I don't own Disney's The Owl House. I do, however own the OC known as Danielle Hopkins. Hope you all enjoy my story on this lovely show.
Chapter Forty-Five
Staring at Danny, Emperor Belos warps her out of his mind. A bright red flash manifests in the head of the Titan. Danny is still held in place before being contained in a translucent red sphere. Emperor Belos walks forward, eyeing Danny, as she tries to process what happened.
"Not good on the stomach," said Danny, holding her belly before looking around. "This can't be good. Maybe I can…"
"Go ahead and try, little girl," said Emperor Belos, appearing before Danny.
"Meep," said Danny, trying to back up only to feel the sphere shock her slightly. "Wha… tha-that can't be possible. I'm a…"
"A human soul being corrupted by this realm," said Emperor Belos, staring at Danny. "But I can help you. I can help you reach heaven."
"I've already passed on as you can see," said Danny, looking at Emperor Belos fearfully. "I don't need your help getting back there."
"Oh, so I'm already talking to someone from heaven," said Emperor Belos, looking at Danny. "Then why are you down here in such a realm?"
"Um… curiosities sake," said Danielle, scared and nervous.
"This realm will only corrupt you," said Emperor Belos, staring at Danny.
"Yeah, I think I'm gonna stay quiet right now," said Danny, turning around while thinking. "Oh, my goodness, I can't let him know I'm lying. I can never keep a straight face when lying."
"What is heaven like? Is it just like it's been told? And God, what is he like? And Jesus…" said Emperor Belos, before glaring at Danny. "Answer me child!"
"Aaaaaaaaaaaah!" screamed Danny, being shocked by the sphere.
"I am your better, child!" said Emperor Belos, staring at Danny. "You will answer me."
"I don't have to tell you diddly-squat," said Danny, as she was shocked. "You are not…
"You may be just a spirit but you are still a woman," said Emperor Belos, glaring at Danny. "You have no right to disobey me. Now answer!"
"I-I-I-I am not even fro-from your Earth," screamed Danny, as the shocks lightened up. "Yeah, that's right, not your Earth. So, you ha-have no rights to be shocking me. Women are seen as equals anymore on my Earth."
"So that's where the Half Witch got it from. And your president is a woman," said Emperor Belos, eyeing Danny. "Such blasphemy. It would seem your Earth is already falling from grace. It matters not. I could careless for your Earth. All I care about is correcting mine back down its rightful path."
"I actually can't remember if the president is a woman right now," said Danny, slightly glaring at Emperor Belos. "Too many shocks to think right."
"I will get my answers out of you," said Emperor Belos, raising his staff which was sparking. "Now speak! What is my Earth like now? How much do the women think they can be our equals? How…"
"Your Earth is no different from mine. Times change, wars happened, technology advanced," replied Danny, curling herself inwards as to stay away from the sparks around the sphere. "Equal rights between men and women, trade between lands. You'll just be seen as a national threat or sent to Area 51 to be experimented on."
"Not if I petrify everyone that stands in my way," said Emperor Belos, glaring at Danny. "I already now how to mass petrify. The people will come my way eventually. I already plan on making an example with the Half Witch's father."
"Jacob…" thought Danny, before being shocked again.
"The cloth is off. Good," said Aster, as the cloth falls off the tablet before hearing screaming. "Huh… Danny? Danny!"
"Oh, I didn't know you knew her," said Emperor Belos, as Aster got between the two.
"Stop it! Stop it right now!" shouted Aster, looking at Emperor Belos. "You're hurting her."
"It's what she gets for not following my orders," said Emperor Belos, intensifying the shock.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" screamed Danny, crying.
"Stop it! Stop it!" shouted Aster, looking from Danny to Emperor Belos. "Harming spirits like her will only…"
"Will what Collector?" asked Emperor Belos, eyeing Aster.
"Spirits or souls, whatever you call it that have passed on should not be harmed," said Aster, looking at Emperor Belos. "Consider it taboo or forbidden but they are not be harmed if they're ones from Heaven or Hell. It will send out an alarm for an investigation."
"But this one was clinging to that one half human girl. She says she has no problem getting back to Heaven but I highly doubt she was telling the truth if she's still here," said Emperor Belos, looking at Aster. "Meaning she hasn't truly ascended or descended."
"She's bright," said Aster, confusing Emperor Belos. "Just look at her. Danny's colors are shining bright. If she were to ascend to Heaven, her colors would be bright. Darken if she were to descend but she's bright. She's bright!"
"She could just be fooling us," said Emperor Belos, before walking away as Danny falls unconscious. "If I'm not going to get any answers out of her, then I have better things to do now."
"Danny," said Aster, placing his hand against the sphere as Danny went fuzzy. "Huh…"
Still unconscious in the sphere, Danny appears in a bright area. Clear blue skies, fog at her feet. Looking around, Danny is pounced on by something and falls to the ground. Rubbing her head, Danny cries upon seeing a face she hasn't seen in a long time.
"Sandy… Sandy! Oh my gosh, I missed you so much!" said Danny, as a red golden retriever greeted her before two others much lighter in color showed up. "Sadie! Sasha! Oh my gosh, I missed my fur babies… my fur sisters! Oh my gosh, I missed you!"
"Danielle," said a Feminine Voice, walking over with some others.
"Mom! Dad! Nicole!" said Danny, getting up and running over, hugging her parents and twin sister. "I missed you… oh my gosh, did I miss you."
Danny's mom was about five foot six inches. Had shoulder length brown hair with some gray on the sides, hazel eyes and a light olive complexion. Wore a simple green blouse with a gold oriental design, light denim jeans, and white flat heeled dress shoes.
Danny's Dad stood at six foot. Had white hair that made you think of q-tips but was growing out, brown eyes, and fair complexion with a construction tan. Wore an orange short sleeve Harley Davidson t-shirt and gray pajama shorts and was bare foot.
Nicole was about just a smidge taller than Danny. Same brown hair, same eye color and same complexion but was slightly heavier looking. Wore bifocal wine-colored oval glasses. Attire was a light pink sleeveless dress with a white feather design and was also bare footed like her dad.
"Wait…" said Danny, gasping. "Danielle is not dying, is she?"
"No, she is not," replied Danny's Mom, reassuring her daughter. "You're just visiting us is all."
"So, all those shocks…" said Danny, before taking in a deep breath. "I'm so sorry."
"You have nothing to be sorry for," said Danny's Mom, looking at her daughter. "We already…"
"Yes, I do. I favored you more than Dad," said Danny, looking at her mom than her dad. "I'm sorry but I just did. I know you worked construction and you were tired by the end of the day. I knew you drank, heck you were passed out one night under the picnic table that one night when we were still young."
"Yeah, I was plastered that night," said Danny's Dad, remembering that night. "But you're…"
"Please just let me get it out," said Danny, looking at her dad. "Even when you started up your own construction business, you were busy. Most of the arguments happened was because you started them. I hated whenever you argued with mom. Then when you hurt your back and had to stop your company, you started paying some more attention to us but we still had to watch what we said. It was like walking on thin ice. You're a bully dad… a bully but… … I still love and respect you. I wouldn't be here today if you never gotten together with mom."
"I actually know all about it. We all do," said Danny's Dad, looking at his daughter. "Passing on meant we learned more that we didn't see and stuff. I never meant for you to bottle up some of your emotions like that."
"Well, you did," said Danny, huffing before looking at her parents. "How are your backs by the way? They don't hurt anymore, do they?"
"Like it never happened," replied Danny's Dad, looking at his daughter.
"And I have feeling back in my leg," said Danny's Mom, stomping her right foot. "See."
"Also, Danielle," said Nicole, looking at Danny. "Stop blaming yourself for that day."
"You got a pitchfork in your foot that day all because I walked into Aunt Janet's lot," said Danny, looking at Nicole. "Sure, it was an empty lot but I should have known since we passed by the shed."
"But it was also my fault for following you," said Nicole, looking at Danny. "I should have stayed on the path we normally take to mommom's house. So, stop putting all the blame on you. It was my fault as well."
"I don't think I can," said Danny, closing her eyes before looking at her parents and twin sister. "What I don't understand right now is…"
"Why you didn't end up in Heaven," said Danny's Dad, looking at Danny.
"Your soul is different from ours," said Danny's Mom, looking at Danny. "There is more than one type of mortal soul."
"Huh?" said Danny, confused.
"Me, your dad, your sisters, every one in our family are normal mortal souls. We only reincarnate on our designated realm," said Danny's Mom, looking at her daughter. "Then there are ones that can reincarnate in any mortal realm."
"So basically, world hoppers," said Danny, wiping her tears away.
"Then there are ones like the prior but can reincarnate as any sentient being," said Danny's Mom, looking at her daughter.
"So, they can be say elves or dwarves, etcetera," said Danny, looking at her mom.
"Right. And then there is you," said Danny's Mom, looking at her daughter. "A mortal soul that can become immortal. It's extremely rare and they pass on to an area where an immortal can choose that soul to be their child."
"Like Lady Aria did with me," said Danny, looking at the ground. "But it's not like I won't see you again. It will just be a really long time before Danielle passes on or whatever happens to an immortal soul that reaches their end."
"Danielle, listen to me," said Danny's Mom, looking at her daughter. "Immortal souls don't really pass on and go to Heaven or Hell that we mortals do. This is our last chance to see you."
"That's not fair! That's not fair! That's not fair!" shouted Danny, crying. "I've been wanting to see you again only to find out this. That this is my last time to see you!"
"Danielle, please…" said Danny's Mom, looking at her daughter.
"I pinkie promised Nicole that we would be twins again in another life… that she could be the older one next time," said Danny, before looking at Nicole. "I pinkie promised you and now I can't keep it. It's not fair!"
"It's okay," said Nicole, looking at Danny. "Besides, we've all reincarnated a few times before getting to see you again."
"What?" said Danny, slightly confused. "You've already reincarnated?"
"Danielle, our Earth is no longer habitable," said Danny's Mom, looking at her daughter. "You've been sleeping for a long time in that area while our Earth kept going. Our sun is now a Red Giant. Earth is uninhabitable."
"No no no-no-no," said Danny, slumping to the ground. "Not only can I no longer see you again, now I learn our Earth is no longer habitable. It's bad enough that I'm having a hard time remembering things since the so called petrification ceremony but…"
"That would be because your current incarnation is ascending to immortal status," said Danny's Mom, looking at her daughter. "You're going into a life long dormant. And because of what that man just done to you, it triggered it to move much faster."
"No way," said Danny, paling quite a bit. "Lady Aria and some others are still…"
"They were ejected in time," said Danny's Dad, looking at his daughter. "But they are feeling the shocks from that spell."
"Well, at least they're out," said Danny, before looking at her parents and sister. "I don't want to leave just yet."
"Unfortunately, you have to go back," said Danny's Mom, looking at her daughter. "There's someone waiting for you."
"Wait… Aster," said Danny, before holding her mom's hands. "I don't wanna…"
"I love you," said Danny's Parents and Sister, hugging Danny. "Thank you for being in our life."
"I love you too," said Danny, hugging back as they all slumped to the ground.
More members of the family appeared and hugged Danny, including the family pets, whimpering and meowing against her as she stroked their fur. Fading out of the area, Danny slowly wakes up and sees that Aster was watching over her. But she also saw someone else. The soul of the petrified human was standing before her.
"Danny! You're awake," said Aster, staring at Danny. "Are you alright? Are you hurt?"
"In more ways than one," said Danny, wiping some tears away. "Can Aster see you or is it just me?"
"Huh?" said Aster, confused.
"Just you," said the Person, staring at Danny.
Now that the person didn't look petrified in her eyes, Danny could really see them. Short chin length jet black hair, coppery bronze complexion, and eyes that reminded her of warm honey. Dark blue sleeveless shirt with a design of the pokémon Terapagos on it with a white shirt sleeve open shirt over it, brown jeans that were tucked into grey short hiking boots. A gold loop earring in their left ear and gold bangles on their wrists.
"That's not fair to Aster," said Danny, confusing Aster more. "He wants to see you too."
"Wait… are you seeing…" said Aster, staring at the spot where Danny was looking. "Amani, is that you?"
"That's your name?" said Danny, looking at the person. "Amani."
"Amani Blackthorne, please to meet you," said the Person, introducing themself with a slight bow.
"You know… I can't tell whether you're a guy or a girl," said Danny, staring at Amani. "And your voice doesn't help either."
"Male here," said Amani, looking at Danny before stroking the top of Aster's head. "And I'm here little one."
"… …" said Aster, reaching up as he felt Amani's touch. "Amani."
"Why are you here?" asked Danny, looking at Amani.
"I can't pass on completely until Philip is dealt with," replied Amani, looking at Danny. "And neither can the Golden Guards."
"Aaah!" squeaked Danny, seeing the Golden Guards peering through the double doors. "That's gonna give me nightmares."
"What will?" asked Aster, looking at Danny.
"You don't want to know," replied Danny, shuddering. "So, Amani, are you Egyptian or…"
"Native American on dad's side, Egyptian on mom's side," said Amani, sitting Indian style in midair. "It looks like you're in a pickle. That sphere won't let you out. Thought as much for that man to even harm a soul."
"Do you…" said Danny, looking at Amani.
"Know about this realm, yes," said Amani, looking at Danny. "One of the better shows that aired on Disney that year. It's the reason why I tried to help Collector as best as I could."
"Philip interfered, didn't he," said Danny, looking at Amani.
"Of course he did. And he had perfected petrification when he found out how much I was influencing Collector," said Amani, looking at Danny. "Nor did he like my Native American heritage. He tried everything to keep Collector away from me."
"What happened on that last day?" asked Danny, looking at Amani.
"What I thought was right. I had a vial of Titan's Blood I was able to procure myself," replied Amani, remembering back. "I was able to find the tablet and hightailed it out of there but I was found out. Philip followed and petrified me with a smile on his face. I can remember him calling me a savage as he ranted at the last moment before I was fully petrified."
"Amani," said Danny, feeling for him.
"The cycle needs to end," said Amani, looking at Danny. "I can hear it calling out for him. The wails of the ones that he ended both good and bad, I can hear. Fire and brimstone is one he will see or the complete eradication of his soul by Soul Eaters or Devourers, whatever they were called in that anime."
"Those things are real?!" said Danny, shocked and scared.
"Don't know, I just brought it up," said Amani, looking at Danny. "That man deserves it after what he's done."
"Now what? I'm trapped here and the Day of Unity is just around the corner," said Danny, looking at the ground. "Danielle probably felt all those shocks as well."
"Belos is gonna regret hurting you," said Aster, looking at Danny.
"Can you two… please stay here?" asked Danny, looking at Amani and Aster. "I don't… I don't want to be alone right now."
"Of course," said Amani, staying nearby.
"Sure," said Aster, staying nearby as well. "I can tell you about what my realm is like."
"I'd like that," said Danny, before thinking. "Before I go dormant."
And so, Danny listened as much as she could. Amani suspected something was up but decided to leave it be and let her tell when ready. Danny could feel it, slowly ever slowly the dormancy closing in on her but she wanted to relish whatever she could while still here.

"Oh, by the Morning Light," said Aria, dodging left and right of the red lightning raining all over the area that was Danny's mind. "Everyone find a safe place. Don't let it touch you."
But it was for naught, the red lightning increased in intensity. There was no safety. Whoever remained was ejected quite harshly as the red lightning hit them. Aria took on a lot before she was ejected and flew back to Morning Star Palace.

"Anna," said Danny's Dad, reaching and grasping his wife's hand.
"I'll be alright Jim," said Anna, staring at the spot where Danny stood. "It's just heartbreaking that I'll never see her again. One of my baby girls… my Danielle…"
