[The episode opens with a distant view of Caillou's house on Conch Street in front of the pink sky surrounded by a heart-shaped coral nearby.]
Caillou: [opens his house door with a bunch of hearts in his arms] Happy Valentine's Day! [throws hearts everywhere]
[The hearts transition to Caillou handing hearts to his parents and Rosie, who envelop the boy in a giant hug. Another transition shows him giving Leo and valentine, who gives him the exact same one, making the duo laugh. Another transition shows Caillou giving one to Ms. Martin who likes the heart, but her car runs into a fire hydrant. Another transition to a dejected Gilbert walking into one of Caillou's legs. Caillou gives Gilbert a tiny heart, who seems surprised at the heart. Another transition shows Caillou leaping over to Sarah's house.]
Sarah: ハッピーバレンタインデー, Caillou. I'm nuts for you. [gets out an heart-shaped acorn nut with an arrow stuck through it]
Caillou: [puts the acorn away and takes out a bottle of chocolate syrup] Well, I'm bubbles for you, Sarah. [blows a chocolate heart bubble]
Sarah: [sticks her tongue out and closes her eyes, the chocolate heart lands and pops on her tongue as she eats it, and she licks her lips] Mmmm, chocolate. Mighty tasty. Clem's gonna love the one you made for her.
[A giant chocolate hot air balloon with a simple Clementine drawing on it is shown.]
Caillou: Only the best for my baby.
[Caillou and Sarah run over to the balloon. Sarah gets into the basket]
Sarah: Take me through the plan again.
Caillou: Okay. [blows a chocolate carnival] Step one: [manly voice] Clemenetine and I get to the Valentine's Day carnival. [a chocolate Cailllou and Clementine fly in and hop onto the carnival] [regular voice] Step two: [manly voice] I position Clementine and myself on top of the Ferris wheel. [both of them hop over to the Ferris wheel where it rides up to the top. Blows a chocolate hot air balloon] [regular voice] Step three: [manly voice] You arrive at the designated checkpoint for maximum visual contact. [the balloon floats over above the carnival] [regular voice] Step four: [manly voice] Clementine is thrilled. Mission accomplished.
[Chocolate bursts all over the screen and transitions to Clementine with a Valentine's Day shirt and putting a big rock on the ground and pounds the rock into the shape of a heart and picks it up]
Caillou: [walks up behind Clementine] Hi, Clem.
Clementine: Hey, babe. [holds the rock in her hands] Happy Valentine's Day! Here's your present.
Caillou: And I have a present for you!
Clementine: You do?
Caillou: It's the greatest... [Clementine gets excited] ...the bestest... [Clementine gets more excited] ...the most fantabulous... [Clementine gets even more excited] ...present ever! [Clementine bounces and rolls all around, all excited and overjoyed] But you can't have it yet. [Clementine stops rolling and bouncing around]
Clementine: Huh? Why not?
Caillou: Because it's not ready yet.
Clementine: Is it ready now?
Caillou: Not yet.
Clementine: How about now?
Caillou: Do you want to ruin the surprise?
Clementine: Yes!
Caillou: Uh-uh-uh-uh-uh!
Clementine: Oh, come on, please!
Caillou: Hmmm...nope, sorry.
Clementine: [grabs on to Caillou's legs and feet] You gotta tell me!
Caillou: No can do! [laughs] You'll just have to wait! But I do have a special date for us.
Clementine: Really?! Okay, let's go!
[They arrive at the carnival]
Caillou: Okay, Clem, here we are.
Clementine: Wow!
Caillou: [takes a quarter out of his pocket] Here, why don't you take this quarter and buy some cotton candy.
Clementine: Cotton candy! I love cotton candy! [chases the cotton candy seller] Cotton candy!
Cotton Candy Seller: Hey, get away! Hey!
Sarah: Sarah to Caillou. [Caillou takes out a walkie-talkie where Sarah's voice is coming from] Sarah to Caillou. Come in, Caillou.
Caillou: Ten-four, Sarah, Caillou here. [we see Sarah closing in with the balloon on the carnival]
Sarah: [floating toward the carnival in the balloon] I got a visual on the carnival. You want me to bring her in?
Caillou: Ohh, not yet, Sarah. I gotta get Clem onto the ferris wheel.
Sarah: [chuckles] Got it. Tell me when to bring home the bacon. Sarah out. [To herself] That Caillou... [a group of orange flying pigeons are heading toward the balloon] Pigeons? Wait, not just any pigeons. Chocolate-eating pigeons!
Clementine: I got the cotton candy. Now can you tell me what it is? I can't take it!
Caillou: Sorry, toots. You'll have to guess!
Clementine: [points at a tent] This tent?
Caillou: No.
Clementine: [holds up some random woman who is waiting in line for Heart-A-Whirl] This woman?
Caillou: No. [we see microorganisms crawling around; it's Clementine's view through a microscope]
Clementine: This paramecium?
Caillou: [laughs] Nope.
Clementine: [giggles] Heh, you're a sly one. I can't find it here in the carnival...because it's on top of Mount 'Climb Up and Fall Off'. [she runs up the mountain and falls off then runs back to Caillou] It wasn't there either!
Caillou: Are you sure? Better check again. [Clementine runs up the mountain and falls off again; Caillou uses his walkie-talkie to tell Sandy something] Caillou to Sarah, you can bring it in now.
Sarah: Uhh, about that. We've got ourselves a little problem. [Sarah is using a whip to shoo the pigeons away] I got a pack of chocolate-eating pigeons trying to rustle the balloon! Hi-yah! Get away, you sweet-toothed varmints! Hi-yah! I'm going to be a little late!
Caillou: [gets worried] Late? But what about... [Clementine still jumping on and off mountain] ...Clem?
Sarah: Hi-ya! Take her up to the Ferris wheel and I'll meet you there! Over and out!
Caillou: [puts away the walkie-talkie] If Clem doesn't get her valentine... [screams]
Clementine: [suddenly appears from behind, all bruised] I'm pretty sure it's not up there, babe!
Caillou: Clem! Uhh, actually it's on the Ferris...
Clementine: Ferris wheel!
[Clementine grabs Caillou and runs toward the Ferris wheel. Bubble transition to the two on the Ferris wheel being brought to the top.]
Clementine: I'm ready for the greatest Valentine's present in the whole world now, babe.
Caillou: Well, this is where you're gonna get it...I hope. Just keep looking out there, pal. [Caillou talks to Sarah again on the walkie-talkie] Caillou to Sarah, Caillou to Sarah, come in, Sarah! [Sarah is still fighting the chocolate eating pigeons]
Sarah: Sarah to Caillou, I got my ox in a ditch here! I'm way off course! The pigeons are eating the balloon! They're everywhere! [One pigeon bites the balloon and the air goes out and it floats down] Aw, shoot! We're going down, Caillou! Switch to plan B!
Caillou: [shocked] There is no plan B, Sarah! "[but his walkie-talkie goes static]" No, B! Noooo! D'oh! [Clementine is smiling big waiting for his surprise] Uh, Clem, you know how sometimes you plan something special and things don't just work out?
Clementine: No. So, where's my valentine?! Tell me! Where is it?! Valentine! Valentine! Valentine!
[She moves the ferris wheel seats back and forth and then up and down. Next, the Ferris wheel is jumping up and down and then Caillou puts out his hand]
Caillou: Clem, here it is!
[Clementine stares at Caillou hand]
Clementine: What's that?
Caillou: It's a handshake... a handshake of love.
Clementine: A handshake? That's the big gift you got me? A handshake?
Caillou:Of love. Happy Valentine's Day, my snuggle bunny!
[Clementine pauses then shakes Caillou's hand, stares at it, and makes a grumpy looking face. Caillou laughs and the Ferris wheel descends. At the Buddy Bounce, Caillou is happily jumping while Clementine is still looking at her hand with the same grumpy look. At the roller coaster, Caillou is happily raising his hands while Clementine is still looking at her hand with the same grumpy look. At the fun house, Caillou is happily jumping as the air blows his head upwards separate from his pants while Clementine is simply grumpily walking as the air just blows her skirt. Bubble transition to them sitting in the bench.]
Clementine: [sighs and stops grumpily looking at jer hand] I've been thinking. At first, a handshake doesn't seem like much, but really it's the thought that counts… [Emma walks up with a box shaped like a heart full of chocolates in her arms]
Emma: Hey, Caillou, I just wanted to thank you for this box of chocolates.
Caillou: Uh, no problem, Emma. [Emma walks off]
Clementine: And even though I was expecting more... [Xavier with roses walks up]
Xavier: Thanks for the roses, Caillou. Happy Valentine's Day.
Caillou: You too, Xav. [Xavier walks off]
Clementine: (ahem) It really doesn't matter since we've been friends for so long... [Someone walks by with a bike]
Random guy: Hey, Caillou, thanks for the bike! [talking to Clementine] Can you believe this guy? I just met him this morning! [The guy walks away, and Clementine begins to fume]
Clementine: So as I was saying...
Incidental: Uh, excuse me, do you guys have the time?
Clementine: [turns red in anger, snaps and yells with rage, which is followed by her picking up and throwing Incidental across the screen, shocking Caillou] WHY DIDN'T YOU GET ME ANYTHING GOOD?! I DESERVE LOVE TOO, DON'T I?! I'M YOUR GIRLFRIEND FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! AND YOU GOT ME A HANDSHAKE?!
Caillou: Of lo-
[Clementne goes psycho freaky. A crashing sound is heard. She furiously bangs her chest like a gorilla, grunts angrily as he runs closer towards the screen, angrily approaches a balloon cart, then furiously cuts the balloon strings from a salesman and furiously smashes the balloon cart with his fists. Cut to a scene where children play with a guy in a heart suit; the children run off as Clementine approaches]
Clementine: I defy you, Heart man! [Clementine angrily rips the suit in half and continues her rampage]
P.A. System: Attention, everyone, there's a crazy african american girl on the loose! [everyone runs screaming; Clementine sees a twirl-around ride that has hearts on it and goes mad over it]
Clementine: Heart on stick must die!
[She goes to the pole and tries to pick it up but gives up eventually in tiredness; Clementine sees Tina eating a heart-shaped lollipop and turns red in anger]
Clementine: Heart on stick must die!
[She grabs it, breaks it, and stuffs it in her mouth. Tina screams as Clementine takes the lollipop.]
Caillou: [gasps; gets mad] Clem!
Clementine: [turns around with an evil look on her face; angrily grumbles gibberish in a barbaric manner, making everyone scared and run to a dead-end at the Goo Lagoon dock; Clementine roars with rage]
[Everyone gets scared.]
Clementine: Give me Caillou! [Caillou is thrown in front of the group of citizens]
Caillou: TRAITORS! [He notices Clementine and laughs nervously]
Clementine: You broke my heart! Now I'm gonna break something of yours!
Caillou: Okay, Clem, I know I deserve this. [notes the crowd] But, do they?
Clementine: They didn't get me anything either! [They throw a pile of gifts at Clementine's feet] Nope, it's too late for that now... for all of you!
[She menacingly walks towards the crowd. The citizens take a step back and Caillou is scared; Clementine's shadow looms over Caillou's horrified face as he prepares to face the inevitable as Clementine roars and growls maniacally. Suddenly, Sarah arrives just in time behind Clementine with the repaired balloon and whipping at the pigeons]
Sarah: Yee-haw! Get along, little birds! Giddy up, you pigeons! [whipping the pigeons as she lands in the carnival with the balloon right behind Clementine and letting the scallops go]
Caillou: [smiles, relieved] Yeah! it's here! Woo-hoo! Look, Clementine, it's here! It's here! The best Valentine in the whole wide world is right behind you! [jumping up and down pointing behind Clementine]
Clementine: [ignores Caillou] Sure it is.
Caillou: [jumping] I'm telling you, it's right there! Turn around!
Clementine: Uh-uh.
Caillou: [desperately] Clem, just turn around! [Clementine still wouldn't listen. Everyone is yelling at her to turn around, but she doesn't]
Crowd: Turn around! You nincompoop! Why you!
Clementine: You must think I'm pretty dumb, huh?!
Crowd: Yes! Turn around!
Clementine: No!
Crowd: [chanting] Turn around! Turn around!
Clementine: Nuh-uh! I'm gonna say this once and I'm not going to say it again, so pay attention! I am not, I repeat, not going to turn around for any reason... ever!
Sarah: Konnichiwa, Clementine!
Clementine: [turns around] Not now, Sarah )-! [notices the chocolate balloon, then is confused and speaks gibberish]
Caillou: Happy Valentine's Day, my snuggle bunny! [Clementine jumps for joy and jumps on the balloon]
Clementine: Yay! My valentine! Hey, is this solid chocolate?
Caillou: Clem, no! [Clementine bites the balloon and chocolate explodes everywhere. Caillou and Clementine are in the mess]
Clementine: Aw, baby... You didn't have to get me anything. [The two start laughing as they wipe chocolate off each other and eat it..]
