"Hm?" Amidst an eerily quiet alleyway away from any street light or illumination in the darkness of the night, a lone boy blinked in confusion as they came to be.

Correction: Some weak illumination from above him alerted him of light, specifically from the bleached, flowing hair falling to his shoulders. Hair that almost seemed radioactive, but Agito, the boy mentioned above, knew better.

*Bvvrrrr…*

A low rumble emanated from afar as Agito's round, fluffy ears, which he hadn't noticed until now, twitched. Agito casually placed his hands into his black leather jacket and turned around, feeling the bushy, cylindrical tail behind him sail through the air as he moved his body.

"Hello there." Agito quipped at the group of hulking monstrosities made of eerie black material and adorned with white, bony masks of sorts. He took one of his hands out of his pocket to prepare before freezing as the world around him turned completely gray…

The Hollow monsters gazing at him seemed completely frozen, and Agito could see that even the dust in the air was motionless, as if time itself had stopped.

"Za Warudo." He amusedly extended a finger gun at the monsters before turning around as he sensed light behind him, an unnatural occurrence in this frozen realm.

In front of him were glowing words in the air, vibrating slightly as if to show their ability to act in this world of stasis.

[? has Granted 'Agito Spectralon' "Three Freebies"]

['Motorcycle,' 'Natural Inventor,' and 'Ocarina of Time' have been Acquired!]

[Boons shall remain should 'Agito Spectralon' "SURVIVE!" the "Tutorial level lol"... "Good luck, and gimme a worthy act!"]

Motorcycle [200 CP (Cost Waived by ?) - Honkai Impact III]

[You're probably thinking this motorcycle sounds rather expensive, and you'd be right! It's no Usagi Kinetic, but it certainly goes very fast. Not just that, but if you can infuse it with energy, it can even drive on water or up vertical surfaces. It also is not only self-repairing, but if you lose it, it will find its way back to you in less than a day, and if you somehow manage to irreparably destroy it, you'll get a new one in the next week or so. You'll also find it to be surprisingly durable, if you have the skills for Bike-Fu.]

Natural Inventor [400 CP (Cost Waived by ?) - Final Fantasy VI]

[The World of Balance has gone through a technological renaissance since the times of the ancient war. It had to so that it could replace the gap that magic left behind. So, naturally, those with the smarts and creativity to cram two gears together could easily make a name for themselves. You've got a marvelous mind when it comes to advancing the plodding pace of technological advancements. You see possibilities in ideas that others would miss, even when it comes to completely foreign substances or machines. Now if only you had the skills to make your imagination into reality.]

The Ocarina of Time [600 CP (Cost Waived by ?) - Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time]

[A unique instrument, the Ocarina of Time is one of the vital keys to opening the Door of Time and accessing the Sacred Realm. For this reason alone it is quite a treasure of the Royal Family - but even beyond that, you'll find that magical music played upon this Ocarina is enhanced greatly, to the point of being able to turn day to night with a song usually meant to summon the light of the Sun for a brief moment.]

"Oho!?~" Agito's eyes shined as a futuristic motorcycle appeared before him, soon followed by a beautiful Ocarina in his hand as thoughts of improving the motorcycle immediately flooded his mind.

An avid 'tinkerer' like Agito would not refuse such beautiful boons, even if they were not exactly the most useful in guaranteeing his safety at the moment.

Agito's round, bushy tail wagged excitedly as he hopped on the motorcycle, a small pout reaching his lips. It had no name despite being such a beautiful motorcycle.

"You're now… Rocket!" Agito declared to the motorcycle before his round ears twitched again as the world regained its admittedly little color, and the low rumbles and growls of the masked monstrosities resumed once again as Agito found himself faced against them with only a sweet ride and a cool instrument to fend against them with.

[Hint! Running Away is the Recommended Course of Action until Sunrise!]

The light appeared before him to alert him of that information, making Agito nod in agreement.

That was probably true…

["No balls."]

*VRRrrrr… VRRRRrrrrVRRRRRRRRRRRR!*

"... Nevermind." Rocket's engine roared to life as Agito smiled calmly, his eyes shining with violence as the monsters reacted to the roaring of the motorcycle's appearance.

*GRAAAWR!*

The wolf-looking one roared as it began running at Agito and Rocket with its maw opened, but Agito did not waste any time.

*VROOOOOOOOM!*

The bike accelerated at a ridiculous speed as Agito sped forward at a velocity beyond anything he'd ever felt, meeting the monster halfway as it raised its claw to intercept his bike, only to find its face being used as Rocket's new Taxiway as Agito launched through the air and over the furious monsters running below him.

"Hasta Luego!~" Agito exclaimed despite the instrument in his mouth as he sailed through the air, furiously blowing into the extremely precious ocarina as if it was a cheap harmonica as erratic yet disturbingly harmonious music echoed across the otherwise silent city.

Agito only noted how empty the town seemed to be as he spotted a flying version of the masked monstrosity racing towards him, making him hum in 'I'm fucked' as the hum caused the Ocarina to produce some actually pleasant melodies.

Just before the flying monster could reach him, Agito twisted his body to the right as the motorcycle flipped, and the monster's talons found nothing. As it passed above Rocket's wheels, Agito used a monster as a road again, flipping Rocket back so that his head would not hit the floor first.

The poor, flying monster dove into the ground after Rocket's furiously accelerating wheels dug into its body, putting it out of commission as Agito landed atop the closest roof nearby.

The monsters incapable of flight did not remain idle as Agito escaped, quickly running to the building he had flown to and climbing up using their sharp claws as they easily began scaling up the walls.

Agito did not allow them to catch up so easily, revving Rocket's engine again before turning around and using a ramp-like platform atop the roof he was on to launch toward another building's roof.

Agito laughed loudly as he flew through the air and over different monsters, avoiding their increasing ranks and ferocity with expert movements and steering.

The chase continued for several minutes as Agito's maniacal laughs echoed through the ghost town while the monstrosities chased after him desperately, more and more joining their ranks despite Agito losing a few with his speed and maneuverability. It was as if every corner in this place was filled with these monsters, just waiting for poor, innocent Agito!

As Agito sped into a clearing free of the monsters, he used a fallen tree, likely knocked over by one of these monsters, to soar atop another roof before drifting to a stop as he turned to the large army of masked monstrosities chasing him and began accelerating and braking simultaneously.

His newly improved technological mind raced as he debated whether his plan would work or not, but everything seemed to align as Agito grinned and leaned down to kiss Rocket's Speedometer while pressing a few buttons to change the bike's settings… into something more vulnerable.

"See you in a week, my dear friend.~" Agito bid farewell and hopped back as the Motorcycle launched forward into the massive gathering of monsters.

As Rocket sailed into the hoard of monsters, Agito turned around and pulled his sunglasses from his leather jacket, placing them on his face with a smirk. "Boom.~"

*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!*

An ear-piercing explosion far beyond what Agito anticipated shook the ground around the clearing, but Agito had already begun running despite his lack of balance, expecting any remaining monsters to run to the explosion if they hadn't been caught in it already.

He silently laughed as he moved down the building and ran far from where the explosion happened, avoiding the few monsters he saw rushing past him as they didn't seem to notice him in their frenzy to run to the loud blast.

He eventually reached another alleyway just like the one he had found himself in… but this one was infinitely more precious for a very simple reason.

Agito froze as his eyes spotted the treasure casually standing in the dreary alleyway, his eyes shining as he almost cried at the sight of it.

"My precious!" He exclaimed in a subdued yet enthusiastic tone of excitement as he launched into it, the lid of the large trashcan he entered soon closing above him as Agito wiggled happily in his new home.

The Raccoon ears atop his head twitched happily as he surrounded himself with his most prized treasure, his tail attempting to do so without success due to the limited space around him.

Agito's eyes slowly fluttered shut as he was surrounded by the cold yet emotionally warm feeling of trash around him, fatigue invading his body after the adrenaline-filled chase he experienced.

Amidst trash… he should be safe, right?~ It wouldn't hurt to rest after all that adrenaline finally…

Surely his treasure would… protect him… Zzz…

[ Summer Rose POV ]

Summer sighed as she walked through the devastation she had heard earlier during the night, finding the remains of an undoubtedly cutting-edge motorcycle alongside traces of many destroyed Grimm.

Her eyes remained sorrowful as she gazed at the destroyed remains of everything around her, having already constructed a conclusion about what had happened.

A survivor of this town's evacuation returned with the vehicle to avenge their fallen family or friends, going out in a blaze of glory as they took down many of the Grimm Horde occupying the town.

It was a fruitless endeavor, as the Grimm would soon be replaced by more, but one that Summer couldn't help but sympathize with even if it saddened her immensely…

She knew from the information on her Scroll that this town had evacuated over a year ago. It was why she had camped outside rather than inside the Grimm-infested place…

Despite that, she couldn't help but feel a little hope in her heart as she activated the drone she brought with her, triggering its rescue protocols as it began searching for any possible survivors or lifeforms…

Summer sighed with a sad smile as she watched the drone scan the surroundings, not expecting much from the Advanced All-Purpose Drone as it hovered and spun in the air quietly before eventually beeping.

"Sign of life has been located. 1.2 Kilometers North-" Summer did not wait to hear anymore as she began sprinting, the drone quickly following as Summer jumped atop the roof of the nearest building before sending the drone forward in the direction of the 'life' it had spotted.

As she raced through the city and past a few straggling Grimm that scurried away at her presence, her heart sank as the drone settled near a secluded alleyway…

An alleyway infested with several resting Grimm, all lounging around the dirty and shady alley with no sign of anyone or anything except a few trashcans.

Her silver eyes narrowed in slight rage as she grabbed her rifle, transforming it into her large axe as she dropped down, alerting the Grimm of her presence.

A few growled threateningly, but Summer gave them no time as she spotted two in the back attempting to flee. She dashed forward, slicing through the two largest ones with a single swing before throwing the axe at the two that attempted to flee, cutting through them like butter. The remaining Grimm was stomped beneath her foot as she delivered an axe kick perfectly, her heel impaling its head and killing it.

The five Grimm resting there a mere few moments ago were now nowhere to be seen, with only Summer still there, glaring at the evaporated remains of the Grimm.

She sighed and picked up her axe, placing it back where she unsheathed it as she prepared to search for the gruesome scene of the 'survivor' she had come here for. However, her eyes then blinked in confusion as her drone began hovering around one of the large trash cans the Grimm had been lounging around.

She slowly began approaching it warily, watching as her drone spun around it curiously before settling again as Summer reached.

She slowly extended her hand to the trash can's lid…

*Tremble. Tremble.*

Summer jumped back as the trash can began shaking once she placed her hand on the lid, narrowing her eyes and reaching for her axe again as the lid slowly began rising…

Summer's eyes widened in surprise and slight delight as she saw a young boy's head peeking out at her from the trash can, a pair of cute Raccoon ears twitching atop his head as he stared at her silently from inside the safety of his trash can.

She was shocked by the molten-gold eyes staring into her silver ones, momentarily contemplating if there was a golden version of the Silver-Eyed warriors due to how beautiful his eyes were before dismissing the thought as her gaze moved to the eerily glowing white hair atop his head, making it appear quite mystical. Her eyes then returned to the Raccoon ears, her lips naturally inclining up at their cuteness as she watched them twitch warily at her.

She brought a hand over her lips to hide her smile, watching in amusement as the boy slowly turned to look at the cleared alleyway before turning to Summer with narrowed eyes.

Summer's thoughts raced as she stared at the mysterious boy, a sudden doubt taking over her mind as she contemplated how unique he looked and how… unnatural it was for him to be here.

He couldn't be any older than Yang, yet he was somehow inside an evacuated city that shouldn't have allowed anyone to remain here over a year ago…

Summer's eyes widened as she saw the boy suddenly reach for something inside the trash can, making her reach for her weapon as her suspicions turned out to be true-

*VVVVVRR… Vvrrr.*

Instead of pulling out a weapon as she had anticipated, the boy pulled out an instrument of sorts and began furiously blowing into it while glaring at her threateningly. Summer let out a breath she didn't know she was holding, happy not to have to kill another child today.

Summer wryly smiled as she saw him smirking smugly once she reacted so strongly to his 'threat,' letting go of her weapon now that she knew she had nothing to fear from the harmless boy.

"You shouldn't scare someone like that, you know? You could get yourself hurt!" Summer couldn't help but chide him just as she did with Ruby and Yang all the time, a common habit she developed when speaking to children ever since she became a mother.

"Nah, I'd win." The boy spoke from inside the trash can, still appearing very smug inside his 'throne'. He raised his hand towards her with a weird gesture, his middle finger crossed over the middle of his index finger while his pinky and ring finger curled into his hand.

"You'd win a smack on your head, that's what." Summer retorted as she moved towards him, giggling at his dismayed protest as she took off his lid and exposed him to the cruel light of the world outside the safety of his 'trash'.

"You're the first person I'm smacking when I get stronger." He vowed at her with narrowed eyes that promised vengeance as Summer patted his head, gasping slightly at how soft his raccoon ears were.

"Planning to get stronger, hm? Do you wish to become a Huntsman?" Summer asked, partly to get more information on the mystery around the boy but mostly out of curiosity and desire to learn more about the cutie in front of her.

"Wot?" She could practically see the question mark on his head as he tilted his head, leaving her feeling complex as she didn't know if she should squeal at the cute action or raise an eyebrow at the clear confusion on the boy's face when she mentioned Huntsmen.

"... Huntsmen. Protectors of Humanity against the tides of Grimm?" Summer helpfully provided while smirking teasingly at the boy. His ears stood ramrod straight as if realizing something, making Summer mentally sigh in relief.

"So they're called Grimm…" He muttered thoughtfully, making Summer's smile crack as she realized that, no, he hadn't just momentarily forgotten what Huntsmen were.

"... Where are you from, kiddo?" Summer questioned with a sigh, confused about how someone wouldn't know of Grimm or Huntsmen no matter where in Remnant they're from.

He didn't sound like he spoke a different language… His accent seemed fine.

"Nunya." He responded curtly as if that explained everything.

"Nunya?" Summer repeated in confusion.

"Nunya business."

*VVVVRR, VVV! VVVVRRR, VVVEEE!*

The boy immediately began furiously blowing into the beautiful instrument in his hands while staring directly into her eyes provocatively.

Summer tried to control her laughter, but the boy's silly provocation and humor pushed her over the edge as she giggled uncontrollably.

"You're quite the handful, aren't you?" Summer asked rhetorically while giggling as the boy's golden eyes lit up with smugness and a look of superiority. "What are you doing in such a place on your own, silly? And no, you can't say 'Nunya'."

Summer interrupted him as he opened his mouth to likely do just that, making the Raccoon boy pause and frown in dissatisfaction…

"... Fine. I'm waiting for Rocket to come back." He scrunched his nose at her as he admitted, sounding displeased at having to actually speak.

"Rocket?" Summer asked before her heart stopped momentarily as she thought she had fallen into one of his ploys again.

"My best and only friend in this world." The boy declared proudly, making Summer smile weakly as she immediately regretted doubting him in her mind.

She didn't know if she should be glad or sad at his words. She was leaning heavily towards the latter.

"... And where is Rocket?" Summer asked carefully, a grim picture forming in her head already.

"Boom." The boy put his hands together before extending them out like an explosion as Summer's face twisted in slight horror and resignation. "Rocket will be back in a week to pick me up."

Did this 'Rocket' bring this boy here in their suicidal quest before leaving him to fend for himself after exploding the Grimm? If so, the pity she had for them dried up, and died a painful death.

"... I'm not sure if that's happening, kiddo. I think your friend may be… on a long journey away." Summer carefully spoke with a gentle tone as the raccoon boy looked at her with a deadpan.

"Rocket isn't dead. And stop speaking to me like I'm a child. I'm not small." He pointed out with a slightly irritated tone as Summer blinked, remembering that the boy was definitely around Yang's age and definitely not a young kid.

… It was probably because he was still sitting in the trash can while looking up at her, making him appear much shorter than he actually is. It also didn't help… that he was absolutely adorable with the trash can's lid atop his head like a hat while he sat in the trashcan with twitching raccoon ears.

Furthermore, he spoke so curtly and silently, like a polite little gentleman… If you ignored his provocations, of course.

"Sorry, sorry. I don't really know how old you are or even what your name is, so you can't blame me!" Summer snapped out of her thoughts and gave an excuse while pouting, secretly trying to get some of his information.

"That's okay." He nodded, forgiving her without any further fuss.

"So…" Summer drawled, staring expectantly at the boy. She interrupted him as he opened his mouth to speak. "Your name is not Nunya. Don't even try!"

"Hmph." He closed his mouth, frowning slightly as his head lowered in the trash can. "... Agito. Agito Spectralon."

"... What color is that?" Summer asked in confusion as she heard his name, making him tilt his head at her in confusion.

"... I don't see why it would be a color, but Spectralon is a material that allows for the whitest shade of white. To the point where it glows." He explained, speaking for longer than she had ever heard him speak. Her eyes slowly moved over to his fluffy, white hair and ears, nodding in understanding as she saw the slight glow emanating from it.

Makes sense.

Summer took a deep breath, making a quick decision without caring for the consequences, as usual.

She was adopting this kid until she got him to safety! Then, inspired by her heroic and selfless nature, he would grow up to become a powerful Huntsman like herself!

"Alright, Agito… How about you stick with me until we reach the next safe zone?" She suddenly suggested with a proud smile as Agito tilted his head at her. "I only need to stick around this area for another week or so, but we'll be back to civilization in no time!"

"Jiiiii…" Instead of the excited answer she was expecting, the boy stared at her suspiciously from inside his trash can, releasing a weird but cute sound that oddly fit the stare he was giving her.

"W-What is it? I'm not creepy, am I?" Summer's self-confidence suddenly felt flimsy as the boy stared at her warily, making her doubt the maternal energy she exuded that she was so proud of. She didn't look like a child molester or something, did she?

"... You're a weirdo." Agito bluntly pointed out as Summer felt her confidence shatter, her face growing pale as tears began gathering in her eyes. "... But you're not bad. Okay, I'll stick with you for a week before I leave with Rocket."

"Alright! We're gonna have a lot of fun, trust me!" Summer cheered happily while ignoring the previous insult completely, feeling pride in her chest as the cute raccoon boy said that she wasn't 'bad'. There wasn't a hint of paleness or tears on her face, as if her previous reaction was merely an illusion.

She also ignored his comment about leaving with Rocket, knowing full well that his 'friend' would not be returning…

I mean, it's not like she was gonna wake up one day and find that Agito had left before they could head back, right? His 'friend' can't just return from death in a week!

That's ridiculous!

"... Um." Agito simply nodded but didn't make an effort to leave his trashcan as he stared at her silently…

"I'm not carrying you and the trash everywhere." Summer immediately declared, making Agito blink at her in confusion before frowning.

*CLANK. CLANK. CLANK.*

Summer stared speechlessly as he began hopping around while still inside the metal trash can, showing no strain whatsoever as he moved closer to her and began inspecting her… or rather, the weapon on her back.

"... You could lower the speed it takes to transform your weapon if you removed some unnecessary parts." He pointed out while staring at her weapon, and she blinked in surprise.

"Oh? Do you like to craft and modify weapons, Agito?~" Summer asked with starry eyes as she realized her 'new child' may have something in common with her biological child that would allow them to be friends despite their vastly different personalities.

"Shinies are made to be collected and turned into bigger shinies." He elaborated without hesitation while puffing his chest out proudly, raising the beautiful instrument in his hands to show it off.

"... You really match your faunus heritage, huh?" Summer murmured wryly as Agito's raccoon ears twitched in confusion.

"What's a Faunus?" Summer's eyes widened in horror.

"... N-Nevermind that. You meant the design pieces on my weapon, right?" Summer ignored that momentarily and brought up his earlier advice as Agito nodded silently. "I'm aware, but… those pieces were added to my weapon by my children, so I can't take them off even if they'd speed up my weapon's transformation."

Summer smiled wistfully while moving her hand over her weapon and gazing at the cutely designed details on her weapon. She then blinked as she turned to Agito and saw him staring at her in horror.

"... You have kids?" Summer felt an invisible arrow pierce through her chest. "Who married you?" Another arrow shot through her chest. "... Did children make you better or worse? I don't know which is scarier…" Death.

"I'm not that bad!" Summer couldn't handle it anymore and protested with teary eyes as she pinched Agito's cheeks and pulled them apart despite her displeasure. "You're so mean! Is this how you repay the one who saved you from those Grimm!?"

"Mmph… I would've been fine." Agito protested with a huff despite getting his cheeks pulled as he spoke, glaring blankly at Summer as he tried and failed to get her hands off his cheeks.

"Oh yeah? What were you going to do? Blow your little flute at them to intimidate them?" Summer challenged with a smirk as she saw Agito reach down to the aforementioned instrument and begin to blow at it furiously while she pulled at his cheeks.

*VRRRRRRVVVVVEEEEEVVVV!*

Summer began laughing loudly as Agito blew into the little blue instrument, unable to stop herself as she continued pinching his cheeks.

"... That's it," Agito muttered ominously as Summer narrowed her eyes before she dove down just in time to dodge a projectile coin thrown through a slingshot-looking contraption that Agito pulled from below inside the trash.

As Summer looked back to see where the coin landed, her eyes widened slightly as she saw a coin-sized crater in the wall. She chuckled dryly as she saw Agito staring smugly once she turned back to him, his hands on his slightly reddened cheeks as he nursed them.

"... That would've bounced off of a Grimm harmlessly." Summer pointed out as Agito's eyes widened slightly, and the all-too-familiar frown marred his face again. "No, a second one wouldn't have done anything."

Summer couldn't help but feel amused at how easily she had learned to read his facial expressions. She would've found it weird with anyone else, but it was only amusing with Agito.

"... I'm going to bomb your home country." Summer began sweating.

[ POV Switch ]

Hell's Hairpin [100 CP - Darkest Dungeon]

[A hairpin depicting a goat- or perhaps a devil. When worn in the dark it boost accuracy and grants a substantial increase to the odds of doing a critical attack.]

[Purchase / Skip]

Agito mentally hummed as he walked behind Summer, his treasure's lid in his hand like a shield.

'Skip! I'm not a Rogue build in this Skyrim run.' He decided as he saw what was being offered, not really keen on such a… mediocre item. Especially with how little it offered him.

Tempest – The Waifu Maker [200 CP - Highschool DxD]

[Here. I know you want it, no need to be shy. Heh. Exactly, this is a gender-swapping raygun, and it does exactly what you think it does. Comes with a varied array of options and settings, from temporal swap, to permanent, to changing the perspective of the victim. It can even alter their own and other's memories to make the change retroactive. Incredibly powerful, but it can't obviously affect beings without a gender.]

[Purchase / Skip]

'Uwah?' Agito mentally gasped at the offered item this time, pushing down the urge to immediately Skip it as well. While it was made for a perverted and completely disgusting purpose, Agito… was curious about how it worked!

'Purchase!' Agito decided decisively.

['Tempest – The Waifu Maker' has been Acquired!]

It Is Written [400 CP - The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild]

[The use of mystical runes for enchanted effects is well known by those with a passing interest in the magical arts, but...the Sheikah were unique. They were able to create a "language" from runes, that had conditional statements and effects. In short - the Sheikah could program with runes, thus allowing for "programs" to become "spells." You have knowledge of this art as well - You are able to use Runes to code "programs" such as those used by the Sheikah Slate to perform its functions. This combined with "Sparking Innovation" would give you the groundwork to create your own variant of the Sheikah Slate with your own round of Runes...though magic doesn't make something simple - you'll need to create the code for these Slates yourself.]

[Purchase / Skip]

'O.o'

'Purchase!' Agito commanded, immediately receiving tons of new knowledge and experience in his mind that had his hands shaking to begin working.

['It Is Written' has been Acquired!]

[400 CP Deducted… 0 CP Remaining]

"Agito? Is everything okay?" Summer asked as she saw the dumbfounded look he had on his face, making Agito nod quietly.

Born to 'WOOOOOO!', forced to '...'.

"... I want to blow something up," Agito admitted as Summer missed a step, stumbling on her feet and turning to him with a wry yet calm smile.

"Yes, yes, Agito. We'll find you something to blow up, okay?" Summer reassured motherly while patting Agito's head, acting as if she was some 'indulgent' mother. "Jeez… I almost think it was you who caused that explosion yesterday."

'I did.' Agito remained silent.

This lady looked like one of those sacrificial lambs that get 'unfortunately' killed in action due to the actions of the 'Greater Good' old man. She's even got kids, so they'd definitely bounce back as strong side characters with epic backstories.

Anyway, the point was, Agito did not trust her with anything!

… Except patting his ears.

Not because she was bad, but because she was related to a bad guy!

Probably.

"... Summer," Agito called out quietly, making Summer turn to him with a tilted head. "Do you know… old man, mysterious looking, lots of authority?"

"Oh, you mean Headmaster Ozpin?" Summer asked excitedly, probably thinking that Agito remembered someone or something since she believed he had memory loss for some reason.

That was nonsense, though. Agito didn't have memory loss. He had memory WIN.

"... Bad guy." Agito gave Summer the best warning he could as a favor for 'helping' him, ignoring how she stumbled and looked at him in shock after he called this 'Ozpin' guy a bad guy. "Be careful."

"Eh? Why would you say that about the Headmaster of Beacon, Agito? He's one of the most calm and patient people I've met!" Summer protested without sounding upset, appearing more confused and surprised than angry.

Good. Not a blind follower.

Not completely hopeless, at least.

"Calm, patient… Cold, calculated." Agito repeated her words slowly before offering a different alternative as Summer blinked.

"Pffftahaha! Is that how he truly seems to you?" Summer asked amusedly while reaching up to pat Agito's head gently. He narrowed his eyes at her warningly but didn't stop her.

"Never met or heard of him," Agito admitted without hesitation as Summer froze with her hand on his head.

"... Are you even from Vale?" Summer wryly asked as Agito tilted his head.

"What's Vale?" Summer sighed.

"Alright… Let me educate you as a good, competent adult should!" Summer decided, appearing way too smug at getting the chance to 'help' for a 'good, competent adult'.

"Summer… Give me cool superpower, please?" Agito pleaded with puppy dog– baby raccoon eyes as Summer sighed again, bonking him on the head with a rolled-up newspaper.

"I already told you, Agito. Unlocking someone's Aura is an intimate process that shouldn't be done between people who have only known each other for a day." Summer explained again exasperatedly before groaning in frustration as her attempt at reaching for his tail failed.

She had only noticed its existence after she had spoken to him about Aura and how it could be unlocked by others, making Agito immediately jump at the reveal. It would've been weird, but Agito hadn't shown her his back since they met and she only saw it once it began wagging from excitement.

Apparently, he wasn't supposed to have a tail. Or ears. Or both? Maybe she was a Raccoonist? She seemed to like his features, though.

"Please…" Agito continued to stare at her with pleading eyes while his tail wagged behind him, making Summer turn away to avoid the gaze from experience with her daughter.

"Agito! Would you let someone you don't trust touch your soul? That's not a very responsible thing to do." Summer chided as authoritatively as she could, channeling her motherly energy into her words to try and convince Agito as an aura of responsibility and sternness exuded from her mature form.

"I trust you, Summer…" Her mature energy immediately disappeared in the blink of an eye as she glomped Agito, pulling his head into her chest and patting his ears. She laughed proudly and without a hint of her earlier grace, reveling in her smugness at being 'trusted' by the overly suspicious Agito.

"Oh, of course! After all, why wouldn't you trust someone as responsible and mature as myself!?" Summer gloated proudly, ignoring the blank gaze Agito sent her from her soft chest as she giggled at the feeling of his soft ears in her hands.

"Pervert." Her smile froze.

"H-Hey, I'm not a pervert, you know? That's quite a rude accusation!" Summer weakly protested despite still patting Agito's head as he continued staring at her with a blank glare. "You trust me, don't you?"

"... Yes." Agito reluctantly agreed, caring more about getting the epic energy than he did about breaking Summer's confidence and reliability in her mind.

"Good! Because I am a very competent adult, I'll have you know. They call me… The Silver-Eyed Grimm Slayer of Doom!" Summer nodded in relief and quickly began gloating again, giving a fake 'cool' name to impress Agito.

"... I think Silver-Eyed Grimm Slayer of Roses would be better," Agito murmured tiredly, getting a gasp from Summer as she began rubbing her cheek against his ears.

"Incredible name, Agito! From now on, that's the title everyone has to refer to me by!" Summer excitedly declared with finality as Agito almost regretted giving that suggestion.

But no. Agito does not regret. Agito does not forget.

Agito will have vengeance.

"... Please tell me your children aren't like you." Agito pleaded while slipping out of her grasp as Summer gasped sadly and began reaching for empty air with a sorrowful expression.

"That's rude! But no… Well, not too much?" She paused and tilted her head thoughtfully as if thinking of her children. "My youngest, Ruby, is the spitting image of me in terms of appearance! But… well… she's very socially awkward, I suppose."

"So she's the inverse of you?" Agito asked in slight amusement as Summer tilted her head in confusion. "She's socially awkward. You're awkwardly social."

"Hey, I'm not awkward!" Summer immediately protested with a pout before pausing and humming thoughtfully. "Wait, that does sound about right…"

"... Dummy." Agito chided as Summer laughed loudly.

"As for my other child… She's not my biological daughter, but she's strong, mature, and very reliable, just like me!" Summer proudly declared as Agito blinked at her confession of her other child not being her biological one. Yet she still seemed so proud…

Summer didn't seem like a bad guy.

"So… Loud, nosey, and overbearing. Delightful." Agito blankly spoke as Summer pouted, flicking him on the head with her finger.

"Fine. I guess I'm not unlocking your aura."

Summer proudly smirked as she looked down to find Agito in her arms, staring up at her with baby raccoon eyes. She calmly moved her hand over his hair and ears in satisfaction, reveling in her 'power' and 'authority.'

It truly was too easy.

"Mommy… Please unlock my aura?" Agito pleaded softly, speaking in a low, vulnerable tone as if he were a child begging for something from his mother in the candy store.

There wasn't a hint of shame or reluctance on his face as his golden eyes moistened with unshed tears, his lower lip quivering slightly as his adorable actions had Summer squealing in joy and hugging him in a death grip.

"Oh, my dear boy… If you continue being a good boy, I'll unlock your aura for you, okay?" Summer smugly spoke while trying to sound motherly as she caressed Agito's head, her arms tightly wrapped around his head while he crouched down to rest it against her chest.

"... Can't you do it now, please?" Agito pleaded pitifully while nuzzling his face into her chest cutely, his coquettish actions almost swaying Summer had she not turned away quickly and steeled herself.

"No. Patience is important for every competent Huntsman or Huntress, Agito." Summer instructed sternly while nodding righteously as she imparted her 'wisdom' upon him.

"But you were just complaining about how I was taking too much time gathering my stuff from my trashcan-" Agito pointed out blankly as his previous coquettish expression faded before it immediately returned in full force once Summer cleared her throat and narrowed her eyes. "Yes, mommy… I'll be patient."

"That's a good boy… Mom will unlock your aura as long as you continue to behave." Summer happily praised while patting his head before she finally let go to continue setting up camp.

Agito helped where possible, but Summer insisted he would only hurt himself since he didn't have Aura. She told Agito to sit down for now and let her handle everything like the 'responsible adult' she was... However, he decided to begin dabbling with his newest ability to not waste time doing nothing.

The inventor talent he acquired earlier synchronized quite well with his new rune coding ability, helping him imagine the many possibilities for what he could do once Agito created the code language he'd use.

Agito usually only dabbled in collecting shinies, but his shinies were not limited to offline items… There were many a-shiny to gather online, which allowed him to learn some coding over his time on the internet.

It was only foundational, but it was more than enough for Agito as he combined a few languages he knew from his world to make an original rune language that he could freely use without worrying that some other rune crafter would steal.

Surely, there were other enchanters or runemasters out there, right?

Agito wasn't taking any chances. His runes were gonna be his, and his alone!

"What're you making, Agi?" Summer paused and called out with a cute nickname as she saw Agito's intense focus on the random trinkets and materials in his hand that he collected while they were walking.

"... A bomb," Agito mumbled, clearly anxious to finish what he was making in his hands…

Summer began sweating again.

And that's a wrap. New fic down... now to go back to writing my other ones as I've already written four chapters of this in the last two weeks. Ehe.~

For those who know me from previous fics and are wondering wtf I'm doing, I'll go ahead and direct you over to my server, link below. There was a pretty big announcement I sent a little over a week ago about my current fics... and which ones I'm going to be discontinuing.
