Regulus and Ruperti walked with Kreacher among the trees discussing last Halloween. The twins amd Ruperti set up a Haunted House near Hagrid's pumpkin patch with Hagrid's help. It didn't have the same effect until Cissy, who took polyjuice potion to look like Bella, went inside. Sirius spiked Cissy's juice with polyjuice potion of Bella for shits and giggles. Everyone was scared shitless after that.
Even Peeves, who was fucking around inside with Nearly Headless Nick, who got his moment of glory, ran screaming. Moaning Myrtle stopped crying inside the doll area long enough to fly out, screaming bloody murder. Even Rab, who was at the haunted house with his gang of Barty, Severus, and Regulus, almost wrecked himself. He wss happy to be at Hogwarts to get away from Bellatrix, not see her in the most unexpected place.
But Nearly Headless Nick braved going back inside to get his momentnof glory since the Headless Horse Hunters won't let him in their club. Nearly Headless Amick excelled in the haunted house. The Fat Friar and The Grey Lady were great actors in the haunted house too. Peeves was useful for once by throwing objects at random place.
"I didn't know wizards could be afraid of haunted houses built in the muggle style," Regulus admitted.
"Muggles are scarier than you think," Ruperti replied. "Source, I troll them in their terms, that not an actual troll but a muggle term on their electric glowing box that means trick them for a reaction. Muggles think leprechauns just leave gold, we troll them too. Peeves loves the idea of trolling. I'd like to take him for human hunting with me."
Regulus arched an eyebrow at her. "You and Peeves are tight?"
Ruperti arched an eyebrow back at Regulus, smirking, "You sure are slaying the muggle slang terms."
Regulus smirked back, "you're not the only one who likes to prank muggles." Regulus told her what he did as a shark and at a bench. Ruperti chuckled.
"But we need a haunted house again," Regulus said. "Maybe you-know-who can be the main attraction but we know from experience Bellatrix stole the show last year. Do you wanna drink polyjuice and become Bellatrix this year?"
"I wouldn't mind," Ruperti said. "Maybe it will help me hide for her, she'll be hunting me down once my lordship by proxy is published."
Regulus laughed, "you forget she can't attack the Lord of Black. Sirius is too daft to the fact to consider that. Even you-know-who is Lord Slytherin and I'm. Not sure he can outright attack Lord's of other houses. Though I'm not willing to find out."
They walked past bowtruckles, and Regulus pulled her hand away from touching one on na tree. He looked at Ruperta, "my grandfather Artucurus always said no matter how manipulative and tricky a person is, they always leave a weakness behind. We must take advantage of that weakness to expose them and destabilize their threat."
They kept walking until they reached Firenze' territory. Some centaurs looked at them in apprehension but some of them recognized Ruperti and cooled down. Others looked at Kreachee and Regulus. "He's with Rupertin," Firenze said, appearing out of the clearing. "He's hiding from you-know-who and unlike the dark wizard, he respects creatures. I allow him to hide here as much as I allow his brother to run with the werewolf student in our territory."
"About my brother," Regulus begin. "His friends James, Peter, and Lily are gatekeepers your territory. They ban Ruperta from it, the upstart wizards and witch. Remus hasn't gatekeeper the territory its only Peter, James, and Lily'." Firenze didn't look pleased hearing what he did.
"That's not all," Regulus begin with a twinkle in his eyes. "Lily, that witch that hangs with them, hates Goblins. She said she wants to drop garrotijg Gas on all goblins, you can check Ruperti's memory for the quote. Ruperti has memory evidence of the bigot you allow in your territory. "
"She said galleons of Garroting Gas for Goblins, not capping, and I do keep memory evidence of all her bigotry and crazy hatred," Ruperti. "You can check my memory and pass it along tothe goblins that she's a security risk at Gringotts. Her whole family is."
Firenze nodded, tensely. "I was allowing the wizards and witch spawn into my territory because they help the student with lycantrophy. But bigoted witches who dare to try to attack creatures are not welcomed in my forest. I'll take care of it now."
Firenze stomped off. Regulus and Rupertin caught each other's eyes and grinned. They walked until they reached the territory where Remus runs around during the full moon.
Firenze didn't get there yet, maybe he was talking to his clan. Peter or James starts loudly saying get in quickly, the wards can't be open for longer than 3 minutes because bowtruckles might get in.
"Lower your voice James, Peter. You too LIly," Regulus said sharpl and coldly. "This is the Lady Black By Proxy. I don't CARE what you do but lower your mannerless voice. You're not giving us anything. You can't even lower your rude heehawing on top of your bossy powertrip. Even if you can tell your wife and her nasty mum to stay away from Ruperti, she isn't interested in their lame ego delusions."
"Get-" James begin but Firenze came.
"Enough!" He thundered, silencing James. "I was kind enough to let you use my territory, wizard. Your wife is a bigoted goblin hater, she isn't not welcome here until she goes to therapy!" Firenze reared his front legs. "And Lady Black by Proxy is welcome here, as well as Regalus. Regalus is under the Asylum of my clans territory. Anyone who challenges this challenges my entire clan."
Lily came closer. "What happened?" she asked in her fake demented saccharine voice. When she yelled, flanked by her male mouthpiece, it was a not very ladylike.
"Don't get offended if you have a mouthpiece yell for you," Regulus told her bluntly. If she had a mouthpiece, Regulus wasn't going to leave Rupertin alone with the psychopath. "Tell your mum to stay in her lane regarding Rupertin, your mum is not worthy of trying to label or dictate Rupertin. Refuse to share whatever you want but back off, you and your mum aren't in the same league as Lady Black by Proxy."
Lily huffed and turned on the two way mirror James gave her to reach her mum. "Hello," her mum said in the same fake saccharine demented way. Her sister sat there like a statue.
"Hey Mrs. Evans, Ruperta or Lady Black By proxy doesn't answer to you. Keep your opinions to yourself. If you're offended teach your daughter and son-in-law some manners. If you want to try to intimidate Lady Black By Proxy into joining your strange family's fucked up hierarchy go bark up another tree. You don't have the class to label or question Ruperta. You were once someone's daugher and got a female in-law too. You, your daughter, and family disgust me.""
LMrs. Evans gasped and looked at Lily or James to yell at Regulus, which wasn't as easy as getting as having a male mouthpiece yell at a female. James came charging at Regalus held him off and Sirius appeared behind him. Remus also stepped in to stop James. "I don't want anything James, Lily. Keep your hands away from me. You can't trap or intimidate us, especially not me. I am Lord Black so watch yourself."
He turned to Lily's mum. "Stay in your lane typical muggle. You aren't anyone to label Lady Black by Proxy anything, I don't care if we're in your filthy kingdom, we are not your subjects." He looked at Petunia who was silent, no mouthpiece of her own beside mum, and wasn't so hard or superior without Mrs. Evans blabbing or James or Lily's barking Your daughters and young family members insolence is not a good look. If you intimidate Lady Black By Proxy again, I will turn to the Black Privy Council to punish your slight on the lady Black by Proxy. Our anyone under the asylum of magik court of Black, from the days of King Arthur.. Do you even know who is in my council? Or Sirius' council to the world? You'll be shocked. They will answer to me even if it looks like it makes no sense for Sirius to listen to their council."
Mrs. Evans made an offended noise but she wasn't so hard without her unclasy game. If she wanted to insult someone, even the playing field. And take back what she gives out. Hee trashy set up reflected worse on her.
Firenze moved to corner Lily to speak with her after her mum remained, watching. The other centaurs cornered James and Peter. The centaurs were angry about Lily's Supreme bigotry.
Regulus and Rupertin laughed then left, without being harassed. "I'm gonna send Cissy this memory soon,'" Ruperti told Regalus, chuckling. "That was so overdue. Stay in your lane indeed. Both Evans can feed their her own delusional, bigoted egos." Regalus laughed.
But they were stopped by Sirius and Dumbeldore. Dumbledore gave Regulus polyjuice potion to become Sirius, it was kept on hand. Then Regalus and Ruperti went to Dumbeldore's office. They sat in squishy chairs with hard backs.
"Lemon Sherbert new Lady Black By Proxy, Lord Black?" Dumbledore asked. "This is a rare occasion for joy. And my deepest condolesces for Consort Lady Black's passing, Regalus. " His eyes twinkled but the fine lines gathering around his eyes betrayed how tired he was with the war in full swing.
"Thank you." Both accepted the Lemon Sherbert candies, which were good and sour. Both loved sour candy.
"Now how did you find Mr. Black? And how did you become Lady Black by Proxy?" Dumbeldore asked.
Rupertin explained the story with a few less details. She wasn't so sure about Dumbledore's greater good chess game. The Ladyship by proxy was Lord Black's prerogative.
"Okay, going forward we will need a cover story for how you became Lady Black by Proxy for Mr. Black the elder," Dumbeldore said. "When the prophet reporters come here, we will have to have a story of how you came to be Proxy Lady Black for Sirius. What was the time you became Proxy Lady Black?"
"4pm," Rupertin said, automatically. "I was watching the clock when I sent the message as fealty to Reglaus and was styled Lady Black by Proxy by Black Family Binding Ritual Boon."
Dumbeldore nodded. "Sirius entered the kitchen precisely at 4pm, as he didn't eat. Alot of at lunch. There were no witnesses around except myself and Peeves. The few students on break were too distraught by the news of the McKinnon Massacre, and Regalus' obituary, and thus were besides the Great Lake. However you were by the forest side near Hagrid's Hut, Ms. Weasley. No one saw precisely when Sirius left the kitchen and came to the forest near Hagrid's Hut. So with Firenze as witness, you will have been knighted Proxy Lady Black in the forest on his territory or near Hagrid's pumping patch approximately 20 minutes prior to when we met. I will talk to Sirius, his new nickname will be RAB, which stands for Rebel Agaisnt Blacks. We cannot change the letter that got you knighted by a Black ritual. Mr. Black the Younger. Please go back to your hide out for awhile, so I might fetch the real Sirius for a chat. You may leave as well Ruperta. I will call you back to discuss the letter that resulted in you being styled Lady Black by Proxy."
Regulus and Rupertin left his office.
