Morning came and Link couldn't believe how late it was. It was the best sleep he had in as long as he could remember. He yawned and stretched then got out of bed and walked outside of the barn. Romani: Hey, grasshopper! You slept in so we've been doing all the work! Cremia: Romani! Be nice! He did just save us. Romani: I was only teasing...Link looked over at where their house burned down. They had removed most of the burnt parts of the house and already started gathering materials. Cremia: When our dad was around, he taught me how to help build and repair things so I'm hoping we can get this done without wasting money on those slacking carpenters from clock town. All of a sudden, Tatl and Tael flew across the ranch super fast towards Link. Cremia: Oh yeah, I forgot you were a fairy boy! Link got a flash back of Malon from Hyrule calling him fairy boy when they first met. He was sad for a moment thinking about how he'll most likely never return to Hyrule and never know if any of his friends were okay. Cremia: Are you okay, Link? Tatl: Listen! We have no time to waste! We know where your sword and shield are! Tael: Yeah, your items as well! Tatl: I was getting to that! Look we need to go right now! Link looked over at Cremia and Romani. Romani: Go get your stuff back, Grasshopper! Then you can really beat those Gorman jerks! Cremia: Please be safe...We're glad you're back...Romani: Geeze, Sis. Give the guy a break! Don't worry, we'll have this house built in no time! Link nodded then ran closely behind Tatl and Tael who were leading the way.
Later that day.
Link arrived at the Deku palace. He climbed up a tree in the distance close to the throne room. The tree had super thick leaves so he could stay hidden but still see what was going on in the palace. Link was shocked at what he saw. A bunch of monkey's were enslaved by the Deku King. They were working around the clock building the palace to be even more massive. Deku King: Faster! If they slow down, give them the whip! One monkey slowed down and the Deku scrub cracked the whip on him. The monkey yelped out in pain and picked up the pace. Link was angry with what he saw but couldn't do anything. He looked over at Tatl. Tatl: I had to show you this first but your stuff is in woodfall temple! Follow us! Link quickly climbed down the tree and ran in behind them.
Later that day.
They had finally arrived at the giant swamp with the woodfall temple in the middle of it all. Tael: We uh...forgot to mention. We don't know how you're going to get to the door...You can't fly can you? Tatl: Of course he can't fly! Are you stupid? Tael: Well I figured since we went and got Link...You maybe had a plan. Tatl: Don't blame this on me! Link is the one who's good at solving puzzles! It's his job to figure this out! Link stared into the distance at the temple. All of a sudden, a vine came down from the trees. Link looked up and saw the monkey with the deku princess on his back, swinging towards them. They jumped off the vine and the monkey handed it to Link. Deku princess: We thought it was you! The monkey: Yes. We saw you in the distance when you were heading to the temple! Deku Princess: Please, Link! You have to help us! Everything has gone crazy since the 4 new rulers took over Termina. They have almost everyone brain washed! Even my dad! He's enslaved the entire monkey tribe! The monkey: All except me...I managed to escape thanks to the Deku Princess! Tatl: As a matter of fact, we are heading to this temple to get back Link's stuff. That way Link has more in his arsenal than just a stick. Tael: SIS! Tatl: What? Link grabbed onto the vine and swung towards the Deku temple.
Link had finally made it to the boss room where his opponents were. 2 small figures no bigger than Link, stood in the middle of the wide open dark room. Link saw his sword and mirror shield on one of his opponents back. Link thought to himself: How am I going to get my stuff back? I could barely handle the Gorman brothers now I'm going up against someone who has my sword, shield and someone with the rest of my stuff...The teenagers spoke and the words sent chills down Link's spine...You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you? Both Tatl and Tael shivered in fear and backed up and hid behind Link. Tatl: They must be 2 of the 4 new rulers of Termina...Link took out his Deku stick that was almost broken after so many uses. The teenagers turned around and just like in Link's dream, they were both wearing the mask of truth. They also looked just like the mask salesmen kids from the moon just before he faced Majora's mask almost a year ago. One of them reached behind his back and took out Link's sword and mirror shield. Tatl: I remember you! We saw you guys inside the moon during the dawn of the carnival when the moon was going to wipe out everyone in Termina! Why have you taken over Termina? What do you have planned? Why have you banned all weapons? What are you trying to hide? The 2 mask salesmen teenagers both started talking at the same time which sounded very creepy. The 2 mask salesmen teenagers: There is still so much you don't know...But if you defeat us...You might just figure it all out.
