A/N: It's taken over 30 chapters, but it's finally almost time for the All-Valley. There's just the relatively small matter of the Canyon Party to get through. I didn't really like the Canyon Party in the original Cobra Kai (specifically Miguel and Sam's breakup), so I'm going to be changing a few things.

Disclaimer: I don't own the Karate Kid movies, Cobra Kai or anything else that I might reference.

Canyon Party

Miguel didn't have too much trouble with the test.

He bubbles it into the scantron when he's finished and joins the people walking outside.

Demetri, Claire and Leonard were in the same room as him when they did the test because the students were put into different rooms depending on the first letter of their surnames.

"How do you think that went? I know it probably doesn't matter, but I passed. With flying colours. And I'm sure you passed, too." Demetri says.

Miguel lets out a breath. "I'm pretty sure I passed, even if it was just a practice test. I've been busy preparing for the tournament. In addition to doing normal teenager stuff."

"I know it's a practice test. But it doesn't hurt to be prepared. The actual test could decide the rest…" Demetri starts.

Miguel sees Sam and walks over to her.

Leonard and Demetri both walk away while Claire sees Jason walking out of the room he was in.

Miguel and Sam head over to Sam's locker.

He leans against a locker. "So, how did it go?"

"I think it went fine. But the person I sat next to had a bit of a BO problem. And that was a little bit distracting. I'm sure you did fine, though." Sam answers.

Miguel nods. "Yeah. Then again, I don't think it matters because it was a practice test."

"And it's not an indication of how well or badly you'll do on the actual test." Sam adds.

Miguel changes the subject. "So, do you have any plans for later?"

"No." Sam replies.

Miguel smiles. "Great. Maybe we could hang out or something. Unless something else comes up. And, I'm not sure if I have training today or not."

"Oh. What happened?" Sam asks.

Miguel sighs. "Well, Sensei's car was completely destroyed. And I think that someone set it on fire, because the concrete around it was completely blackened. Oh, and it was still smouldering."

"That's pretty unfortunate, I wonder who could have done it. At least the fire was contained. Sort of." Sam says.

Miguel scratches his head. "It could have been a whole lot worse. But it wasn't."

"That's good. So, I'm guessing that you'll text me later? Or call? Just in case something happens." Sam answers.

Miguel nods. "Yeah."

They say goodbye and kiss before they go their separate ways.

Miguel walks outside.

He sees Jason, Claire, Aisha, Leonard, Hawk and Demetri standing around outside.

"There he is!" Jason exclaims.

Miguel and Jason high five each other.

They walk back to where the rest of the group is standing.

Miguel looks around. "So, what do you guys want to do now? Sensei cancelled training for today, or at least he's going to."

"Really?" Jason asks.

Miguel nods. "Yeah. Somebody destroyed his car and set fire to it last night. It was still smouldering when I left the apartment."

"Holy shit." Jason says.

Miguel agrees. "Exactly. It's a good thing the fire was contained to just his car."

"Maybe we should go to the park or something. I think some of the others might be there." Claire suggests.

Everybody agrees with the suggestion.

They know which park Claire is referring to, and they all go their separate ways.

It shouldn't take too long for them to get to the park.

Especially if there's not too much traffic.

….

The park was fairly busy, but they still managed to meet up with Bert and some other Cobra Kai students.

"So, that Robby guy is competing in the tournament?" Hawk asks.

Miguel takes a bite of his sandwich and nods. "Yeah. He's the only student in his dojo. Which means that we might not be facing him in the All-Valley. Unless a miracle happens, or something."

"Stranger things have happened." Leonard says.

Miguel takes another bite of his sandwich. "Maybe. But I'm not sure how well one person is going to do in a tournament. Even if Mr LaRusso won it twice."

"So, everything went well?" Demetri asks.

Miguel finishes his sandwich before answering. "Yeah. I met Sam's grandma for the first time. And the dinner went pretty well, too. Even if one person was absent from it."

"Which person was that?" Aisha asks.

Miguel is quick to answer. "Louie. He's like a cousin or second cousin or something."

"Oh. Well, I'm sure you'll have other chances to meet him." Claire remarks.

Miguel thinks about it. "Maybe."

"That little bitch!" Aisha yells.

Jason looks over at her. "Everything okay over there?"

"You know that video I posted of me breaking boards?" Aisha asks.

Claire looks over at her. "I was there when you broke the boards. So, yes."

"Look at what Yasmine commented!" Aisha shows them her phone.

She plays the video where Miguel and Jason are holding wooden boards and Aisha breaks both boards.

The video plays before they can see the comments.

Y: Impressive. I can't believe the belt made it around your waist.

Claire frowns. "Wow. Moon's actually really nice when you get to know her, but Yasmine's always been kind of a bitch. Or a lot of one."

"I think I know how to get back at her." Aisha has a smile on her face.

Hawk looks at her. "We're going to kidnap her and have my boy Rico tattoo "Bitch" on her face?"

"What? No? That's a stupid idea. And it's illegal." Leonard points out.

Demetri rolls his eyes. "Calm down, Hawk."

"I hear what you're saying, and I don't like it." Hawk retorts.

Jason sighs. "I think we're getting a bit sidetracked. So, what's the plan?"

"Take a look at this!" Aisha shows them her phone.

There's a picture of Yasmine talking about a party at the canyon for her birthday. VIP Only.

Miguel looks at the video before looking back at Aisha. "So, Yasmine's throwing a birthday party at the canyon? Right?"

"Not if we strike first." Aisha replies.

Everybody looks at each other and smiles. "Party time!"

They disperse and walk to their cars.

Claire, Aisha and Leonard take some of the Cobra Kai students in their cars. Jason agrees to take Miguel and Hawk in his car.

Miguel calls Sam and tells her about the party while Miguel and Hawk are standing by Jason's Dodge Viper.

"Take a look at this!" Hawk exclaims.

Jason looks over. "What is it?"

"My fake ID." Hawk takes a fake ID out of his wallet.

Jason looks at it. "Walter Hawkman? I thought you were going to go for something less obvious?"

"Like what? Is there something wrong with it?" Hawk asks.

Jason looks at the fake ID. "The ID is fine. Walter Hawkman just seems a bit obvious. That's all."

"Oh. Well, it scans and black lights. And I'm pretty sure that it swipes, too." Hawk says.

Jason watches as Hawk puts his fake ID back in his wallet. "I'm sure it'll be okay."

Miguel walks back over to them.

"Sam said that she'll meet us at the canyon. And Robby's going to be there as well." Miguel sounds happy.

Jason grins. "Great. I think we'd better go. We need to get snacks, alcohol and some other stuff for the party. Especially if there's going to be a crowd."

He unlocks the Dodge Viper.

Hawk opens the door and gets into the backseat behind the front passenger's seat and Miguel gets into the front passenger's seat.

Jason gets into the driver's seat.

He starts the car and drives off.

Claire, Aisha and Leonard had already gone. Along with the members of Cobra Kai who went in their cars.

They had gone to buy alcohol, snacks and some other stuff.

Jason, Miguel and Hawk were going to do the same.

….

It was roughly two or three hours since they arrived at the canyon, and the party had truly begun.

Other people had turned up at the canyon besides just Cobra Kai students, Sam, Demetri and Robby.

Jason and Claire have wandered off somewhere, Hawk is waiting for Moon to arrive, Leonard has temporarily commandeered one of the speakers, Demetri looks like he's enjoying himself even if he's not drinking alcohol, Robby is watching the party going on around him and Aisha is talking to some of the people who showed up at the canyon who weren't in Cobra Kai. The other Cobra Kai students had dispersed among the crowd.

"This party has really turned out great. Especially because it was kind of a last-minute thing." Sam walks over to where Miguel is standing.

Miguel grabs two beers from a nearby cooler and hands one of them to Sam.

He opens his beer and takes a drink. "Yeah. Things kind of just fell into place. And it's gone really well so far."

"It's almost as good as the party at Jason's house." Sam takes a drink of her beer.

Miguel takes another sip of his beer. "Damn. What can I do to change your mind?"

"Wouldn't you like to know?" Sam teases.

Miguel is about to say something when he notices a Jeep come to a stop on the top of the hill. Kyler, Brucks, Yasmine and Moon get out of the Jeep.

He scowls. "What are they doing here?"

"I think Moon was going to meet up with Hawk. I don't know what Kyler and Brucks are doing. Maybe they were going to crash the party?" Sam looks up.

Miguel keeps looking up. "Hopefully they'll leave if they know what's good for them."

There seems to be a small argument between Kyler and Yasmine which results in Kyler and Brucks retreating back into Kyler's Jeep and driving off.

They see Moon walking down to where the party is, while Yasmine just stands still at the top of the hill before walking down by herself.

"I guess things worked themselves out." Sam said.

Miguel smiles slightly. "Yeah."

"Are you going to go and find Jason and Claire?" Sam asks before finishing her beer.

Miguel finishes his beer before answering. "I think I might. He'd be happy to know that Kyler and Brucks just left."

"Cool. You know where to find me." Sam gives Miguel a kiss on the cheek.

Miguel nods. "Of course."

He finishes his beer.

Miguel goes to look for Jason and Claire.

He finds them talking to Leonard, Aisha and some other Cobra Kai students.

"Hey, Miguel! What's up?" Claire looks over at him.

Jason smiles. "There he is!"

"Thanks. You guys will not believe who briefly showed up…" Miguel starts.

Leonard looks over at him. "Who?"

"Kyler, Brucks, Moon and Yasmine. Kyler and Brucks left, Moon is around here somewhere and Yasmine is an unwilling guest." Miguel replies.

Jason is about to say something else when Yasmine walks towards them.

Yasmine gets in Aisha's face. "You think that crashing my party is funny?"

"We got here first. You don't own the canyon. And you can't tell me what to do." Aisha squares up to Yasmine.

Yasmine shakes her head. "You can pretend to be cool all you want. But we know who you really are. You're a fugly bitch and your friends are all freaks."

She walks away from Aisha before Aisha says something.

"Hey! Yasmine!" Aisha shouts.

Yasmine turns around. "What?"

"No mercy, bitch!" Aisha yells.

Everybody watches as Aisha reaches down and grabs Yasmine's underwear before lifting her into the air.

They laugh as Yasmine storms off.

Jason laughs. "Holy shit. That was pretty cool. And it shut Yasmine up."

"That was amazing." Claire sounds impressed.

Leonard gives Aisha a high five. "That was awesome!"

"Thanks. I think it's time we continued the party. So, you guys don't need to keep standing around." Aisha answers.

They disperse to different parts of the party as the sun begins to set.

The party was going to last until the alcohol and food was gone.

….

The Dodge Challenger comes to a complete stop on the driveway of the LaRusso house.

Daniel practically throws open the door of the car and is grateful that he's going to be back on solid ground again after how recklessly Johnny had drove.

"There's no way in hell that you're sober! It's a good thing that there weren't any cops on the road or you'd have been pulled over for sure!" Daniel exclaims.

Johnny rolls his eyes. "Whatever! Save it for the mat!"

"I never said that I'd actually spar with you." Daniel points out.

They walk in the direction of the home dojo.

Johnny sighs. "Oh, come on! Just one time! Like at the end of Rocky III!"

"Yeah. Rocky and Apollo Creed fight for fun at the end. But we don't see who wins." Daniel replies.

Johnny laughs. "What's the matter? Are you afraid that you'd lose?"

"Alright. Alright. Alright. One time. And that's it." Daniel holds up his right index finger.

He opens the door of the home dojo and sees Sam, Miguel and Robby.

Robby walks over to Daniel. "Mr LaRusso, I really need to talk to you about something. Sam was going to leave and Miguel was waiting for a ride home. So, I drove back here."

"Oh, Johnny. I forgot to tell you. You're not the only one who's teaching people. And it so happens that I've got a student of my own." Daniel says.

Johnny's expression changes from a jovial one to one of rage. "The fuck?!"

Robby, Miguel and Sam watch as Johnny shoves Daniel.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Daniel shouts.

Johnny shakes his head. "What the hell is wrong with YOU?!"

He takes a step forward.

"Hey! Dad! Back off!" Robby gets in front of Daniel.

Miguel moves closer to Johnny.

Sam decides to get out of the way.

Daniel looks confused. "Dad? Wait. What?"

"If you want to fight him, then you'll have to fight me first!" Robby ignores Daniel's question.

Miguel decides that it would probably be a good idea to stand in front of Johnny. Just in case something happened.

Johnny shakes his head. "You've got to be fucking kidding me. Come on, Miguel. Let's go."

Miguel watches as Johnny walks out of the home dojo.

"Listen, Sam. I'm going to go. The party was great, but Sensei's kind of my ride home. So…." Miguel trails off.

Sam nods. "I should probably get out of here."

They both walk out of the pool house.

Miguel follows Johnny to his new car and Sam goes back into the house.

That just leaves Robby and Daniel in the home dojo.

"I'm so sorry, Mr LaRusso. I was going to tell you, but I was trying to work up the courage. And…." Robby is about to say something else but the words die before he has a chance to say them.

Daniel is almost shaking with rage. "Was all of this just a con?! Some mind game that you were trying to pull on me? With him?"

"It wasn't like that! I swear!" Robby pleads.

Daniel shakes his head. "You lied to me! For months! Were you ever going to tell me? Or were you just going to keep it a secret?"

"I'm sorry. If you'd just let me…." Robby starts.

Daniel points to the door. "Get out! And don't you ever come back to this house! Or the dealership! Not ever! Do you understand me?!"

"Fine." Robby says.

He walks to the door of the dojo and opens it.

Johnny and Miguel had already left. And Sam hadn't stuck around.

So, it was time for him to leave.
