Link ran into Romani ranch full speed. He saw the Gorman brothers on their horses circling the house with Cremia and Romani in it. The gorman brothers had pitch forks sitting on their backs and clubs on fire in their hands. Both of them were wearing the Garo mask. Cremia yelled out the window: Go away! We know it's the Gorman brothers! I don't know why you even bother wearing those stupid masks! Gorman brother 2 took his mask off. Gorman brother 1 Took his off as well and said: Yeah I guess she's got a point! Also the guards don't care! No point in hiding now! Gorman brother 1 threw the flaming club on top of the roof of the house and it started to catch on fire. Romani: Sis! What are we going to do now? The Gorman brothers got off their horses and sent them away from the flames. They both took out their pitch forks. Gorman brother 2: Well, Ill go grab the cows and milk and bring them to our place. You going after your bonus prize? Gorman brother 1: Yes! I will be right behind you! Gorman brother 2 went into the barn and Gorman brother 1 kicked open the front door. Cremia and Romani rushed downstairs to get away from the fire. Most of it was on the top floor but starting to spread across the entire house. Gorman brother 1 stood in the middle of the living room blocking Cremia and Romani from getting to the front door. Cremia: Fine! We'll give you what you want! Just take the cows and milk and go! Never come back here! Gorman brother 1: Oh my brother is already doing that! I'm after something else. He slowly started walking towards Cremia and Romani while chuckling and gripping his pitch fork tight with both hands. A bright flash lit up the entire living room. Everyone was blinded. Cremia felt someone grab her hand. She held onto Romani's hand as Link was pulling them out of the fire. He sat them down on the grass outside of the flaming house. Cremia and Romani still couldn't see anything. The 2nd Gorman brother had almost left the ranch with the milk and cows but saw the flash of light from behind him so he decided to go back. Gorman brother 1 stumbled outside of the house holding his eyes as he still couldn't see. He rubbed his eyes and opened them for a split second then Link sparked the Deku flint again and blinded Gorman brother 1 again. From behind, Gorman brother 2 knocked the Deku flint out of Link's hands with the back of his pitch fork. Cremia and Romani slowly started to regain their vision. Cremia could see a green blur going up against Gorman brother 2. She heard the shouting of the Gorman brother as he was attacking but also heard another familiar voice shouting too. Cremia: Link!? Romani: Grasshopper is here? He's going to save us again! Link thought to himself: They remember me...Link began fighting more fiercely but for the most part, all he could do was carefully aim his super deku stick and keep deflecting the pitch fork. Link took a bad cut to the waist and cried out in pain. He got angry and swung the super deku stick with force and unleashed a flurry of fast attacks on the Gorman brother. Gorman brother 2's pitch fork broke in half and he took several bumps and bruises. Gorman brother 1 came out of nowhere with his horse and grabbed Gorman brother 2 and helped him up onto the horse and they took off towards the entrance of the ranch. Gorman brother 1: This isn't over! Link fell onto his back, holding his side. Cremia: Link! Cremia and Romani ran towards Link. Cremia helped him sit up with her arm supporting his back. Link looked up at Cremia then at Romani and saw how happy they were. Link smiled as he kept holding his side that was bleeding. Cremia held Link while Romani stared into the distance as the Gorman brothers left Romani ranch. Link looked over at their house that had almost fully burned down and looked sad. Cremia: Hey! Don't be sad! You saved us! Our cows and milk are still here and we still have our barn. We can rebuild our house...Maybe with your help if you don't mind? Link smiled and nodded. Romani: So Grasshopper will stay with us for a while? Link nodded again. Romani: Yay! Cremia smiled as she looked into Link's eyes. A heart container appeared between Cremia and Romani then slowly hovered towards Link. Link now has 5 hearts in total. Cremia: Well I don't think the Gorman brothers will be coming back anytime soon. Romani: And if they do, Grasshopper will stop them! Cremia: Well our house has burned down but we still have the barn...not the greatest having to share a house with cows but until we rebuild the house, it'll have to do. Cremia helped Link stand up. The 5th heart container helped heal him but he still had a bad cut on his side and was still in pain. They walked into the barn. Link looked to his right and saw a row of cows lined up with a bunch of milk stashed at the back and to his left, he saw a big pile of hay in the corner. Romani hopped onto the right side of the pile of hay. Cremia brought Link towards the pile of hay and took out some bandages and healing agents. Moments later, Link was all bandaged up and felt much better. Cremia put her hand on his face and made Link blush. Link tried to avoid eye contact as he was nervous. Cremia: I'm really glad you're back Link...Sleep well, and thanks for saving us again. She smiled then lay down close to Romani to keep warm. Link smiled and turned the other way and fell asleep instantly.
Link was in the middle of a bad dream. He was fighting 2 opponents. 1 had his sword and shield, the other had all of his items. He gasped when he noticed them both wearing the mask of truth. Link was shuddering while tossing and turning then Cremia woke him up. Cremia: Having a bad dream? You look cold...She lay back down next to Romani and reached out to Link and said: Would you like to lay down next to us and keep warm? Link's face went red and he couldn't move. Cremia reached out and grabbed his hand and gently pulled him towards her. Link lay down on the left side with his back to Cremia. She pushed herself up against Link's back and put her arm around him and held him close. Link was glad he had his back turned because he was blushing and very nervous but he felt warm and fuzzy like the first time she hugged him. For the first time in a very long time, Link was happy, content and finally at peace.
