1 week later*
The sun-drenched hallways of their home echoed with the sound of giggles and footsteps as Pari, with a mischievous grin, darted from the living room into the kitchen. Purvi, her eyes sparkling with playfulness, chased after her, their laughter filling the air.
Purvi: Pari yahan aao bhaago mat...
Pari squealed with delight, her ponytail bouncing as she ran.
Pari: Pakad kar dikhao aunty.
But Purvi was too quick. She finally caught up to Pari, scooping her up in her arms and twirling her around. Pari let out a delighted shriek as Purvi lifted her off the ground, spinning her around in a circle.
Acp, watched from the couch, a warm smile spreading across his face.
As Purvi continued to spin Pari around, the little girl's giggles grew louder, filling the room with infectious laughter. Finally, Purvi gently set Pari down, hugging her tight.
Purvi: Chalo bahut hua ab breakfast kar lo.
Pari: Nhi aunty, papa aaj hospital se aayenge main unhi ke saath khaana khaungi.
Purvi: pr unhe aane mai thoda time lagega beta kitni sari formalities hoti hain hospital mai.
Acp: Purvi, beta karne do ise wait. Daya ka call aaya tha wo log nikal chuke hain hospital se.
Purvi: Ohh.
Acp: Acha mujhe headquarters jaana hai thodi der mai aajaunga.
Purvi: Ji sir.
He left, after sometime, the doorbell rang. Purvi's heart skipped a beat as she opened the door to find Abhi standing there, looking a bit pale but smiling weakly. He was finally home after a week in the hospital!
Pari squealed with delight, running to her father and flinging herself into his arms. "Papa"!
Abhi hugged her tight, his eyes closed in relief.
Abhi: Baby, I've missed you so much!
Daya and Shreya, who had accompanied Abhi home from the hospital, exchanged warm smiles with Purvi.
They helped Abhi sit down at the table, Pari still clinging to his arm.
Pari: humne aapko bahut miss kiya papa.
Abhi smiled, his eyes shining with gratitude.
Abhi: Maine bhi tum logon ko bahut miss kiya.
Purvi: Breakfast laga du? Pari bhi aapka hi wait kar rhi thi.
Daya: Haan mujhe bhi bahut bukh lagi hai.
Abhi: Dad kahan hai purvi?
Purvi: Sir headquarters gaye hain kuch der mai aate hi honge.
Abhi: Acha.
The family sat down together, sharing a warm and joyful breakfast, grateful to have Abhi home at last.
Later ,that evening, Acp, Abhi, Purvi, Daya, Shreya, and Pari are all seated on the couch, surrounded by snacks and. They're excitedly discussing which movie to watch.
Pari: Barbie dekhe.?
Daya: nhi, koi achi movie dekhte hain.
Pari: Please chachu.
Daya: No means No.
Shreya: Daya dekhte hain na wahi uska mann hai.
Daya: Mujhe nahi dekhni.
Acp: Toh mat dekho hum wahi dekhenge jo hamari pari decide karegi.
Just then, the doorbell rings. Abhi gets up to answer it, revealing Tasha, their colleague and close friend.
Tasha: hello, disturb toh nhi kiya aap logon ko.
Abhi: Bilkul nhi aao na.
Pari: Hello bua. Aap bhi join karo family movie night main hume.
Tasha: aww sorry beta next time. Actually mujhe shopping pe jaana hai mere dimag se nikal gaya kal mujhe meri friend ki Shaadi main jana tha kuch shopping nhi ki maine.
Shreya: Oh yeh toh gadbad ho gayi.
Tasha: Shreya bhabhi main soch rahi thi aap saath chalti toh.
Daya: pr tasha hamara family movie ka plan tha.
Abhi: Tum purvi ko le jaao. Wo chali jayegi, kyun hai na purvi?
Purvi looks taken aback, feeling a pang of hurt and exclusion.
Purvi "forced smile": haan main chali jaungi tasha ke saath.
Tasha: thek hai fir chalo. Aap log karo enjoy.
As they leave, Purvi can't help but feel a little left out, wondering if she's truly part of Abhi's family.
After 3 hours, Tasha and Purvi arrived home.
Purvi pushed open the door, fumbling for the light switch. As the lights flickered on, she gasped in shock. The entire house was transformed into a vibrant, colorful wonderland. Streamers and balloons danced in the air, and a giant banner reading "Will you marry me, Purvi?" stretched across the living room.
Her eyes widened as she took in the sea of familiar faces, Cid whole team was there with family member's. ACP, Daya, Shreya, and little Pari all held handmade signs, beaming with joy. "Will you be my daughter-in-law ?" ACP's sign read. Daya's and Shreya's signs asked, "Will you be our bhabhi?" Pari's tiny hands held a scribbled "Will you be my mommy?"
Purvi's mind reeled, trying to process the sudden surprise. She looked around, her gaze darting from one face to another, her heart racing with excitement and confusion.
Purvi: Yeh sab?
Tasha: Hamara plan tha aapko bahar bhejne ka.
Just then, Abhi emerged from the crowd, a radiant smile on his face. He walked towards her, his eyes locked on hers, and gently dropped to one knee.
Abhi: Purvi, will you be my forever Purvi? Will you marry me?
Tears of joy streaming down her face, Purvi nodded eagerly.
Purvi: A..haan.
But as Abhi opened the small box, Purvi's eyes widened in shock. Instead of a ring, the box revealed a pair of earrings – the same earrings she had lost five years ago, her mother's last gift to her.
Purvi's hands flew to her mouth, her eyes locked on the earrings.
Purvi: Y..yeh earrings aapko kaise? Matlab kahan se mile?
she stammered, overwhelmed with emotion. Abhi smiled, his eyes shining with love.
Abhi: 5 saal pehle jiske pas tumne yeh khoye the wo mai tha. Main uss waqt hi tumhe yeh dena chahta tha lekin ussi din malum chala ki tum mujhe chhod kar jaa chuki ho.
Tasha: are bhai agar aap ussi din bhabhi ko propose kr dete toh shayad aaj hum itne pyare couple ke love ko witness nhi kar paate aur na ise itna special bana paate.
Acp: Haan bilkul sahi kaha.
Purvi's heart overflowed with love and gratitude as she gazed at Abhijeet, the earrings, and their loved ones surrounding them.
As Purvi gazed at the earrings, tears of joy streaming down her face, Abhi rose from his knee and swept her into a tender embrace. They hugged each other tightly, the room erupting in cheers and applause.
Purvi signaled to Pari, who squealed with delight and ran to join the hug, wrapping her small arms around both Abhi and Purvi. The three of them stood there, locked in a warm, loving embrace.
ACP, beaming with happiness, stepped forward, his voice filled with emotion.
Acp: Agle hafte shaadi hai dono ki.
Abhi: shaadi? Agle hafte?
Daya: Haan bhai dad ne pehle hi sab fix kar diya hai.
The room was filled with laughter, tears, and the warmth of love and family.
As they hugged, Purvi whispered to Abhi, "I love you."
Abhi smiled, his eyes shining with happiness. "I love you too, Purvi. Forever and always."
The scene ended with a sense of joy, love, and new beginnings, as the family and friends celebrated the union of Abhi and Purvi.
Next week*
The night air was filled with the sweet scent of flowers and the soft glow of twinkling lights, laughter and music,
as Abhijeet and Purvi's wedding celebration reached its peak. The guests eagerly awaited the arrival of the bride and groom.
Abhi, looking dashing in his white sherwani, couldn't take his eyes off Purvi, who shone like a radiant star in her red lehenga. They exchanged sweet glances, their hearts overflowing with love and excitement.
Pari, twirled around, her eyes sparkling with excitement. She had never seen her father so happy, and she knew that Purvi was the reason. Pari had always felt a deep connection with Purvi, who had showered her with love and affection from the moment they met.
As Purvi smiled at her, Pari felt a sense of security wash over her. She knew that she had found a mother who would never hit or scold her, a mother who would love her unconditionally.
"Mumma," Pari whispered, tugging on Purvi's lehenga.
Purvi bent down, embracing Pari in a warm hug.
Purvi: Yes beta?
Pari: I love you.
Purvi: I love you so much
Abhi, witnessing the tender moment, felt his heart overflow with joy. He knew that he had made the right decision in marrying Purvi, not just for himself, but for Pari as well. Together, they would be a happy family, free from the shadows of their past.
Other side, Kishen paced back and forth in the dimly lit room, his face twisted in a snarl. His eyes blazed with fury as he barked orders at his goons.
Kishen: Chhodunga nhi un logon ko, pehle mere bhai ko maar dala aur ab meri beti ko jail main dal diya. Suno tum log aaj hi mujhe uss abhijeet ki laash chahiye ya fir uski biwi yahan chahiye zinda.
His goons nodded nervously, avoiding eye contact with their enraged boss.
Man: Y..yes sir.
Kishen's anger seemed to grow with each passing moment.
Kishen: Aisa haal karunga ki zindagi bhar yaad rakhega.
The goons exchanged nervous glances, but nodded again. They knew better than to disobey Kishen's orders.
Kishen barked, waving his hand dismissively.
Kishen: Niklo ab yahan se. Ya toh mujhe abhijeet ki biwi chahiye ya uski laash.
The goons quickly filed out of the room, eager to escape Kishen's wrath. As they disappeared into the night.
Abhijeet's house,
Purvi stood in front of the dressing table, her fingers reaching for the clasps of her jewelry. It was midnight, and the wedding celebrations had finally wound down. As she began to remove her earrings, the lights in the room suddenly flickered and died.
Before she could react, a hand clamped over her mouth, silencing her. Purvi's heart raced as she tried to struggle, but a familiar sensation made her skin prickle. The person behind her sucked her earlobe, sending shivers down her spine.
With a surge of adrenaline, Purvi lightly hit her elbow into his stomach. The hand on her mouth loosened, and she broke free.
She spun around, her eyes blazing with anger. With a swift motion, she turned on the light, and the room was bathed in a warm glow.
As the light illuminated the space, Purvi's gaze locked onto Abhi's mischievous grin. He stood before her, his eyes sparkling with amusement, his hands raised in surrender.
Purvi exclaimed, her voice a mix of relief and exasperation.
Purvi: Yeh kya harkat hai?
Abhi chuckled: I couldn't resist, You look so beautiful, even in the dark.
Abhi's hands wrapped around Purvi's waist, pulling her close. "Come," he whispered, his breath tickling her ear.
But Purvi pushed him away, a playful glint in her eye.
Purvi: Time dekha hai? 2 baj rahe hain kab se intezar kar rhi thi. Kaha the?
Abhi's grin faltered for a moment before he recovered.
Abhi: woo, hamare suhaagrat hai na toh thoda nervous ho gaya tha.
Purvi chuckled, her laughter like music: Nervous? Aap? Abhijeet, the great CID officer?
Abhi's face turned red, and he pulled her close again.
Abhi: Are yar tum yahan aao, pehle hi bahut time waste ho gaya hai ab aur nhi karte hain.
Purvi's heart skipped a beat as she felt his warm breath on her skin. She smiled, her eyes sparkling with love and desire.
Purvi: Kahin jaa nahi rahi main.
Abhi: Jaane bhi nhi dunga.
As their lips met, Abhi's kiss deepened, and Purvi felt herself getting lost in the intensity of the moment. They stumbled towards the bed, their bodies entwined, and fell onto the soft mattress.
Abhi's hands roamed over Purvi's body, his fingers tracing the curves of her neck. He carefully unclasped her necklace, his fingers brushing against her skin, sending shivers down her spine.
As he started sucking her neck, Purvi's eyes fluttered closed, and she let out a soft sigh. She ruffled Abhi's hair, her fingers tangling in his locks as she pulled him closer.
Abhi's mouth moved slowly, his lips leaving a trail of kisses along her neck. Purvi's skin tingled, and she felt her heart racing with excitement.
The room was silent, except for the sound of their heavy breathing and the soft rustling of clothes. The world outside melted away, leaving only the two of them, lost in their own little bubble of passion and love.
As Abhijeet's mouth continued to explore her neck, Purvi's hands wandered, her fingers tracing the contours of his face, her touch gentle and loving. She felt his love, his desire, and his adoration, and she knew that she was exactly where she belonged.
Abhi's hands moved swiftly, opening his kurta and tossing it to the ground.
Purvi: Aise mat fenko.
As Purvi turned her face, he quickly pulled her into another passionate kiss, his lips devouring hers.
But amidst the intensity of the moment, Abhi's eyes flickered to his white kurta, now stained with blood. He didn't want Purvi to see it.
With a swift motion, Abhi turned off the light, plunging the room into darkness. He lay down, pulling Purvi on top of him, his arms wrapping around her like a shield.
As they lay there, Abhi's eyes closed, his mind drifting back to the events which took some hour's ago. He remembered...
Flashback_
Abhi was walking towards his bedroom, eager to join his lovely wife, who was waiting for him. But as he approached the door, he noticed a shadowy figure lurking outside.
His instincts kicked in, and he cautiously approached the window. That's when he saw them - a group of men climbing up the pipe, their eyes fixed on his room.
Abhi's heart raced as he realized the danger. Without hesitation, Abhi sprang into action. He swiftly moved to the pipe, his hands reaching out to grab the intruders.
Abhi's eyes narrowed as he threw the intruders to the ground, his movements swift and silent. He didn't want to alert anyone, especially Purvi, to the danger that had just lurked outside their window.
As he turned to head back downstairs, his father appeared, yawning.
Acp: Abhi, kahan jaa rahe ho iss waqt beta?
Abhi forced a casual tone: Wo dad actually, thoda nervousness ho raha tha toh socha taazi hawa lelu.
Acp "chuckled": Nervous ho rahe the aur wo bhi tum? Acha thek hai jao pr jaldi aana purvi intezar kar rhi hogi.
Abhi: Ji dad.
Acp nodded and headed to his room.
Abhi went downstairs, his heart still racing. He found the men he had thrown down earlier, still groaning in pain. His eyes blazed with anger as he started beating them, demanding answers.
Abhi: Kisne bheja tumhe yahan? Bolo? he growled, his fists clenched.
The men cowered, whimpering.
" Kishen ne kaha tha tumhari biwi ko lekr aane ko" one of them stammered.
Abhi's anger turned to ice. Kishen. He should have known. His mind racing with thoughts of revenge, Abhi's fists tightened, ready to strike again.
Abhi's eyes blazed with fury: Mujhe abhi uske pas lekar chalo.
Man: T..Thek hai.
As they arrived, Abhi unleashed his wrath, beating them mercilessly.
After what seemed like an eternity, Abhi turned his attention to Kishen, tying him to a chair. Kishen's goons lay scattered on the ground, unconscious.
Kishen, badly injured: Chhodunga nhi, tumhare parivar ke kisi ko nhi chhodunga. Jaise tumhari maa ko maar dala aur tumhara baap kuch nhi kar saka. Waise hi tumhare pure parivar ko maar dalunga aur tum kuch nhi kar paoge.
Abhi "angrily": oh toh wo tum the jisne meri maa ko maar dala. Waise sapna acha hai par use pura karne ke liye tum zinda nhi rahoge.
Kishen: Nahi maar skte tum mujhe.
Abhi chuckled, a cold, mirthless sound: Tumhara bhai bhi yahi kehta tha.
He walked over to the stove and turned the gas knob, the hiss of the fuel filling the air.
Abhi: Good Bye!!
With a smirk, Abhi walked out of the room, leaving Kishen to his fate. Suddenly, a massive explosion rocked the building, the blast wave shattering windows and sending debris flying everywhere.
Abhi stood outside, his expression unchanging as he watched the destruction. He chuckled again, a dry, humorless sound, before turning to leave.
He got into his jeep and started the engine, driving away from the carnage. The blast had taken care of Kishen and his goons, eliminating the threat to his family.
As he drove, Abhi's mind turned to Purvi, pari and, his family. He knew he had done what was necessary to protect them, no matter the cost
Flashback ends_
Abhi's eyes fluttered open, his gaze falling on Purvi's peaceful form beside him. She was sleeping soundly, wrapped in a thin sheet, her hair disheveled, and sindoor smudged on her forehead - proof of their passionate night.
Abhi's expression softened, his eyes filled with a mix of emotions. He whispered, his voice barely audible.
Abhi: Mujhe maaf krdo purvi, main jaanta hun maine tumse wada kiya tha dobara yeh nahi karunga. Lekin main use na marta toh zindagi bhar tum logon pe khatra mandrata. Promise yeh akhiri baar tha, ab hum log sukoon se saath rahenge.
He gently kissed her forehead, his lips brushing against her skin. But instead of remaining still, Purvi stirred, her arms clinging to him. Abhi's heart swelled with love, and he pulled her into a tight embrace, holding her close.
As they lay there, wrapped in each other's arms, Abhi felt a sense of peace wash over him. He knew he had made mistakes, but in this moment, with Purvi by his side, he felt like everything would be alright.
Together, they drifted off to sleep, their hearts beating as one, their love strong enough to overcome any obstacle.
"Sometimes, the darkest actions are born from the brightest intentions. In a world where justice falters, we must take matters into our own hands to protect those we love, even if it means walking the fine line between right and wrong."
