"Well, there's another explanation..." Albert said with a strange expression. "Among the Muggles, a group of professional scientists discovered a substance, a protein that can catalyse the formation of egg shells, and this protein is only found in the ovaries of chickens. In other words, if there are no chickens, there is no such protein, so it is impossible to form egg shells at all. However, the formation of egg shells can protect the chicks from being successfully hatched. So they concluded that chickens came first, and then came eggs."
TL/N:This is not really correct, in fact the answer appears to be the opposite from a scientific standpoint, the ancestor of chickens laid an egg with a mutated chick that was the first chicken as we know it. If you ask eggs in general it's absolutely eggs because there were many species that laid eggs before the chicken or it's direct ancestor came into existence. This gene that's being talked about here is common in all birds and also long predates the first chicken.
Everyone froze at these words, even the Young Wizards from the Muggle world.
"I know you don't understand, but someone has verified that the chicken came first." Albert explained
"So..." Katrina asked tentatively, "do you think the Phoenix came first and then there was fire?"
"No, the world of magic is different from the Muggle world." Albert shook his head. "Phoenix and fire, I think it should be a cycle. The Phoenix will be reborn after it dies in the fire. Its life will just keep repeating forever. I don't think it makes sense to explore the origin of the Phoenix."
Katrina raised an eyebrow. Albert's answer wasn't bad.
"Impressive, even among Ravenclaw students, not many can answer it on the first time." the Ravenclaw boy behind Albert couldn't help but praise, "My name is Roger Davis, nice to meet you."
There was no choice but to admit defeat.
Roger Davis had actually faced the questions of the bronze eagle door-knocker before, but had answered them all incorrectly.
Most Ravenclaw freshmen were unable to pass the bronze eagle door-knocker's questions, and always needed to be accompanied by an older Ravenclaw student in order to enter and leave the common room.
"I'm curious, why were you assigned to Gryffindor?" Roger Davis asked what everyone was curious about.
"Who knows?"
The conversation ended there, because Professor Binns made an eye-catching entrance by walking through the blackboard and into the History of Magic classroom.
Ten minutes later, all the students in the classroom looked sleepy.
History of Magic was known as one of the most boring classes for good reason. Professor Binns always read from the textbook in a monotonous voice, and everyone just jotted down important names and dates. Even Ravenclaw students couldn't resist the lull.
The only one in the classroom who still had energy was Albert, who had a piece of candy in his mouth and was reading the book carefully, occasionally taking notes in another book.
"It's hard to believe that you can resist Professor Binns's hypnosis!" After class, the Weasley Twins looked at Albert with admiration, each putting an arm around his shoulders, "Please let us copy your notes on History of Magic."
Lee Jordan smirked as he already took the History of Magic notes from Albert.
"You need them again?" Albert rolled his eyes. During the History of Magic class, he had been multi-tasking, reading and taking notes at the same time.
For this, Albert had specifically upgraded Multi-Tasking to Level 2.
However, it was really useful for getting through History of Magic, after all, there were still five years of History classes to go.
"Do you know the rumours about Professor Cuthbert Binns?"
"What rumours?" The three of them were instantly drawn in.
"According to Hogwarts: A History," Albert whispered, "Professor Binns did not notice that he was dead, at least not at first."
"One day, Professor Binns got up to go to class, but he accidentally left his body in an armchair in front of the fire in the staff room. Of course, by then he was quite old."
"Wow!" The three were surprised to learn that this History of Magic professor had become Hogwarts's professor of History for good.
Before dinner, the three had copied the notes for History of Magic.
"Do we have another lesson this afternoon?" George asked, eager to take a ride on Charlie's Comet.
"There's one more lesson this afternoon, in Transfiguration." Lee Jordan said regretfully.
Albert muttered, "I bet that's definitely the most relaxing class yet!"
With only three lessons in one day, how could it not be relaxing?
That said, the British, who didn't take lunch seriously, were just grabbing a bite to eat at this time.
Albert gave up the idea of preparing a sandwich for himself. He hated eating sandwiches all day long. After drinking some pumpkin juice and a few pieces of stewed potatoes, he finished lunch in a hurry.
The twins were going to take advantage of the time to go out and explore, while Albert thought they should wait until after the Transformations class was over. After all, that's when they would have plenty of time and energy. As for the time between lunch and the start of the class, Albert planned to go to the castle courtyard to rest and read a book.
The courtyard was full of students, who gathered in groups to chat, or brought their lunches here to eat.
September's Hogwarts was no longer the sweltering summer heat, not to mention that it had rained the day before, and the breeze brought the coolness of autumn.
"If only I could conjure up a cushion," Albert sighed as he sat on the lawn, "I suddenly feel that it is quite important to learn Transfiguration."
"No, no, this is definitely not the reason to learn Transfiguration." Lee Jordan couldn't help but complain
"What do you think is in that forest?" Fred suddenly asked, looking into the Forbidden Forest in the distance.
"Dumbledore said there are werewolves in there."
"And centaurs."
"And probably other magical creatures." Albert continued, "Maybe the gamekeeper also keeps some strange creatures in the forest."
For example, what about Thestrals, eight-eyed spiders, Giants...
"By the way, how's your Disillusionment Charm coming along?" George changed the subject. He had no intention of going to the Forbidden Forest just yet. They liked adventure and excitement, not death. Besides, Werewolves had a notorious reputation in the magical world. One bite was all it took.
Currently, the most pressing issue for them was when they could start their nighttime adventures.
"It's not that easy to master the Disillusionment Charm." Albert said, taking out his wand and reciting a spell. He then lightly tapped a fallen leaf.
The colour on the surface of the leaf began to change, as if it had merged into his palm.
"It looks different from what I imagined." Lee Jordan said, scratching his head.
"You might not be able to tell from a distance, but in practice..." Albert shook his head helplessly, "it will be immediately obvious up close."
"It's a bit like a chameleon."
"Its principle is similar to the protective colouration of a chameleon." Albert did not directly use the Experience Pool experience to upgrade the Disillusionment Charm. He planned to spend time slowly figuring it out on his own, and he would only feel a sense of accomplishment when he had completely mastered it.
The learning process is still very important. Only in this way will he feel like he is going to Hogwarts. He doesn't want to miss this experience.
Albert is ready to spend the next two months teaching himself the Disillusionment Charm.
