Paige woke up and groaned as the sun streamed in through the window. "What happened to our curtains?" she complained to her husband.
"Sorry!" Henry rushed over to the windows to close their curtain. "Didn't mean to wake you. How are you feeling?"
"Better than I did last night." The morning sickness was really kicking her ass, and she was over it. Piper's advice had been semi-helpful, at least. She sighed, forced herself out of bed, and then went to find some saltine crackers to settle her stomach.
"I still can't believe we're having twins," Henry murmured once Paige finished eating.
"Twins threw us all for a loop - you're not special," she teasingly responded.
He cocked his head and shook his head in amusement. "We're not going to have mornings like this once these babies are here. We should enjoy it."
"Not like we get lazy mornings most days," she pointed out. Her Whitelighter and witch duties called her a lot of the time. Her poor charges thankfully understood why she was a little off recently and didn't hold it against her. Orbing was hit or miss these days, even with two babies who were part Whitelighter. Paige finally understood how Piper felt during her first pregnancy, when Wyatt kept fucking with her powers, and wished she had been a little more understanding and sympathetic.
"Exactly." Henry shot her a pointed look, which she ignored. He did stand up and pull his wife into his arms for a hug, however.
"What's this for? Not that I'm complaining." She was just a little confused since the hugging had come out of nowhere.
"I can't hug my pregnant wife? Just comforting you, Paige. Get used to this because I'll be like this for the remainder of your pregnancy. And most likely afterwards too."
Paige sighed. "Want to watch some TV?" She could use a distraction.
Henry nodded. "Of course we can." They left the kitchen and made their way into the living room, sitting down to watch TV. He let her have control of the remote since this was basically his fault (which she'd let him know several times already. He took full responsibility, even though she was partially to blame too. But he wasn't about to say that to his pregnant wife's face - he knew better).
They got their lazy morning but shortly after noon, one of Paige's charges started calling for her. "Well, that was fun while it lasted," she sighed. She glanced down at her still flat stomach. "Kids, you better let your mommy orb this time. Do not test me."
Fortunately for her, the twins did let her orb out and help her charge. Unfortunately, the morning sickness soon came back with a vengeance.
