Luna and Julia we're in the courtyard studying, classes had begun weeks ago and the two wanted to make sure they didn't fall behind on their grades. The two still noticed that same girl that rejected Julia's help weeks ago, but neither decided to bother her. Until one day, outside the castle by the black lake, a fight broke out between that girl and another girl. Julia and Luna were passing by when they saw the fight, the pink and brown haired girl was fighting against a girl with black hair with a fade of red. Julia rushed down and stopped got in between the fight.
"Woah woah woah, what's going on here?" She asked.
"Neo attacked me!" The girl with black hair said.
"Whose Neo?" Julia asked.
The girl pointed at the pink and brown hair girl and everything made sense now. Neo was short for Neopolitan. Neo didn't say anything but glared at the black hair girl.
"What's your name?" Julia asked.
"Ruby Rose" Ruby said.
Luna interjected.
"Do you two know each other from somewhere?" She asked.
Neo glared at Ruby but nodded, signing angrily while holding a bowler hat.
"She says that Ruby is responsible for someone named Roman's death." Julia said after translating Neo's sign.
Both Luna and Neo were left in shock that Julia understood sign language, but Ruby spoke up.
"I didn't kill Roman, he was eaten by a Grimm!" Ruby yelled.
Neo looked at her like she didn't believe her, but after looking at the hat and finding a black feather inside it, she backed down.
"What's a Grimm?" Luna asked.
Ruby and Neo looked at Luna like she had just asked the dumbest question in the world.
"Y'know, giant black demon creatures?" Ruby said.
"Never seen or heard of them" Julia said, Luna nodding in agreement.
"This is Remnant, isn't it?" Ruby asked.
"Remnant? Is that some town or?" Julia asked.
Ruby looked at Neo, and the two for once in their lives saw eye to eye.
The four were in the Ravenclaw dorms, somewhere Ruby wasn't supposed to be cause she was a Gryffindor. Ruby had explained everything about how she and Neo came from a place called Remnant.
"And the last thing you remember was?" Julia asked.
"Me and Neo were fighting with our original weapons. And suddenly, we both got knocked out and woke up in this world. Not to long after, I receive a letter to this school" Ruby said.
Neo signed a little to clarify the exact same thing happened to her.
"How did you two end up here…" Julia pondered.
Luna then piped up.
"More importantly, how did they get letters to Hogwarts only being in this world a short while?" She said.
It then struck Julia.
"Dumbledore!" She exclaimed.
The four rushed towards Dumbledores office after requesting to go see him to Professor McGonagal. Once they arrived, they reached the headmaster.
"Professor, we need to-" Julia started but Dumbledore held his hand up to silence her.
"I know why you're here" He said.
"Y-you do?" Luna asked.
"Yes, Miss Rose and Miss Politan are not from this world, it seems like their world and ours is connected somehow. Almost as if by fate." He says.
"Fate?" Ruby asked quizzically.
Dumbledore nodded.
"It appears as if both you and Miss Politan were brought here by something we call, a Translocation Gem" Dumbledore said calmly as he stood up and paced around the room.
"Do you think that this… gem could get us back?" Ruby asked.
"Yes, I believe so, however… I fear that someone hid it in this castle ages ago, so not even I know it's definite location. From what I know of the Gem, it usually saves a select person from another universe to save from a horrible fate. But never before have I heard it summon two people at once" He said.
"Ruby, didn't you say that you and Neo were together when it happened" Julia asked.
Ruby and Neo both nodded.
"It could be that Miss Rose being close to Miss Politan caused her to get taken with Miss Politan" Dumbledore said.
"Is there a way for us to get back?" Ruby asked.
"Perhaps… finding the Gem within the castle, will help. However… I request you do so outside your studies" Dumbledore said.
Neo began to sign angrily, causing Dumbledore looked at Julia to translate.
"She says why should she study when she doesn't belong here" Julia said.
"Bad grades will get you kicked out of this school, with no way of getting back in. And considering finding another gem could take even longer than finding it in this castle, I'd Recommend you to keep them high" Dumbledore said in a slightly stern tone.
Ruby nodded but Neo scoffed. Julia on the other hand spoke for the two.
"Thank you sir for your time, we'll be going now." Julia said as the four began to leave.
Dumbledore watched them leave and waved to them. They began walking back to the dorms where Ruby split up from them to head back to the Gryffindor dorms. Julia looked at Neo and then at Luna.
"So… what now?" Julia asked the two.
Neo shrugged and Luna wasn't even paying much attention. The trio arrived at the Ravenclaw dormitory and they all sat down. Neo playing around with her umbrella and Luna staring out at the night sky. Julia decides to join Luna by the window as the two stared out at the beautiful starry night sky. Neo also joined them after a little while as the three all gazed at the night sky. After a small bit of silence, Julia broke it.
"Guess we have some research to do then" she said.
"Yeah, guess we do" Luna replied.
The three decided to head to bed for the night, knowing that the next morning they'd be hard at work trying to figure out where the Translocation Gem might be hidden within the castle walls. They knew it wasn't gonna be easy but they had to try.
