"Man, after all these years, I still feel like an idiot in a tux." Randy said glumly to himself while he was looking put on a bow tie in front of the hallway mirror.

"I think you look wonderful, Randy." Lucy said, walking up to her husband and planting a kiss on his cheek. "But maybe wait until we get to the cruise to wear this."

"Yeah." Randy sighed, after which he turned his attention towards Susie. "Are you sure you can handle being here alone? I can always call you a babysitter."

"Dad, we've been through this already. I don't need a babysitter. I'm seventeen now. I'm not a little kid anymore!" Susie complained. This was a big deal for Susie. Her parents are leaving town for a couple days for their anniversary. Whatever they are gonna do is something Susie doesn't want to think about. Alyssa, her older sister, had bought herself, her husband Ty, and their daughter Gabrielle a house to live in when Susie was fourteen. And Buster and Edwin, her older brothers, are in college. Unfortunately, her father thinks she's too young to be alone by herself. Now she knows what Alyssa went through when she was almost sixteen.

"You gave Alyssa a chance to babysit me, Buster, Edwin and Tommy when we were younger. You even gave the boys a chance to have the house to themselves as well. I just think it's fair that you would do the same for me."

"She's got a point." Lucy agreed with her daughter. "Give her a chance. She'll do just fine."

"All right. I'll give her a shot." Randy said which caused a smile to creep on Susie's face. "Now Susie, I want you to remember…" Before he could finish, Susie interrupted him.

"I know, I know. Don't invite too many people to the house, no partying, keep the house clean and neat when you get back."

"And?"

"And in case if anything happens, call Alyssa or use the emergency numbers by the phone."

"Very good." Randy said with a smile. "But what I was actually going to say was that since Chas's boy is going to be staying here for a while until Chas and Kira get over their flu, make sure he sleeps in the guest room. And if things get a little spicy, make sure he has protection."

"Dad!" Susie cried out in shock as her father headed upstairs to change.

"He's right, Susie. With Chuckie being a young man and you a young woman, well, we can't risk the chances."

"Mom, I promise you that me and Chuckie won't be fooling around. He's a good guy and my friend. You can trust me."

Just then, Susie and Lucy heard a car horn honking outside.

"Sounds like our cab is here." Lucy said before calling her husband upstairs. "Randy, our cab is here! Is our luggage ready?"

"They're all set! I even got the tickets too!" Randy yells from upstairs.

"There's money by the phone just in case you kids want to buy pizza or something for tonight." Lucy said as she pointed at the money. "Now Susie, I know it seems like me and your father don't believe or trust, but we are just looking out for you. We don't want you to end up like half the girls here who got pregnant at a young age."

"I know, Mom." Susie said as she hugged her mother. "You two enjoy your anniversary."

"We will." Lucy said, hugging her daughter back then kissing her on the cheek.

Randy came down the stairs with the luggage and started taking it out to the cab. Lucy followed suit and left the house.

After Randy put the luggage in the cab, it was his turn to say his goodbye to his daughter at the door.

"We're off. Remember what we said."

"I know, Dad." Susie said, getting kissed on the cheek by her father before he gets in the cab. "See you when you two get back!" She waved as the cab pulled off.

Once they left, Susie went back inside and closed the door behind her.

"Finally." Susie sighed with relief with her body leaning against the door.

Suddenly, the phone started ringing. Susie ran to it and answered it.

"Hello, Susie speaking."

"Hey Susie, how are you doing," It was Alyssa on the other line. "Are mom and dad there?"

"I'm doing alright and no, they just left." Susie answered. "Did you want something from them?"

"No, just wondering. So, you got the whole house to yourself now. Must be a big thing for you."

"It is. But Dad was suggesting that I need a babysitter. Can you believe that? Me, a seventeen year old, need a babysitter for a couple of days? What am I, three?"

"Oh, trust me Susie. I know what that's like. He did the same thing to me when I wanted to babysit you and the boys. Haven't it been for Mr. Pickles, I probably wouldn't have gotten the chance. So, what are you going to do on your first day alone?"

"Well, Chuckie is going to be staying over for a few days until his parents overcome the flu." Susie tells her sister.

"Chuckie? As in Kimi's older brother? He's the only one coming over? What about your other friends? Are they coming over too?"

"No," Susie answered. "Kimi is over at her Dad's place, Phil is off in a male bonding group with his Dad and Lil is in Las Vegas with her Mom, and Tommy, Dil, and Angelica are out of town with their parents to attend a family funeral. So it's just going to be me and Chuckie."

"Just you two, huh? What exactly are you two gonna be doing alone? You're not planning on fooling around, are you?"

"Alyssa!"

Alyssa was laughing at her sister's response, much to Susie's annoyance.

"I'm joking, I'm joking! I know you probably had this conversation with Mom and Dad."

Suddenly, the doorbell started ringing.

"That must be Chuckie. I got to go. My guest has arrived."

"I understand, girl. I got to go too anyway. Gabrielle just woke up and is a little cranky. Call me if you need anything. And Susie? Make sure he has protection."

"Girl, bye!" Susie slammed the phone down and sighed. "If I hear the word protection one more time." She muttered under her breath.

She then walks towards the door and opens it to see her friend on the other side with a suitcase.

"Hey Susie." Chuckie greeted his friend as he entered the house.

"Hey Chuckie. Glad you could make it." Susie said as she closed the door.

"Thanks. I would have gotten here earlier but my dad decided it was the right time to give me the talk."

Susie laughed. "I know how you feel. My parents did a similar thing to me not that long ago."

Chuckie also laughed but nervously. "Speaking of which, are they still here?"

"No. We're the only ones here. Let me take you to the room you will be sleeping in and we can get this started."

"Okay." Chuckie said as he followed Susie walked up the stairs. "Okay, Chuckie. No need to get nervous. You have been in her house a lot of times before so this isn't something new. And besides, this is Susie we're staying with. What's the worst that could happen?" He thought to himself.

Chuckie was right. He had been here a couple times in the past. However, he and Susie are no longer toddlers. Chuckie has grown to be a handsome young man with a slim masculine build and a short beard, his freckles and braces are now gone, his voice has gotten a bit deeper, and he has a massive growth spurt. And Susie has grown to be a beautiful young woman whose body has developed as the times goes by. Something Chuckie couldn't help but notice as he found himself staring at her from behind.

"This is going to be a long few days."
