Anju and Romani stayed behind at the ranch with tael watching over them while Kafie, Link, Tatl and Cremia head outside towards the milk cart. Cremia hopped on the front as Link and Kafie jumped in the back and pulled the covers over top of the cart to cover up the milk and the 2 of them. Cremia gave the horse a gentle crack of the whip and the horse started walking towards the entrance of the ranch.

2 hours later

Kafie: So Cremia...Have you found anyone...special yet? Link turned his head towards Kafie and Cremia as he sat closer to the back of the cart looking over at the 2 of them. Cremia: You already know I only...have feelings for you...Kafie: It isn't healthy for you to still feel for me...I'm with Anju. I love her and you need to move on...Cremia: It isn't that easy...Link had a sad look on his face. Tatl hovered closer to Link and softly asked: Are you alright, Link? Link slowly nodded. Cremia: Anyways...we're approaching the south west exit. Without warning, the giant bird flew towards the milk cart while screeching super loud. Cremia shouted: What the hell?! Kafie and Link jumped out of the milk cart. Kafie took a swing with his spear at the bird but the bird flew out of the way and flew upwards. It turned around and picked up momentum as it dove towards the milk cart again. Cremia: Oh no! Look out you guys! Cremia was trembling in her seat while Kafie braced himself with his spear. Link calmly took out his bow and arrows and knocked an arrow. He looked carefully at the bird as it was only seconds away. He loosed the arrow and it struck the bird in the wing. It crashed into the ground and started squirming. Link casually walked up, took out his golden sword and cut the bird's head clean off. Link wiped the blood off of his sword onto the birds dead body and the sun lit up his golden sword. He put it away behind his back then walked back towards the milk cart. Tatl: Nicely done, Link! I think it's safe to say that thing wont be bothering us anymore. Cremia: Wow...That was really cool! How do you have such good aim? It was moving so fast! Link smiled at Cremia. Kafie: Yes, that was very impressive, Link! After seeing that I feel even more confident we can take back the town!

1 hour later

Cremia parked the milk cart in town next to the milk bar. She opened the back cover just enough to grab the milk. Link and Kafie were sitting in the back staying out of site. Minutes later, Cremia came out of the milk bar after dropping off the milk. She walked up to the cart and opened the covers to put the rupees in the back. Cremia was just about to say something to Link and Kafie as one of the guards shouted: Hey! Hold on one second! Link and Kafie both looked over at each other and nodded. Cremia moved out of the way then Link and Kafie jumped out of the back of the milk cart. The guard shouted: Kafie! You traitor! The guard blew a loud whistle and within seconds, the other 8 guards came running. Kafie: Alright Link! Whatever you have planned, now is the time! Link nodded and took out his Ocarina. Link played the Gorons lulluby. His notes echoed far but nothing happened. Kafie: Um...Link. They are getting closer. What does that song do? Tatl: Oh no! This isn't good Link! Maybe that song only works when played as a goron...or maybe your ocarina wont work because you still don't have your magic back? All 9 guards faced Link and Kafie. Kafie: We don't have to do this. You guys have been brainwashed by the magic of the 4 rulers. Guard leader: We wont listen to a traitor! Especially one who killed one of his own! Kafie: Well...technically I killed 2. Tatl: Oh great, cause that'll help our situation! The guards charged at Link and Kafie.

Back at Romani Ranch

Anju: So Romani, why were you and Link outside at 2am? Romani: My sister doesn't believe me, you probably wouldn't either. Anju: You're worried I wouldn't believe you because you're a child? Romani: That's not it. It's the reasoning behind it that you wouldn't believe. Anju: Try me. Romani: 2 nights before the dawn of the carnival of time, 52 hours before to be exact, They arrive...Anju: Who's they? Romani: They show up in a bright orange light that hovers across the entire ranch. They are purple aliens with glowing eyes and sharp claws. They try to take our cows. Anju: Why would they do that? Romani: I think it's because they want the magic properties of Chateau Romani. Tael: My sister told me about this actually. It's hard to believe but my sister wouldn't lie about something like that. Anju: I believe you. Romani: You do? Thanks! I wish my sister did...I wonder how she's doing right now.

Back in Clock Town

Link and Kafie managed to kill one of the guards equipped with twin blades. His body lay close to the milk cart where Cremia was standing while watching the fight. Link and Kafie both had minor wounds from the fight and were getting overwhelmed by the remaining 8 guards. Kafie: I may have underestimated these guys Link...I'm sorry. The 8 guards stopped for a moment and looked towards the east exit as to their surprise, they saw another guard standing there. Guard leader: Who's that? He looked over at Link and smiled. Link remembered helping him in the canyon entrance by giving him a potion. Shiro walked up to Link and looked over at the other guards. Shiro: Word got out that you were wanted. You've helped me before and now I'm here to return the favor. These guys are under the control of the 4 new rulers. Allow me to help even the odds...10 minutes into the fierce battle they were still overwhelmed by the now 7 on 3 odds. Link was deflecting the attacks from a guard with a spear and 2 guards both with a sword and shield. Kafie and Shiro were both trying to hold off the remaining 4. One guard noticed Cremia standing behind the milk cart so he started running towards her. Link gasped as he saw the guard heading towards her but he couldn't do anything as he was busy fighting 3 guards at once and barely keeping it together. Tatl: Oh no! He's coming right for you! Cremia looked down at the dead guard and ran towards his body. Tatl: What are you doing!? Cremia reached down and picked up the twin blades. The guard swung his spear at Cremia and she easily deflected the attack with one of her swords. She spun around quickly with the other sword, cut his spear in half then stabbed him through the heart. Link and Kafie both gasped and all the guards stopped and looked over as Cremia pulled the sword from his chest and his dead body hit the ground. Kafie: What the hell?! You never told me you could use a sword! Cremia: It's my first time ever trying. Link stared at Cremia for a moment then remembered some old dialogue back from Hyrule. Link entered LonLon ranch and went up to Talon wearing the Gerudo mask. Talon: Hey...That kinda looks like my wife! Wait...On second thought, it doesn't really look like her at all...Link also remembered reading the gossip stone next to the temple of time and hearing about Gerudo women occasionally heading to castle town to look for boyfriends. Link thought to himself: She might be half Gerudo and that's why she could have a natural talent for wielding twin blades...Another 10 minutes later the guards were nearly all defeated. Only 2 of them remained. Tatl: Just surrender! There's only 2 of you left! There's no point in continuing! Guard Leader: I can't let down the new rulers...Tatl: Is that their name? Do they expect so much from you and yet you know pretty much nothing about them? Not even their name? Does that make sense to you? Link stood in the middle holding his side as he had a bad cut and was bleeding. Kafie and Shiro were both exhausted and sore but had no serious wounds. They both stood beside Link as if to protect him on both sides. Cremia stood in behind, still holding her twin blades and also with no serious wounds or even a scratch on her. Both guards charged towards Link, Kafie, Shiro and Cremia. Kafie and Shiro forced their spears through the chests of the last 2 guards. Their lifeless bodies hit the ground. Link fell towards the ground but Cremia caught him. Link looked up at her and smiled then passed out moments later.

later that night

Cremia was riding the milk cart with Link, Kafie and Shiro in the back. Shiro: How are you doing Link? Kafie: He'll be fine. He's the toughest person I know. Shiro: He's very tough for a kid! Cremia: He isn't a kid...He's an adult. I've never seen a kid who can fight like he can. Shiro: Oh right! Sorry I didn't mean...Cremia's words made Link smile. All of a sudden they felt a heavy bump. Link groaned in pain as he was still bleeding and in a lot of pain. Cremia stopped the cart and got out. Kafie and Shiro hopped out as well. Cremia Looked at one of the wheels and saw it took heavy damage. Cremia: Now how the hell did that happen? Well...It's gotta be almost midnight by now. We wont be able to fix this until tomorrow. We have to walk back the rest of the way. Little did they know, the last surviving Gorman brother was watching them from a distance in the bushes. He was far away and it was dark out so no one could see him. Link got out of the milk cart while still holding his side. He tried to walk straight but stumbled. Kafie: Me and Shiro can carry the rupees and the other heavy stuff so thieves won't be able to rip off the cart over night. Cremia: Okay and I'll carry Link. Link blushed as Cremia walked towards him. She turned around with her back facing Link and crouched down. Cremia: Come on, I'll carry you back to the ranch. It isn't far. Link was still blushing but slowly climbed onto Cremia's back. She stood up and they all continued walking towards the ranch. Link gently placed his arms around her shoulders as she held onto his legs with her arms. Link smiled as he rested his head on her shoulders. Cremia: Well aren't you cute? Kafie looked over at Link and saw how happy he looked even though he was badly wounded.
