"Mom. Im alright. Its only going temporary until dad is found." Said Kyra putting her winter beanie on. "I dont know about this. Hes not exactly an idiot as the police expects." Said the woman. "Obviously." Said Kyra hearing the door open. She looked seeing it was L walking in with his backpack on his left shoulder. "We'll be careful. Call you soon okay." Said Kyra hanging up. "She wont worry for long. As long you two arent alone and away from each other. He cant find you both. Ready?" Said L. "Yeah. Light texted me saying he will try to join us." Said Kyra. "Anyways we found out who the blood belonged to and it lead to a young woman who was found dismembered about three weeks ago before you found that note." Said L watching Kyra grab her bag and her phone. "Hes showing us one of his many ideas of what he'll do me or mom once he gets us before Kira does." Said Kyra following him out to her room. "Im not surprised he hasnt seen him." Said L looking at her. "Wanna grab something to drink before we get to class?" He suggested seeing her upset through her eyes. "Sounds good." Said Kyra going to the elevator with him. They got their main floor with two officers leading them out for safety to the van. L earlier instructed them where they wanted to go first before they looked out the windows once they started moving. He felt his phone vibrate taking it out seeing it was Light answering it while looking at Kyra. "Hello Light." Said L. "Listen im going have to meet you and Kyra later. I have something important i have to do. Hows she?" Said Light. "The same. Just upset but we are going to stop to get something to drink. See you soon." Said L hanging up. He looked back at Kyra who looked down at her lap in deep thought before gently placing a hand on op pf her hands making her look up at him. "I'm not going to let anything happen. You are fully aware of this." said L. "Maybe thats he is expecting." said Kyra.
"Perhaps but you cant be left alone without protection. I know that you took self-defense." said L. "Not even weapons like a gun of something will be pointless." said Kyra. "Which is why i got you this." said L handing it to her. "A strawberry keychain?" said Kyra seeing it the two strawberries with long V shaped stem attached to them. "I thought it can help." said L. "im sorry just my dad is just . . ." "Hey. Youre safe with us." said L seeing them arrive at their location. "Come on." said L taking her hand leading her out. He walked with her to the small coffee shop once the van drove away letting Kyra go in before him. "What will it be?" said the cashier. "One Mocha Latte and two of your double fudge brownies." Said L. "Alright." Said the cashier as Light came in behind them. Kyra pulled out her wallet but L handed the money to them giving him a look with a raised brow. "You under stress. I thought you appreciate what im doing." Said L. "Hello." Said Light getting their attention. "Hey Light." Sais Kyra. "What brings you here?" Said L looking at him as they stepped aside. "I saw you two coming here and noticed Kyra was distracted by something."Said Light looking at her. "I think its better if we all talked once we're alone." Said L grabbing the bag and Kyra taking her drink. "That bad huh?" Sais Light walking with them outside. "The blood was on the note belonged to a woman that was found dismembered three weeks ago. Hes painting me and my mom a pictures of hell do to us." Said Kyra drinking her beverage slowly. "That horrible." Said Light. "Are you sure you want to be out in public when he's still out there?" Said Light. "Im not going be weak. If that's what you mean." Said Kyra. "We are only looking out for you since we do have three killers loose." Said Light. "Youre right but my dad can be anywhere or be anyone for all we know." Said Kyra feeling Light hugging her shoulders. "Dont think about him." Said Light rubbing her back. He looked down at her taking ger hand in his giving it a gentle squeeze and faced forward seeing someone dressed in all dark move back from the corner like they were watching them.
'Gonna have to get Ryuk to watch him.' He thought once they got their school going to class that they all had together. Kyra sat down in the back taking out what hse needed with Light and L sitting on each side of her. They continued doing their class work through out the whole day until it was almost time to get home. Kyra excused herself to teh bathroom walking down the halls alone. She went inside taking her time hearing the door open which she didnt pay much attention to until the lock was heard with the lights turned off making her freeze. "Whos there?" Said Kyra seeing nothing in front of her but the stall door and the window that had very little light source in the darkness. "Answer me. Whos out there?" She said. "Step out, my love." Said a voice. "Not fucking happening." Said Kyra. "Dont you want help getting of your problem. I can help." Said the voice. Kyra opened the door slowly stepping out barely seeing anything taking a few steps forward. "Thats far enough." Said the voice now front of her by two feet. "How can you help? I dont know you." Said Kyra. "But you have heard my name before your father made himself known here." Said the voice. "Kira?" Said Kyra. "Thats right. If you want this nightmare of yours to stop. Youre going have to trust me." Said Kira. "You go for the names and face. Its a complete waste of time. So just leave me alone before i scream." Said Kyra then felt her back hit the tile wall with a body pressed against her and a hand covering her mouth. "Do that and i wont kill your father but everyone in your family. Would be a pity to hurt a beautiful girl like you. Now are you going to listen to me?" Said Kira. Kyra nodded feeling his breath on her face and his face buried into her hair inhaling her scent. "Sorry. I watched you long enough that i cant help myself. Now i have ways of getting what i can on finding your father. But i need you to get his real name." Said Kira letting go of her mouth slowly. "Its not going to be easy. He had gone by so many names." Said Kyra. "Youre a very intelligent girl. Im sure you figure something out. Im going to leave now. So you better close your eyes if you know whats good for you." Said Kira. Kyra did as she was told feeling him get off of her but felt a hand grab her chin and lips claiming roughly. "I'll talk to you soon, my Queen." Kira whispered on her left ear before leaving her alone with the lights back on. Kyra opened her eyes seeing the empty bathroom and left to get to class taking a seat not realizing her body was shaking very little. "Kyra is everything okay?" Sais L looking at her behavior. "I dont want to talk about it." Said Kyra being the first to leave once school was over.
