Chapter 8

One week would pass since Ryoto's body alteration. If there was one thing that was upsetting his father about it was the fact that Ryoto grew out his hair. He rather preferred to have long hair than the short cut that everyone else appears to be supporting around here. But thanks to a little transfiguration, he has long red hair down to his backside!

He felt a little better, altering his appearance to distance himself from his father's image but that wasn't what was on his mind at the moment. In fact, it was a Wednesday afternoon when he was approached by Lady Tiamat and Toji.

He didn't know why but Toji stared at him, walked around and inspected Ryoto from top to bottom before he turned to Lady Tiamat and nodded.

"Uh… did I do something to offend him?" Ryoto asked. "I thought I prostrated myself rather sincerely…"

Lady Tiamat smiled. "Not at all, I do have a favor to ask and Toji was just checking on who I selected…"

'This is a trap' Ryoto thought instantly.

Toji suddenly stood before him, he took his dominate arms and positioned themselves in such a way… before tucking Megumi into them!

"Wait, what's going on?"

Lady Tiamat giggled. "We are requesting you babysit Megumi today… not just today but every Wednesday since Toji has to hunt once a week with Hoshi. We are trusting you with Megumi."

"Uh… I haven't taken care of a child before… let alone an infant… I also just became a teenager!" he protested, and yet, the more he looked to infant Megumi, the more he felt his heart race a little. This… this is utter trust!

Megumi made a little fuss in his arms, yet he settled shortly after and stayed asleep. "Now it's not too difficult to keep an eye on Megumi, since he is so small all he does is eat, sleep and poop" she said and laughed. "As such, I do request he remain in the domain until he is old enough. Toji and I will decide on that. So, until then, please keep him here but don't leave him alone."

Ryoto was making mental notes of everything, he nodded to it all but then was startled as Lady Tiamat dropped a massive bag before him. "There should be enough supplies here for the day, full bottles, diapers, blankets…" she named everything off, but at least she is prepared.

"Anything else? Does he have a naptime? Where does he prefer to have a nap? Any place in particular to sleep?" he asked.

He saw Toji's eyes widened in shock. Lady Tiamat was smiling from ear to ear. "See, I told you," she teased Toji. "Megumi will sleep anywhere right now, just try not to move or be where there is a lot of noise. With that, we're off!"

"What if…" before Ryoto could ask, the two vanished.

"What the hell did I get myself into?" Ryoto whispered. Yet, as he looked down at Megumi, he was rather cute. "You're oddly fluffy…" he said offhandedly. Either way he better make certain he has a plan in place for all of this.

Grabbing the baby bag, Ryoto turned and was about to head home, yet was cut off. Marcy appeared suddenly before him, but her eyes stared down at little Megumi. "Ryoto… are you… babysitting?!" she demanded in shock.

He forced a smile. "Yeah, last minute thing from Lady Tiamat…"

"I'll help!" she decreed.

He was rather stunned by this but agreed, she didn't ask… she jumped at the chance!

"Right now, he is sleeping, so I am going to find a nice shaded area and let him sleep until he needs to eat." He explained.

Marcy smiled and agreed, it didn't take them long to find such a place, yet the moment he got settled, Marcy came right up beside him and cuddled in!

Sukuna paused.

In fact, he couldn't quite believe what he was seeing. "Awww" cooed Chusi.

"Yeah our kid is cute sleeping against the tree but at the same time… how come he has Megumi?" he asked bluntly. He thought for certain that the boy would wail aloud if he ever came near anyone with Sukuna's blood flowing through their veins and yet… he sleeps blissfully.

"I do admit this is a better scene than what Yua exposed us to earlier… what the hell was she thinking?" he demanded.

Chusi's smile subsided. "I have to admit, I was a little disturbed by that too…" she said offhandedly. "To think Suguru and Satoru…"

"Don't… remind me… there is very little in this world that confuses me… but that sight was one of them."

Yua did warn them ahead of time that it was an odd occurrence, at the same time, she strongly believes that Suguru is expecting, thus, the coddling. At the same time it's Satoru. She wouldn't put it pass him to mess with her and Suguru is his best friend, he may go along with it.

However, Yua said something that for some reason, bothered Sukuna. "Thankfully with Satoru doing that for Suguru, I've been working with the five. Saitama is not in a good place right now, and I know he is starving himself to lose weight…"

"Are you okay?" Chusi asked of him.

"Her child, Saitama… what is happening to him, concerns me."

"AAAWWW!" Chusi cooed. "You're worried about him too!"

"That boy has nothing to be ashamed about! What happened to him is not under his control, at the same time, the more I look at him, and the more I see that it is for a reason. Yet, him starving himself… I know the sensation…" he muttered. Unpleasant thoughts began to bubble through his mind, that's the down side of having a heart and actually giving a damn to what happens around him.

Still…

There was something about Saitama being the way he is, considering his genetics. Despite the fact that Satoru ate nothing but sugar, it shouldn't have affected him that much, could it?

"Are you trying to think of a way to help Saitama?" she asked.

"Not quite, but something isn't right about this…" he said in a muse tone.

"We'll help Yua however we can, and we will help Saitama too," she vowed. Sukuna agreed, and yet he kept peering over to his son and Marcy resting against him. "It appears we don't have to worry about Ryoto finding someone. She's been waiting for him…"

"That… concerns me."

"How so?"

"A dragon has fallen for our son, and yet, does she know that any child she may bare of his, won't be a dragon like her or the rest of her family? Thankfully, she is Toshi's daughter. He wouldn't care if his grandchild are or are not dragons… at the same time, it's concerning they won't be like the rest of the family…"

Chusi only smiled and gave him a playful nudge. "Now who is over thinking things?" she asked and snickered. "There's plenty of time before we concern ourselves on the aspect of grandchildren. At the moment… there's a lack of children to begin with…" she said in a hinting tone.

"You're adamant about that, aren't you?" he muttered.

She glared at him. "Did you think I returned… only to have ONE child?!" she demanded of him. "You know how difficult it is for a Tooru to have children, and yet you're dragging your feet! You make it TWICE as difficult!"

"Did you forget what I did before I was even born?" he snapped back at her. "Hell, we had that talk with Ryoto just the other day, he didn't realize how… disturbing I was."

Sukuna couldn't help but feel there was more to his story. And yet what he thinks, he doesn't necessary believe is true at the moment. There are too many variables going on in his mind.

"Ryomen?"

"Thinking…"

"I know, your eyes go in four different directions when you do that."

"Huh?"

"You didn't know! It's rather cute."

"Tsk…"

"So about more kids!" she demanded.

Sukuna sneered at the notion. At the same time, he is aware, there is no escape from this.

However, he was good at changing the subject. "By the way, where's Shin?"

Chusi smiled. "Curse hunting, it's amazing they are not attacking as much as they use to, they are still around but…"

"Biding time," he said bluntly. "Taking into consideration that there is no barrier at the same time, sorcerers around the world are starting to awaken at a rapid pace… since the curses are starting to fester there rather than here… why did Rook make me watch news stories from other lands?" he muttered.

"I think in his words, you're not the biggest piece of… excrement, out there. I have to agree with him on various aspects of that… it's worst if you pick up a history book!" she laughed.

If that is true, then Rook is rather correct on that aspect. Sure, Sukuna killed for fun, but he didn't do it for the sake of taking out one particular type of person or peoples. He just killed and ate anyone and everyone!

Still, why the hell is he concerned over that notion?! That or secretly, he wished he was the biggest and worst in the world…
