The Not So Friendly Welcoming

Now I wonder what this could be referred to? Could it be referred to Lila welcoming Sofia, after she flirted with her boyfriend. Could it be the new patients being welcomed by the hospital? Or, could it be all three? Well we won't know until we read the chapter now will we? So let's get back into the action!

Let's Start With Lillian…

"Stop doing that! Stop it! For the last time…your fingers are not fish sticks!" Lillian proclaimed to the brown sparrow in a serious tone, trying to tie the hand cones around his wrists. To stop him from chewing his own fingers off.

Even thought she was struggling a lot due to his lack of attention to her, she may have thought that this could be an easy task.

The female canary embarked on a mission to pacify the melodramatic brown sparrow.

"But my fingers…they look so tasty! They look like beautiful fishy treats. I need to get me some salt!" He went to grab a packet of salt but Lillian slapped it out of his hand. "I need salt for the fish sticks!"

The brown male was acting like a diva, incessantly whinging and crying about the fact that he wasn't able to chew on his fingers. Where in his mind they were transforming into delectable fish sticks.

Craving to devour them right off his own hand…whereas Lillian's task was to stop him from doing so. Because she would rather avoid the sight of blood, and having to use a needle and thread to reattach those fingers.

"Tom! You have got to snap out of it. You are not turning into a fish stick!" She yelled in a louder tone, revealing his name to be Tom.

"No! You're wrong! You are so wrong!" He cried even louder, as he was banging his head up against the wall in annoyance. "You are wrong! You are wrong! You are wrong! You are wrong!"

Dealing with this peculiar mental patient was no walk in the park, as he seemed to have mastered the art of being a real handful…literally!

However…Lillian did have a secret weapon up her sleeve, that was sure to calm him down whenever he got upset or crazy.

The secret weapon was none other than the enchanting melodies that flowed from her trusty boombox.

The soothing tones themselves had the power to momentarily lull the sparrow into a state of tranquility.

Albeit with an expiration date of over a day or so.

"Ooooh…I do love the opera…" Tom soon relaxed on his bed and stopped what he was doing, swaying to the music left and right as the song made him feel so free and calm.

"That's it Tom. Take some deep breaths in and then out. And if you are lucky, I may get you an iPod and a speaker. So you can listen to opera whenever you feel like you be want to eat your fingers." Lillian smiled as her patient had returned to a normal state.

"Ooooh yes…Ahhhhh…" He laid his head back down on the pillow and pulled the covers on top of him. As he enjoyed the soothing sound of the music.

"O-Kay…Now I'm going leave…" Lillian nervously laughed and gradually backed away from the sparrow. Who was so ones out that he wanted to lay in bed listening to the music.

Once she made it outside the room she sighed in relief and bashed her hand on the wall.

"Ughhhh…I can't believe that the patients are becoming this sick minded…" She thought to herself ironically, considering that she was working in a mental asylum. "Then again, it was sure to happen one way or the…"

"I'm sorry…I do believe that we have not met?"

"Huh?" Suddenly, Lillian heard the sound of Lila's voice from coming around the corner of the hallway where the female canary stood.

Being the curious person that she was, she wanted to move closer to the source of the voice.

So she put the clip board and pen down on the side to check on what her friend was doing, and who she was even talking to in a fairly sarcastic yet irritate tone.

"Oh hi. My name is Sofia, and you are?" The cardinal went to go for a handshake, but Lila politely refused due to her wearing gloves.

"Lila…So, Sofia…you're the new gardener, I see?" The purple haired female felt a bit annoyed about the women. So this must have been an indication that her boyfriend must have told her about Sofia trining to make a pass on him.

"Yes. I am taking over for the hot blue and gold guy. Damn, he's one hot piece of ass." The cardinal remarked and leaned up against the wall.

"Yes…my BOYFRIEND is a hot piece of ass…" Lila defending the fact that RDJ was her boyfriend, and that she obviously knew about the little encounter that he had with the female cardinal when she first arrived.

"Woah, what is up with the attitude blueberry muffin? I apologised to him afterwards when he told me he was in a relationship with you." Lillian was definitely right when telling Blu and Jewel that her friend was a bit sassy sometimes. "Listen though…I really am sorry okay? I didn't know that he was in a relationship with you. I saw a chance and I took it. Wouldn't you have done the same thing if he was single, and you were single?"

"Well…Huh…You got a point there…" Lila was about to protest, but once she realised that the cardinal female did make a good point, she softened her expression. "I'm sorry…Can we start over?"

"I'd like that." Sofia giggled a little and they shared a brief hug, right before Lillian approached the duo with a smile on her face.

"Any room for one more?" She rhetorically asked the cardinal specifically.

"HUAAAAAA! LILLIAN!" Sofia instantly let go of Lila softly and instantly began to hug her best friend tightly. Almost choking the hell out of her.

"Sof…Can't…Breathe…" The canary woman wheezed in pain before whilst she felt the tight grip of her friend squeezing her organs together. Metaphorically speaking to be fair.

"Sorry!" Sofia chuckled and let go of her to allow her to gain her oxygen back. "So what the heck is going on girl? I haven't seen you since you left for medical school."

"I've been pretty good. Happy in my new job. Got a loving boyfriend. Life is going pretty well for me." She smiled warmly and leaned up against the wall casually.

"Oh yeah. That Nico guy! He is pretty cool. Have you guys been together long?"

"Three years now." Lillian remarked in a proud manner.

"Wow. That's awesome!" She was very proud of her best friend and pulled her suitcase along. "I'm looking for my room? Apparently it's on the third floor?"

"I'll take you there. I need to go there anyway to fill up my water bottle." Lillian remarked and went to help her with her suit case.

"Thanks bestie! I can't wait for us to catch up. It was nice to meet you by the way Lila. We should go for a girls night out some time?" Sofia suggested with a grin.

"Sounds like fun." She showed an excited expression on her face. Right before she walked down the hallway with her clip board to go to room 421. Supposedly to talk to her patient, who was in fact Polly.

Polly came close to being discharged from the hospital several times. But every now and then something would just trigger her again. And she would run around in circles screaming 'I'M A PRETTY BIRD! HAHAHAHA!'

But knowing that eventually she would have to enter society again one day…Lila wanted to do anything she could to help her with her recovery.

As she was passing by sone of the rooms, she had noticed that Lillian had left her notepad, clip board and pen behind.

"Oh no. I better give this to…huh?" If things weren't even weird enough than what they already are…she turned the clip board around, and something was written on the back of it. In big red letters saying.

"Miss me sugar tits?!" Was written in bright red letters on the back of the board. But if that wasn't creepy enough…

"Is that…b-b-blood?" Lila stuttered as she rubbed her finger on it. Only to reveal that the word had actually been written in blood.

Lila checked her surroundings very abruptly to keep an eye out for anyone who may have followed her down the hallways.

But due to the fear that was building up inside of her, she pulled out her pager and dialled the numbers 017. Indicating one thing…

"BLU!" She screamed in a panicky tone, sprinting towards the stairs which lead to the bottom floor.

Let's Briefly Cut To Blu…

"I want to be sure that the back of the hospital parking lot has at least twenty police officers. I also want complete access to any of the defence equipment that may be needed in case of an accident or if chaos occurs." Blu explained to a deputy police officer, who nodded their heads and went to call in for back up.

"Honey, are you sure that you are not overdoing it a little bit?" Jewel took one look in her husband's eyes, and noticed that there was a lot of stress behind it.

"Jewel relax, we are only prepping ourselves for any other surprises…"

"BLU! BLU!" Suddenly, both blue macaws had a shock of their lives after hearing their purple haired associate running toward them with the clip board in her hands.

"Lila?! What happened?" Jewel instantly hugged her in comfort and she panicked so much that the hug was brief and quick.

"I was talking to Sofia and Lillian…Then I went down the hallway to check on my patient…Then I saw this!" Lila immediately gave the board to her boss. Who took a hood long look at the writing on it, the writing that was written in blood.

"Is that…blood?" Blu pondered after using a cotton swab to try and collect as much of the DNA as possible. So he could test it in their lab for potential tests.

"Yes! Someone wrote this! And I think…I think it's…him…" The blue female shook fearfully, not really mentioning at first who the person she was referring to.

"One of those policemen?"

"No…"

"Then who?" Jewel asked the next question.

"F-Felipe…" Lila shuddered at the very thought of saying that name. Because every time she heard his name…or even his voice, it made her skin crawl.

"Lila…"

"I know what you're going to say, okay! He's dead! I know! But, how the fuck did…THIS message appear on this clip board?! These were words that he only said to me when I first arrived here." The purple eyed girl was really shaken up about this. "I think he's haunting me…"

"Pffft…What?" Blu smirked a little bit, along with his wife who was just as amused as he was.

"I think Felipe is haunting me! I hear his voice, I feel his presence, and now this?!" She threw the clip board on the ground and shook her head. "This cannot be happening to me…"

"Lila, Felipe's ghost is not haunting this place! Listen, I know you have been through a lot a few years ago. But, I do feel like you maybe need to take a couple of days off to calm yourself a bit." Blu suggested as he pulled out what appeared to be a sick person permission slip. "I'm going to sign you off for a few days leading up to you anniversary with RDJ. Then after the anniversary, you may be a little more relaxed and confident to work."

"Sir I'm fine. I can clearly tell that you are going to need all the help that you can get here."

"I'm not asking miss Lila." The male doctor spoke clearly with determination, passing the flip over to her. "Don't worry. I can fill in for you while you're gone. I'd rather all my staff are happy and healthy. The blue spix's macaw man grinned and patted her on the back. "Now go to bed and get some sleep. I'll be sure to send your boyfriend up to you once his new associate arrives to relieve him from his shift."

"You found someone already? That was fast?" Lila smiled at him.

"I mean he did seem a little nervous on the phone. But after Jewel saw his profile photo, she was convinced." He rolled his eyes at the thought of it. "Let's just say that he is a strong guy…"

"SIR! THEY'VE ARRIVED!" One of the police officers called out towards the owner of the building. Who instantly prepped himself to head to the beck gate.

"I'll be right over! Jewel, please take Lila to her room and stay with her for the time being. I don't want you being down here to see this." Blu ordered his wife, who appeared to look a little insulted by this sudden order.

"And ummm…You think just because I'm a woman, that I can't defend myself?" She out a hand on her hip, abs tapped her fingernails on the table with a very irritated look on her face.

"N-N-No! That's…That's not what I'm saying…" He stuttered a little in embarrassment.

"Hehehe. I love it when you get so awkward and nervous. It's one of the reasons why I love you so very much!" Jewel kissed him on the cheek, before linking arms with Lila. "Let's go Lila."

"Haaaaaa…You're probably right. I may need a few more hours of sleep." The lilac female agreed with them and did a 360 turn. Walking away with Jewel towards the elevator. Leaving Blu to head to the back exit to welcome the patients into the asylum.

Now Let's Head To RDJ…

RDJ stood stoically at the back entrance of the mental asylum, along with several of the police officers that were ordered to come down and help out.

Some of them were of course happy to do it considering they were working overtime to make more money to feed their family. Others however were kind of forced into doing it against their wishes, due to how difficult the circumstances may have been.

"Ughhh…I don't even know why the fuck in doing this? I should be at home playing with my kids and teaching my nephew how to play chess." A very grumpy looking scarlet macaw groaned and sighed in frustration.

"Officer Malcom! We are here for a very important reason. And you should count your lucky stars that you are doing some extra overtime today. You get paid to serve and protect." His commanding officer who appeared to be a military macaw man gave him a deathly glare.

"Yes sarge!" He saluted his superior officer, then he prepped himself for the battle to get the patients to come through.

RDJ stood there with a little bit of nerves, wearing his new security guard uniform as he waits for the main event. Surrounded by the stern police officers did make him feel less nervous. But he still had no idea on what to expect.

The air was heavy with anticipation as they awaited for the buzzer to go off, to signal to them that the patients were ready to be brought through into the asylum.

Each officer has a grin look on their faces, grin with determination. Knowing fully well about what kind of individuals that they were going to come face to face with.

"Hey, officer Malcom?" RDJ called out to the scarlet macaw man, who came over and leaned up against the same wall he was on.

"Hey dude, what's up?" He replied with a calm expression on his face.

"Do you know anything in particular about these patients?"

"All I know is that the majority of them were transferred from prisons across South America, who were deemed too mentally unstable to stay there."

"Fuck…" He cursed under his breath, as the time for them to get ready was drawing nearer. "What crimes are we talking?"

"Rape, sexual assault, molestation, even physical violence to children." He listed off the crimes that these patients have committed. The majority of them seemed so serious and horrific.

These patients being brought in were not just troubled souls that may have either been mistreated by society or possibly abused as children.

They were the definition of monsters in human form. Every single one of them individually. A parasite with arms and legs. A wolf in sheep's clothing.

BEEEEEEEEEEP!

"Okay everyone! It's time! Get your asses by the shutters, and await for my command!" The military macaw man called out to his team of police officers. As well as RDJ, who had now been joined by Blu.

"Why are there so many cops Blu? Is this gonna be some kind of prison raid?" The blue and home man smirked a little, warning an annoyed glare from Malcom.

"This is a serious situation dude! These guys are severe criminals with the mindset of being a psychopath! Just keep your eyes on them, and if any of them try to break, you will do your job." Malcom suggested as he picked up a spare riot shield and gave it to him. "This is a gift from the police department. Use it well."

"Thank you friend. I'll be sure to put it to good use…"

"OKAY EVERYONE! IT'S TIME! RIOT SHIELDS UP!" The military macaw man ordered his men, who instantly did as they were told and rose their shields up.

"I think I'm gonna sit down for this…" Blu was a ring a little nervous and scared. But Malcom grabbed him by the arm and shoved a riot shield in his other hand.

"You are not going to walk away from this! This is a job that will require all the manpower that we could possibly muster." The scarlet man narrowed his eyes and then refocused his attention on the shutters. That now began to move upwards.

The room was filled with a sense of anticipation as the shutters slowly started to rise.

All eyes were fixed on RDJ, Blu and the police officers that were volunteered or forced to keep an eye on the situation.

Some were gulping and swallowing the saliva in their throats, which was even worse for Blu. Because in his mind he was a sheep amongst wolves. He didn't have the courage or strength as the police officers or RDJ. Which meant that in his mind he had half the sense to just drop the riot shield and run. But the blue and gold macaw man stood by him and stood up for his friend. Just to make sure that nothing bad was going to happen to him.

They all anxiously waited for the shutters to fully roll up, so that they would unveil the dangerous criminals. That have all been deemed completely insane and needed to be omitted to the mental asylum.

The atmosphere was completely tense, as everyone held their breath, unsure of what they were about to witness.

Everybody stood posed as the shutters revealed the bottoms of their bodies. Showing that all of them were wearing orange prison jumpsuits. With black shoes on.

Some of them appeared to be women, and others revealed to be men. There were more men than women in the group of prisoners. There were at least seventeen of them. Which was going to be a huge problem for them.

"Ooooooh…So much fresh meat!"

"Yeahhhhh…I wanna piece of that guy!"

"I am the king of the caterpillars!"

All of them began to speak sone very creepy and absurd things as they were fully revealed to the group.

They all had to be bound in chains from hands to feet, and were cuffed together as they began to move in a single file line to the warehouse.

"Okay, as long as there are no women in here…then these guys won't be completely spoo…" Officer Malcom was about to explain, but pretty soon the exact opposite of what he wanted was about to present itself to them.

"Hey Blu? I was wondering what you wanted me to do with the shears?" Soon, Sofia had completely interrupted the entire thing. Wearing a tight brown shirt that was cut from the bottom to make it look like a crop top. And her large nipples were piercing through her shirt.

This definitely wasn't going to be easy now…

Soon the male prisoners began to act like the crazy psychopaths that they were, and began to try and shake free of their shackles. But the chief of police managed to get everything under control.

"QUIET DOWN NOW!" He picked up a hose and sprayed all of them with water from the hose. Getting them to stop what they were doing and they all looked grumpy and soggy in their clothes.

"Sof…Go to my office and stay there until this is finished okay? You need to be somewhere safe." Blu remarked to the cardinal female. Who all of a sudden agreed and left the warehouse in a hurry.

"Okay ladies and gentle! This is your new home for the time being! Do not get too comfortable. Because this stay will only be temporary while we fox the gaping hole in the prison." The chief of police announced to the prisoners. Who were all completely drenched in water.

"Blu? You authorised a temporary prison transfer?!" RDJ angrily grumbled at him, whilst he was a little shameful of this decision.

"I didn't! My supervisor from the main head office in Brasilia told me that this was going to happen RDJ! How was I supposed to know that this is going down?"

One by one the prisoners were being lead by the group of police officers down the hallway. With several of them still attempting to fight off the officers. But the riot shields that they were holding were preventing them from doing any severe damage.

"The keys to their rooms have been allocated to every officer in the warehouse RDJ. You can head back to your guard post now." Blu confirmed as he was about to head back to his office. But was instantly stopped by the blue and gold macaw man.

"Wait…That's it? You brought me down here, just to look at the prisoners who were being omitted here?" He seemed just a little bit annoyed now that he had to stand there for over an hour. Just to keep an eye on a bunch of ruthless pedophiles and rapists.

"I brought you down here to keep an eye on what you could be potentially dealing with sir RDJ. Listen to my instructions and head to your new post. We have your fellow security guard on his way here now. And he will replace you at 10pm when your shift has finished. Do you understand me?" The blue macaw man spoke with a lot of seriousness.

"Sure…now you have courage…" RDJ sarcastically whispered with a little smirk on his face.

"What was that?"

"Nothing!" He answered quickly and did a 360 turn. Heading towards his post so that he could start his first shift as the new security guard of the insane asylum.

"Hmoh…I definitely heard that…" Blu didn't want to argue with him. He actually smirked himself and went over sone of the notes he had taken down earlier that day.

But just as he was about to go towards the elevator, he noticed that the clip board that Lila gave to him was laying on the ground.

What was even weirder about this…was the fact that the writing on the front was now no longer there? Like it had been completely wiped off.

"What the fuck?" Blu cursed and rubbed his hand on there, to confirm that the blood writing had well and truly disappeared. "That is weird…"

BZZZZZZZZ!

"Hmmm?" Blu noticed that his pager was buzzing all of a sudden, and it appeared to have come from his wife. Who was calling him about one of their…less chaotic patients ere caught trying to hang themselves with a bed sheet. "Ughhh…not again!"

Let's Check On Sofia And Lillian…

"So I was then moved to a later date at this beautiful lake house in Kenya. Where I had to do a summer getaway catalogue for a few airlines. Got paid a couple grand for every airline that purchased my photos." Sofia remarked with a cocky manner. But Lillian was a little bit more confused with the way she was acting. Especially silly since she disappeared for half an hour.

"Where did you disappear off to just now?" The canary rose an eyebrow in curiosity.

"Oh, I needed to ask Blu about where to put my personalised garden shears. Then it got a little crazy when the prisoners entered in here…"

"Did you say prisoners? What the hell did Blu do?!" Lillian piped up in frustration, as she was helping her best friend with setting up all of her equipment in her room.

"I have no idea. But there were at least seventeen of them. Six women and eleven men. All of them went ballistic as soon as they saw me." She rolled her eyes at the same time, as adjusting her crop top.

"Maybe, it's because you have a really tight shirt."

"Hey! So what if I've got big boobs? That's not gonna stop me from wearing what I want to do the job. Especially if I'm gonna be working outside all the time." Sofia explained, picking up one of her heavier bags and putting it away in the closet.

Finally we get a little introduction of Sofia meeting Pedro. And boy that was a very memorable one between them eh? But it was written in blood, and it happened to be the exact same words that Felipe had said to her when he was still alive. The introduction of the prisoners into the asylum was tense and very chaotic! As you might have already guessed that would have happened. And now, RDJ begins his first shift as the new security guard. How could things get any worse for our friends? Well, I'll see you all soon for the next chapter!
