Meanwhile, Kate and her girlfriend, Lily Palmer, are invited by Pinkie Lancer to celebrate new years party at a rental apartment in Liberty City, she invited most everyone in our group, but most of them were busy, even Carly. Only ones who were able to show up were Kate and Packie. But still, it was enough.
Kate Bellic is actually a very attractive girl, again, like most of them. She has black/brown hair, but for unknown reasons she dyed it white, though it does look good on her, I give her that. Her girlfriend Lily Palmer has short brown hair, and like Kate, she is otherwise normal. In fact, Lily's not even a criminal, she's nurse for the hospital, one of the few characrers who managed to find a normal life outside the underworld, and got Kate into it to, getting Kate a job there as well. So the duo's only job in the group, is team medic.
However, Lily is also the only one who's gunininely likes Lazlo, and turns out to be a big fan of him, which, admittedly adorably, causes her to be the only one Lazlo actually likes. As she's the only one who laughs at his lame jokes.
At the party, Lazlo is wearing a red and white santa hat over a red button up shirt tucked into black dress pants with a brown belt.
"So what are my options again?" Kate asked as everyone's gathered around for a gift exchange game/white elephant party.
"Okay, so you can either steal one of the gifts, or you can open one of the still wrapped ones around the table.'' Pinkie explained, the game was her idea and she's acting as the host.
"Well as much as I want to steal that nerf cyber hoop from Packie, I think I'll open one." Kate replied, eyeing a huge box in the middle of the coffee table.
''Whaaat, why would you do that?" Lazlow asked, unintentionally making himself look very suspicious.
''Only problem is, which one do I choose.'' Kate thought out loud.
''The big one looks promising.'' Lily said, wearing a gray sweater with a big Santa face, pointing at an unopened box with blue paper with little snowmen on it.
''Yeah I was thinking that two.'' Kate said excitedly.
"Oh, I can almost guarantee there's nothing in there," Lazlow said, rather quickly and defensively at that.
"Oh come on, maybe it's an xbox or something" Packie said playfully.
''Oh don't be silly, the limit was like 20 dollars." Pinkie replied.
"Yeah Irish, shut the fuck up!" Lazlow cried, leaving a small uncomfortable silence.
"Katie, think about it. The best gifts. Come in small packages" Lazlow insisted, pointing at the smaller one.
"Hmm, you're right" Kate said, grabbing the smallest present. But it turns out to be just some gum.
"Oh.. Sweet" She said, a bit disappointed.
''Look, it's the limited addition one.'' Packie said excitedly, leaning up and pointing at the cover. Clearly he bought it.
''Yeah, I.. Hope nobody steals my gum.'' Kate said in a deadpan tone.
"Your turn Lazlo." Pinkie said.
"Cool, I'll take the big one," Lazlow said.
''But you just said...'' Kate started.
"Yeah, but you got gum. So I was clearly wrong."
''The best gum.'' Packie insisted.
"Yeah this is the limited edition candy cane mint.. I would totally steal this'' Kate insisted, though not sounding overly confident about it.
"Katie, sweetie, I ain't stealing your gum dude, relax" Lazlow said.
Lazlow opens the box. Turns out it was an Xbox.
"Sweet!.. An XBox!" Lazlow cried, revealing it's an X-BoxOne.
"What the fuck?!'' Packie cried, the kids being old enough he's free to swear away.
''Woah, woah, The limit was like 20 dollars, who bought this?!" Pinkie cried out.
"Yeah aren't those like 500 dollars?" Lily asked, rhetorically.
"I know right! But as they say, when life gives you lemons..." Lazlow laughed.
''It gives you an XBox?'' Kate asked, confused.
"Right?! Crazy!" Lazlow laughs.
''Whatever, Pinkie your turn.'' Lily said.
"Sweet, I'll steal the xbox then" Pinkie said, grabbing it from Lazlow.
"What?! You can't do that, can she do that?!" Lazlow cried nervously.
"Yes.. But on the bright side it's your turn again" Packie said.
"Then I'll steal it back," Lazlow said.
"No, no, you can't steal a gift that's just been stolen from you." Pinkie said.
"Who's making these dumbass rules?!" Lazlo cried, childishly.
"Look just pick something else." Packie told him.
Grumbling, Lazlow opened a present to find Jacob's ladder.
"What the fuck is this?!" Lazlow said annoyedly and childishly.
"Jacob's ladder is silly, you take it, you flip it and it makes that little clicking sound, it's fun," Kate said, hinting at being the buyer of it.
"Really, can I play Righteous Slaughter on it?" Lazlow snarked angrily, sounding like a pouting child while moving the thing up and down letting it make clicking sounds.
''No but you can take it from the bottom and it just never stops clicking.'' Sachi said, with some cute excitement.
Lazlow flips the toy around to make more clicking sounds, with an annoyed expression.
''Yeah, really. Really neat.'' Lazlow groaned before violently slamming it down and stood up screaming ''THIS IS BULLSHIT!"
''Whoa whoa, chill.'' Packie said nervously.
''GIVE ME THE XBOX!"
"Wha- No!" Pinkie cried.
"THAN FUCK YOU!" Lazlow screamed.
"The gums stil-"
"FUCK YOU TWO KATE!" Lazlow screamed, flipping her off. Though Kate is more confused than angry.
''Look, look, lets just all calm down, get some drinks, come back later.'' Pinkie said.
''Whatever.'' Lazlow cried, taking an overdramatic first step on his way to the kitchen.
Lily lets out a small chuckle. "I'm sorry, he just gets me." she admitted.
While everyone's watching the fireworks on TV, Pink is still holding the xbox while chatting with the others, Lazlow is pouting over by himself in the corner, but finds Lily coming back from the washroom.
Lazlo makes a deal with her that when her turn comes, she steal the xbox. In exchange he'll give her free tickets to his standup.
But when Lily's time comes, she forgets the plan and opens the last present.
This immediately causes Lazlow to snap at her, sarcastically complimenting her decision while yelling at her. Lily is actually seen trying not to laugh.
Lazlo eventually reveals that he himself was the one who bought the Xbox.
"Woah hey, you can't pick your own gifts." Pinkie told him, annoyedly.
"Well how about this sis, this game is stupid, and I hate you!" Lazlow cried angrily. Packie doesn't even look angry. In fact she looked confused
"Wait, if you wanted an xbox why did you put in a gift exchange?" Packie asked.
"Jee I don't know Irish, why'd the Grinch give all the presets back?!" Lazlow asked rhetorically, Packie has the same confused reaction.
"Waitm you live here, we're roommates. Now calm down and have another beer." Pinkie insisted, Lazlow annoyedly sits down. But without warning he literally grabs the system and runs out the apartment building, his car heard speeding away.
"… He literally lives here, so I don't know where he's going." Pinkie groaned.
