(Third-Person POV)
*Today's story begins in World Three's secret hideout. Mr. Match
Mr. Wily: Maddie, Count Zap, and Mr. Match. How nice of you to join me. You're a disgrace to World Three! You don't deserve the honor of calling yourselves agents. Do you!? *Mr. Match & Count Zap flinched* I suppose you all have another pathetic explanation.
Maddie: Yeah, it's because of Dawn and MegaMan.
Count Zap: Maddy's right! Those two pipsqueaks are the one's to blame! If they hadn't short circuited my plan, it would've worked perfectly!
Mr. Wily: That's enough! All of you! I'm sick and tired of your excuses! The time has come to pay for your failures! *he lifted his cane & the eyes glowed. a giant mechanical hand suddenly came to life* Now, you'll get a taste of my handy work.
*The hand came towards Mr. Match, Count Zap, & Maddie*
?:*off-screen* Hold on. Please stop, Mr. Wily.
*Mr. Wily turned towards where the voice was coming from saw a man with chestnut skin, brown hair a red circle on his forehead, & blue triangles on his cheeks & wearing an orange tunic, white tape around his wrists & ankles, & brown sandals in a yoga pose*
Yahoot: It is foolish to waste punishment on these simple minded souls. After all, it is not their fault that they are miserable failures, now is it useless ones.
Count Zap: What!?
Mr. Match: What do you mean useless, you human pretzel!?
Mr. Wily: Yahoot! I was hoping you'd come.
Mr. Match: Wily actually knows him?
Maddie: Doesn't everybody? He's that phony yoga weirdo from TV.
Yahoot: Yoga is an art, wicked one. But then, I wouldn't expect a feeble mind like yours to be able to understand such a thing. Now you will see . . . What the true power of my mind can do.
(Gwen's POV)
*It's been a few days since our battle against TorchMan. Today, me, Lan, & Maylu were rushing to get to Yai's house. We passed by Higsby, who was doing push ups front of his store*
Lan: I can't believe how late we are!
Gwen: It's your fault for sleeping in again!
Lan: I'm sorry, I just kinda lost track of time.
MegaMan:*off-screen* Actually, he was NetBattling. And he would have won too, if he hadn't have dropped that Chip in the sock drawer.
Lan: Hey, a guy's gotta practice when he can, right?
Maylu: It doesn't matter. All I know is that we're late. And you were the one who wanted to train for this competition.
Gwen:*in her mind* Yeah. The N1 Grand Prix. The greatest Net Battling competition in the world. And me and Dawn are gonna win it all!
*Suddenly, Lan & I heard a commotion coming from the arcade*
Lan: Whoa, what's going on in there.
Gwen: I don't know.
Maylu: Shouldn't we keep going, guys?
Gwen: Yeah, Yai and Dex are waiting for us.
Lan: Wait here. I wanna see who's battling.
*He went inside the arcade*
Maylu: But, Lan, what about our training?
*I sighed*
Gwen: I'll go get him. *I went into the arcade. I stopped in my tracks when I saw a battle was going on in the arena* What's going on?
Lan: That Standard NetNavi is totally beating a Level 5 custom model. What am amazing battle. That NetOp's not too shabby. Who is that guy?
Gwen: I don't know. Never seen him before.
*Just then, the battle was already over. Then there was a bright light & the battle was the NetOp was gone*
Lan: Where is he? Where'd he go?
*Maylu came up to us with a smile*
Maylu: Guess what.
Lan: Hm?
Maylu: As of now, you're definitely going to be late.
Lan: Oh! Not again!
*I face-plamed. That's what I get for getting distracted*
MegaMan:*off-screen* No comment.
Dawn:*off-screen* Roll, Mega, and I going to go on ahead. We'll see you there, okay?
*Maylu & I glared at my brother*
Lan: Alright.
(Dawn's POV)
*MegaMan, Roll, & I made to the mainframe of Yai's treehouse, where Glide & GutsMan were waiting for us*
Dex: Well, they're late and I guess who's fault it is. Wasn't this training thing Lan's idea?
Yai: Yep. Typical, huh? Lan's always the first it up and the last to show up.
Dex: This whole thing sounds dumb. We're supposed to train our minds and bodies by watching some quack yoga guy on TV. I'll try it, but I don't think it's gonna help.
Yai: Me neither.
GutsMan: Ooh! Show's starting! Me love Yahoot!
Glide: I must say, I feel a bit silly. I never thought I'd find myself so intrigued with a human television show.
MegaMan: We deserve some fun, don't we?
Roll: Sure. And besides, yoga's good for you.
Dawn: It helps with your health and flexibility.
*The title "Mamajarama Yoga" appeared on the screen, along with two elephants*
Announcer: And now, Yoga Master to the masses, the amazing Yahoot!
Dex: I don't why, but I'm excited!
*Then Yahoot appeared on the screen*
Yahoot: Welcome my friends, to another session of yoga with Yahoot. Time to do something kind for your body and mind. I'm very glad you could make it. Yoga is an ancient art. A method for well being. Follow my instructions, relax, and release your mind. Make new friends. Influenced people. Get better grades. Even change the weather. Anything is possible. Everybody ready? Let's begin. Pur first pose is the called the Grasshopper.
*We all got into position*
Note: I'm skipping the yoga scene because it makes me cringe*
*Just then, Yahoot disappeared with static & a male NetNavi wearing an outfit that looked like a blue magician's robe, a blue witch hat, a pointed mask, yellow eyes, red balls instead of hands, & brown boots appeared on the screen*
MagicMan: Hello, foolish humans. Welcome to a game of magic I've created for you.
Yai: Magic?
Dex: Not liking this.
MagicMan: Posing like animals, I hope you had fun. Now let's see how it feels to really be one! Look into the eyes of magic!
Dawn: Dex! Yai! Look away, now!
*But it was too late. A bright light flashed & they passed out*
(Gwen's POV)
*We arrived at Yai's treehouse to find her & Dex passed out on the floor*
Lan: My bad. I'm sorry that we're so late. *suddenly, they turned to us with growls & attacked us* Hey! Ow! Knock it off! You've gotta clip those nails! Stop it! I mean it!
*We ran out of the treehouse with the friends right behind us. I looked back & saw the way they were running*
Gwen: Dex is a gorilla and Yai's a cat! Dawn, MegaMan, what's going on!?
MegaMan:*off-screen* They were watching Yahoot's TV show and his NetNavi MagicMan took over the airwaves!
(Dawn's POV)
*Me, my brother, & our friends were watching everything from the mainframe*
MegaMan: He used the television signal to transmit a high powered light wave.
Dawn: He's used it to hypnotize everyone watching the show into thinking their animals!
Lan:*off-screen* Are you serious!?
Glide: Oh dear, my poor sweet Tai!
GutsMan: Dex is bad.
(Gwen's POV)
*We kept running as our friends chased us*
Lan: I knew those two were wild, but this is ridiculous!
*We ran all the way into the city & managed to lose them. When we got to Main Street, it was like a literal jungle. Everyone was acting like an animal*
Gwen: Are we the only ones that weren't watching that show?
Maylu: Sure looks that way. We've got to do something, guys. *we walked down the street. just then, Maylu noticed something* Guys, is that Ms . . . Mari!?
*We saw put teacher, hanging from a tree branch like a sloth*
Gwen: Look at her eyes. That blank star, it's like she's not even human anymore.
Lan: She's creeping me out!
*Just then, we saw Sal hopping down the street*
Maylu: Oh, Sal thinks she's a kangaroo!
*Then we saw Mr. Higsby attached to a tree & buzzing*
Lan: Higsby's turned into some kind of tree beetle. Hope he doesn't bite.
*I look up & saw Miyu gliding & making squeaky sounds*
Gwen: It looks Miyu's a flying squirrel that can really fly. I hope she figures out how to land.
*Then Maysa came wiggling up to us*
Maylu: Aah! Get away from me! Gross! What is he? Some kind of snake!?
Gwen: I guess.
Lan: Wait a minute, look how he's moving. He's not a snake, he's an eel. Even when he's hypnotized, he's got fish on the brain. Why would Yahoot and MagicMan do this anyway?
Gwen: Why else? It's gotta be World Three!
Lan: You're right. But how can we help all these people when their minds are controlled by the TV?
(Dawn's POV)
MegaMan: That's it! MagicMan would've had to jack into the TV broadcast signal to take over the station.
(Gwen's POV)
Lan: Right, MegaMan. That's where we'll find them. MagicMan must still be inside the computer there!
Gwen: So, let's find a place to Jack-In and bust up his magic show.
*We looked around until we saw a restaurant. We ran inside*
Lan: Hello? Anybody here? *he saw the cash register* Alright! This outta do. Here we go! Jack in! MegaMan! Power up!
Gwen: Jack in! Dawn! Power up!
*We plugged in our P.E.T.s, sending our NetNavis into the computer system*
Lan: Okay, they're in. Now for the TV Station.
*Suddenly, I heard growling behind us. I turned around & saw three guys leaping at us with fangs out*
Gwen: Lan, look out!
*I pushed my brother out of the way & I dodged before they could touch us*
Lan: Whoa! Wolf people!
(Dawn's POV)
*MegaMan & I were still flying through the net, on our way to the TV Station*
Gwen:*off-screen* It's getting ugly out here, guys! Hurry!
Dawn: We're almost at the TV Station! Just hold on a little longer!
*Suddenly, another NetNavi flew past us. I couldn't see who was it because it was going too fast. Then we arrived at the TV Station mainframe*
MegaMan: Who was that back there? Somebody passed us with incredible speed.
Dawn: I don't know. It was hard to tell.
?:*off-screen* Glad you could make it. What took you so long?
*Just then, MagucMan appeared on the multiple monitors that floated in the air around us*
MagicMan: Despite what I've heard, you two don't look so strong.
MegaMan: MagicMan.
MagicMan: Nice to meet you both at last. You've angered World Three. That has earned you the right to NetBattle with me. I've got surprises for you as you will soon see!
Dawn: So . . . You do work for World Three.
MagicMan: Ah, yes my dear. I'm afraid that I do. However, I'm much more powerful than what your used too.
MegaMan: Alright, we're here. What do you want with us?
MagicMan: You two and I have a game to play, now that DenTech City is in disarray. And Yahoot will make it stay that way!
(Gwen's POV)
*Lan & I were still getting attacked by the wolf people. I've managed to keep dodging their attacks, but Lan wasn't having much luck. Suddenly, two of them pounced towards him, he screamed*
Gwen: Lan, no!
*He braced for impact. Suddenly, Dex jumped on one of them & started wrestling him. Yai was biting the other one on his butt. The two wolves ran away in fear. Yai & Dex celebrated their victory*
Lan: Thanks. Are you guys better now?
*They were still acting like animals*
Gwen: Doesn't look like it.
*Just then, Maylu came in & hugged Lan's arm*
Maylu: Lan! Gwen! You're still normal! You guys had me worried for a minute there!
Lan: They seem to be calm now.
Maylu: Yeah. Check this out. *she took out a fish & a banana* Here you go. They'll help us for food. Most animals can do just about anything if you train them properly.
Lan: I guess the power of the stomach is greater than the power of the mind.
Gwen: You should know that better than anyone.
Lan: Hey!
*Just then, we heard more growling. Then another wolf person appeared. He howled & more wolf people appeared, growling*
Gwen: Looks the wolf pack is bigger than we thought.
*The wolf people closed in on us. Just then, gorilla Dex pointed to the door*
Maylu: I think he's saying that they'll handle the wolf guys. Come on, guys. We should get over to the TV Station.
*The wolf people were right in front of us*
Lan: We'd better go. Dawn and MegaMan are waiting for us.
Gwen: Right!
*We ran out of the restaurant*
Lan: Thanks guys!
(Dawn's POV)
*MegaMan was firing his Mega Buster at the TVs & I was using Angel Feather Barrage to destroy them*
MegaMan: Nice pictures! Why don't you come out and show yourself?
MagicMan: Oh, but I'm here. Can't you see? Every one of these is me. If getting me is your desire, you just have to know where to fire. Think you can, Dawn and MegaMan!?
Dawn:*in her mind* The real one has to be somewhere. We just have to focus.
*We paused for a moment. Then we fired both our weapons in a certain direction. They both it something & that area started to distort*
MegaMan: Yeah! Got him!
Dawn: Yes!
*The real MagicMan appeared*
MagicMan: Very impressive, you trusted your senses. Through my electromagnetic defenses. Now let's see if you let them slack when I unleash a virus attack!
*Just then, a swarm of viruses appeared from the floating TVs*
MegaMan: That's an awful lot of viruses. Why don't you battle us fair and square.
MagicMan: I'm just giving you something to blast. Don't worry, I'll save the real magic for last. Attack! *the viruses charged at us* Now Dawn and MegaMan don't turn your back!
(Third-Person POV)
*Meanwhile, in a TV Studio, Yahoot was doing a yoga pose on top of a pile of chairs*
Yahoot: Let's see how good you and your sister really are, MegaMan. Prepare yourselves. I am going to stream a virus attack like you've never seen. Here we go.
(Dawn's POV)
*More & more viruses were coming towards us from all sides*
MegaMan: I can't read their moves!
Dawn: Me neither!
*They fired at us & we were hit, getting sent to the ground*
MagicMan: I hope you liked our virus attack. For you and your sister, MegaMan, there's no going back.
*We both struggled to get up*
MegaMan: MagicMan's strong . . .
MagicMan: I heard that. Thank you, Tiny One. But now the fun has just begun!
*He sent more viruses at us*
Dawn:*in her mind* Now what do we do?
*Suddenly, my wings fluttered a little & my brother's helmet lit up*
Lan:*off-screen* MegaMan, we made it. We're plugging into the terminal now
Gwen:*off-screen* Dawn, get ready to finish this!
(Gwen's POV)
Lan: Area Steal! Battle Chip in!
(Dawn's POV)
*MegaMan grabbed me as we teleported to dodge the viruses*
MagicMan: What!? They - They disappeared! That's weird. And impossible. Are you both through fighting? Where are you hiding!?
*He didn't realize that were above him. Me carrying my brother as I flapped my wings*
(Gwen's POV)
*Me, Lan, & Maylu were in the TV Station with our P. plugged in*
Lan: It worked. They're okay.
Gwen: That gave them both some extra time.
MegaMan: Way to go, Lan. Good thinking.
Lan: MagicMan hasn't seen where you guys are just yet. But we're gonna have to move fast to beat him.
Yahoot:*off-screen* Oh, but I see you.
Gwen: Yahoot? Where are you?
Yahoot:*off-screen* I'm in here.
*The lights turned on in the studio & we saw Yahoot, doing a yoga pose on top of a pile of chairs*
Lan: Wow. That's one big chair-y tree.
Yahoot: That was an impressive trick. But you won't win.
Maylu: What do we do now?
Gwen: Knock this phoney down a couple of notches!
Lan: Alright! Let's finish this, MegaMan!
Gwen: You too, Dawn!
Lan: Wide Sword! Battle Chip in! Download!
Gwen: Angel Arrow Battle, Chip in! Download!
(Dawn's POV)
MegaMan: Good to go! Wide Sword!
Dawn: I'm ready! Angel Arrow!
*My brother's arm turned into a sword & my bow appeared in my hand, along with an arrow*
MegaMan: Let's see how you like this trick!
*I fired my arrow at MagicMan, causing damage to MagicMan. Then my brother went in. He swung his sword at MagicMan, but he caught it in-between his red ball hands*
MagicMan: You play games well. You almost scored. No one has ever come this close before!
*My brother pulled, but couldn't get free*
MegaMan: Lan . . . Can't . . . Get away.
Dawn: MegaMan, hold on!
*I flew in to save my brother. But suddenly, just as I was an inch away from him, MagicMan's eyes glowed & I stopped in my tracks, unable to move*
MagicMan: A sister coming to save her brother. How sweet. But it's hopeless. Even if you work together, I can't be beat.
Dawn: Gwen . . . I can't . . . Move.
MagicMan: You two want to get free, I can help you with that. Here, take this. You little brats!
*A red beam from the gem on his hat hit us both, causing big damage*
(Gwen's POV)
Lan: MegaMan!
Gwen: Dawn!
(Dawn's POV)
*I felt myself slipping out of conscious as I started to fall*
MagicMan: You're both worth opponents, it's almost tragic. But it's time to unleash my real magic!
(Gwen's POV)
Lan: MegaMan!
Gwen: Dawn!
(Dawn's POV)
MagicMan: Magic Fire!
*Then everything went black*
+Third-Person POV)
*Suddenly, just before the attack hit the NetNavi twins, a red streak grabbed Dawn & sliced through the Magic Fire, sending it back towards MagicMan*
MagicMan: What happened? Oh no, it's coming back! Even I can't survive this attack! *the attack hit him, causing damage* No!
Yahoot: MagicMan, Jack-Out now before it's too late!
MagicMan: Yes, Yahoot as you say! But beware Dawn and MegaMan, I'll be back someday!
MagicMan! Logging Out!
(Dawn's POV
*I opened my eyes & blushed when I found myself in the arms in a tall male NetNavi with long white hair, pale skin, & wearing red armor*
ProtoMan: You alright?
Dawn: Y - Yes. *he put me down* Th - Thank you for saving me.
ProtoMan: No problem.
*Just then, I heard a groan. I turned to my brother, who was trying to get up*
Dawn: MegaMan! *I ran to him* Are you alright?
MegaMan: Y - Yeah. What happened?
Dawn: He saved us.
*My brother looked up at the red NatNavi*
(Gwen's POV)
*Lan & I ran into the room with Yahoot's chair pile*
Yahoot: Hmm . . . Amazing. Who was this that beat MagicMan with one blow? A most impressive display.
Lan: It's over, Yahoot!
*He turned to us*
Yahoot: What do you two what?
Gwen: We want our town back to normal!
Yahoot: Oh, really. Yes. I suppose it must be a jungle out there. *he stood up* I've enjoyed our little encounter today. So I will do as you ask. But we will NetBattle again, young ones.
*Then he disappeared*
Lan: Wait!
*Suddenly, the chair pile collapsed*
Gwen: Man, it's getting ready annoying the way people keep appearing and disappearing all the time.
Lan: No kidding.
?:*off-screen* So, how bout it. Are the rumors true or what?
*We turned around & saw a boy with straight white-and-black hair that hangs down over his forehead, pale skin, sky blue eyes, & wearing a red sleeveless jacket over a black long-sleeved shirt with yellow collar & lower half, long pants with a green camouflage pattern, & a pair of black shoes, leaning against the door*
Lan: Hi . . . I, um . . . What do you mean?
Chaud: People say you two are pretty good NetBattlers. I just came to check out the competition. Gotta say, I didn't expect to have to send ProtoMan into save your Navis.
Lan: Wait. You saved Dawn and MegaMan?
(Dawn's POV)
MegaMan: So you're the famous ProtoMan? It's good to finally meet you. By the way, nice technique. Maybe I could borrow that Chip sometime.
ProtoMan: Yeah right, whatever. Consider this one a gift, kid. Hope you fight better next time. *he turned to me* And you. Be more careful in the future.
Dawn: O . . . Of course.
*Then he disappeared*
(Gwen's POV)
*Me, Lan, Maylu, & Chaud were on the roof of the TV Station*
Lan: We saw your match at the arcade today. You're pretty good. What's your name?
Chaud: Gee, thanks. I'm Chaud.
Gwen: Wait. So you're the famous NetBattler.
Maylu: I know you. You hold the record for over a 150 wins in National NetBattle Competitions. I hope Lan and Gwen didn't offend you.
Chaud: Them? Yeah, right. *that made me angry* Actually, Lan. I was hoping and your sister could improve your technique. Don't wanna embarrass yourselves at the The N1 Grand Prix. You're both building a good reputation. *he turned back to us* I hope you don't blow it. I'd like to battle both of you sometime. *he started to walk away* Later.
*Then he was gone*
Lan: He's good. But I know we can beat him, right Gwen?
Gwen: Right. We'll show him that we're just as good as him and his ProtoMan any day.
Lan: Yeah. Then we'll get Yahoot and MagicMan.
