sam is moving in with us…"

"And don't forget about your latest invention, Mr. Stark," Calypso teased Leo. "Since when did you get the time to make that?" Calypso was referring to Leo's latest invention which was a suit of armor similar to that of Iron Man. The difference is that Leo used enchanted metal such as Celestial Bronze and Royal Gold, along with enchantments such as NordiecRunes and Hieroglyphics. The suit works well but it did have some flaws that Leo will need to adjust in the future. What can I say? Leo Valdez is a really good mechanic.

"Well, it was after we showed Zoe those Marvel movies. She's been loving Iron Man since then and I thought, 'I can make that.'"

Calypso recalls how Zoe cheers whenever Iron Man was on the TV.

"So, is that why you made it? To impress our daughter."

Leo fiddled around his drink and mumbled, "That and one other thing."

Calypso noticed and asked, "And what's that?"

"…To keep you guys safe."

She understood what he meant. He still hasn't recovered completely from Jason's death; not to mention that it put distance between him and Piper. She was like the sister he always needed. And now that she cut herself off from everyone, Leo felt alone.

Well, almost alone.

"Leo…" Calypso reaches down for one of his hands. "You need to stop doing this to yourself."

"Doing what?" He replied jokingly, hiding his inner pain. "I'm just making a real-life Iron Man. I'm not hurting anybody."

Calypso gave an unamused look, "This, Leo. Putting pressure on yourself; blaming yourself for what happened. Trying to save everyone on your own."

Leo sighs in defeat and nodded, "I know… it's just… the moment our little Zoe came into our life, I thought about how Jason told me he once dreamt of having a home. A family. And when our quest against Gaia was over, I thought he'd finally have peace. Then that whole Apollo's trials happened and now… he's gone…" Leo grips on Calypso's hand as he continues, "After I died to stop Gaia and save you, he searched for me for a while. Then Piper broke up with him and then… he died."

"Leo…"

"I know, honey… I know. I'm learning to deal with this guilt. I'd be lying if I said I'll move on from it, but I'm dealing with it, little by little," Leo smiles lovingly at her. "And I wouldn't be able to do it without you."

Later, their food arrived and while they enjoyed their meals, Calypso kept glancing at Leo. Despite what he said earlier, he was far from better, but he is making progress. She recalls those many nights where he'd have nightmares. Sometimes, he'd stay up all night just to avoid them. He would be jumpy at night and Calypso would have to calm him down. It was hard for both of them, but it's slowly getting better.

There were times that Calypso felt like she couldn't handle anymore, but she always bounced back. For Leo. The man who saved the world; who cheated death and came back to her. The man who gave her a future.

After they finished their dinner, Leo escorted Calypso back to their car.

"There's still one more place I want to take you, sunshine."

Calypso raises an eyebrow, "Why do I get the feeling I'm not going to like this."

"Trust me, you'll love this one."

Leo drives them to a remote place at the beach. When they arrived, Calypso spotted a spot that looked very familiar.

"Did you-"

"Yep, I remade the scene where we had our first kiss."

Calypso was in awe. At the spot was a small campfire with a little picnic blanket next to it; on the blanket was a basket holding two wine glasses and some wine; at the distance was a little raft similar to the one at her island.

"But… why?" She asked.

Leo took her hands and held them dearly, "I wanted to relive the moment you saved me, Calypso." Her eyes widened in shock at his reply. He continued, "Before I met you, I didn't really have much. I mean, I wasn't ready to die for our quest against Gaia. But I never really thought about what I was going to do afterwards. Hell… you were the first person I ever told about my dream to open up a shop. I know we joked about it before," Leo chuckles as he recalls the memory of Calypso finally laughing at his terrible jokes. "But you gave me something to be excited for in the future. You gave me something to live for. Sure I messed up a lot." Calypso recalls the many times Leo acted childish and how she snapped at him about it."But despite all my flaws and mistakes… you stayed by my side, no matter what. You could've found a guy far better than me, Sunshine. And trust me, you deserve nothing but the best. Yet you stayed with me, giving me something I always hoped to have… a home. So thank you, Calypso. Thank you for being by my side."

Calypso smiles as tears fall on her cheeks.

For nearly three millennia, she was imprisoned and forced to fall in love with heroes who wouldn't consider a life with her. Then came Leo Valdez, a scrawny yet brave fool who was willing to die (and quite literally might I add) to save her and build a future together. It took many hardships, patience and determination but they finally have something permanent together.

"Oh Leo…"

Calypso jumps up and hugs him.

Later, the two sat on the picnic blanket and reminisced about their time in Ogygia. Calypso recalls how annoying he was but Leo shrugs it off saying it was his charm.

"Oh don't lie, you were totally falling for me."

Calypso rolled her eyes but was still smiling. They sat there and enjoyed watching the shores and gaze upon the sky. The two were snuggling to keep warm from the breeze.

"Thank you, Leo. For everything." Calypso replied. "You weren't the only one who was saved that day. Before you came to my island, I lost hope of ever being free and being loved. I gave up thinking I can ever truly be redeemed. Then you fell into my life, quite literally might I add." Leo and Calypso chuckled at the memory. "And my entire world was changed forever. You gave me something to look forward to every day. And then, you gave me a dream. A future that included me in your life. When you left, I thought I gave up my one chance to be happy, yet you came back. You did what no man had ever done for me. And you didn't just stop there, you gave me a home, a career and a family. We had many bumps along the way, but we have a life… together."

Calypso places a hand on Leo's cheek as she stares at him, lovingly.

"So thank you, Leo Valdez. Thank you for existing in my life."

Leo smiles as he leans in and kisses his wife. They lay down and continue to kiss as the night goes on. Moments later, Leo pulled away and said, "We should head back, it's getting late."

Calypso wants to agree; but right now, they have the night all to themselves. She smirks and rolls them around, having her on top of Leo.

"On the contrary, mi amor," She replied as she slowly pulled her dress down. "The night is still young. And I want to recreate that night… if that raft didn't show.

The next day, Sam and Zoe woke up from the smell of breakfast. As they came downstairs, they saw Calypso making breakfast. However, Sam notices that Calypso seems to be glowing (Not literally). She was humming a song while smiling.

"Morning girls! Almost done with breakfast so be sure to brush your teeth, okay?"

"Okay! Morning mom!" Zoe says as she runs back upstairs to brush her teeth.

"So," Sam spoke. "I take it you enjoyed date night?"

Calypso giggles, "It was a night to remember."

She's not wrong… after all, nine months later, Jason Grace was born.

Bonus Scene:

While Leo and Calypso were out on date night, Zoe and Sam were watching TV before bed time when Zoe spoke.

"Sammy?" Zoe asked. "What's anime?"

Sam turns to Zoe with a serious tone and expression. "Zoe, before we can continue this conversation, you must know. If you wish to embark on this journey, there's no turning back. You will be consumed by that which is known as anime. Eventually, your very personality and soul will forever change. You will become somebody truly extravagant and terrifying." (She'll most likely go through an embarrassing phase. Just like Sam is going through right now. Problem is that she won't know that until later.) "You will never have a normal life ever again. So I must ask you before I answer. Do you TRULY wish to learn more about anime?"

This is… an oddly very serious conversation to have with a child. But, Zoe nodded.

…the poor fool.

Sam brought out the biggest grin she ever made.

"Let's start something small. Ever heard of Sword Art Online?"

Author's Note:

Hello there! Sorry that I haven't made any updates on this story, I was doing some work on my other projects, mostly my Estelle series. But it's done now and I still have time before I can post the sequel to it. For now, I'll be posting some works for Caleo; rewrite my Metal Gear Solid Fanfiction and continue where I left off in my SAO Fanfiction as well. I will also be doing spin-off stories on my Estelle series as well. Hope you enjoyed this story, the next one will be a three-part story.

Until the next update.

Also, I have a question for you guys and need your opinion on something:

If I were to include these characters in my Estelle series or just in the PJO universe, how and who should they be portrayed as? I already have somewhat of an idea but I want to hear what you guys think:

The Fantastic Four

Ant-Man and Wasp

The Guardians of the Galaxy
