Episode 14: The Final Confrontation with Azrael
Diego and Natalie have arrived back at the future at the volcano. Diego is holding both time stones in each hand.
Diego: I know how to save our world, now. We don't have to change the past. I'm sure of it.
Natalie (OC): So you have a plan? (Diego looks at her and nods.) Well then, let's hurry. I sense his flames.
Natalie walks and looks around, then looks at Diego. Both look at each other and know what to do, and they walk into Flame Core together.
(Play Flame Core - Volcano from Sonic 06 for this section)
Diego: I'm coming, Azrael!
Natalie leads the way on her Skarmory with Diego following her on his Altaria.
Natalie (OC): When we get to Azrael, we can use the Time Stones to seal him!
Diego: Right! (They continue to fly through Flame Core and when they landed on the platforms floating on lava, they returned their Pokémon to their Pokéballs.) I'll take care of this!
Natalie (OC): Okay!
They hop through several platforms floating on the lava rocks and on the big platforms, several fire creatures pop out roaring.
Diego: Get out of my way! (The fire creatures charge at them.) Come on out Ivysaur!
Natalie (OC): Raichu, come on out!
They release both Pokémon and they begin to battle the fire creatures.
Diego: The ground here is unstable with lava... It's probably because of him! (The fire creatures charge at them again.) Ivysaur, use Solar Beam!
Natalie (OC): Raichu, use Thunderbolt!
Both Pokémon use their moves to attack the fire creatures and defeat them. After that, more fire creatures pop out and both Pokémon continue use their most powerful moves to attack the fire creatures. They have continued to use their most powerful moves to them. After defeating all of the fire creatures, they return Ivysaur and Raichu back to their Pokéballs and began to make their way go through the cave and when they came out the other side of the cave, they see a waterfall of lava and they began to fly them above it. Both flying type Pokémon began to fly the two trainers through the location and then they are surrounded by more fire creatures.
Diego: Heh, no matter how many of you come, it's a waste of time! (They both release their Pokémon and battled the fire creatures.They continued to fight the creatures until all of them were defeated.After returning their Pokémon except for Skarmory and Altaria, they made it through and out the short cave and see more lava rocks raining down.) You're not gonna get in my way, Azrael!
Altaria and Skarmory fly both Diego and Natalie through the final part of the outside of Flame Core and are about to approach the volcano.
Natalie (OC): We're about to go inside that volcano! You ready?
Diego: I was born ready! Let's go kick Azrael's ass!
Natalie nods and both Pokémon fly their trainers into the inside of the volcano.

Diego and Natalie have entered the volcanic cave on Altaria and Skarmory and both Pokémon take them to the lower part of the cave. A few fire creatures pop out.
Diego: Altaria, use Dragon Pulse!
Natalie (OC): Skarmory, use Ice Beam!
Both Pokémon use their most powerful moves on the fire creatures and the door opens. They got inside the room where it is now dark.
Diego: What is that thing?
Natalie (OC): Skarmory, use hyper beam on that light orb!
Skarmory used Hyper Beam on the orb and it lights up the part of the roomthey were in. Both Pokémon began to fly their trainers through the room. They then defeated all the fire and purple creatures in their way. After that, instead of going to the right door where Ash, Brock, Misty, Max and Gary went through earlier, they went through the left door to continue their path. The next room was lit up and a couple fire creatures pop out.
Diego: Altaria, use Dragon Pulse again!
Altaria uses Dragon Pulse on the fire creature and defeated them all and the door to the next part of the cave opens and that part was dark.
Natalie (OC): Skarmory, use Wing Attack on that orb!
Skarmory uses Wing Attack on the orb and the room is lit up.
Diego: Good job! Now let's keep going! (Diego and Natalie keep making it through the cave. Their Pokémon fly them up the lava and they attack the fire and purple creatures in their path. After that, they made it out the part of the cave they were in.) Okay! Let's move on! (Altaria and Skarmory continue to fly their trainer into through the next part of the cave and they use their moves to blast the fire creatures. After that, they battle the remaining fire creatures that ambushed them and defeated them. The door opens and they go through it and the first thing they saw was a huge ball of flame that sends out shock waves once every 15 seconds.) What is that ball of flame? Is that the power of Azrael?!
Natalie (OC): Yeah. It's his core. We gotta find a way to destroy it.
Diego: Yeah. (They began to make their way to the ball.) It seems like the attacks come in regular intervals...
Natalie (OC): Yeah. We must stop it.
They began to make it to the next wall, which protects them from the next shockwave.
Diego: I have to get closer and Altaria, you use your power directly at it! (Altaria nods and they fly to the next wall. After that, they fly to the next wall before another shockwave appears. Altaria flies above the ball.) Let's go! Altaria, use Dragon Pulse! (Altaria uses its move to fire at the ball, and it cracks. Altaria gives it her all and it was strong enough to blast the ball into several pieces and it hits the ground and clears the lava below it to reveal a clear patch of ground.) Just as I expected. (Diego and Natalie return their Pokémon and ran into the final part of the cave, which leads to where Azrael is located.) Now all I have to do is take him down! (They approached a flame power door.) You ready?
Natalie (OC): I was born ready. Raichu, come on out and use Iron Tail!
Raichu was released and uses Iron Tail to destroy the door and they ran through it after Natalie returns Raichu to its Pokéball.
Diego and Natalie are running right up to confront Azrael, who emerges from the flames for one final fight.
Diego: C'mon, Azrael! This time I'll finally stop you!
Azrael gives out a roar and approaches to attack them.

Azrael begins to battle from a distance and it shoots out several balls.
Diego: Here I come, Azrael! This will be your end!
He released Gardevoir and Azrael throws a bunch of lava rocks at them, but Gardevoir use Psychic to throw them back at Azrael.
Natalie (OC): It looks like he's about to approach his final form. We'll be in trouble if he gets close.
Diego: You're right.
Azrael begins to send waves of flames towards the two trainers and their Pokémon.
Natalie (OC): Diego, watch out! He sends waves of flames!
Diego: Everyone, dodge the waves quickly!
They begin to dodge the waves and when Azrael got closer and closer. He then approached them.
Natalie (OC): He's trying to destroy the foothold! Watch out!
Azrael begins to press its hands on both sides and the two sides of the foothold collapse. Azrael begins to taunt Diego.
Diego: Gardevoir, use Shadow Ball!
Gardevoir uses Shadow Ball on Azrael and it was a direct hit to the head. Azrael begins to hold its head as it backs into the distance and begins to create a gigantic 50 foot lava ball.
Natalie (OC): He's trying to destroy the foothold from a distance!
Diego: That will kill us instantly! Gardevoir, get ready to use Psychic to catch the ball! (Gardevoir nods as Azrael throws the ball towards the foothold. She then uses Psychic to grab the ball and then throws it at Azrael. Azrael begins to shoot waves of flames again after getting halfway close. After that, the fire monster made it to the foothold and pressed his hands on it and two more pieces of the foothold go down. Gardevoir uses Shadow Ball to attack Azrael's head again.) Just a little more. I will end this now!
When Azrael got back to the distance, it begins to create another gigantic lava ball. It then throws the ball and then Gardevoir uses Psychic to catch it and throws it at Azrael and defeats it. Azrael falls backwards into the lava and was defeated for good.
After the battle, the flame pillar rises up, and bits of magma fall onto the ground. Azrael becomes a ball of flame again.
Diego: (Holding both Time Stones) Time Stones, lend me your power! Eternal Sun! The Living Flame that has been entrusted to the royal family! Fall into slumber with my soul, Azrael! You cursed Flames of Disaster! (Both Time Stones glow up, and Diego lets out a yell, as Azrael's flames are absorbed into both Time Stones at once, which try to inject them as beams of light into Diego. However, the beams seem to hurt him rather than accept him, and light glows on his chest.) No! Why won't it accept me as the vessel? (Diego tries using his strength to seal Azrael in his body, but feels pain each time. Natalie puts her hand on his shoulder, and he looks at her.) Natalie!
Natalie (OC): I'll take Azrael. (Diego looks at Natalie in shock.) Don't worry. My soul is already alit with flames. I will be accepted. (Natalie takes the stones from him and uses their power between him and Azrael. The emeralds glow up as Silver kneels down, and Azrael is absorbed into both stones at once. Flames swirl around her as her chest glows up in light.) Come on, make it quick. Use the power of all of your Pokémon... to stop time. Then... seal us into a different dimension.
Diego: (In shock) No! I can't do that to you!
Natalie (OC): (Looks at him) Didn't we already go through this? We agreed to save the world at any price!
Diego is stunned again, then tries to release all of his Pokémon to use their power, but can't do it.
Diego: (Saddened) I can't! I wouldn't know what to do without you! You've fought alongside me to save the world... You're my friend... Right?
Natalie (OC): (Disappointed) You're still so naive. But... (Turns to face Diego) I... I've always liked that about you.
Natalie holds out both time stone, then releases all of her Pokémon, then closes her eyes and focuses her thoughts, then uses all of their power. A dark shield appears around her, and she drops both stones and all of her Pokémon's Pokéballs as she and Azrael fade into the void.
Diego: Natalie!
Diego chases the vanishing Natalie and stops at where she floats up and waves goodbye.
Natalie (OC): Good luck, Diego!
Natalie floats upward and glows up with Azrael as Diego looks up; she floats up to the clouds, and explodes in light. Rays of light descend upon Diego, and Crisis City brightens up, quenching the lava and the flames altogether. Diego looks up in the sky, and the sun appears in the now-clear sky above where Natalie had been. Diego stands next to the two stones as he mourns her loss next to the lava pool as the camera pulls upward from them at the cliff. Natalie's Pokémon comfort Diego and began to mourn the loss of their trainer.
